Map LDAP/eDir "Language" and Vibe "Locale" attributes ?

Hello,
We can map a lot of LDAP/eDir user attributes with the Novell Vibe user attributes.
Now, I would like to know if it is possible to map the "language" attributes ?
The idea is to get the user "language" attribute from eDir and, based on it, to configure the Vibe "Locale" attribute ....
Tx for your help ...

  • How to map LDAP user language to portal user language?

    Hi guys,
    I need to get the logon language of our portal users from LDAP. I tried to modify the xml datasourceconfiguration file adding the "language" attribute, without any result. Anyone have some ideas?
    I think this is a strange behaviour because I tried to add or remove other attributes such as "mobile", "telephone", ecc... and the system works without troubles adding or removing these attributes.

  • Multi-Message-split with ABAP mapping and adapter specific attributes

    Hi all,
    With <b>ABAP-Mapping I split 1 message to n messages</b>.
    So many files are generated in <b>file-Adapter</b>.
    Everything fine.
    But now I want the file names different using adapter specific attributes.
    It is not possible to use variable substitution and write the file name in payload because of receiver restrictions.
    I tried this with following similar coding in ABAP-Mapping:
    data: lt_records TYPE MPP_DYNAMIC_TAB.
          Loop.
          l_file_name = "payload-Inbound"-information
          ls_record-namespace = 'http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File'.
          ls_record-name = 'FileName'.
          ls_record-value = l_file_name.  "l_file_name comes from inbound-payload
          append ls_record to lt_records.
         Endloop.
      CALL METHOD dynamic_configuration->set_all_records
        EXPORTING
          records = lt_records.
    If I start the interface I see in the monitoring the dynamic configuration with many entries for file-name in the the SOAP-Header mapping of the request message (following extract):
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Mapping der Request-Message
      -->
    - <SAP:DynamicConfiguration xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">BPAADDRESS.XML</SAP:Record>
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">BPABROKERROLE.XML</SAP:Record>
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">BPACOMPANYSEGMENT.XML</SAP:Record>
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">BPACUSTOMERROLE.XML</SAP:Record>
    The result is that <b>all files have the same file name</b> (last entry in dynamic configuration).
    Is it possible to write the adapter specific configuration in ABAP-mapping <u>for every single result message</u>??
    Thank you for your help,
    Florian

    Hi Florian,
    I've a different idea...I dont think its a "right solution" but just another work around..it involves a BPM...
    In your ABAP mapping..set the dynamic config with as many variables as number of different messages...i.e. use the variables like 'FileName1', 'FileName2'...'FileName6' instead of 'FileName'. But use the same namespace 'http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File'
    Call the above mapping in a BPM and capture the individual messages and set the attribute 'FileName' from the values of 'FileName1' to 'FileName6' accordingly using Message Mapping and then send the message using the 'Send' step.
    before you try this, try using the variable names 'FileName1' ...'FileName6' in the receiver adapters...enable the ASMS. <b>I know we need to select which variables from the dynamic config to be used by the adapter by specifically selecting 'FileName', 'Directory' etc...but just give it a try and see if it works..</b>
    Or..instead of using a BPM..you can combine Henrique's idea...use Adapter module to set the value for 'FileName' from variables 'FileName1'...'FileName6' accordingly.
    hope I'm clear..lemme know if you have any questions..
    cheers

    My wife had a problem with her iPhone 5C with no voice on the Maps app.  I visited my local Apple store and they said the problem was in iCloud.  We did a new install and it works great now.  Now 4 days later my iPhone 5 that is tied to the same iCloud has the same problem with the Maps app.  I really don't want to go through a new set-up with my iPhone 5.  What's going on with iCloud?

    I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
    The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
    if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
    Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.
    turning of locator and the push notifications from facebook--they have a lot!

