Map Datasource field NUMC to Cube Key Figure

How do we go about mapping a NUMC field from the datasource to a Key figure(DEC) in an InfoCube?

Thanks for your answer, first i unmapped in transfer rules as per your sugession and executed the infopackage but the data has come when i was unmapped in update rules the data has not come.
My doubt is when i was unmapped in TR even though the data has come, so what is the use of unmapped here.
and how to unmapped char
please clarify my doubt

Info cube key figure quantity is more than the data source

Hi,
I am loading data from a custom table data source into an info cube. The data records and key figure quantity of the info cube is more than the data source custom table.
I checked the extraction in RSA3. The number of records records and key figure quantity are exactly extracted from the data source in RSA3 transaction.
But after loading using the info package, the number of records and the key figure quantity of the info cube is more than the actual records available in the data source. The update rule is simple 1 to 1 mapping.
Kindly help to troubleshoot this issue.

Hi,
There could be some other data already avilable in the Infocube. Pls take the Request ID or Number from the last run of the Infopackage you used and check the records only for that Request ID in Infocube.
You can check the data in the LISTCUBE Transaction.

Planning cube Key figure over flow error

Hi Experts,
I am getting the following Key figure errors in Planning cube while running the Planning sequences.
1.Over flow occurred when calculating KF
KF details : Data type: DEC-Counter or amount filed with comma and sign.
2.ORA-01455: converting column overflows integer data type
Data type : INT4- 4byte integer,Integer number with sign.
The number s are growing in cube and it is giving overflow error .We are compressing the cubes once in a week.we are using these KF's in two cubes.Please help me to resolve the issue.

Table fields used for basic key figures in report writer/report painter

Does anyone know how I can find which table field is actually being used for SAP defined basic key figures in report writer report? For example, HSL is a basic key figure for income statement, library 0F1, report 0F-GUVV. It only shows data is coming from table GLFUNCT. How does the report writer program knows which fields to select? What is the logic behind the basic key figures?
Any advice is appreciated!!

I have now resolved this issue.
I had to manually update TablesT804B and T804F.
I've added entries to T804A in the past without the need to update T804B or T804F manually so it appears that the way these tables work together has changed following an upgrade or application of support packs.

Mapping for fields in Standard cube

Hi,
There arent any mappings for the date related fields 0RPM_MONTH,0RPM_YEAR,..etc. in the business content cube 0RPM_c02 capacity management. I could not find any relevant mappings in sap help also.Please provide any pointers as to how to update these fields as these are the main field in the standard BC reports.

Because there no data in these fields 2 of the standard reports return with no applicable data.But all other fields in the report have appropriate data.What i would like to understand is since it is being used as main field in the report and not been provided a mapping in BC based on what shall go and update it so that i can get data in the report.

ABAP Code for Key Figure selection in Report

Hello Experts,
I am working on one of the development request that requires following logic to be implemented at query execution. There will one KF column and based on valid combination of characteristics value from the cube, Key Figure value from the same cube will be selected and reported.
If ((Plant = A1) and (Division = B1))
OR ((Plant =A2 ) and (Division = B1))
OR ((Plant = A3) and (Division = B2))
OR ((Plant = A6) and (Division = B2)).
Price = Moving Avg.
Else
Price = Standard.
Can somebody please suggest, how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Step 1.Create a formula (say F1)variable with customer exit. In the customer exit code read the values of Plant and Division. If the Plant and Division combination is the one that you specified below return a 1 (for Moving Avg.) or return a 0 (for Standard).
Step 2. Create a column with a formula having the following definition
(F1=1)'Moving Avg.' + (F1=0)'Standard'
So, if the combination satisfies Moving Avg will be shown else Standard will be shown.
You can avoid customer exit coding by using replacement variables and using them in a formula, this would make your calculation clumsy and confusing. Let me know if you cannot get the customer exit solution work.

Highlight a key figure based on a characteristic value

I have a query set-up with the following information fields:
Project_Phase (characteristic), Phase1_ForecastFinishDate (key figure), Phase2_ForecastFinishDate (key figure), Phase3_ForecastFinishDate (key figure), Phase4_ForecastFinishDate (key figure), Phase5_ForecastFinishDate (key figure)
As you can see from the above, the first field is a characteristics and the others are key figures.
I want to set the query up so that if for example, Project_Phase = u201CPhase 2u201D, then the corresponding ForecastFinishDate would highlight green u2013 in this case it would be Phase2_ForecastFinishDate.
Is this possible using an exception, or any other method for that matter. We are using version 3.5.

Problems in using a calculated key figure in the Clustering Model

We have a problem in using a calculated key figure in the clustering model. With the limitation of the standard, in the Field tab, each calculated key figure cannot be selected from the selection screen directly. According to the SAP help, we have to use a dummy infoobject for a calculated key figure.
Are there any other ways to use a calculated key figure without using a dummy infoojbect?

