Many App Modules - breadcrumb links jumbled
Hi,
We use the JHeadstart 10.1.3.3 to develop multiple app modules for our projects.
As per the documentation available, we have modified the
Main Faces Config,
Group Beans Faces Config Directory,
UI Pages Directory,
UI Regions Directory names for different modules.
The functionality works for all the modules. But the breadcrumb links seem to have problem.
when we come out of one app module completely and start with the new traversing of the second module, the old breadcrumb values seem to remain.
ie.
I traverse and update Master and detail tables of 1st App module, i see the breadcrumb to be.
"App Module 1 Master Table -> App Module 1 Detail Table ->"
Then i switch to next app module(App Module 2) link,
Now i expect to see
"App Module 2 Master table "
but i see
"App Module 1 Master Table -> App Module 1 Detail Table -> App Module 2 Master Table"
How do we remove the existing breadcrumbs when we come out of one app module?
Or in other words, is there any other settings we need to modify?

Can I say that I should have 5 application modules ? ( one for each module ? )

xtantoIts difficult to know if 80 is too much or jus right...The danger is that if you have many application modules, and for example a particular UI page requires you to manipluate data in many application modules then this has potential to be "overkill"...each AM requires a check out from the AM pool and database connection etc. etc. etc.
If you need to manipulate many app modules on a single UI page if you were to nest these application modules then this might be more reaslistic...However, if a couple of UI pages requires manipulation of only one app module this sounds reasonable...

So if on pages A, B and C you maintain Sales Order (which is one app module) then thats ok.
If in pages X, Y and Z you manipulate Quotation (which is one app module) that would be ok as well.
If the use case is that in page F, G and H you maintain Sales and on page J you maintain Quotation then you might want to nest one inside the other.
If your use case is on screen K, L M, N, O, P and Q you access 4-5 different app modules then that would raise a concern with me...
Again, don't know if that helps,,,
One way of lookin at this is to create your VOs based on the way you want in the information to appear on your pages and from those pages think about the "uses case" and create your app modules based on those use cases...

Safari will no longer open. It just goes back to my desktop. When I right click on the safari icon in my dashboard it says it is open. I was using firefox until I could find a fix for safari. I made the mistake of changing my default search to firebox later for convenience and now I can't open my system preference or many safari or apple linked files. Some of my emails from trusted sites won't open and does the same thing.
I upgraded my original system from 10.4.11 to I believe 10.6. something about a year or so ago. I thought about re installing my safari app but when I go to open anything connected to safari my screen goes back to the desktop. I cant open any files that I have on my desktop that I set up through safari, like my banking program. Prior to changing system preference to safari default I was able to open those files and now I can't get into change it back. Can you guide me through this?

System Preferences or Safari Preferences?
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart the computer, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one. -
My iMac apps are not linking to relevant files in ICloud
IMac applications not linking to relevant iCloud files
My iMac and relevant software apps will not link to my files and documents in iCloud. This includes Apple apps i.e. pages, numbers etc and 3rd party app i.e. pixelmator etc.
Also back to my mac will not work getting a "iCloud server not responding" message every time I deselect and then try to reselect.
The iMac is linked to my apple ID and shows the files are there against each relevant app listed in the 'manage' pane for the iCloud system preferences.
All the files show on my iPad and can be opened there.
If I save a file eg a page document to iCloud it just show waiting even after hours. It's still on my hard drive, but does not upload.
My mail and calendars are fine and linked to iCloud & iPad etc

1/ repairing permissions
2/ checking key chain
3/ reinstalling the apps
4/ reinstalling OSX ML
5/ formatting the hard drive and reinstalling OSX ML
6/ logging out of my account and relinking many times
7/ said prayers etc . .
I have all ML updates that are availableTry booting into the Safe Mode. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application uninstaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

HELP! I LOST many apps after reinstalled the 10.2.1 OS
My phone is Z10, and the previous carrier is O2. (now I already unlocked it). Yesterday, I post an message about my phone 's problem, today I did , but after I reinstalled the 10.2.1 OS. Something happened. Please take a look and help me .
1. The starting windows image is changed (not China unicom or ).\ feels a little bit slower than before,
2. I lost many apps, the voice control、twitter、 youtube、music etc. Now my phone only have one page of apps( should be three page of apps). And the monitor doesn't have reaction when I tapped it.
3.when I recover my back-up, I found out only those apps from BBW or original apps recovered, the others not.
So what should I do now? I have tried twice to reinstall OS.Based on the screenshot you didn't follow my instructions in the other thread and reinstall the OS using BB Link. You installed a developer version of the OS that you downloaded from somewhere that is incomplete. Please do the following if you're not using Link to install the OS officially:
1. Connect your device to your PC and make a full backup with BB Link (if you don't already have a backup.)
2. Download the correct autoloader for your device from the first post in the thread linked below. You need to know your full model number (i.e. STL100-1 (or -2, -3, -4) which can be found in Settings >About. Make sure you download the one for your model that contains the radio file. There is another crackberry thread that contains a newer radio file that you can load once you're all done if you want to have the latest and greatest. The process for loading a radio file is the same as this process but no need for backup/restore.

