Many interfaces through same ASMA flow. Possible?

I have 25 Idoc to File interfaces that each need an output filename based on payload - so I have used ASMA and a UDF on root for each of the interfaces, which also works.
The thing is now, that since the message attributes all comes from the IDOC EDI_DC40 segment, I want to optimize this approach, so all interfaces run through the same flow after their respective mapping and the UDF only needs to be maintained in this flow.
Is this at all possible?

The above indicates that you have one sender IDOC (interface) and creating 25 files......so you now intend to change the design approach and have a multimapping 1:25 ..... and now here you intend to use the Dynamic Configuration UDF.....if this is the idea the please make a note that Dynamic Configuration does not work for multimappings....you have to maintain separate flows if you intend to use dynamic config.

Every stream have 4-5 bandwidth variations, and lowest is for "inactive" thumb video state.

For example get local interface of a bean and than pass it as remote to client.
Both interfaces must operate on same bean instance.

yes. You can implement multiple interfaces on a single class, so you can add a local and a remote interface. One trick to avoid duplicate code is to simply make the remote interface extend the local interface; then you only have to add the @Remote annotation and you're done.
For example get local interface of a bean and than pass it as remote to client.You don't pass an instances to a client, a client looks up a remote instance of the bean through JNDI.

Problem running a FW 400 audio interface at same time as FW 800 drives

I recently installed snow leopard (10.6.2) on a macbook pro 2.4 core duo. I have a couple firewire 800 drives connected. I ran into problems when I hooked up my audio interface to the firewire 400 port. I have the same problem with 2 different audio interfaces - Presonus Firebox and M-Audio Firewire Solo. Basically they refuse to work unless i unplug the firewire 800 drives. I found this information on M-Audio's website:
"Computers that have both a FireWire 400 and a FireWire 800 port may be sharing the same FireWire bus internally. When using both, the 400 and the 800 port at the same time, you may experience problems like audio drop outs or loss of connection to the M-Audio FireWire interface. There's a variety of possible reasons for this including but not limited to bandwidth limitations, clocking issues (400/800) and bus master problems with the devices connected to both ports. M-Audio recommends using the M-Audio FireWire audio interface on the computers original FireWire port while adding a separate FireWire interface card (with a Texas Instruments chipset) to the system (PCI, PCIe, ExpressCard, or PCMCIA). Connect any third party FireWire 800 devices to the added FireWire interface card. If your computer does not have expansion slots for a separate FireWire interface card there are 2 possible alternatives: If your external hard drive has FW400 connectivity, you can daisy chain the hard drive to the 2nd FireWire port* (if available) on your M-Audio Device. If your external hard drive has USB 2.0 connectivity, you can connect the hard drive to a USB 2.0 port on the computer"
This is exactly my problem. The audio interfaces work fine when hooked up to FW 400 port as long as no FW 800 devices are connected. It appears that my only solution is to buy a secondary FW interface card. However, I would like to know if there is a fix on the Apple side of this.
(note: I did not have this issue on my G5 running OS 10.4x, which is what I was on before I switched to this new laptop setup - the laptop is a 2007)
Anyone else have this issue, or know about a fix for it from Apple?

Thanks for that info, but that is not the problem. Obviously the first thing I did was check the FW cables and connections and shut down my computer and rebooted. And like I said, the FW 800 drives work fine when no FW 400 device is connected, and the FW 400 audio interface works fine when no FW 800 devices are connected.
The problem is that when the FW 800 drives are connected AND the FW 400 audio interface is also connected on the same bus (as this is a laptop there is only one bus with both 400 and 800 ports). The drives still seem to work fine, but the audio interface does not work. It's connection lights flash and will not hold a connection or process sound (there is either no sound, or clicks and dropouts). The flashing lights indicated a failed clock sync. M-Audio is aware of this issue as is apparent from my quote on the original post, but the only work around seems to add a secondary FW bus via an adapter card.
This problems seems to be a MAC issue with FW 400 and 800 and the internal clock sync.

