Many radio stations useless on BT Vision

Many of the radio stations available via freeview are stuttery on BT Vision.
TalkSport is one of them, SMOOTH also suffers from this problem.
What is strange is that you can record the station, and when you play it back, there is no stutter.
WOULD A BT MODERATOR PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS!.

ITunes no longer connects to many of the radio stations that it used to

I recently patched the new upgrade version of iTunes. I decided to wait this long so they could work out some of the bugs first. Apparently it still has some. And this post applys to both the Mac and Windows versions.
I used to enjoy listening to the di.fm Chillout station in the Ambient section of iTunes. After I patch this new upgraded version of iTunes it will no longer connect to the station. This by no means is hindering me from listening to my station, but it is taking away the convenience of doing it all through iTunes. The new version also cut off many other radio stations as well (unable to connect).
Andbody have a clue if Apple is ever going to fix this?

Some things to try:
• try connecting via ethernet
• turn Airport off and then back on, or go to System Preferences -> Network and select Renew DHCP Lease
• from System Preferences, create a new network location
• turn the router and/ or modem off, wait 15 seconds, turn them back on again
• zap the PRAM:

• check and possibly adjust the security settings on the router

Same thing here. Always listened to 96.9 The Eagle but not anymore. Skipped to the next station down.

Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
1. In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
2. Export the playlist (as .m3u works well). Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
3. In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
4. Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
5. For "alarm" select Open File.
6. Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open. It will probably be some default entry (like iCal). Click on it will allow you to select "other." Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time. You don't need to keep iCal running. If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do. Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button. Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

After update an internet radio station no longer works.

After iTunes 12.1 update an internet radio station no longer works. Prior iTune internet radio station works fine.

I now believe the problem with IE9 was not related to HP, but to a Windows Update replacement to the “Intel Corporation - Display - Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family” drivers: Intel Corporation Display software update released in February, 2011 (useless link http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=20411791). IE9 started working OK when I set “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering*” (see http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1678709 with reference to “faulting module igdumdx32.dll”), so will now investigate removing that update.
Sorry to have cast aspersions on HP. MS did this to themselves, as usual.

Radio stations using flip4mac not playing after upgrading to Lion

I used to listen to radio station-streaming which used flip4mac. Everything worked fine until I upgraded to Lion. I have searched around in different fora and I realized that there are many reports about similar problems. Has anyone heard of a solution/fix to that??

Thank you! For whatever reason, resetting the PRAM did work and solved the problem as now my iMac goes to sleep properly. Sorry for the delay in responding, but I wanted to test it for 2 days to make sure.

Renaming radio station: name keeps changing back

If I select a radio station, right click "get info" and change the name on the second tab, the name of the radio station successfully changes. However, much to my annoyance, when I double-click the station, the name changes back to the name broadcasted.
Can I prevent this behavior?

Well, dunno. I heard so many people say they like itunes so I decided to try it. In other words, I never tried V6 I just downloaded the newest version.
Since this is not the only issue I've experienced with itunes thus far, I think I will de-install, go back to winamp or whatever and stay away from apple apps for just a little while longer again.

How to save the radio station you just listened as a playlist?

Make a save radio station button.. to listen them as a playlist later.

Please!! One of, if not the, main reason I got Premium is to be able to use this on my phone in offline mode. I love the Offline feature of spotify, but is limited to playlists. Usually I end up adding a public playlist of the genre I'm interested in, but can be tedious and oftentime will have too few or too many songs for me to sync with my phone to listen while I'm out and about and not use up my phone's data plan.
If a random sample of music from a station could be added as a playlist, this would make Spotify about perfect for me. Say being able to choose 10, 25, 50, 100, 300 songs, or something like that. An option to randomize again when syncing would be great too, so I could do that over wifi. Also, I have a Roku attached to my TV/Sound System, and it only supports playlists and not radio, so this is another reason, although both would be great :)
I love where you guys are heading! I use you on my iPhone, Android tablet, PC, and Roku. Haven't touched Pandora in at least 6 months...why bother?

I want to eliminate all the radio stations that come with iTunes by default. The cause is that all the stations are americans and they dont have any interest for me.

You can turn off the radio in iTunes prefs > General.

There are many applications for interent radio stations.
Also, if the station website has a link to listen, you can add it to iTunes and put it into a playlist.

Listening to streaming/online radio stations?

Hi there!
Is anyone here who manages to listen to MP3 streaming radio stations? shoutcast.com requires flash, so it does not work with my slide 3600.... The *.pls playlists from mobtuner.com are not recognized by my phone, though the 3600 slide could play streaming MP3 it does not recoginze *.pls files. I can only shake my head when i look at this....
So, who of you listens to such stations and what Nokia do you use?

i found the easiest is to use Internet Radio in the radio applications within Series60 phones. again, Nokia seem to be putting the top-notch features in Series60 phones rather than Series40, in order to differentiate the phone ranges. It seems that you are indeed searching for many features not available in Series40 but are standard on Series60. Actually, it might not be a bad idea for you to buy a N-series or other Series60 device, maybe one that has been on the market for a while and isn't that expensive, in order for you to satisfy your mulitmedia cravings. I have a N78 and i think now its price point is getting quite cheap, so maybe you can pick up something similar for a bargain

Extremely annoyin music or radio stations being recieved

For about 2 months now I have been receiving unsolicited radio broadcasts on my T430 out of the blue. I thought it may be some EMI issues, but then I disconnected everything and it still does it. These are legitimate radio broadcasts that just pop in and out. I have recorded a number . Many appear to be BBC newscasts... Perhaps PBS stations? Anyway, I don't even have a browser up when it happens. It is very clear not the typical buzz filled anomalies you might here with EMI. Does anyone have a solution?

No close antenna towers. No other devices (and i have quite a few) are receiving this. Next time it happens i will try and pull the plug to see if that stops it. The play sounds just like i tuned into it. I can even control the volume. Its a well produced radio station like the BBC or NPR . I have been hoping to get the call signs, but at times its actually multiple stations. And sometimes it repeats over and over. I have actually recorded about 20 times.
Its really annoying! and sometimes very creepy!

ITunes radio station is not available after two or three songs played

Why after create an station in itunes radio, after two or three songs played the messages is "station is not available"

First of all very disappointed in apple cust service for the price of there equipment should be more available created a station for the Reggie vision band plays 2 songs and then says station not available . everytime I have to delete the station reinstall the station 2 get 2 more songs ???? is anyone else having these sorts of problems ?? Hi, i am a developer like most of you, and i work with a
great team in San Diego
for a radio station, that streams over the internet... we had
great trouble deciding our platform

It should be quite simple to develop such kind of application - it would require bit of server-side coding - nothing but creating server-side playlist which you need to play around. I don't have application read to use - but i'll see if i can find if i have anyone which i or my teammate might have developed.

App for recording internet radio stations?

Hi, have looked in the app store for an app that will enable me to record internet radio stations that I am listening to.
I have seen there are plenty of recorders that will record voice etc through the iphone mic but I really want to record what I am hearing such as internet radio.
Will any of the current apps do this? If so which ones & which are stable etc?

there is no way you could have an app that plays internet radio and have an app that records the internet radio...i dont know if an app exists but even if it did, you couldnt run 2 apps at the same time, so obviously you cant record