View creation and populating key figure to datasource appended field

J_3GVERSI + EQUZ + ILOA+ ANLC
HOW should i create a view on these four tables .

anlc- comp code asset no asset sub no
my two key figure values are in J_3gversi , and 1 more keyfigure i will append it to my datasource on this view and the value for this will be obtained if i give 5 field values( from ANLC(table), compcode,asset no ,asset subnumbr, fiscal year and depreciatio area in where condition for select statement in cmod .)
to give these 5 values in the where condition in my cmod code for my datasource I tried to make this view.
i have linked

equz with iloa- using ILOAN ( since my asset no and asset sub number in this table is linked to equipment number using ILOAN field)
ILOA with ANLC- using ( company code, asset number and asset subnumber)

1.Yes we do this many times .We combine fields having different names but functionally they are the key values to match .
No issue with that untill they are in same format and you want to match data based on those fields .
HOW should i create a view on these four tables .
2.For view you can create view on 2-3 tables with matching fields and for complex logic you can populate additional fields via CMOD code .

Hi,
I am not very sure about the 9ARE aggregate (haven't used it in backups), but RTSCUBE is used to copy time Series (TS) KF data from cube to planning area (SNP or DP).
Are you trying to restore some time series data from your backup cube to the planning area? If yes, then do a mapping of characteristic from cube to planning area in RTSCUBE, and also map the TS KF between cube and planning area.
If your KF is not a time series KF, then you can't copy it from cube to planning area. You could get data to cube for some reporting, otherwise I am not sure what use the backup is for you. For SNP, most of the data would be received from R/3, so there's not much point in having a backup.

Key Figure can't find mapping in transfer rules

Hi,
I am trying to validate some data for datasource 2LIS_12_VCITM. I went through the transfer structure and it has the mapping of LFIMG Actual quantity delivered (in sales units) to 0DLV_QTY. However, when I tried to validate the key figure data, this field LFIMG supposedly has the quantity value for the key figure InfoObject name other than 0DLV_QTY. Why is this? I can't seem to do a 1-to-1 mapping of the key figures to the fields from the R3 table.

Mapping of BI Key figures to BPC Amount

Hi All,
I want to know that how do we map the key figures in BI cube to BPC Amount.
I have also gone through Pravin Datar's Blog ( /people/pravin.datar/blog/2009/04/16/loading-transactional-data-from-any-infocube-to-bpc-application-in-bpc7nw
) regarding it but didn't find the solution.
All the key figures are suggested to be mapped to Amount, but it will not work as whole data will come in amount only. So please suggest me
1. how to proceed with the mapping of different key figures in BI to BPC Amount.
2. Also do we have to create a seperate dimension to hold all these key figures.
Please help me in above doubts.

Are you talking about the situation in which multiple key figures are to be mapped to single Signdata in BPC?
if that is the case, there is a possibilty in BI where u can create BI cube with single keyfigure and load the data to it by using rule groups option in BI transformations. fields can be transformed below manner.

Model multiple key figures of BI cube to BPC

Hi Experts,Probably a good way of having multiple Key figure values from BI to BPC is to convert it into a account based model (create a dimension and have the key figures as dimension members).I have this scenraio where we are using COPA (costing based) for BPC mgmt consol.This costing based COPA cube in BI has around 120 Key figures.Pls advice on the best way to medel this scnerio in BPC where i would probably need most of those Kf's.I am also looking at how i could reduce separate transformation files/mappings from BI to BPC also on the same..

Thank you Pravin and Ajay for your valuable suggestions and time.what i would like to clarify is on the transformations.Let us say i have my BI cube as costing based itself and this i need to map to BPC dimension.
BI structure- char1 ,char 2,char 3 ,KF1(value field 1),KF2(value field 2),KF3(valuefield3),KF4....
In BPC ,lets say we have a separate dimension (i guess this should be of account type or probably user defined one) which would have dimension members as KF1,KF2,KF3,KF4....
Now how would i do the mapping/transformations from BI to BPC? would i need to have 4different transformation files (assuming i have 4 KF's in my BI cube) for each KF & char combination and thus to load data also many times.
How to achieve modelling side of this situation.any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

I enhanced the datasource 0XYZ_ATTR, by adding an append structure to BIW_XYZ. Do I need to add a currency field to the append structure? Where do I reference this currency field? Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, you need to include a currency field, at least when you get to the BW side (mapping) ... In this case, if you use 0PRICE, you need to include 0CURRENCY...
You can either assign it in the ABAP routine for the InfoObject Attributes in CMOD or once you do the mapping in BW... Either as a fixed value or transferred from R/3, if you added it to the enhance structure and assigned a value to it in your CMOD include...
0MATERIAL is a good reference to look at for this kind of scenario...

For CO-PA since it is a generated DataSource, except for the common characteristics ( E.g. Company Code, Controlling Area ) where you get standard InfoObjects for all other Characteristics and Key Figures you end up creating custom or Z characteristics and key figures. This is unavoidable.