Access Connections - Many APs with same SSID (Again)

I have a W520 running Access Connections 6.11 (release December 2013) on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Access Connections is still broken in regards to dealing with multiple Access Ponts having the same SSID. It keeps hoping from one access point to another regardless of signal strength of the AP.
The most desirable strategy would be if Access Connections would find and lock on to the best signal strength AP and stay there. However, it doesn't do that. It acts almost randomly. It also keep shifting around. The rate is almost random as well. Sometimes it will stay locked on to an AP for up to 10 minutes, at other times it shifts in as little as 30 seconds.
Other laptops, from other manufacturers like HP, Toshiba, and Apple do NOT exhibit this behavior on our campus. Other Lenovo machines running Access Connections DO exhibit this behavior. The problem is NOT machine specific (ie, not hardware or some weird idiosyncracy of the particular W520 i'm posting about). The problem is Lenovo's Access Connections. The problem is also not a configuration issue with the campus. I have a network at home running Airport Extremes all having the same SSID's and the W520 in question does exactly the same behavior there. Totally different hardware at home vs campus and same behavior. I cannot change the names of the AP as a fix. This is not a capability in the configuration of the AP's. Even if it were, I shouldn't have to do it. Campuses are often configured in this way. Campuses that are large commercial users who I believe are the most lucrative Lenovo customers.
This problem has been going on for literally years with different versions of Access Connections. Here are two threads in the Lenovo Community I found in under 30 seconds. Neither was solved correctly. In other words, Lenovo never fixed the software, and people had to either give up or resort to kludge solutions in their campus configurations.

Lenovo has actually made the problem progressively worse over time instead of fixing it. They have done this by removing the abilty to prioritize AP's by MAC address. Initially, Lenovo allowed you to configure 5 MAC addresses in order. Then, Lenovo removed that capability making it possible to only give a single MAC address as preferred. Finally, in recent iterations, Lenovo removed that capability alltogether. The box is still there in the UI, but it's greyed out. It is very frustrating to have this kind of thing happen. The prioritize capability is fundamentally a kludge, but at least it's something to give a bit of a workaround. Now we don't even have that.
Can a lenovo engineer please look at this issue and give me a timeline for resolution?
BTW, It is still not possible to configure Access Connections with a blank SSID either. I bring this up, because if you're going to fix the Access Connections code for multiple SSID's, you should be aware of the blank SSID problem as well. I imagine they are both in the same part of the Access Connections codebase, at least from a logical standpoint.

I found that there is a setting in the Intel driver (15.9.1.2, released 8/22/2013) for the wireless card (Centrino Advanced-N 6205). The setting adjusts the "roaming aggressiveness". I can only guess this means how often the driver goes out and tries to find a "better" signal and/or bandwidth. The card supports a/b/g so the calculus is complex as to what constitutes "better", and I have no idea how sophisticated the algorithm the driver uses is.
That said, if I set the "aggressiveness" to the most aggressive setting, things work somewhat better. They are still not as a good as other wifi managers bundled with competing products (specifically HP, Toshiba, and Apple so far), but it helps. It does appear that more of the time now, the AP having the best signal appears to be the AP the laptop is attached to.
Lenovo, please consider that forcing your customers to dig around in arcane driver settings and relying on the whims of driver writers and hardware companies to do things correctly and well, is a recipe for failure. Your customers are just going to get annoyed and say to their colleagues, "My old Toshiba seemed to do a better job of WiFi connections. I think next time, I'm going to have IT get me one of those again." And, of course, that colleague will look a lot harder at buying the Toshiba instead of the Lenovo, as well. Wifi connectivity is a very big deal for people who have to move around - and lets not forget, this is a laptop we're talking about, which is explicitly designed to, well, be moved around.
I apologize for being so pedantic, but it often takes such measures to get managers in these companies who control programmer time, to take these issues seriously and allocate the programmer resources to fix these problems.
The problem I am having is still not considered "fixed." I would very much like to hear any other solutions that work better. I would love to hear from Lenovo on the matter. Still waiting.

