Many logic plugins failing validation

I am running logic 9.1.7 on osx 10.6.8
many logic plugins failing validation including those that worked before. Also I find those same plugins are working fine in ableton live. I just installed updates for many native instruments plugins and installed spectrasonics omnisphere.
now all my native instrument, waves, and spectrosonics plugins crash during the validation phase. Also uhe plugins like zebraCM crash.
I go into the Audio Units manager and select one of the native instrument plugins that works fine in ableton live and it crashes upon validation. what is the best way to troubleshoot this problem?

Hi,
First you should(if you can) change your title. "Logic plugins" don't need validation. They're part of the program. Second, you should trace where your problems began. Ableton might be using the VST versions of all your plugins, that's why they're working fine in Live. Logic uses the AU versions of those plugins.
If your problems began when you updated the plugins, i doubt that all those companies' AU updates are bogus. So, it looks to me like you either have a problem at the core of your OSX installation, or(without accusing you of anything) the "place" where you got your updates didn't do a good job at cracking the AU versions. Good luck.
P.S. An easy way of checking if it's Logic or OSX would be to load these plugins in GarageBand. If they load up fine in GB, you have a problem at the Logic app level...

Amplitube 2 "Failed Validation" HELP

Hello all. I just received my knew Amplitube 2 software today, installed it just fine, but when I opened Logic Pro 8 up Amplitube 2 failed validation in the Audio Units manager. I had this happen to me before with ik multimedia's Ampeg SVX, but I still could find and use it within Logic. Not the case now with Amplitube 2. When SVX was installed on my G5 I never got a failed validation, but now in my iMac it happens every time. The big problem is I can't find or open the Amplitube 2 so therefore I can't register the darn thing.....this *****!! HELP PLEASE....HELP PLEASE! Thank you.

I just had a similar thing happen with another IK Multimedia product. It turns out the AU was not Universal Binary, so I had to download a newer version so I could register.
First, you can go to http://www.ikmultimedia.com/registration. That's the URL on your registration card. Enter your software serial number along with the rest of the stuff, but leave the Digital ID field blank, as per the form's instructions ( +"If you choose Option 1, leave this field blank, complete all the other required fields, and click 'Submit'"+ ). Your software will then be registered, allowing you to access the download area where you'll find the latest version. Now, you should be able to run the standalone AmpliTube 2 application and go through the authorization process.
That said, however, the AmpliTube 2 plugin still does not work in Logic for me. I have to use it through AmpliTube X-Gear, which came with my Total Guitar & Bass bundle. Since AmpliTube X-Gear runs all my IK guitar plugins (AmpliTube 2, SVX, Jimi Hendrix, etc.) through a single interface, I never bothered (or had the need) to have AmpliTube 2 pass validation.
In summary, you can register your software using the above steps, then try validating it through Logic. If it doesn't work, you can at least contact their tech support as a registered user. Otherwise, get AmpliTube X-Gear...

Why do Apple's audio units fail validation in Yosemite
Anyone else having this problem ?
What's the fix ?
Even Logic Pro X 10.0.7 can't validate Apple's AU plugs.
[Rant: i have never been so disappointed with a Mac OS as i am with YO. Most of my midi/audio/video programs will not work because of the validation of AU/VST plugs. I am this close to trashing Yosemite . It reminds me of my OS 9 days: if you even looked in the wrong direction the system stop working.]

XSL Mapper JDeveloper plugin fails to launch from App Engine

XSL Mapper JDeveloper plugin fails to launch from App Engine ONLY WHEN THE TARGET LOCATION OF THE SERVICE CONFIGURATION POINTS TO AN HTTPS URL.
If I make the target location field of the service configuration point to an HTTP url, the plugin launches fine.
The error message indicates that there is a missing certificate in the chain:
oracle.tip.tools.ide.common.xsdgrammar.SchemaGrammarException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found
A basic google search on this error leads me to believe that I need to add a key to the java clients keystore on my PC. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Has anyone else encountered this?

After digging pretty hard I believe I've found the cause and two possible solutions...and I quote...

The other solution is to upgrade equipment, or re-install OS and other Apps to go backwards.

Too many http plugin sessions seen in SM04

Hi,
There are too many http plugin sessions created in SM04 in production system for a custom transaction.
The client claims that such multiple sessions are there only for this particular transaction so there is some problem in abap code of this z-transaction.
Could you please help, what abap syntax or logic might lead to creation of such multiple http plugin sessions for the transaction.
The only known reason is that incomplete log off by user (closing the browser w/o loggin off etc) which created sombie sessions - but this is not applicable here because there are about 30 sessions created and user certainly does not log off so many times. Other activity by user is browser refresh etc but that canot be applied to only this particular transaction.

