    Hi,
    Thank you for information.
It's mentioned that, combine with SAP ERP lean functionality SAP LPO offers end-to-end platform for lean implementations across the enterprise.
    Pl.let me know
    1) what are all the SAP ERP lean functionality (other than KANBAN and JIT).
    2) Is xLPO add on facility or a separate system like APO?
    3) If so, how to get the add on facility or Separate system?
    4) If it's a separate system, how to Map it? (again with CIF - similar to APO)

  • Mapping Manufacturer in to Vendor Master

    Hi
Per our clients' new audit requirements, we need to be able to link current raw materials by plant to the manufacuturer and manufacturer's location.  In some cases, Client procures from a broker and there is no visibility of the manufacturer within SAP.
We need to assess current vendor master/Procurement structure to see if it is possible to get this link within SAP and still buy via a broker.
    Thanks
    Maruthi Ram

    Implement the MPN fucntinality.
    Define manufacturer part profile
Manufacturer part profiles (MPN profiles) allow you to specify for each of your firms own materials the conditions under which the MPN material may be used in the procurement process.
Using the MPN profile, you can determine the following, for example:
Whether the MPN material has to be entered in the purchase order.
Whether purchasing info records are created for the firms own material or for the MPN materials.
Whether the PO text for the firmu2019s own material or the one for the MPN material is used.
Whether the MPN material may be changed during the procurement process.
Whether the system is to check the approved manufacturer parts list when an MPN material is entered.
You define the MPN profiles in Customizing for Purchasing under Material Master.
You enter the MPN profile in the master record for your firms own material (Purchasing view).
Create master records for manufacturers and manufacturer plants
If, during the process of procuring materials, you wish to have the option of choosing between several manufacturers of a material, or between several of a certain manufacturers plants, you must create separate master records for such manufacturers and for the relevant plants belonging to the latter.
The number of master records you will need to create for manufacturers, manufacturer plants, and vendors, depends on
Whether the vendor is also the manufacturer
Which of the plants belonging to a certain manufacturer you wish to procure materials from
    Vendor is not the manufacturer
If the manufacturer is not a vendor (end supplier), you can store the manufacturer data in a manufacturer master record with a minimum of data entry effort. You then assign the account group MNFR to this manufacturer master record. If you wish to store an external ID for the manufacturer, enter it in the control data (External manufacturer field). This identification will appear in the purchase order.
    Vendor is also the manufacturer
If the vendor is simultaneously the manufacturer, you can work with vendor master records. You must then ensure that a partner schema that takes the partner role HS into consideration is assigned to the account group of the vendor master record. (In Customizing for Purchasing under Partner Determination ® Partner Settings in Vendor Master Record ® Assign Partner Schemas to Account Groups). The manufacturer plants must then have the partner role HS in the vendor master record.
You wish to procure materials from certain specific manufacturer plants
If the manufacturer has several Manufacturer Plants, you can create a separate manufacturer master record with the account group MNFR for each of them. The manufacturer plants must have the partner role HS (manufacturer plant) in the manufacturer (vendor) master record.

  • Standard report -To get products Manufactured Place

    Hi,
I’m looking for a report that will tell me where our products are manufactured in SAP? I mean SHIP-FROM.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    Praveen

    Hi,
This is not as easy as you would imagine
You need to know which Plants the materials have been set up in but this does not necessarily mean that the material was manufactured there.
A lot depends on how you have structured your material master process. If you ONLY create an MRP view on the material master record for the plant at which it is manufactured, then a simple search through the MARC would give you the list.
Just use SE16N search for all materials with a MARC not equal to spaces and it will list all manufactured materials and the plant that they have MRP views created for. You can export thje list to excel to massage it if it helps.

