Manufacturer of Lenovo mice

What company manufactures the Lenovo USB Optical Wheel Mouse, model MO28UOL and the Lenovo ScrollPoint Mouse, model MO09BO? There have been a number of mice made for IBM and Lenovo that have similar model numbers. Is it Logitech, Primax, or another company?

Hi,
For now only Philips is IC Manufacturer of JCOP but there are many card manufacturers all over the world.
I already had a chance to work with some SmartMX JavaCard implementations, my company got some samples from Philips but they don't call them JCOP yet. And they don't distribute them yet, just like very few customers got them for now.
Those samples ain't holding full GP2.1 spec yet but what I have tasted there .... well it was quite impressive. Like, they have this new HW design where each block works with his own clock, this makes HW much faster. And then, they have like 72K EE for whatever you need .... and JC2.2, and contactless and contact IF working together ... even USB will be on it, so this means no more reader problems&expenses!
The best thing is - I have used my normal JCOP 30 tools with them and didn't face any problem. Just some spec differences have to be cleared first - like in GP 2.2 there are more ways to install and to delete applet and package ..... so we have already started some development for it and we will be ready when they kick them out off fab.
Summary, Philips is working on the best da*m JavaCard ever .... what I just think is a bit lousy at Philips - they are not agressive enough. Like, they have Infineon on their neck, they don't have product nearly good as Philips, but they are forcing them like hell, I could bet they sell even more... but my explanation on this was like ... Infineon is German company ... Philips comes from Holland .... and there are many things legal in this country .... this must be a reason why Philips guys do play this game more relaxed.

  • Upgraded To Snow Leopard And Now The Mic Is Not Working

I upgraded to Snow Leopard, and now my mic input is not woking on my 2 year old MacBook Pro. Can you tell me how to fix it?

    Dainis,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
You haven't provided much information so there is no way for us to trouble shoot your issue. I'm guessing you plugged a mic into the port, if so go to manufacturer of the mic's web site and see if that device is Snow Leopard compatible. Otherwise our hands are tied on how to help you.

    hi Arczi_Ghost,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
From the first video, it looks like there's a problem with the Windows Loader or a system file that's needed to load but fails. Since you already re-installed Windows, this is most likely not an OS issue.
    - Windows 7 Boot Process
From the second video, the flickering can be with the display (LCD) or wit hthe GPU / GPU driver. It's a bit early to tell without running some tests.
If you manage to boot Windows, can you try the following:
    1. Install Lenovo Solutions Center and run a full hardware scan on the PC.
2.. Alternatively, you can also manually install the following and run a quick test on the unit.
    - Lenovo Video Quick Test
    - Lenovo Motherboard Bus Quick Test
    - Lenovo Memory Test
    - Lenovo Storage Quick Test
    Edt: Fixed the links
Let me know how it goes.

  • Lenovo yoga 213 wifi card not working in the new laptop

I purchaed lenovo yoga 213 from Best Buy Boston and have brought to India. From the day one,the Bluetooth and Wifi is not working. On taking to their authorised service centr-Hitech technologies they have tried to replace the wifi card but even they are not able to solve the problem.I am trying to contact Lenovo for replacement of Laptop, but there is no response from them. What should I do?

Lenovo service centre has done all these after getting a replacement card
from Lenovo and again they have reported that the wifi replacement card
recieved is defective ,so they have asked for 2 nd time replacement of
wificard as well as the touchpad which they say carries the antenna for
wifi. The bottom line is i am tired of running around to service centre and
have not been able to use the laptop from the time i have bought the
laptop.I thought if there is a manufacturing defect lenovo, being a reputed
    brand will replace the laptop.

  • SSC v's MIC

    Hi folks,
I have recently added some new APs to our existing network. I went through the process of updating them from autonomous to lightweight so as to manage them from a central controller (4400 Series Wireless LAN Controller).
However, the controller sees the certificate type on the new APs as MIC and the existing APs have SSC certificates. Is there any cause for concern here, if so, what would it be and how would I go about addressing this?
    Many thanks for your assistance.
    JP

    No concern.
After a certain date (2006 or sth ?), all aps cames with a manufactured installed certificate (MIC). Those APs can be converted from IOS to lwapp/capwap by a simple IOS swap.
Only older APs, not having a certificate require the lwapp upgrade tool to install a Self-signed (SSC) certificate on them.
No concern at all, see ? :-)

  • Lenovo 256 Solid State Drive Part Number?