We are having a same problem but SAP asked us to recreate it. It is completely random and happens very rarely. If I would know how to recreate it I would probably solve it myself

XSLT sender plugin fails to set JMS message properties

When creating a JMS message to be put on a JMS queue, one of the XSLT for the XSLT automation plugin fails to set JMS string properties like: wlsmimehdrContent_Type
The content on the xslt are listed below.
The xslt in CPRLookupRequest.xslt sets:
wlsmimehdrContent_Type
SERVICE_SUFFIX
OSM_EVENT_TYPE
as expected, but the almost similar plugin NABSCreditEvalPluginRequest.xsl fails to set the same string JMS properties.
I'm looking for a clue, because I'm clueless. I'm an XSLT newbie, so it might be something simple.

I have a package which has 10 sequence containers. Have 10 Flat File Source files and all is working perfect on BI Debug mode. When I deploy this package to server I am getting the following error.
I have changed the property Retain the same connection = True but same problem. I have changed the data flow task to Load Project instead of Load Into Project but in error message it is still showing the old name. I have tried to remove the whole step i.e.
Removed Load into Project Data flow with sequence container but I am getting the same error message.
I am not able to understand the reason. Any Idea why am I getting the same error message even I do not have the Data Flow named Load Into Package. It is in SSIS 2008 and being deployed on SQL 2012 server.

According to the error message(hightlight above), it seems it's a mapping issue that Naarasimha point out in the post above. Please check this carefully.
An OLE DB destination includes mappings between input columns and columns in the destination data source. You do not have to map input columns to all destination columns, but depending on the properties of the destination columns, errors can occur if
no input columns are mapped to the destination columns.

In your post, you said that it is in SSIS 2008 and being deployed on SQL 2012 server. Do you mean that you create the package deployment utility by using SSIS 2008, and then implement SSIS deployment in SSIS 2012 environment? If so, you need to

How many logic boards needed ?!!

Yes. How many logic boards does a Powerbook G4 17" (1Ghz) need to work properly? Do they really have to be changed every year?
I bought this beautiful machine secondhand. About 6 months later the screen seems to fail (stays black) i can us it only in Target mode as hard disk. The consulted Repair centre concludes: new logic board! Then they discover it already had been changed 26/07/2004 ; merely a year ago. But no more garanty. It isn't fair that such a expensive part and repair is only garanteed foor 3 months. Cost of this reparation: more than 700 euros !!!!! Apple customer care: "sorry, we can't do anything to help you" Who can then?
Time to switch I suppose? What else can I do ??

Sorry to hear that - not sure if you have any recourse based on the fact that it has already been replaced. If you have an up to date AppleCare contract then I would think it should be covered. In general I would say that your problem is somewhat rare. If main board failures every 6 months were common across the entire product line - or even just a subset such as the 17" - then there woudl have been a class action lawsuit resulting in a settlment that woudl provide extended warranty coverage.

Failed validation as a level hierarchy

Hi,
I have dimension called SKU in my analytic workspace with a hierarchy PRODUCTS defined as ALLPRODUCTS<--MD<--MG<--PG<--STYLE<--PRODUCT. I have used composite keys as Members to maintain uniqueness. For example the member expression for PG is CUBE_DEV.DIMSKU.MDID || CUBE_DEV.DIMSKU.MGID || CUBE_DEV.DIMSKU.PGID. I'm not using Surrogate keys. When I hit the maintain Dimension SKU, LOAD NO SYNCH succeeds but the compile step fails with error
"INI: error creating a definition manager, Generic at TxsOqConnection::generic<BuildProcess>INI: XOQ-01712: "SKU.PRODUCTS" failed validation as a level hierarchy., Generic at TxsOqStdFormCommand::execute"
I looked at the rejected records and every record has the error "(XSRWLD13) Cannot change the level of a dimension member within a single load." Can anyone help me resolving this issue ?
I'm using AWM 11.2.0.1.0 on Oracle 11g R2 server.

I looked at the data and found out that there were NULLs in many key columns. I updated all of them to the value 'Unknown'. Also I re-implemented Composite keys because I thought Type 2 dimension would pose problem in determining uniqueness. Now there are no errors and I could successfully load data into the dimension.

