Many trace log file in udump?

Hello,
when I turn on sql_trace:
SQL>alter system set sql_trace=true;
and I don't connect to it. But in udump folder've many trace log file.
I don't understand!
Help!

All technical errors (lack of space, quota exceeded, primary key violations, etc, etc) will automatically result in a trace file in the udump directory. Not reading those trace files, and just worrying about the amount of space they take, is not what you should do, you should address the issues diagnosed in those trace files.

  • Windows Server 2012r2 Failover Cluster Event Trace Log files

    Hi
The only documentation I can find regarding event trace log files (Diagnostic.etl.*) for Failover Clustering relate to Server 2008/2008r2, which state that the etl files should be in C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs.
I have been exploring a clustering lab for Server 2012r2 and cannot find these files in that folder.
Strangely the PS cmdlet Get-ClusterLog still works!
    Where are the etl files?
    TIA

    Hi,
Please check if the log is available in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\.
If not, you can use Get-ClusterLog with the Destination parameter to get the log file.
    Destination
Specifies the location to copy the cluster log(s) to. To copy to the current folder use "-Destination ." for this parameter.

HI, this is regarding data integrator 11.5.  I have a job that failed trying to run a data flow with the below error.  Its run perfectly fine plenty of times in the past.  It looks like it just couldn't open the trace log file that it had been writing to...  anyone know what would cause this?  No one would have been opening or modifying that file during the job except for the job itself.  I was just wondering if anyone has run into this before.  I am sure it will work if I just

  • How to trace log file of Lumira Agent

    Hi All,
I found Lumira Client log file in "C:\Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop\debug.log". It maintains all logs like registerResourcePath,Registering Datasource, etc.
But Lumira Agent not maintain any log for
how many new rows added in local data source or cloud data source?
any connection error for Lumira cloud?
    any Scheduler error for starting?
    refreshing start time?
    etc
Is it any tool or any file that maintain log?
    Thanks,
    Somnath A. Kadam

    Hi,
    1. an indicator of the # delta rows is not something that exists in the product yet. it would make a nice enhancement actually.
    2. Yes, the lumira desktop log file (as discussed in your other thread) would capture cloud login errors. but obviously, it is not possible for you to see the traces from the cloud infrastructure.
    3. the refresh timestamp would be maintained on the resulting scheduled document (information in the footer)
    4. Internally, we are asking for information about tracing the Agent - this is a very valid point.
I believe that these issues are also being tracked internally via your Support ticket? personally, i would recommend that you focus on that investigation with engineering.

  • How can I extract the data from a Real-time Execution Trace ".log" file?

I would like to get the data for the traces from the Real-time Execution Trace toolkit ".log" file to read in Excel and generate a report.

    Hi Chuck,
Have you tried reading it into a text or binary file first and then generating a report using the Report Generation VIs?

  • Internal delivery chnl, file doesn't get picked up, no trace log file gener

I have defined an internal File delivery channel as part of a trading agreement between host and remote partner (Custom doc over Internet - AS2), configuration including agreement has been deployed, but the file doesn't get picked up. I have made sure that the directory specified in the delivery channel does exist and all permissions are set up (Windows 2003 server).
A have specified directory for oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.transportTrace property in ip.properties, however no log file gets generated (restarted b2b).
I am sure it must be something basic I have overlooked, any ideas, folks?

    Thanks again,
There is an exception in the log file, I guess that explains why the file doesn't get picked up. Not very informative, though :

  • 903/Enterprise; log files grow boundlessly and weekly bounces are needed

This feed back is the result of an eval of 903 IAS
enterprise on Solaris, 2 box cluster.
    This feed back is FYI.
After installing IAS Enterprise 903 many times, testing
stop/start/reboot use cases I noticed that many internal
    log files grow boundlessly.
I've seen the notes on turning down log levels. This
is still far from adequate. Log files in a 24x365
architecture must be managable and have finite maximum disk
    space consumption sizes setable.
Framework error events also need to be hooked into an Enterprise
error and alert protocol. SNMP is not my favorite, but it's
a start. JMX is my favorite. Also check out the free
Big Brother monitor; www.bb4.com and it's wire protocol.
    Thanks and best of luck,
    Curt

Just curious whether other folks have any opinions on
OEM's suitability for a high rel. environment?
    On log file management?

  • ICM Trace Log best practices?

    Hello,
Partner is asking if we have best practice guidelines/documentation for setting Trace Log file sizes on ICM 7.2.X
    thanks!

Actually we did open a TAC. Cisco was not able to make a recommendation because the issue is intermittent and we cannot leave tracing on indefinitely. Because of this they instead recommended installing a packet sniffer. However our network support team came back with a similar response - cannot leave packet sniffing turned on indefinitely.
This is a difficult situation in which we cannot reproduce the issue, we don't know when it will happen again. And we cannot take any proactive action to ensure that we capture the logs on the next occurrence.
So, has anyone else been through something like this?
    Thanks!
    Joe

  • WebLogic Server crash and Stack Trace Log

    Hello? ^-^
    Current system details:
    SEQUENT Dynix/ptx v 4.4.7
    Classic VM (1.2.1, green threads)
    WebLogic 5.1
    Apache 1.3.20
Current System crashes down too often and web service can not be available.
Heres a stack trace of the process when it has locked up.
The entire stack trace log file is...
    http://members.tripod.lycos.co.kr/bach1685/dump.txt
Could it be possible to think this is the problem between JVM and OS library?
If this is a problem of OS, I think that Just changing OS could solve the problem.
How would I go about trying to figure out just where the problem is?
Thanks for readming my broken English...^^

Make sure you have a supported platform -
    http://www.weblogic.com/platforms/index.html
For JDK 1.2.1 - pay attention to what the platform page says about setting JVMARGS.

  • Prime 2.1 Inventory.log file

    Hello All
I am discovering devices in Prime 2.1 and I have got some "Unexpected error" messages. Prime asks me to check the inventroy.log file but I can not fint any information on ware or how to access this file. Does any one know how to?
    Many thanks
    MIke

From what Adir said, i would add. Usually this location will download many/all log file, which is quite time intensive, but is the correct GUI option to do so.
You can also follow these options via CLI (Telnet/SSH) to PI:
    > Open session via WinSCP client and browse to Log directory of server # /opt/CSCOlumos/logs and copy it to your PC.
    > Login to server via Telnet/SSH via client like Putty. Enter shell via root command. CD to log directory /opt/CSCOlumos/logs and you can do more/cat the log file and save session output for the required log file.
    -Thanks

  • Too many Archive Log

    Hi,
I have a problem on a production server: our support partner told me that we are creating too many Archive Log files. They are not sure at all of what is happening.
Please, do you know if there is any System View which we could obtain more information about Archive Logs usage?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Joan Padilla

    Hi Joan,
The sensible number of archive logs is determined by your backup and recovery strategy. You can delete them, once you have back-upped the database and the archivelogs. Further info in the Backup and Recovery Concepts manual.
You can find information on them in v$archived_log.
If you decide to delete them without having read the aforementioned manual, I will pray for you you don't suffer a hard disk crash.
You may want to review the relationship with your support partner too.
Their advice is not exactly professional.