I purchased a Lenovo 256GB SSD. The part number that I ordered was 43N3417.
When the drive arrived, the part numbers on it did not match.
The part number is 45N7990 and FRU is 45N7991.
The drive is a Toshiba drive that was made January 21, 2011.
Its marked as a 256GB Solid State Drive.
Can anyone confirm that the part number 45N7990 is a Lenovo part number?
Does Toshiba make the SSD for Lenovo?
Is this a true Lenovo drive or some knockoff drive?
    Thank you,
    Mike

    I'll chime in.
I ordered a 43N3417 256GB FDE SSD directly from Lenovo in May, 2012. The box that arrived said P/N 43N3417 but had the Part # 45N7990 / FRU # 45N7901 part inside just as described earlier.  It is labeled as an 256GB FDE SSD made by Toshiba.
The box said it was "Manufactured for Lenovo" 2011-12-16.
I also have a 2nd 43N3417 unit which arrived the same way so this appears to be what Lenovo ships for the 43N3417, perhaps depending on supply..or either they have a bunch of boxes with mislabeled parts inside.
    Later.

  • Upgrade Tool error

I want to install lightweight IOS  into Aironet 1131AG by using Upgrade Tool.
However, some error messages appear saying
    1. ACL / Firewall might be blocking the TFTP.
    2. Disable the ACL/Firewall setting for TFTP.
I don't set up any ACL because I am trying to install to the Aironet which was just initialized by using mode button.
    Configuration is just like followings
Is there any possiblity that the configuration block the TFTP communication ?
now, ping is reachable and directly, I am connecting AP and PC with upgrade tool .
and windows firewall is disable on the PC.
But the upgrade tool is error.
Please let me know the reason why the TFTP communication is failed.
    best regards

    Shouichi,
Adding to Scott--After the 1230 family, you don't really need the upgrade tool anymore because the newer APs all come with Manufacturer Installed Certificates (MICs), which is something a lot of the older 1230s didn't have (some did, some didn't).
One of the main functions of the Upgrade Tool is to generate an SSC on older APs without MICs and then store the key hash for installation into the controller so that the AP can join. (You can even do this without the tool, but it can get pretty labor intensive if you're doing it manually on the AP CLI.)
The other nice feature of the Upgrade Tool is its batching capability, but you can do this pretty simply with a Windows CLI, CatTools, or scripted within most of the popular terminal apps.
While it's a decent effort by Cisco to make converting APs a bit easier, unless I'm working on 1230s, I try to avoid the Upgrade Tool as I've found it likes to express its bugs at exactly the wrong moments.

  • How to join the AP to the WLC

    Hi All,
I am new to Cisco wireless solution and would like to ask how to add the AP to the WLC properly. All Cisco 1041 and Cisco 2500 WLC are new. I connect those AP and WLC to the switch without any VLAN tag and the AP can gain the IP address from our DHCP correctly. However, the AP 1041 could not join the WLC successfully. Here is the log. I really do not have any idea about that and hope someone can help. Many thanks.
    WLC: Cisco 2500
    IP Address: 192.168.1.225
    version: 7.4.100.0
    AP: 1041
    IP Address (DHCP): 192.168.1.195
    version: 15.2(2)JB
I also checked the following item.
    - WLC already enable Accept Manufactured Installed Certificate (MIC) in WLC -> Security -> AP Policy
    - WLC can ping AP and vice versa
    - WLC has 5 AP license
    - All configuration are default setting
    - Tried to issued join command in AP manually but no luck "lwapp ap controller ip add 192.168.1.225"

  • 3602E won't connect to 5508 WLAN

    Hi all,
This is a lab system that I'm just building out- I try to see the obvious but it does bite me occasionally.  I have a 5508 WLC running release 7.4.1.  My AP's are all Cisco 3602E's with the AC modules.  My problem is that the Access points can't seem to join the WLAN- I can see them talking, debug output below. They are pingable from the WLC CLI, verified that options 43 and 60 are ok, Here's my debug:
Under SECURITY > AAA > AP Policies the only thing checked is:

Odd thing is that I am seeing this under recent traps, although I am not using any AAA sergver or RADIUS server- none are configured at all.
    Thanks!