You will need to unzip the downloaded file from above before you can run it. If you don't have an unzipping application on your computer you can download 7Zip from here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Close BB Link and leave the device connected.
Double click on the autoloader you downloaded.
The process should take around 5 minutes or so. when it's done, you'll need to complete the startup process before you can connect to Link and restore data.
When you're done you can restore your backup, though I recommend NOT restoring your Settings backup as it's best to start clean with this new OS but it's up to you. You may experience small bugs here and there from restoring the Settings portion of the backup. Media and Application data seem to be OK to restore.
This will install the correct version that has all the apps you're missing.

I've downloaded current update for iPad 2 but it won't install. It keeps coming up as an error. I have deleted many apps but didn't help the situation... What's causing this and how do I fix this?
What is the latest iOS for iPad 2? Is it iOS 7 or can you update to 8?
all I remember is that my iPad mini performed poorly under iOS 7. Try to update it to the very latest version. Also you will have to use iOS 8.1.3, because 8.1.2 is no longer signed in case you were trying to install that. You can get the latest IPSW from http://IPSW.me just enter in your device and it will forward you to the right Apple ios download link.
Another thing is keeping your device memory free, if you have a 16 gig device, it's harder to keep space free. my iPad mini is 16 gig, but all I can ever keep free is 1 GB so I keep it at that. Turn off "iCloud photo sharing beta" and that will help a little bit. also when you do a restore from iTunes, don't restore your backup right away, see how it performs fresh, and then add your apps back in one at a time you might have to sacrifice photos and other personal things for performance. -

I uploaded the images to the internet and then image sourced them into the code so that they will be viewed properly in the correct circumstances. I haven't used HTML since about 2004 and I wasn't very good then. I've just been thrown back into it and I'm pretty much learning as I go. This is my second attempt because I wanted to make the newsletter more eye-catching. My first one is very basic and without a background image at all and that looks fine in pretty much all email clients. I tested it with Litmus. All except for Windows Live Mail, where the images didn't act as links but as static images. It works fine with the others I tested manually. Those being Gmail, Yahoo and AOL. I will try the display:block and get back to you. Thanks for your suggestions.

I have an iPad1 which I have reset and am preparing to give to a kid. I now find that I can't reinstall many apps as they now seem to require IOS 6 or greater. This is IOS 5 and can't be upgraded. Is there a way to find the older versions of the apps?

No response/action from apps when chooosing links or menu functions
After a few days of use, I find that trying to select links in web pages goes away. I also can't make menu selections in many apps. The only solution is to restart the computer and everything is fine again for several days, then the cycle repeats itself.
Create a new admin user account, log into it, and see if the problem persists. If not, report back. If so, download and reinstall the 10.5.4 COMBO update from http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/ repair permissions, and restart.

Thanks for the post. I'm not sure which model printer that you have but you should be able to print from your iPad 2 with the HP Home and Biz application. This is for wireless printers that are NOT web enabled. I've included a link below with some great information on how to get this resolved. Good Luck!

App store still linked to old Apple ID
Hi everyone -
I recently updated my apple id to a new email address and changed my password etc - this seems to have treated the new one as a completely new account - which is fine, but despite the fact that i have gone into settings on my iphone and made sure my app store is connected to the new (prefferred) ID, i have tried to update a couple of apps and it is asking me to sign in under the old apple id.
I have also had issues trying to add my card to the new apple ID - could this all be part of the same issue?
Can anyone advise?

Having the exact same issue. Also, on right click, many apps freeze/beachball and must force close. Additionally, uTorrent and Transmission are not operating correctly-uTorrent constantly beachballing and unresponsive. Right-click freezes with everything from Word to iMovie. Takes way too much time to do anything, and lots of cursor freezing, here is a sys log excerpt:

disk2s1 (disk2s1) <not mounted>: 209.7 MBI'm having the same issue - started a few months ago and had to forcibly shut down the Mac. That killed the hard drive, so I got a new hard drive and had the Apple Store install Lion on it, then used Migration Assistant to bring files over. iPad App Store app said "20 updates". Attempted to update w/3G. Updated some, but now many apps say "waiting" and are frozen. I attempted to update then by attaching to computer Itunes Store. All it did was very quickly go thru the 4 steps and said, "Synched, OK to uplug." I clicked my ipad and then apps. It also said Update complete (or something like that). Now several apps on iPad are frozen and say "Waiting". Help!!
Oh a few other things I forgot.
The long winded back-ups!!!! JESSSSSSH! Although I think the latest update seems to have bit into this a bit.
Also why is it that sometimes when the iPhone is syncing it will not say on the actual iPhone that it is syncing. I see it's syncing in iTunes but the iPhone doesn't have the typical do not disconnect -syncing message!!! What's odd is I can see the new apps being updated to the iPhone and as long as I don't open any apps it will finish it's sync but the minute I open any apps the iPhone will lock-up!!!

Run several scripts with one master script or an automator workflow?
I have several scripts that I need to run all at once... Could I make a script that would run all the other scripts, then bundle everything into an application( or something similar) so all my scripts would run with just a double click... Any ideas?
