Map app with bicycle option

The default map app on my iPhone 4 doesn't seem to offer the same (beta) option for bicycling directions as Google Maps does in a computer browser.
Is there another map app with the option for bicycling directions?
Or an ETA for update of the default map app to include the bicycling option?

Thanks for the quick response but, none of those really address the core issue, so I'll try to be a little more specific in case anyone else has a suggestion.
As with Google Maps on my desktop computer, I'm looking for an app which will allow me to specify point A and point B on a map, then calculate suggested route and directions from A to B for bicycling. (Not automobile or walking.)
Don't need gear calculators or speedometers or timers or race results or tracks of where I've been.
Just looking for an app like Google Maps to calculate and display recommended bicycling route between my selected points.
It would be really simple if the existing default map app would add "bicycling" to the existing options, just like on my desktop. Far easier to carry an iPhone on my bike!

How to permanently delete Google Maps app with its data?

I want to remove my previous logins from the Google Maps app. I tried deleting it and then re-downloading it from the app store but the app shows with the iCloud logo and when I download it to my iPhone, it still shows my previous logins. There must be some way to permanently delete it?

There's no logout button. One can choose "Use Google Maps without a Google account" but not the logout:

But it still remembers my account whatever I choose.
The reason I'm thinking that the logins are stored on the phone is because I just restored my data to a brand new iPhone and Google Maps app did not have any of my login data. It has it now only after I logged in with the wrong account (by mistake.)

List of Map objects with html:options collection

Hello All,
I'm trying to get an arraylist of map objects to display dynamically as a dropdown select with html:options collection. I've spent hours on this and I haven't been able to get it working. Any ideas as to how this is done?

What is it that you want to show up in the dropdown box - all the name value pairs included in all the maps of the list?
Assuming with a Map the "key" is what you want submitted and the "value" is what to display to the user
Definitely sounds like a double loop structure is required. One to loop through all the maps. Another to generate all the options in each map.
This one does it at the basic level of things

HT5973 I lost MAC Maps App with OS X update of 12/18. How do I get it back?

Need to know how to get Mac Maps back after wiped out with auto update of 12/18/13.

No.fter the update there is a '?' on the App and it can't be opened. Only recourse is to drag to trash bin and don't want to do until I have solution. The Maps App was part of the Mavericks installation, not a separate App.

How do I look at my favorites in the Maps app with the new iOS8 software?

I can't find any button that leads to my Favorites/Bookmarks in the Maps app. There used to be an icon or something that I could click on but I don't see anything anymore since I got the new iOS8 software. Please help!

In iOS 8 you find your favorite locations by using the search bar. If you tap that, the Favorites section will come up and you can then tap it and see your favorites and select from them. See this page -

Why doesn't Lightroom appear in my list of installed apps, with the option to update it.

All the other apps appear available to update, but with Lightroom I have to download it and do a fresh install each time.

Sorry, re-reading the info, the path is correct - but it isn't perhaps as clear as it should be; might I suggest changing the wording to something like 'look for the opm.db file located at
/AppData/Local/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db
however - that doesn't solve the issue of Lightroom 5 not being listed in my installed apps!

Because of our customer now has 2 main central offices, and all other sub branches are now connected to each of these main central office via one primary full-meshed MPLS VPN of 1st Service Provider, so If I use the float static routes, and when there is a failure at one link at a CENTRAL CE Router to primary link to primary MPLS VPN Service Provider, but still there is no failure at the other site from a router CE sub branch with the the PE of the primary full-meshed MPLS VPN Layer 3 Service Provider,so It cannot cause a failover to a second redundant link of the 2nd Service Provider?
So with our system, do we only have one solution like this:
-Configure BGP as the routing protocol between the CE and the PE routers.
-Use local preference and Multi Exit Discriminator (MED) when running BGP inside a our customer VPN to select the primary and backup links.
-Use AS-override feature to support overlapping AS numbers between customer sites

Google and Apple have apparently parted ways in the 'bundled apps' area.
If you don't like the bundled map app, then your option is to look for a replacement in the app store.