I would upgrade your wireless LAN controller to 7.5 version because the 802.11ac technology is supported on that version only so the access point might be waiting for that version to join. I say might because I don't have access points with ac modules yet but I am completelly sure and possitive that 802.11ac is supported from the 7.5 version so, if you have the modules and want to use the ac technology you will need to upgrade your WLC anyways.

  • Trouble getting Cisco 2600 Series AP to stay joined to WLC 5508

    Hi,
I have recently been tasked with upgrading our old Autonomous APs to LWAPs.  We have a 5508 WLC at our Virtual Co-Lo and I am using Flexconnect to accomadate local switching and dhcp at our sites.  I have upgraded over 50 APs and joined them to the controller.  These include only 1130AG and 1240AG models.  However they are working flawlessly and staying connected to the controller.  The issue I'm having is with a new batch of 2600 series APs staying connected to the controller.  I have attempted to do research into what may be causing the disconnects but have yet to find a solution.  I am using DNS to resolve the CAPWAP & LWAPP queries from the APs to the controller accross our WAN.  In reading other posts I thought it may be an issue with packets getting dropped but have had our Vendor who manages Sonicwalls at both ends of the WAN confirm for me there is no packet loss.  Below are logs I gathered using puttty from the AP & WLC.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
AP I'm doing the testing on:

Under my AP Policies I only have "Accept Manufactured Installed Certificate (MIC)" checked.  I attempted to add the AP based on MAC Address (c0:67:af:6f:25:70) with this certificate type but still have the same issue.  I then ran the following debug on my controller and this is the output I recieve regarding that MAC.  I tried to cut the output short because it get's somewhat redundant but was unsure what exactly to look for in the output.  Should I be selecting a different certificate type?  I am somewhat new to wireless technologies but doing my best to pick things up so if this seems trivial please forgive my ignorance.

  • How much longer before wireless ThinkPad keyboard?

How much longer do we have to wait for a wireless ThinkPad keyboard?
Current ThinkPad USB keyboard with TrackPoint is ridiculously priced, considering it's on a wire, while you can buy a very decent wireless keyboard from Logitech for half the price. (I'm referring to the K340, which has quite a decent key-press experience.)
Seriously, nowadays wireless keyboards are no rocket science, nor expensive to manufacture. Lenovo totally dropped the ball here. Or maybe Lenovo thinks its Lenovo-branded wireless keyboards are reasonable competition for the ThinkPad family? Well, either way, Logitech wins.
    Get your act together!
Of course I realize I'm most likely talking to a wall. After all this is the company that has just released it's a top-shelf laptop family (X220) that lacks USB 3.0. And in the past - workstations for CG artists and CAD engineers (T61p) with a TN display and a D-Sub port. Also, 16:9 displays (i.e. a ratio useful only in movies) in business laptops.
Seriously, you need to hire a new person for feature policy. Someone with common sense.

I second that, third that and fouth that.  Instead Lenovo seems to be heading in the opposite direction w/ the latest USB keyboard dropping the UltraNav and keeping trackpoint only.
A wireless UltraNav would be a kick butt wireless accessory which I'd buy in a flat heartbeat.  Just think how useful it would be home theater setups or just in general... as I am having so many issues w/ my USB Ultranav and doc 3.
My dentist office uses a wireless setup in each patient room and they have a wirelss keyboard and mouse.. you should see them using the mouse sometimes.  A wireless UltraNav is the best of both options!
If I could take the keyboard off my W510 and the fingerprint reader and integrate that into a wirelss ultranav.. then there's perfection.

  • @T440p owner: which HDD is buildet in?

