Map app for multiple routes?

Is there a map app that will let you save different legs of a journey?
Say we're touring, and there are multiple places we'd like to see that day. Is it possible to route out point A to B, then B to C, C to D, and so on? And also possible to store the info offline?
I've searched though a bunch of map apps and haven't seen anything that does this specifically.
TIA

I have the navigon app (just updated for multitasking) and it will save routes with multiple destinations. It's fairly expensive (about $50), but it seems to do a nice job especially with the iPhone connected to the car audio system. It will fade down the music, podcast, etc. and give voice directions. I've been using it instead if my stand-alone gps.

It has been quite a while since Apple came up with Map App of their own and should be releasing improved maps with more capabilities in India.
    Cheers!

No one here can answer your question, as there is no one from Apple here, & no one here represents Apple or speaks for Apple.

How to change "home" address on IPhone 5s map app for navigation purposes

OK I tried that.  I have two apps that need updating and it STILL shows the old Apple ID from the App store.  I even tried logging off iTunes and powering off the phone, then powering it back on and logging in.  Still shows the OLD Apple ID in the app store.  The correct one is showing in the Settings/iTunes.  Any other thoughts?

  • Best map app for mileage counter, maps and directions?

I'm traveling across country and I want to find a map app that not only shows routes, directions, etc. as maps does, but also can tell me the mileage between two cities, say Chicago and Baton Rouge? Anyone know of a good app for that?

Even though I have a beef on this board about it (map download times) you might want to check out the Motion X family of apps. I have the GPS HD that is for the iPad and it's a nice looking app, lots of features. It does have a measurement tool to get distances between two points, but it is "as the crow flies" and not over roads.
My app was only $2.99 so it's not a bad deal.

    Hi,

I obviously want purchase correctly the number of copies of the app I require and manage them going forward but the issue I have is that when I try to purchase an additional copy of the app it shows as already purchased and downloaded in my Itunes.

Use VPP.  Select an MDM.  Read the google doc below.

  • How can I create a folders of apps for multiple users?

I use several iPads with my students and would like to set up a folder for each student. I want to place "an alias" of each app the student uses in their folder. On my Mac, I can "make alias" and place aliases in seperate folders. How can I do that on my iPad? Thanks!

You can drag one app on top of another and make a folder. However the limit to this is, for your situation, there can be no sharing of apps....the app Fred can only be in one folder because it's only on the device once.  (so it may not work for what you need)
and I cannot recall if you can edit the name of the folder.
Unfortunately, for situations like yours, the iPad was created to be a single user device, so there's really not support for multiple users or multiple levels of access.

Keyboard dock is $80 USD fragile thing, but see several selling online, it now for $45 and going  lower,
See; 32 Gb micro SD is going up in price, must be all those A1 coming out and flooding. Kindle fire has no SD slot, the market hike has to be cause by Lenovo release.

What do you think they sold 45,000 A1, or did they cut the buying off lower, like 10,000 units. Be cool to know.
but guess you would have to be a stock owner to know
I do now I got a e-mail from Tom Tom to update maps, resonable price $59.99, ......for map update, that I all ready have.OWN; or 2.99 copilot live Android, you would have to unearth some secrects to get me to buy into some hall of records to Tom Tom, and long lasting sell me good.

  • Managing installed apps for multiple devices

Is there a way to create an "app playlist" in order to easily create a common set of installed apps across multiple devices?  I'm tired of having to install the same app on each of my kids devices.  Also, I don't want to enable auto install new apps because I don't necessarily want my kids to get apps that I'm installing on my devices.
    Thanks

The un-compatible updates will not install on the iPod.
Make sure that you retain a copy of the version that is compatible with iOS 4.2.1 since you can only redownload the latest version version from the App store.
I would backuyp the library to an external HD by:
iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
Note that when you update an app on the iPod and then sync, the update apps is also synced to the iTunes library.

