Many sites require Adobe Flash 11.1, but emac doesn't support any version beyond 10.3. What do I do to get Flash 11.1 installed?

Many web sites now require Adobe Flash 11.1. When I try to install it, nothing happens. Apple says Tiger and Leopard support only Adobe 10.3. What am I supposed to do to get Adobe 11.1 installed?

Hi Debra,
Yes it's true, the last supported Fash fo PPC Macs is 10..1.102.64, but...

  • Can't open sites requiring Adobe Flash but Adobe finder says installed

Adobe finder says I have latest version installed I have un-installed several times and always get the same results I followed procedures suggested under help "how do I install- - " and I get to the pop up that is showing in #5 I check "i agree" exit the browser and chose install the SAME pop up runs and then says "done" I do not have any icon nor is it showing in my computer program list nor will any program requiring Adobe Flash work

Please do the following. Download both the Flash uninstaller and installer from these links:

* [http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe uninstall_flash_player.exe]

* [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe install_flash_player.exe]
''See screenshot for an example of what these files look like''.
Next:

#Close Firefox and then run the uninstall_flash_player.exe file to remove Flash from your system.

#Reboot to remove it from the Windows Registry. This step is important, so don't skip it please.

#When the machine boots back to the desktop, run the install_flash_player.exe file, but '''do not open Firefox'''.

#Providing the installation completes successfully, start Firefox and go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ You should be able to see the Flash animation which confirms it's been installed properly.
If the problem persists, it might be due to malware. To eliminate that as the culprit, please download the free version of Malwarebytes from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free and run a full system scan.

  • Many downloads require adobe flash player, apple does not support. What options do I have?

Does Apple have an alternative program to run to support Adobe Flash Player? There are many times I want to download or view something but I can't because Apple does not accept Adobe.

Apple does accept Adobe Flash (I have it on my Mac), but it does not exist for iOS devices.
Read this for the story: Thoughts on Flash
There are a few apps on the AppStore that allow you to view some Flash video content, although the results are variable.

  • How can i upload pictures to a site that requires adobe flash player

Adobe Flash Player will not run on iPads or iPhones, BUT it will run on iMacs, so go ahead and download and install it from the Adobe website.
    Hope this helps

  • I am trying to use sites on the internet which require Adobe Flash Player, but when I click on the free download, it says that Apple does not support this application, so I cannot use it. This stops me viewing quite a few interesting things. Any ideas?

I am trying to use sites on the internet which require Adobe Flash Player, and when I click for a free download it says that "it is not available for your device because of restrictions that Apple has put in place". Any suggestions on how to overcome this?

Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app).

  • How to view sites that require adobe flash

Here's one to get you all laughing at the rookie. Considering switching from my pcs to macs and was just wondering if there are ways to view sites that require adobe flash, I've heard that you can't as well as you can, but the downloads are really bad. Just looking for a solid answer. This being one of the many thoughts/apprehensions I have about switching to a whole new computer world. Thanks for the help, Mike

Thank you both for the input, have to admit its a little daunting, thinking about changing from one os to another. But from what I've read and heard its really not that much of a hassle. Thanks again for the quick response' Mike

  • How do i open sites that require adobe flash? I can't open my own website, not to mention tons of other sites. It's ridiculous.

Flash is not supported on the iPad and never has been supported on any iOS device - and as Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and they have recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.

  • How can I see content on web sites that require adobe flash player?

We installed a web tv from our clinic but it requires adobe flash player, how can I see this stuff?

Despite what has been said, there is no Flash player for iOS devices.
    http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/
There are some browsers like Skyfire that can play some Flash content, but performance varies so try different apps to see if any can display the sites you go to...but don't expect greatness.

  • I download adobe flash player for my macbook pro, but nothing that requires adobe flash player works

i download adobe flash player for my macbook pro, but nothing that requires adobe flash player works. i haven"t tried much, but only because i have no idea what to do.

After you've installed Flash Player (you have to mount the disk image by double-clicking and the double-click the insatller package) restart your browser and go to youTube, for example, -> http://www.youtube.com/ - and see if the videos play.
Call back if you need any further help.

The DVD will run fine and then there will be a break (5-10 seconds) in the audio but not the video. When the audio comes back on the presentors movement of the curson will be frozen. Have I disabled something on the one computers but not the other to cause this problem?

Just to check, in the directory /Library/Internet Plug-Ins do you see the file Flash Player.plugin?
And after reading your last post I have to ask, did you install the plugin after you downloaded it? Of course anwering my first question will answer this question.

  • A Website I use requires adobe flash plug in but iPad does not support this, canyou provide a solution?

A website I use requires adobe Flash plug-in. In trying to download this it states It is not supported by the device. Can you please suggest a solution?

Use different hardware that supports Flash instead of the iPad that doesn't.

  • E4200v2 cannot access IPv6 Internet or sites using adobe flash player

I just upgraded my old WRT54G to a E4200v2 with firmware 2.0.36.126507. I installed it using the Cisco Connect CD. At first it seemed OK, but then I noted that I cannot open (or takes forever) many websites, in particular those requiring Adobe Flash Player to view. In addition, it appears that access IPv6 Internet or sites is impossible, even though IPv6 is enabled in the GUI. Is there anything I am missing in the configuration/set up of the router?

The connection to IPv6 is set to AUTOMATIC, but just now noticed address are just zeros...
    how does one correct this?
