Many to many relationship does not work on certain role played dimension

Hi,
I have a cube with role playing Account dimension, used once as “Account” and once as “Other Account” dimension.
I’ve added Trip dimension related to the account dimension by a bridge table AccountTrip
making a many to many relationship (many accounts can be in one trip and one account can go to many trips).
When I added the bridge measure group to the cube, I saw in the dimension usage tab that the relationship between the bridge and the Account dimension was done automatically.
I added the trip dimension with regular relationship to the bridge measure group and many to many relationship to the main fact table using the bridge group.
All compiled fine and gave correct results. Then I noticed that when slicing the fact table by the Other account dimension I get correct results,
but when I add the Trip dimension I get the results as if I was slicing by the Account dimension, not by the “Other account” dimension.
I checked the cube and noticed I did not set the relationship between the bridge to the “Other Account” dimension (role playing). I set it now (regular relationship, same as the account dimension), but still getting the same results.
Conclusion- when slicing by the new Trip (M2M) dimension and the “Other Account”
(role played) dimension I get the results of the “Account” dimension, not those of the “Other Account” dimension.
I checked the relationships of the “Other Account” dimension in the cube but it looks correctly set (to the external account of the main fact table and to account of the bridge table).
(Just to note I have two other bridges on the cube which are not related and don’t look like they need to be related, plus two other measure groups of the main fact table used for distinct count which are related appropriately).
What else should be done???

Flash Player 10 does not work on certain websites

Hi,
Just installed Falsh Player 10 onto my imac G5 (mac os x tiger 10.4.9, power g5). It works fine for you tube and plays certain flash content but, when accessing channel 4OD, E4 and ITV player it does play the videos. Also when i try to adjust the flash setings by 'ctrl click' it does not allow me to access any of the tabs or uncheck the options.
Am completely baffled as to why this is happenning especially when i have checked several times to see if the player is installed properly, which it is.
Be absolutely grateful if anyone can tell me what the problem is.
(have also checked my mozilla preferences and they don't seem to be relevant in solving the problem)

Some websites claim that they required Flash Player, when in fact they mean Shockwave Player. Try installing Shockwave Player, and see if this fixes the problem.
As for the Flash Player Settings; on Windows this can usually be cured by deleting the folders where these settings are stored. Unfortunately I don't know where that is on a Mac, but possibly you can find this information in http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html

Centre button does not work and Ipod wont play

Help please ! My IPOD seems to have just stopped working ! it will scroll using the buttons but wont actually allow me to select anything with the centre button. I have tried turning off and on which did not help and have just let the thing go totally flat and am now recharging to see if that will help, if not im stuck please help anyone ? is this regular is it terminal ?

hmmm.... weird. i tried the centre button again... and it still did not work. but when i pressed the centre button quickly about 5 times... that it is finally working again! weird!

"Set the Desktop Picture" command does not work in certain instances

I've decided to take a try at using automator. Anyways I've created a very simple workflow.
Get Specified Finder Items (points to an image file)
Set the Desktop Picture
Now this usually works when the desktop is set statically to a specified image. But when I set the desktop to change the picture periodically, the automator action fails to change the picture to the specified image, when executed.
Is this a bug? Is there any workaround for this?

Your workflow actually is changing the static desktop picture, it's merely failing to then switch off the "Change picture" feature.
The "Change picture" feature has a somewhat misleading name in that it's not actually changing your static desktop picture at all. Your static desktop picture remains in place as a new dynamic picture layer is continually drawn and redrawn directly on top of it.
I don't see any way of testing for or turning off the desktop slideshow automatically, short of writing a GUI AppleScript that opens System Preferences and clicks through to the relevant toggle setting. If you file feedback with Apple they might take a look at it.

Hello, i am using itunes 11.1.5 with a MAC and facing the following issue. When i play a playlist and decide to deselect the next tune in the list, itunes does not work as expected and play the tune !

for instance if i am playing tune #20 and i deselect #21, #21 will still be played. I need to deselect #21 before ITunes has started to play #20. this is a strange behaviour. I am using ITUNES as a DJ again after 2 years off and i don't remember it did behave like this before. Is there a bug with 11.1.5 ?

Flash Player Does Not Work After Installing on Windows XP

I had been playing a shockwave game for several days and had completed 19 of 35 levels. When I went to play it again, I received a message that I need to update to a newer flash player. I downloaded it successfully, but it does not work. There is no file size and I uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. I also changed the internet settings as suggested. I am also the administrator of and only user of this computer. I can also play the same game on another computer that has windows 7 and have no problems. I have completed 33 of 35 levels with no problems. The computer with XP has a 32 system.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had been playing a shockwave game for about a week . When I went to play it again, it stated that I need to upgrade to a newer adobe flash player. I have windows xp with a 32 system and explorer 8 browser. After installing the flash player, it has no file siz for the player.. After I installed it, the page says it had been installed. The game still says I need to upgrade the flash player. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, changed my internet settings as suggested, and it still does not work. I can play the same game on my other computer with windows 7 with no problems. It has a file size listed for the flash player. The computer that I am using now has windows 7 and a file size for the adobe flash player.
Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

My DVD does not work with certain DVDs. Do I need to get it replaced or is there some other problem.

Could it be that they're out-of-region DVDs? Which model MBP do you have (15" late 2011, for example) and which version of OS X are you running?

Has anyone been able to contact Adobe to learn why their Flash Player does not work on Mac OS 10.6.8, no matter how many updates you install? This seems like a big error by Adobe.

I have thee Mac computers with Mac OS 10.6.8, one of which is a Mac Pro. No matter how many updates I install from Adobe, their Flash Player does not work on any of these 3 computers. I don't know how to contact Adobe Systems about this problem, but I think it is their responsibility to make sure that their so-called "universal" software works proplerly on a relatively recent operating system like OS 10.6.8 that is still in widespread use. When you install the updates, nothing happens -- not even an error message. What is the point of a universal player that is not universal? It works fine on my MacBook Pro with OS 9 Mavericks, but it does not work at all -- indeed, has never worked -- on my 3 Macs with OS 10.6.8. Has anyone contacted Adobe Systems to find out why the Flash Player does not work with OS 10.6.8 and what they plan to do about it?

Where are you getting Flash from?
Get the appropriate dmg installer here and then run it.

If it still won't install, do these two things: First uninstall any Flash by going into the second level Hard Drive Library>Internet Plug-ins, and trash the Flash Player.plugin and flashplayer.xpt. Then boot into Safe Boot, Shift at the startup chime (give it much longer than a usual boot) and run the installer while booted in Safe Boot.

The only thing you can do is place the iPod in Recovery mode and restore via iTunes on a computer. It is a good security feature.

This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

Concluding something does not work because you fail at using it is not necessarily always justified.
The Quick Selection Tool certainly has limitations, but your post seems to be more about venting than trouble-shooting – otherwise you might have posted an image where you failed to get an expected result.

Peter Lindgren do you receive any specific error messages when you attempt to install Photoshop 7 or Photoshop Elements? What version of Photoshop Elements are you installing?