  • Apps for multiple devices

I have a 2nd gen iPod Touch - so still iOS 4.2.1.  App updates all appear to only be compatible for iOS 4.3 & newer.  I'm fine with that on the iPod - but I also have an iPad 2 Model A1395 - would like to update the apps for that. If I download the updates, will they crash on the iPod?  Or just not load on it, but on the iPad. My iTunes is 11.0.2 & my computer is 10.6.8 (been procrastinating updating that, too because of the old iPod).  Debating using separate user accounts on the computer for each device - daughter seems able to update her 1 yr. old iPod on her own user account without messing up any of the other devices.  Would LOVE some input!  Thanks!

  • Installing a LOB App for Multiple Accounts On The Same Surface Device

    Hi,
When installing apps to iOS & Android there is no concept of a local user account, and an app can only be installed once. For Windows devices, a single device can have multiple accounts. Those accounts can be local or domain and have administrator privileges
    or not.
We are planning to use the Device Enrollment Manager concept in Intune to enroll approximately 200 non-domain joined devices. Each device will have two local accounts - one in English and one in French. We have a LOB Windows App that works in both
languages. We do not want the local accounts with the App to have administrative permission.
It seems you need local administrator permission to enroll the device. If I then install the app from this account, it works. However, I need the app installed on the local English and local French account.
When I log locally into the device using a standard account and log into the Company Portal, it shows the app as installed. It is not, however, installed for that user and is not accessible. Note that I'm using the same Intune account. It is only available
to the local administrator account. The only option I have is 'Re-Install'. When I select that, nothing happens - it is stuck in the "Installing..." state.
If I only enroll the device using the local administrator account and then log into the local standard account to install the app, it doesn't show as installed. When I choose to install it, it gets stuck on Installing.
    I'm missing something here...
Is it possible to install an App from Intune more than once on a Surface device? Do the Intune accounts need to be unique per-install? Is it possible to install the app without local administrator permission?
    Thank you!
    -jd

    An update. If I:
Enroll a Windows Surface using a local admin account
Request to install an app from a local standard account it appears stuck on Installing...
Log back in as the local admin account and wait, the app appears.
    Questions:
Can the same app be installed into multiple local accounts on the same device? It doesn't look like it.
Is the local account used when the device is enrolled the only local account that will install Intune apps?

  • Licensing of apps for multiple iPads in an enterprise environment

I have 21 iPads in an enterprise environment, syncing to one iPad.  Am I violating licensing terms.? These are 21 iPads used by 21 board members on each Friday.  Do I need to purchase this app 21 times?  If so how?

Yes, you may be. The applicable terms of sale are these:
(ii) If you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, you may download and sync an App Store Product for use by either (a) a single individual on one or more iOS Devices you own or control or (b) multiple individuals, on a single shared iOS Device you own or control. For example, a single employee may use the Product on both the employee's iPhone and iPad, or multiple students may serially use the Product on a single iPad located at a resource center or library.
If these iPads are under your own control and you just loan them out for the board meetings, then that might fall under clause (a), though I'm no lawyer and I don't speak for Apple.
If these iPads are kept by the board members for their use, then your company needs to purchase the app twenty-one times, and the only way at present to do that is through twenty-one different iTunes Store accounts. So each board member should probably buy through his or her own iTunes Store account, and get reimbursed by the company if appropriate. I know this is awkward; perhaps Apple will come up with a better mechanism in the future.
    Regards.

  • Managing apps for multiple users in one iTunes library

Hi - my wife and I both have iPhones and separate iTunes ID's.  We both share music in one iTunes library and sync to the same library.  We also backup our phones to that same computer.  We have some apps on both phones (for example, Pandora) and when we backup/restore our phones, iTunes apparently will put "my" version of apps on her phone and "her" version of apps on my phone.  Afterwards, when I update apps, my phone will ask for BOTH my iTunes ID AND her iTunes ID.   Similarly, her phone asks for both her ID and my ID.  Presumably, this also uses two of my FIVE authorized devices, which is also a problem.
My question is how can we manage our apps separately on iTunes so that we can get rid of this annoying behavior?  It is very common for families to share one common iTunes library, so I don't see why this would be unsupported.
    Thanks for any assistance!