Dear T440p owners, which HDD is buildet in your laptop?
I'm specialy interested in the original HDD
    which 500GB - 7200rpm is it?
    and which 1TB - 5400rpm is it?
    regards
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The parts list shows that Hitachi, Toshiba and Western Digital drives are used, to find out exactly which is fitted in a unit the serial number will be required as Lenovo will use whichever is available at the time of manufacture, (although over the years my experience says Hitachi seems to be the first choice manufacturer by Lenovo, but this is no guarantee).
You can select the parts list on the following site where you will also notice that none of the 1TB drives have 7200RPM.
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/partsDBLookup.page
The 20ANCTO1WW is a Construct To Order system, it will have the size and speed of drive you choose when ordering, it will not be possible to choose the drive's manufacturer

  • WLC easy question

Hi, Ive got a WLC and stupidly highlighted an AP and selected remove AP. how do I get it to register again withthe controller. WLC is  version 7.0.116.0

Make sure on the Security | AAA | AP Policies tab that you don't have the last two checkbox enabled. By default, Accept Manufactured Installed Certificate (MIC) is the only one checked.

  • Proof of Purchase - Win 7 upgrade option (need help)

    hi,
I ordered a Win 7 on Lenovo win7 upgrade option site today, i`ve got an email with details of my order, but there is nothing about sending proof of purchase i read before that it`s nessesery but i didn`t get any  information about how to send this proof of purchase and where.
In my email there is only information about order, my status,
    Order Status              Pending for Payment
    Payment Status         Pending for deduction
    Payment Date         NA
    and this:
Your credit card will only be charged EUR 17.75 upon the release of the selected language of Windows 7. The price shown is inclusive of tax and shipping charges.
An email will be sent to you upon successful payment.
but my friend who had ordered his win 7 2 months earlier got different message:\
Your credit card will only be charged EUR 17.75 upon the release of the selected language of Windows 7 or successful validation of your Proof of Purchase, whichever comes later. The price shown is inclusive of tax and shipping charges.
An email will be sent to you upon successful payment.
So, could somebody help me? why we have got different emails?
Is Proof of purchase needed to get win7 or something changed?
    PS: sorry for my english...

    gorzi, welcome to the forum,
don't panic! On the underside of your sytem is a label, on it you will find your type - model number, serial number and date of manufacture. Lenovo know, through the model and s/n when your system was manufactured. I'll bet that your manufacture date starts with 09 followed by a number larger than 06. In other words; if it's after 09/06 you don't need to provide proof of purchase as the system wasn't built before the upgrade program started.
Your credit card will be charged when they send the discs.
    Hope this helps

  • Missing model ? 2373ZXP

    Hello everyone !
My company bought 140 Thinkpads for some time ago.
We are having trouble to get those computers supported because Lenovo dont know the model ?
On the box that we got the computers delivered in the model is known as MACHINE TYPE-MODEL 2373-ZXP, the part number : 2373zxp and ex. L3XXXXX, and manufactured for Lenovo 2006-02-05
Topnordic was the seller of this computers and they have put a label on the boxes where the model is 2373CTO.
    The specs are m745/1.8 Ghz / 1 gb / 60 gb / DVDR / WIFI /XPP
The problem is that the automatic update dosent work because the model is not a known model, and we are having trouble to get the correct drivers for the model.
How its possible to buy a model from Lenovo that they dont know afterwards I dont get, but now the problem is mne, because of some errors.
These errors are hard to get help to, because no one knows the model ?
Are there anyone having any god advice in this matter.
    Kind regards Thomas
Ps. in the bios there are these informations, I tried to run update today, and the systemupdate found a biosupdate ?? dont know how when the model is not known.

    Hello there !
Yes off course you are right about that.
But the sticker at the bottom off the pc says the same as the one label on the box.
But as you know the updating program sends the number from the bios , and this number dosenst exist ?
So when I try to get the servers to regonize the machine, I get the message " sorry cant fint that modelnumber ? "
    This is the main problem.
I know the device matrix, but the machine isent any one of these, so its quite impossible to find the drivers.
I have been talking to a guy from IBM, and he said to me, that I had to rewrite the modelnumber, and this is quite frustrating because the computers are spread all over the country, and a bit odd I believe that 140 computers have left the buildings of Leonovo factorys with a modelnumber that dosent exist ?
Sorry for the listing of the serialnumber, dident consider any problems with listing it here.
Kind regards Thomas, and hope to hear from you again