Behance plugin fails to publish to WIP in Lightroom 5.6. Returns following error: "Failed to upload a WIP update to Behance: Invalid permissions or request type". (I also saw this question asked in the Deutsche forums in Jan 2014 with no answers)
In Behance settings Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has permission to:

may act on your behalf to comment, follow users, view and appreciate projects
Allows access to read network activity feed
Able to read collections you have marked as private
Ability to create, manipulate and delete your collections.

Behance Plugin for LR not Authorizing in LR 5.6

Plugins fail to operate

I have been pulling my hair out for a few days now reading these and many other forums in my attempt to repair my ailing Safari browser. I have not yet seen anything that has helped me fix it.
Here's the problem, any site that uses a plugin fails to load the item that the plugin is needed for whether it is a flash item, Quicktime, Windows Media, mp3, etc. I first noticed it when attempting to load homestarrunner.com and got only a black screen. I then went to google video to try it there, then some friends linked me to some mp3s and they all failed without giving me an error. It was almost like there was just nothing there. If it is an item that would normally load iTunes or Quicktime nothing happens. For flash it just ignores that section of a page.
-Notes to clear up any murky details I may have left out.
I have installed the 10.4.6 Combo for PPC just a moment ago and my Software Update has been pulling down every update for my machine and installing them all. Safari has been acting up for possibly as long as a week but I was not sure that there was anything wrong with it until just a couple days ago. I have not noticed any issues with any other software on my machine, nor have I installed anything recently.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I did everything under the sun except for checking the preferences. Apparently it unchecked itself? Maybe, I dunno. But for whatever reason I assumed a major problem but could have saved myself all this wasted time by just troubleshooting properly. Next time I do something this stupid I will make sure to start with step one of troubleshooting.

Is there any predefind number of columns for RPD creation??

There's no limit that I'm aware of or which is mentioned anywhere. Just as an example: I have a logical fact table with around 750 logical columns (>500 original measures & 250 derived measures). No issue whatsoever. Opening the presentation table through answers takes about 2-3 seconds (the NQSQL command has a lot to retrieve), but that's about it.

Dimension 'Years' failed validation

Hi All,
I am getting this error while deploying the application.
Error : Dimension 'Years' failed validation 'YearMembersSequential' for the following reason(s): Year members must be sequential.
I am seeing my Year dimension is sequential only.
I am not able to figure out the reason for this error . Can anyone please help me understand this.

Not to open a new thread as I have an issue with dimension Year as well, I will post my problem here (hope the author won't mind).
I created a simple EPMA application in version 11.1.2.2 with all mandatory and 2 generic dimensions. One of mandatory dimension is, of course, Year (dimension type: Year) with following members: FY11, FY12, FY13. Initial deployment against both, Planning and Essbase went well. After that I wanted to extend dimension Year for member FY14 and to redeploy the application. Validation was successful, but deployment message was "Completed/With Errors" (100%). Deployment was done with selecting "Refresh outline" and "Full deploy". In deployment log file I have the following entry:
"Consolidation operators for years must be set to Ignore for all plan types."
"Rejecting Member FY14."
This message is clear enough, but the problem is that members that belong to dimension type Year don't even have consolidation operators in properties area.
What else comes to my mind is that (maybe) with version 11.1.2.2 it is not allowed to add new members for dimension Year once application is deployed for the very first time. But in that case, the above error message is quite misleading. Under version 11.1.1.3 it is possible to add new members to dimension Year and to redeploy it without errors.
Is this a bug or a feature?
Has anyone had such problem?

Installation of Moonlight plugin fail on Firefox 6.0.2 because it is not compatible. When it will be compatible?

I tried to install Moonlight plugin version 3.9.9 (4 preview) on the latest version of Firefox. Error message is: "Novell Moonlight could not be installed because it is not compatible with with Firefox 6.0.2".
There isn't any versions of Moonlight that can be installed on Firefox 6.0.2.
Moonlight plugin worked very well with previous versions of Firefex.
Is it correct?
When Firefox 6.0.2 will become compatible with Moonlight plugin (or vice-versa)?

How many logical systems are required to connect between one XI and R3 sytm

Hi Experts,
I need to know how many Logical systems we need to create when connecting an SAP XI and SAP R3 system.
details wht I configured is as follows :
For XI : LOGSYSXI assigned to 100 client
For R3: LOGSYSR3 assigned to 800 client.
Do I need to create two log'cal systems on one side?
How many logical systems can a Client can support simultaneously? is it only one or more that one?