Limiting access to apps with parental controls without annoying popups

I created a user account for my preschool kids. Desiring to limit access to everything but a couple of game apps, I unchecked everything but those apps in parental controls—Given that they can't read yet, I want to make this as simple as possible.
I keep getting popups from a couple of applications that I assume are wanting to run in the background. One is related to a printer driver (KodakAiBonjourAgent), the other to a flip camera (flipshareautorun). They notify me that I don't have permission to run those apps, with three options: allow always, allow once, or OK.
Choosing OK means I get the message again, about every 12 seconds.
How can I get rid of these messages on this user account?

Can someone help me with an answer for this.
I'm getting the same system pop-up accross all my 'managed' users.
By typing in my system 'admin' account details, and choosing 'alwasy allow' does nothing to prevent the sytem error.

Is there a way for the Yosemite maps app to add address to an existing contact (in contacts app) instead of creating new contact record with blank name (not useful)?

I was using the maps app in yosemite to look up an address, once I was able to verify the address, I wanted to add that address to an existing contact record in the contacts app. When I clicked on the option to add address to contacts, it unfortunately creates a new record with the address in it, however, the rest of the contact is blank.

HT5429 I noticed my moms iPad 2 had a option to print off the maps app, my iPad 2 does not. Has anyone else noticed this?

I was helping my mom with her iPad 2 and noticed her map app can print the map out by touching the bottom right corner. So I came home excited that I could do the same on my iPad 2, unfortunately mine does not have the print option. How would I change this?

I bought an iPhone 5s in China and the maps app is different. When I go to the US will I be able to use Apple's native app or will I be stuck with this one?

So I wanted to ask a question that my googlefoo couldn't help me solve.
I bought an iphone at a reputable electronics market here in China and it is an AT&T model phone. I bought it at one of the grey market locations because they were sold out elsewhere. I contacted a friend at AT&T to make sure it is a legit AT&T model. The phone is great and everything works perfectly including maps. But maps are done by Autonavi here in China, not Apple. I downloaded the Mavericks update on my mac and tried some of the new maps features and they wouldn't work with my phone. That's okay since I live in China now but I'll be going back to the USA soon and I wonder what will happen. Will it update the app to Apple's native one or stay with Autonavi. Autonatvi does not have the flyover features and it is not robust in the USA.
Who can help me out here? Has anyone purchased a 5, 5c, or 5s in China and gone elsewhere? Did the maps app change?

I live in China as well and my iPhone5s is the model A1530 I bougth outside China. I have the same problem as Nikatnight with the iPhone while the iPad Air (wifi only) is working like a charm. It must be definitely something related to the carrier since I was abroad few days ago and everything worked well.
If you pay attention at the source of your maps, you'll discover they are provided by AutoNavi instead of TomTom and make them appear in chinese with their own border interpretation. Queries are only acceppted in Chinese (p.e. if I type in english "Los Angeles International Airport" it replies it cannot locate it)
I suppose everything will be fine when you'll be out of censorship....
Perhaps iOS Apple Maps are absolutely useless for expatriate in China.
Use Google Maps instead

Battery drain with ios6 apps crashing! google maps app is gone. The Apple version is like asking a blind man for directions! Awful. As consumers we are caught up in the squabbles between Apple and Google, and we pay the price.

Does anyone else have battery life problems with the iOS6 update? Some of my other apps crash constantly, bringing my reading or workflow back to the home screen. The new map App is a disaster! Is there an online petition to have Apple bring back the Google map app? It is like asking a blind man for driections! I was considering th next iPhone but from reading your review I may consider this device instead. What I need to know is this. When the phone is in a phone holder which you have in a car for example does the screen get pressed at the sides? I don't wan't to open up Waze put my phone in a holder and it get cancelled out by what it thinks is a button press. Also, is the screen goign to be scratched easy? I am guessing there is no decent screen guards yet. I did buy some screen protection liquid that was recommended on these forums and my lumia still got scratched by about an inch or so.

Maps app crash when searching starts with a 'k'

When I do a search in the maps app. that begins with the letter k, (I was looking to see where kuwait was), the app crashes. I was wondering if anybody else has this problem and how I could fix it.

The problem doesn't occur on my system, so I doubt it's a bug in the Maps app, anyway. Have you tried restarting your iPad? (Hold down the power button until you get the red "slide to power off", do so, and then press the power button again to start the iPad back up.)
