Many Questions; Main: How to update to Mavericks in 2015?
Hello everyone!
I'm currently trying to install Wine on my Mac so I can run some old Windows games without having to install Windows. It proves more difficult than I imagined though...
They want me to install a program called "Xcode" from the App-store, but I run a MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.5, and the program says I have to run at least 10.9 to download it - so basically I have to update to Mavericks. I never did so because my father told me not to, and he did so too with the newest update Yosemite. And after reading all the reviews to it - yeah, i still want to be able to log into my wifi thank you very much. So i'm trying to find out how to update to Mavericks in 2015 - so far I didn't find anything Does anyone here have an idea? Or maybe can propose an alternative to Xcode?

I just found someone who had a similar question (it didn't pop-up when i searched for it) and the answer seems to be: suck it, no mavericks for you.
I don't know how to delete this post though, so just see it as closed…

I am new to XML concept. I have a requirement to create a xml schema which will be updated on a weekly basis and a table which associated to the created xml schema.. when ever the Schema is updated the table should not get affected.. Is there a way to solve my problem.. Kindly help me.

IS-RETAIL: How to update custom enhancement field using BAPI?
Hi gurus,
Like ECC BAPI: BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA,
This BAPI(BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT) is specific for IS-RETAIL to create and update material master data.
But now If I append one custom field "ZFIELD" to end of table MARA, my question is how to update this custom enhancement field(ZFIELD) using BAPI(BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT)

I suggest you create your own BAPI. Just copy the codes in BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT and add your custom fields. If you want to append the data of the custom field in table MARA, first, you have to create a structure table then goto SE11, type MARA and display. Click the APPEND STRUCTURE then choose the structure that you've created. Hope this will help.

2) EMPLOYEE_TYP
3) ADDRESS_TYP
ADDRESS_TYP is a collection and it is nested inside EMPLOYEE_TYP.

(When i was trying to update address_tab nested table's row with xml input file. it is deleting other existing rows)

How to update 2 fields automatically rest manually on page
Hello folks,
I have got a question on how to update 2 fields in a table automatically (in my case this is one field for the user and one field for the correct date and time). This should happen automatically every time an user changes a row in the table. But it seems as if i cant change the fields i tried it with the changing of the textfield but he dont change the values in the database. I even tried a separate update statement but since this is set after the commitchanges() command it seems as if he ignores any following commands.
So anybody a good idea how i can change easily these two data fields? I just cant believe that you must manually change the fields, thats not the use of these 2 fields.

AcinonyxTo be exact i have got a page with different fields which get their data from my database. Two fields which contain an userid and the other a date and time value should get updated automatically when the user changes something of the other values on this page and press a button which calls the commitchange method. But since this should happen automatically and not manually i cant put these changes in the database. The manual changes are saved without any problems but the automatical changes not. So my question is how can i change a value programmatically and make him save these canges in the database?
I already tried to put the new values in the fields or even detailed in the database but i cant get him to update these two fields.

How to update firmware for HP Compaq DC small form factor
I have HP Compaq dc7700 small form factor, Windows xp pro. It was bought on ebay and works fine except for one thing. The Bios was upgraded but the firmware is not upgrading. the Bios was upgraded to V3.05 but the firmware remains 2.04
I downloaded al the updates and firmware and followed instructions but I seem to have problems updating the firmware. I would like to know how to do this step by step because the instructions I read seems to be missing some steps. my question is how to update the firmware. I did read the instructions but could not get it updated. either updating via windows or in dos, I can't seem to make it successful. There are two error messages,
1. ME BIOS Extension module has halted. Update BIOS or Management Engine firmware if problem persists.
2. Amt mamagement engine is disabled.HP normally uses the term BIOS to refer to motherboard/CPU "firmware" updates and Firmware to refer to other device "firmware" updates... Below is a list of the two classes of firmware;

After updating to mavericks I have to constantly enter my apple ID for mail, iBooks, iTunes and many other applications that used to be part of my keychain. How can I get my apple ID log-in to work again?
Several times I've re-entered my passwords under Preferences/Internet Accounts/iCloud and it won't save since I've installed Mavericks. Also, the iCloud icon in the left column in Preferences/Internet Accounts/iCloud is greyed out but allows me to click on it to set-up. When I click on iCloud the password is filled out but the "Enable this account" check-box is not checked. I check it, and all seems correct. The icon is no longer grey, the password is correct, the "activate this account" check-box is checked. Then, when I launch mail, notes etc. I'm still prompted to re-enter my apple ID. The log-in loop continues. For years my keychain has worked perfectly. What has changed in Mavericks?

Recently I updated to Maverick -- I also updated Numbers, Pages and Keynote. NOW, I cannot open my pages documents. I get a message that I need a newer version of Pages. I have the newest version (5.2). How do I get around this to view my documents?
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

All apps are tied to the apple id that it was used to purchase or download the app.
did you use a different id to buy the app?

I found the solution to a Mavericks bug on the Mail program. How can I share it? Several of my mail boxes stopped functioning properly when I updated to Mavericks. The title of the mails stored in the mailbox appear, but the content was unavailable.
After 4 long hours at the phone with the Apple staff unable to help me, I discovered that if I change the name of the mailbox, the contents of the mails stored there become available.