  • URLScraper and French Locale

    I'm trying to set up a multilingual portal at the company (fr & en more may follow). I can't figure out how the URLscraper would handle french. I noticed that there is a separate .properties file for french titles, etc. but how can the scraper sling french content rather than english content to the user based on language preference?
    Do we have to:
    1. create a separate role and/or scraper for french and english?
    2. Make sure the content is bilingual?
    3. Scrape a custom JSP provider that reads the local attribute and serves content in the appropriate language?
    4. Other?
    Your input would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Cheers,
    -Dug

    The problem is portal does not support localization per channel, hence there is really no configuration you can do to acheive that. Looking at the options you have listed.
    1.) This is possible if the user would always see content only for his local if that is the case then you can create seperate channels for your locales then put users in seperate roles based on the locales serve appropriate content.
    3.) you can write a jsp to scrape the content yourself. THe jsp can display the content based on the local selected for the user. This is the most general option of the 3 and probably the most flexible for you ..

  • Local attributes - global attributes tradeoff

    Hi, MDM experts.
    Can you, please, share your experience on business partners repository modeling.
    I build custom business partners repository. While creating it I came to a question - whether local system attributes of business partner should be modelled in that repository?
    Intrinsic attributes like Full Name, State Identity Number and so on should be definitely modeled. Attributes specific to our organization but those that span many of our systems should also be modeled I think.
    But what's about some specific attributes that are relevant only for one of the systems being integrated? To be concrete, imagine we have SAP ERP system as one of the systems in landscape and such attribute of our business partner as 'Purchasing organization'. In our case this table is SAP ERP specific and none of our other systems have such entity in their data model.
    <b>The question is - is it reasonable to have local system attributes and lookup tables implemented in central MDM repository?</b>
    If yes then isn't our repository going to be overloaded with all that local attributes and lookup tables of every client system?
    If no, then how should process of central creation of business partner look like? The problem is in this case Creator won't be be able to assign all attributes he would like to and he will have to login to each of local system and assign these values after central creation. Moreover, client systems can refuse to create new record automatically in case some of attributes are missing. For example such situation is typical for Idoc inbound processing .
    Have you any suggestions on streamlining the data model and BP central creation process ?
    Regards,
    Vadim Kalabin

    Hi vadim,
    These are my thoughts on your issue.
    I feel both the attributes should find place in the same repository.
    This is not going to overload the system. In some typical MDM Implementation the volume of Main table records will very huge and the Local and global attributes will only occupy a less share only on the total records.
    Also the practice is that MDM DB Server and the core server runs separately.

    Note the lack of local attributes. I have analogous src to query local attrs of the T_SERVER class which works fine. Any ideas on why I'm not getting T_QUEUE local attrs?

    Michael,
    The local attributes in the T_QUEUE class aer TA_TOTNQUEUED, TA_TOTWKQUEUED, TA_SOURCE, TA_NQUEUED, and TA_WKQUEUED.
    TA_WKQUEUED and TA_SOURCE are being returned as part of the result.
    For TA_TOTNQUEUED the TM_MIB(5) manual page T_QUEUE class definition lists the following limitation:
    Limitation: If the T_DOMAIN:TA_LDBAL attribute is "N" or the T_DOMAIN:TA_MODEL attribute is "MP", TA_TOTNQUEUED is not returned. In the same configuration, updates to this attribute are ignored. Consequently, when this attribute is returned TA_LMID and TA_SOURCE have the same value.
    There is a similar limitation listed for TA_TOTWKQUEUED and TA_NQUEUED. That is why you are not seeing those 3 attributes in the result.

    Ed

  • Local Attributes of the T_SERVER Class

    What's the secret to getting the attributes listed as "local" in the MIB doc? I have some simple code to do GETs and then dump the contents of the receive buffer. Everything works nicely except I can't seem to get any of the "local" T_SERVER Attributes. I have tried setting the MIB_LOCAL flag. I have tried specifying the local attributes in a filter. All to no avail.

    Answering my own post. What I was missing was the '&' in front of MIB_LOCAL. Chalk that one up to a stupid typo.

