Map EDI messages to SAP iDocs

Hi all,
Is is possible to map EDI messages to SAP iDocs using Oracle Integration?
Thanks

Yes, OracleAS Integration has several components. One is called Integration B2B, which allow you to send and receive EDI messages. You can then pass this on either using Integration InterConnect or BPEL Process Manager to the SAP adapter which can talk to SAP systems using e.g. iDocs.

  • SAP IDOC to IDOC.xml

    Hello All,
I have a scenario where I need to pass IDOC.xml from SAP to Legacy system: we need to pass Customer Master and Material Master to the same server.. I am using same File CC to send the IDOC.xml file to the location....
Is it possible to send the name of the file with respec to IDOC type? Suppose if MATERIAL is sending then Material.xml and if Customer then Customer.xml
How can I achieve it?? I am not using any ESA objects as I am just passing message from SAP IDOC to Legacy IDOC.xml.
    Thanks
    Rajeev

    Hi,
I configured what you mentioend... But I am getting test.xml as I used a dummy interface name and name space as I didnt used any ESA (IR) objects.... I am jsut passing the ECC IDOC.xml to IDOC.xml to legacy applicaiton...
MATMAS01 released from ECC to sap pi.... SAP PI will pass this IDOC to Legacy applicaiton as MATMAS01.xml
DEBMAS01 released from ECC to sap pi.... SAP PI will pass this IDOC to Legacy applicaiton as DEDMAS01.xml
As I am not using any transformations and the format target system needed is idoc.xml .. I am using ID objects to forward the IDOC.xml files..
Please let me know is there any way to dynamically change the file name?
    Thanks

  • EDI message to IDOC mapping

    hi
is there a place where i can find mapping of EDI messages to that of SAP IDOC message types?
    ~Suresh

    Hi Suresh,
EDI subsystem will convert the IDOC into flat file (X12, EDIFACT, ODETTE, VDA etc) or flat file into IDOC. At the EDI subsytem the there will be field mapping instructions design will be there which maps the idoc to flat file. So its EDI subsystem which will be used identify the idoc msg types. Which subsystem u are using.

  • EDI message QALITY: mapping of IDoc QALITY02

    Guys,
We need to send quality certificates to customers from an R/3 system (release 6.20) as EDI messages of type QALITY, via an EDI middleware (EDI Manager by ATOS ORIGIN). Our counterpart at ATOS ORIGIN says that they've never done this before (which strikes me as strange, but can't be helped), and we're expected to provide a detailed mapping between SAP and EDI to him. Although I'm quite at ease in the ALE/IDoc world, I've never been exposed to the actual EDI side of the game.
I don't yet know which EDI message release(s) the recipients expect, but when comparing the various releases at www.unece.org/trade/untdid/ it seems to me that the differences are not so big.
Here's my question: Has anybody ever mapped the basic type QALITY02 to an EDI message of the QALITY family?
All other hints and inputs would also greatly be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Development of:  SAP- XML IDOC Validation - Mapping - EDI-VAN

    Hi ,
    I am novice to SAP.
I would appreciate, if you would suggest best way to achieve following Scenario:
With Minimum Cost. No High Cost middleware products, beacuse we have only following two scenarios.
    1.  SAP -
    > XML IDOC (SHPMNT01) Validation -
    > MapTo- EDI 404_4010------> FTP Loation
    2. SAP----
    >XML IDOC ZSHPEXT1 Validation -
    > MapTo  EDI 204_4010 -
    > VAN
       A. XML IDOC ZSHPEXT1 Validation  error send error message to SAP
B.SMTP-  Email if there is IDOC validation error or error in message.
Just for information: We have ERPConnect.
    Thank You,

    Hi
    Thanks for the answer.
Regarding the FM IDX_XML_TO_IDOC, I thing that I can't use it directly because I have to write a program, I have to read the Xml file (that is located in a special directory of the operative system) and then use the FM putting xml data in the XML_DATA import parameter.
    It's correct?
    Bye

  • Access Server-SAP IDOC Message Question

    Hi.
We have configured an access server to receive realtime IDOC messages from SAP. Required configuration has been done on the BODS side:
On Web admin console for RFC client configuration and real-time service configuration
On the SAP RFC Connection, logical system, and partner profile setup side.
Issue is on the SAP side it shows message was sent successfully where as on the BODS side the message received count is 0.
Any insights any one can share regarding how to troubleshoot this issue would be really appreciated
    Thanks
    Rajiv

Thanks. It was an IDOC mismatch error.
Now we do have correct IDOC mismatch but to me now it seems to be a data issue now.
I have the real-time job and I am getting the following error when I view Access server logs.
SP(PPROLL01, l1.no.com:3500)::flowThread() Flow became invalid during waiting for request (BODI-300137)
Unknown: R3RfcClient(NewR3Rfc_1) ActaIDocFunc::Process() encountered processing error for Requeste(4) (Communication Error. See real time job log for details.) (IDOC 0000000000209266/RPD210    ). (BODI-300129)
Real time job log does not show any thing in the error log other than the trace log which shows:
DATAFLOW: Cache statistics determined that data flow <DF_ZFII034_PPAYROLL01_TEST_RT> uses <0> caches with a total size of <0> bytes. This is less than(or equal to) the virtual memory <3757047808> bytes available for caches. Statistics is switching the cache type to IN MEMORY.
To check if the mapping is valid I created another batch job using the same IDOC as used in the real-time job above but BODS gives me a generic error. I had all tracing enabled even then it gave a generic error.
    458946     1     RUN-050505     08/09/2009 3:45:25 PM     |Dataflow DF_SAP_BATCH_V1|Transform Q1-Nest1

All the fields in the input are varchar or date type and the repository database and staging database is oracle 10G.
    Thanks for the help,

  • SAP IDoc mapping to Quadrem xCBL 3.0 format?