SQL Server interfaces through Schduler Agent

I'm able to execute the SQL server interfaces through this using the listener agent.
I start the agent using
./agent.sh -port=20911
ANd the agent starts.
However when I try to start the scheduler agent using
./agentscheduler.sh -name="Test_Agent" -port=20911
it gives me error
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Login failed for user odimaster
Now if i remove the sql related things from the odiparams i.e remove these statements
ODI_SECU_DRIVER=com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
ODI_SECU_URL=jdbc:sqlserver://<hostno>:1433
After removing these statements,the scheduler agent works fine.
I want to start the scheduler agent for SQL SERVER interfaces as well.Please let me know if you have any pointers for the same.

Hi ,
ODI_SECU_DRIVER and ODI_SECU_URL is related to ODI master repository .
You can have single master repository only which in turn can have multiple work repository .
So odiparams.sh file can have only 1 entry for ODI_SECU_DRIVER and ODI_SECU_URL.
You define your source and target data server information in Topology which will be stored in ODI repository .
You don't have to specify the data server information in odiparams.sh .
Regarding "whereas with these statements in odiparams.sh,Im able to execute the SQL Server interfaces using an agent"
agent will not look into odiparams.sh file for repository parameters .. that is why it is working .
But agentscheduler looks for repository parameters in odiparams.sh .. and your odiparams.sh file is not correct .. that is why it is failing .

How many interfaces can i implement in one class??
I have 2 different events and i want the same class to be a listener for both events generated from one class.

Around 32,000 (although the class file has a 16 bit

I'm trying to modify the simple data client and the simple data server program in example in LabVIEW6i. How do I send a 2 dimension nummeric matrix? and also how do I send many numeric matrices at a time?

The problem here is that at the receiving end, one cannot know how many
bytes to read before unflattenning into the datatype.
A method that works for *any* datatype (and any data transfer mechanism):
Flatten the data to string.
Flatten again the string to string; this adds a string lenght (U32) header
to the string.
Send the string.
When receiving data, first read 4 bytes and convert to U32.
Read this number of bytes.
Typecast the string to the expected datatype.

Is the WF running from DAC or are you running standalone? If it already ran from DAC, then you can rerun directly but you may have to create a temporary parameter file. Also just make sure you drop/recreate any indexes..etc. Basically if you rerun WF standalone, you must manage any dependencies or tasks that DAC orchestrates.

Passing interface through rmi

I would like to know if its possible to pass an interface through RMI. I have currently 2 applications connected through RMI. In application A, we have the full running simulation, so is it possible to pass the whole running simulation over to application B through RMI such that whatever is happening on application A would be shown on application B dynamically.
If rmi cannot do this, what other alternatives do I have. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can do this.
You would not be passing an interface however, you would be passing object A. So make sure A is serialisable, as well as all the objects it is using.
The receiving VM will need the class files for the objects being used by A, so you have two options:
The classes can be in the static classpath of VM B.
The classes can by dynamically loaded from a file server, as needed.
The first option is simplest, the second is the most flexible.
One more thing; when you send the simulation A to VM B, you have performed an object 'pass-by-value' which normally does not happen in Java. Therefore, A will be running in VM B, but you will also have your original version, still running in VM A.

Multiple HTTP requests through same connection

I am writing an application which connect to its server through HTTP protocol and the server is basicaly a bunch of servlets hosted somewhere (Right not it in the tomcat running in my PC)
I know that with Connection Keep-Alive header you can keep the connection alive and do multiple requests from the same server.
Can some one point me to where can I find some sample code which shows how to send multiple requests through same URL conection or URL object. What i cant figure out is how to reset the URL connection or its streams a and make them send anotehr request message to the serverso server can respond.
Or do I have to do this manualy (using sockets)

You SHOULD be able to do a HttpUrlConnection method. However, I have hand-coded HTTP server and client apps and the keep-alive is rarely enabled in servers.
This is due to better handling of millions of unique hosts requesting, unlike a network os, which is made the other way around.

No idea what this folder is. Sounds like it is something you created & named.