    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    Delete your  remove action from the GPP and push it again, does this issue still occur?
    If it still exists, let’s collect the GPP log for analysis:
    Group policy Preference debug logging policy settings are located under:
    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Group Policy
    Click Logging and tracing, select local users and group preference logging and trace.
    Meanwhile, just a similar issue, but it is worth trying:
    A user is added to the wrong group on a client computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

  • Mapping LDAP Groups to SAP Roles

    Hi there,
    i am trying to build up a synchron usermanagement with a LDAP-Server between EP, Web AS Java and Web AS ABAP.
    My thought is to administrate the users in the LDAP-Directory. The users will be assigned to groups.
    In EP and Web AS Java its no problem to assign these groups to roles and then just change the Users in the LDAP-Group and reach a synchron usermanagement.
    In Web AS ABAP it seems impossible to assign roles to groups.
    <b>The question is, is it possible to map ldap groups with the ldap connector of the web AS ABAP to Roles in an ABAP System?</b>
    Or is there another way to administrate users in different systems?
    Thanks alot for your answers,

    Can I deselect Catalan, Croatian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, and Ukrainian languages and download only the OS with less GB?
    I tried several times but not successfull ...
    please help me to update my OS.

    Are you asking why those non-ASCII characters are printing incorrectly? It's because the console is still treating the output as ASCII. The JVM is encoding each character as two bytes according to the UTF-8 spec, but the console is treating each byte as a separate, ASCII-encoded character. Changing the locale of the OS or the "file.encoding" property of the JVM doesn't affect the behavior of the console.
    When I run your code on my WinXP machine (leaving "file.encoding" at its default setting), I get this output: // __ System.getProperty("file.encoding"): |Cp1252|
    // __ |en_US|
    // __ |225||
    // __ |233|&#920;|
    // __ |237|&#966;|
    // __ |243|&#8804;|
    // __ |250||
    // __ |252|&#8319;|
    // __ |241||
    // __ |191|&#9488;|
    // __ |161||
    // __ |251|&#8730;|
    // __ |224|&#945;|
    // __ |223|&#9600;|
    // __ |232|&#934;|
    // __ |235|&#948;| The JVM is outputting the text as cp1252, but the console is treating it as cp437, its default codepage (encoding). When I change the console's encoding with the command "CHCP 1252" and run the code again, I get: // __ System.getProperty("file.encoding"): |Cp1252|
    // __ |en_US|
    // __ |225||
    // __ |233||
    // __ |237||
    // __ |243||
    // __ |250||
    // __ |252||
    // __ |241||
    // __ |191||
    // __ |161||
    // __ |251||
    // __ |224||
    // __ |223||
    // __ |232||
    // __ |235|| I don't know if it's possible to change the encoding of the console in your OS, but that's not a showstopper. Just write the output to a file, then use a reasonably capable text editor to view the result. And there's no need to change all those OS/JVM settings; just specify the encoding when you open the file for writing: FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("out.txt");
    OutputStreamWriter osw = new OutputStreamWriter(fos, "UTF-8");

  • Basic question: Can OID map LDAP query to custom SQL query?

    Hi all,
    I have custom data in my Oracle Database and I wat to give them
    LDAP interface. Is it possible to use OID to achieve this or OID
    is for other purposes?
    To be more specific: I have schema MYSCHEMA and table
    MYSCHEMA.MYTABLE. Is it possible to configure OID to select from MYSCHEMA.MYTABLE for specific LDAP queries? And the same for update queries? Is there some OID manager console to map LDAP queries against Oracle tables and views?
    Thanx for any suggestions,
    Rob

    Rob,
    take a look at the Directory Integration Platform. We provide synchronization of data from an DB tables to OID.
    see "Synchronization with Relational Database Tables" http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_14/idmanage.1012/b14085/odip_db.htm#i1042820
    another option could be to use the OID Plugin framework together with a PLSQL procedure to access the DB data

    And we want him to be able to view the records of all the stores. So we want to be able to add the

    DVM is designed to use in English only and not intended to support Multi language. It is the job of consumer application to convert from English to native language(Chinese in your case).
