unfortunately no, it does not seem that you can compare the version of map data. strange though, i wouldn't have thought it would be that difficult to include the date of maps in the software. but alas, there is no option anywhere in Map Loader or the Maps application to view this . ohwell, i personally don't see the need to update maps until at least six months/a year in the future anyway. unless the region that you live in is constantly changing and it affects your travel habits, in which case you can see the importance. but i'm happy enough updating every six months/a year (yearly in which new version of Maps is released anyway).
personally, also i think standalone GPS units for cars such as TomTom, Navman etc are much more useful in day-to-day usage for navigation. nothing against Nokia phones, but just for convenience they are much much easier and there is the larger screen which makes things much much easier. for me, the phones are useful in Pedestrian mode or for short distance, non-complicated routes (i.e. few street directions). then again, i also use a paper street directory sometimes as well. just whatever floats your boat i guess
kudos, kudos
If you found this or someone's comments helpful or like what that person has to say, please give some Kudos to their post!

  • JDeveloper version numbers and OC4J version numbers

    Hi all,
I know that the version numbers of the Oracle application server and the OC4J plugin are the same the default, but how is that with JDeveloper compared to the OC4J version of the embedded JDeveloper application server.
Is it the same always and if not where can I find a mapping table. E.g. is for JDeveloper version 10.1.3 also the OC4J container version 10.1.3 etc.
    regards,
    Ronald

    Ronald,
yes, Oracle JDeveloper versions are in synch with OC4J and 10.1.3 JDeveloper uses OC4J 10.1.3.

  • SQL Loader and Floating Point Numbers

    Hi
I have a problem loading floating point numbers using SQL Loader. If the number has more than 8 significant digits SQL Loader rounds the number i.e. 1100000.69 becomes 1100000.7. The CTL file looks as follows
    LOAD DATA
    INFILE '../data/test.csv' "str X'0A'"
    BADFILE '../bad/test.bad'
    APPEND
    INTO TABLE test
FIELDS TERMINATED BY "," OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"'
    Amount CHAR
and the data file as follows
    "100.15 "
    "100100.57 "
    "1100000.69 "
    "-2000000.33"
    "-100000.43 "
    the table defined as follows
    CREATE TABLE test
    Amount number(15,4)
    ) TABLESPACE NNUT050M1;
after loading a select returns the following
    100.15
    100100.57
    1100000.7
    -2000000
    -100000.4
    Thanks in advance
    Russell

Actually if you format the field to display as (say) 999,999,999.99, you will see the correct numbers loaded via SQL Loader.

  • CSS and JS version control is causing issues with the Application Cache.

    Hi there,
I am creating a Web App for use on an iPad and I have been using Adobe Muse to do this.
The Web App needs to work offline for the most part so I have been using the Application Cache in HTML5 to do this. Everything is caching correctly to the iPad (Safari Browser), however, after a while, the browser is unable to retrieve the CSS and JS complonents of the site from the Application Cache. I have deduced after much mucking around, that the HTML references to the CSS and JS files have version control stuck on the end of it. This seems to work fine when online as the version number after the ? is ignored by the browser.
When the browser is accessing the CSS and JS files from the application cache, it appears to require the version control number as well. This is where the entire site falls over. It sometimes takes about a day of being offline but eventually, the CSS and JS files must be purged from the browser cache and then they are unable to be resolved from the Application Cache.
This is really annoying as I am having to go through every HTML file to remove the CSS and JS version numbers.
Does anyone know if this Muse feature can be switched off (no version controlling on JS and CSS file) or will I have to use another product such as Dreamweaver?

just to let you know, it turns out not to be the JVM (at least directly).
the real problem seems to be the order of loading specific dll's. I noticed that the only differences (other than the blow up) was that MSVCRT.dll was being loaded far earlier than without the dummy dll.
I removed the dummy dll I mentioned before, and went into the project workspace properties. I moved the .lib file for the dll that was actually pulling MSVCRT in to be first in the list, then in the driver program moved the .lib file for the new dll to be first in it's list.
    Everything worked.
I'm not sure the exact bug there, but my current thought is: The MSVCRT.dll must be loaded prior to the .NET runtime dll (MSVCRT70) or say bye-bye.

  • How to simulate version numbers like (version: 3.5.2.11.2)  - Jdev 11.1.2

    Hello:
I have to insert and update version numbers like (version: 3.5.2.11.2) and keep them in proper order. If version is stored as a string, it will not sort correctly. Is there anything like a version number data domain that sorts correctly and allows insert by adding another decimal and a number? Or any other way to accomplish this?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,
I think this forum thread may help you to implement the corresponding query for your version number in the business component: How to order IP address
Other approach could be a query like:
    select version_number from your_table order by regexp_replace(regexp_replace(version_number, '(\d+)', '00\1'), '0*(\d{3})', '\1');
Being version_number a varchar field where you store that version number in the database.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Cris

  • Map Loader and Check In apps

My 808 pureview crashed a couple of weeks ago and now both the map loader and check in apps are not working I get a system error on the Check In app and a map loader error message when I try opening that app. I've done a firmware reinstall to see if that would sort it but it hasn't. I can only conclude that the two files are corrupted. Can anyone help?if it comes to it I will uninstall the entire Maps Suite but there is nothing listed in the Uninstall Applications list to do this. Will I have to find the individual files and delete them? If so can anyone tell me where they are in the C directory?
    Thanks

Check in has been discontinued since version 3.9.95.However you can get it by searching over the net via Google search. I am using it but cant give You download links since that would be against forum rules.

