I have Network Magic install on three different computers. On two of them the icon for the router shows the actually linkys router. While the icon on the third computer shows generic icon. How can I make the third computer show the same icon as the one showing on the other computers?

Check to make sure that Network and Sharing Center are configured the same throughout your Network. Not only do you need to configure Network Magic, you must configure Network and Sharing Center, in each copy of Windows 7 operating systems.

Problem #2 Upon startup get flashing Google map icon then ? finally starts

In further review and work towards external hard drive (startup disc) near full,
I have encounterd upon startup a flashing icon which I believe is google world or map icon. This flashes for about 30 seconds, and then turns into a flashing ?? with a Mac type face/file. The google map or world app does not appear to be anywhere that I can find on the computer. Any advice on how to make right?
Also how can users download stuff like this without admin privileges.

In System Preferences > Startup Disks, what should be selected is Mac OS X 10.3.7 on Macintosh HD.
If that corrects the issue, what you were seeing wasn't a symptom of something that was downloaded. The system was just searching for a drive to start up from.

Nokia Maps Icon Missing?

Good day everyone.
i have just bought this new Nokia Asha 303 phone and i thought the software installed in the phone is incomplete because i cant seem to find the shortcut for nokia maps. I installed the nokia suite in my pc and check for software updates and it is up to date. I already tried factory reset, but nothing, still the same. Is it possible to restore the missing icon? thanks for any help.

Right after having my new phone I started exploring its possibilities testing applications from Ovi store. At some point I got some problems with an application so I decided it would be a good idea to try a reset... I first try with an app settings reset to defaults (from the s40 Configuration menu, not the Restoring Factory Defaults menu)... right after that I realized I didn't have Nokia Maps icon in any of the lists of installed applications, nor I could found any loader in both file units, phone and memory card, for it... I was not 100% sure the icon vanished after settings reset, but I supposed it, so I thought something went definitely wrong and I decided to try reset to factory defaults as I just started testing the phone so I hadn't any information saved there to lose... what I could not expect it's that a factory reset will not yield the software at the same very state as what I received short time before. In addition to not getting back the Nokia Maps icon, I noticed another difference in the system, I have an Introduction icon in the list of default applications, that triggers a video playback showing the phone basics... now when I push that button, the playback starts but only for the audio, and instead of the video I show a black screen with a NOKIA logo in the center, the same very screen I see when boot up the phone. BlackBerry 8310 O2-UK No BB maps icon.

Hello, i have BlackBerry 8310 branded to O2 UK. It seem that the BB Maps app is installed on it because when i check i Options>Advanced Options>Applications and it is there but i cant see the BB Maps icon in the menu or anywhere else. Is that locked from O2? Is there any way to remove that lock or to debrand the phone? And if it is not that then what is it ? Thanks for support!

Icon Problem vs Warranty

The icon problem happened to me and after trying everything I put it in a Apple dealer. Is this type problem included in the Warranty? The product just had 3 weeks and it stoped working properly. The dealer says I have to pay the repair.

Missing Map Icon

I want to get directions on my new Blackberry Curve 8900, but for some reason there is no map icon for me to click on (as pictured in the tutorial). Do I have to download this? Shouldn't it have come on it? How do I get it? Many, many thanks for any help!

E6 - map update problem

Hi,
Today I updated the map software (it was a 16mb file). After the update, map is not working as expected. Now when I press map icon, it opens the map of the locality (with 'searching for position' on top). It is not giving the options to choose drive/ walk/ favorites etc.
Practically map is of no use now. Can somebody please help?

Whilst in Nokia Maps application can you tap on "cogs icon" at base of screen > Extras > About Maps > Versions - is it v3.08_11wk47_b04?

Map Icon in Toolbar on iPhone 3GS

I can't find any info about the map icon - a pointy arrow that appears in the iphone toolbar next to the battery icon after some map-related apps have been used. What does this icon mean exactly? How is it toggled on and off?

This issue can occur if the environment has a disjointed namespace (i.e. the domain has different NetBIOS and DNS names). When users are added in the Windows UI, they are displayed in the format of domain\ComputerName. (System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager install fails and generates ID: 4323: "A member could not be added")
Tried to find out my DNS name, but it is impossible because I don't have any domain installed and my machine is not connected to it. Some other blog (Install Oracle 11gR2 on Windows) advices to work with adding my computer account to some non-real windows domain (just for the purpose of resolving the network) as well and reinstall the database then. If I undestand it right I need minimum 2 machines for this. But I own just one, where the server is based and thought that is enough to run the database... no idea ..

OS6 on Curve 9300 - maps icon dissappeared

After OS6 was downloaded and installed on my Curve 9300, the Maps icon dissappeared.
Using the Desktop Software, in the list of installed applications Maps is listed.
What must i do to get an icon for Maps?

Hide an Icon:
1. Click and hold the icon you want to hide.
2. Select Hide from the menu that appears
3. If the icon is colorless but not hidden, press the Menu key and make sure that Show All is not selected from the action menu.
To find and Unhide an Icon:
We will reverse the process to find and unhide and icon. Reference the photos above if you are confused.
1. Press the Menu key and select Show All
2. Find your “hidden” icon which should be colorless on the All view on the home screen.
3. Press the icon and press the Hide button from the menu appears
4. You will want to press the Menu key again and deselect Show All so the icons you want to stay hidden will disappear again.