    Hi there,
We currently have an XI scenario whereby PO's and RFQ's are sent to a Quadrem system that requires the message to be in xCBL 3.0 format. I have seen that SAP provide some standard XSLT's that can convert the SAP IDoc into xCBL 3.5. (namespace - http://sap.com/xi/EBP)
To counter this currently we first run the SAP standard XSLT mapping to xCBL 3.5 and then run a Java mapping to convert that result into xCBL 3.0.......
My question is: Is there a SAP standard XSLT that can convert into the xCBL 3.0 format?
Would you recommend enhancing the SAP standard XSLT from SAP so that it caters for the xCBL 3.0 format? Obvioulsy I would prefer to just use standard SAP though....
    Any ideas?
I would appreciate any advise or push in the right direction...thanks
    Regards
    Lynton

    Hi Chris,
Sorry for the late response....I work at multiple clients.
What we currently do is use the standard mappings from SAP to get the IDoc into xCBL 3.5 format and use some Java mappings to take out or add in any other fields to that mapping....
To be honest I would love to have a GRAPHICAL mappings for this, it would be so much easier to maintain.......
Any ideas on what you think would be the easiest way to get this right?
    Thanks

  • Integrate SAP to another program by EDI message

I would like to integrate data between SAP and another application by using EDI concept (any SAP module). Is EDI congifuration / idoc in SAP standard ? or I have to integrate an EDI module to my current SAP module first ?

    Voradanu,
I would like to integrate data between SAP and another application by using EDI concept (any SAP module).
I assume that when you say "EDI concept", you mean one of the various Electronic Data Interchange standards (e.g. EDIFACT,  X.12, etc.).  Within SAP ERP there is no "EDI Module".  SAP does not provide EDI translators.  If you want to output data using one of these EDI standards, you will probably have to purchase a third party EDI translator.
Do SAP EDI configuration / idoc are SAP standard ?
I am not sure what this means.  As I said before, SAP ERP does not support EDI.  However, SAP does provide IDOCs (Intermediate documents) for virtually any data export or import need.  SAP has standard IDOCs, and they are also extensible, in that if the standards do not meet your requirements, you can create customized IDOCs.
or I have to integrate an EDI module to my current SAP module first ?
I am not sure what that means.  Just about all SAP modules support export/import of IDOCs.  Outgoing IDOCs in turn can be sent to an EDI Translator, where additional processing can be done, prior to creating the EDI message and transmitting to a partner.  Likewise, you can use your EDI translator to receive EDI messages, perform additional processing, and then pass the results to SAP IDOC input processing.

  • The PO number for cXML invoice mapped to SAP IDoc INVOIC.INVOIC01

    Hey, PI gurus,
I mapped a cXML invoice to SAP IDoc INVOIC.INVOIC01.
My problem was that for the multiple line items invoice, the PO number will only show up in  IDoc E1EDP02->BELNR for the first line item and will not show up for the other line items.
In cXML message, the PO number is in InvoiceDetailOrder->InvoiceDetailOrderInfo->OrderReference->orderID.
I changed the value in Context for @orderID and it did not help.
    Any advice?
    Thank you in advance!
    Fisher Li

    Hi,
I understand your scenario is XML to IDOC.
Now I assume one XML corresponds to One IDOC which corresponds to 1 Invoice.
In your XML, I think PO Number is coming multiple times but same value. Is my understanding correct?
If that is the case, use below mapping.
PO Number --> Remove Context --> Colapse Context--> Target PO Number field
This will ensure, you will get only one PO number in your IDOC.
Else, Please provide your source XML sample.

  • Finding message in SAP Business Connector with IDoc number

    Hi Experts,
Since there is no separate forum for Business Connector, posing my question here.
Does anyone have idea how we can find a message in SAP Business Connector if we know the source IDoc number, the same way we use IDX5 in PI.
    Thanks,
    Dhawal

AFAIK there is no simple way.  What I usually do is compare timestamps. The Idoc is usually processed on the B.C. within the same minute.
We only have up to 10 Idocs within one minute and I do not have to search every day. So it works for me.

  • Mapping EDI 820  (remittance advice) to IDOC

    Hi,
Can anyone give me the steps required to do a mapping of EDI 820 (Remittance advice) to IDOC? If you have the mapping already, can you send that to me at garapatic at yahoo.com

    Hi Greetson,
Before I posted information on this forum, I checked the web to see if I can look at any helpful stuff for this mapping and I could not find any.
I tried to look for EDI EDIFACT stuff on the website for my mapping EDI vendor(Biztalk) and could not find any.
Can you point me to specific websites which will be helpful to me? Or to any mapping document.
    Thanks,