  • Map does not load and screen stays partially blank

There is a link on a website that I use for work that loads a map on a new tab. That link was working fine with the previous version of Firefox. But ever since I installed the latest Firefox version available, the link leads to a new tab with partial information but the map does not load and the area where it was supposed to load stays blank. Refreshing the page does not solve the situation.

if you are using mapquest -- i had the same problem. i simply reinstalled firefox 3.6 and uninstalled version 4.0. the popup function was restored.

  • How can i get the map version in OVI?

In map loader,we can see the map version in the left of the bottom of the interface.
But,how can i get the version in my phone in OVI Suite map?
my phone is E72,ovi suite is the lastest.

Hi think, currently you can check, what map data files there's in your device by browsing device in Nokia Ovi Suite. Just click arrow on top of the phone icon and check what map data files there's in the device.
Unfortunately, we don't have yet functionality to show, what version maps there's in device.

  • Map Version 0.1.24.114...

... is what I see when I go to: Maps > ? > About - on my phone. (Maps 3.04)
Is this the Maps app version or the Maps data version?
(If it is for the app where do I find the data version number?)
How often is the Maps data updated? Is there a regular cycle?
How will I know when my Maps data is out of date?
How will I know when my Maps app is out of date?

I did not follow that suggestion. On my phone, in Maps, Options, Support, About I can find that display, but how can that apply to all of the different state or country maps that may have been downloaded at different dates and so must be of different version numbers?
And using the Ovi Suite I can not find any reference to the version numbers of the maps now available for new downloads.
Having experience with Garmin, TomTom, etc., and where each map has a version number and where the server version numbers are also clearly visible, this Nokia or Ovi system seems to be a total mess.  Or did I get something wrong?
    Thanks,
    Tony

  • New Ovi Maps: version 0.1.24.114 are out (!)

For those interested, I just noticed Nokia have just released new maps version 0.1.24.114
Prior to this they offered version 0.1.23.112
For those waiting on new maps, now is your chance to grab them and see if they offer improvements in what you are looking for.
I happened to notice the new version while loading Map Loader just prior to writing this.
Contrary to what I thought, it seems Map Loader reports the version of maps that are on the server and not the version of maps already on your phone.
    Anyway, enjoy the new maps.
I haven't even downloaded mine but will soon

    Maps confirmed working.
All maps are from Nokia's official Gate5 server(s).
    Main geographic regions listed below.
I'll fill requests for the much smaller individual countries later on.

Remember, you can always try to download your new maps with Nokia Map Loader / Maps Updater / Ovi Suite, too. The links above are only for those people that prefer to do it manually and/or can't get Nokia's software to work.
You will need version 3 of the Nokia Ovi Maps application installed on your phone (3.01 or 3.03 or similar).
If you have trouble getting it from Nokia, some of my previous posts have links to the map application.
If you want to start fresh with new maps, deleting the qf file on the (root of) your memory card along with the Cities folder is the recommended way. Running the Nokia Ovi Maps application once on your phone will then re-build the Cities folder and the qf file, ready for your new maps.
You will need to attach your phone to the computer in Mass Storage mode to extract & copy these files across. Most of these are large files (especially Europe and America), so it's only recommended for those that want major geographic regions (or the whole world on their phone). 8GB or more storage is preferred if you want all the countries that Nokia offer on your phone.
    Enjoy Nokia's new maps.

I prefer to download this way and connect the MicroSD card to a much faster card reader rather than wait for Nokia's slow and buggy software with phone connected.
It might be an idea to delete your QF and Cities folder (and then run the Maps application once on your phone so it can re-build a clean QF and Cities folder structure) before putting the new map on. Alternatively, you can just tell Map Loader to delete what's on your storage and get it to download the latest map for you. Version number should be listed on the bottom of Map Loader.

  • Mapping Versions/History in Integration Repository

We are running PI7.0 - SP10....  A highly suspect version with some ropey patches supplied by SAP!
We have imported a Mapping version into our XIT system that does not work, however, our XID system is about to be either restored or upgraded due to some "Beta testing" we have been doing on an SAP Note - SAP are helping us much as possible as it was their "fix" that caused the problem!
However, we need to carry on testing, and I am trying to restore the mapping in XIT.    There is an option for Mapping Version - under Message Mapping - History.
You can use this to Open an older version.  However, we would like to revert to this older version to enable the user acceptance testing.
Is this possible?  When I close the window, it reverts back to the most recent version.

    Barry,
If you open the history version and go to change mode, the system asks you whether you want to use this version as the current. Select 'Yes', make a change to the message mapping (the descrion, for instance) and save and acitvate the mapping.
    Kind regards,

  • What is the latest Ovi maps version for E72?

According to maps application I have:
    c3.04 10wk17 bo7 MW OpenGl LM MN
    Map Version 0.1.25.114
is that the newest for this phone?
    Solved!

i hope this is not off topic, but i have a similar problem with map versions, but slightly different circumstances.
    i have firmware 051.018, with ovi maps v3.04 10wk32 b03 and map version 0.1.24.114
i want to upgrade the firmware to the newer v071.004 with ovi map v3.04_10wk32_b04 (or so you say).
my question is this. does firmware v071.004 come with ovi map v3.04_10wk32_b0, and does it require maps version 0.1.25?
if so it'll really suck to upgrade the firmware for me and i probably won't do it because i downloaded offline maps for the whole world (like 8 gigs) from a mirror site and have been happily prancing about the globe on my e72 for sometime now. my e72 has almost become more of a gps map device than a phone. honestly i would rather buy another nokia with updated maps than give up my precious world map on the old firmware.
    should i upgrade or not?
so, coincidentally, i am also very interested in finding out the newest version of ovi maps to be included in the 070 firmware.
thank you and i hope this wasn't too much of a curveball.