  • PI Integration between SAP NW MDM and APO

    Hi SDners,
This is a Parts Master Data Solution for one of the Largest Auto Manufacturer where SAP MDM will be the central hub of all the Global and Local attributes of Parts . The subscribing system is SAP SCM APO  . Please advice if there is any possibility of direct integration between APO -MDM through PI. Does PI has the standard IDOC types to communicate with APO.
    Thanks,
    Prabuddha

    Hi Roy,
Please search for standard content in SAP Market place. If you have standard content then you can download and install in PI. With standard you can directly use the master data mappings coming from MDM. If either in MDM or APO has any changes from standard then you can do the map accordingly.
PI doesnot hold any idocs, whatever system here in your case APO what ever the master idocs, you can import the metadata and then do the mapping accordingly.
Just for an example you can see on how to do this:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70c83ba5-5c86-2b10-2fbf-9135c4fc248f?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true

    Hi,
Check the LUWs in SM58 in source system and then execute it. Else check in BD87 and push the IDocs manually in ECC.

  • Topics to be covered in SAP PP Module

    Hi,
Can someone help me in identifying the topics to be discussed in PP Module according to level of the cousrse.
Example: topics to be covered in Basic Level of courese
Topics to be covered in Intermediate level,
Topics to be covered in higher and expert levels.
    Regard's,

    Uday,
It is unclear to which course(s) you refer.   There is no universally accepted definition of divisions as pertains to 'basic/intermediate/higher' relevant to Production Planning.
Refer to the SAP training syllabus.  For each course, you can review the topics contained.  Start with
    https://training.sap.com/us/en/curriculum/erp_pdmmp_us-manufacturing-planning-in-ecc-us/
    and
    https://training.sap.com/us/en/curriculum/pdm_me_us-manufacturing-execution-in-ecc-us/
    Or, the certification path:
    Associate
    https://training.sap.com/us/en/certification/c_tscm42_64-sap-certified-application-associate-production-planning-manufacturing-with-sap-erp-60-ehp4-g
    or Professional
    https://training.sap.com/us/en/certification/p_prod_64-sap-certified-application-professional-production-planning-manufacturing-with-sap-erp-60-ehp4-g/
Review the suggested courses and curricula for these certifications.

  • SAP main category differences

    Hi,
I don't know whether this is the appropriate forum to ask my query?
what is the difference between SAP Netweaver, SAP Business Suite and SAP ECC6.0.
How are they related to each other or disimilar?
By any chance SAP manufacturing and SAP ERP is related to them and their own differences if any one can explain me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Praveen.

    Tutika,
This is not the correct forum for this kind of question. There is a Netweaver forum.
    Definitions:
SAP NetWeaver is SAP's integrated technology platform and is the technical foundation for all SAP applications since the SAP Business Suite. SAP NetWeaver is marketed as a service-oriented application and integration platform. SAP NetWeaver provides the development and runtime environment for SAP applications and can be used for custom development and integration with other applications and systems. SAP NetWeaver is built using open standards and industry de facto standards and can be extended with, and interoperate with, technologies such as Microsoft .NET, Sun Java EE, and IBM WebSphere.
SAP Business Suite is a bundle of business applications that provide integration of information and processes, collaboration, industry-specific functionality, and scalability. SAP Business Suite is based on NetWeaver. CRM, SCM, SRM,
ECC6.0 stands for ERP Central Component which works with SAP ERP, like R/3
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ivan!
The fact the this code worked fine yesterday or is working fine in Dev but not in another system proves nothing. On the contrary, the stack trace confirms that the problem stems from your custom code com.vatti.mes.common.web.BaseServlet.doError(BaseServlet.java:61). The obvious thing is that the method here is called "doError" that likely means you either face some error there or intentionally generate error message. After that the system tries to log the error message but it looks as if com.sap.me.frame.Utils.getStackTrace method gets null as an input parameter e. How does it get triggered and what is passed into - this is a question to your developers.

  • Infor Visual Manufacturing integration

Does anyone know of an add-on or other work done to integrate SAP Business One with Infor's Visual Manufacturing system? Any information about resources for how to pass data from Visual Manufacturing to SAP is appreciated. I am planning to use DTW but would like any information from anyone who may have had to do this in the past. thanks

    Hi Peter,
There is no ready add-on for this.
You can do through DTW but for this you need to make standard templates as given by SAp and as Gordon said this need a lot manual intervention.
You can try through B1iSN (SAP recommend it for SBO8.8 PL12) or IBOLT (Third party tool but you have to map each & every transaction) in both condition initial setup is not that easy though.
You can create your own add-on as per your requirement with the help of SDK developer.

    Sachin
