Reddy,
if you are having an issue with the map loader you can do the following:
a) Choose Activities > Maps and add a map record
b) Click Export to Excel and save the excel file generated
c) Add your new mappings to the export file with the proper location id and dimension values (Clear the datakey field)
d) Update the ups named range to include the new rows
e) Re-import the file.

  • N96 Nokia Maps Loader Issue

    Hi All,
I just updated my phone firmware.
I make it a habit to format the mass memory and the phone memory.
The problem now is after I have restored all my files and recreated the settings, I cannot make the Maps to load.
I encounter this error message "Error while loading catalog to drive E: at Nokia N96"
The only option is to click the check mark, after I click it nothing happens.
Have anybody experienced this or anybody knows a solution?
I have already checked the cities folder and it is recreated already. But still same issue.
Is this related to the new firmware?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have managed to solve it.
When you format the phone memory the license manager which is used by Nokia Maps gets deleted.
In order to get it back you have to download the Nokia Map for your country and install it again to the phone.
After the installation. Delete the cities folder if there is one and then run the Nokia Map.
You can now use the Map loader and install the language you want.
That means that the maps loader is useless if you have deleted the license manager.

  • Map Loader issue

    Hi,
Can any of you please let me know how to use the map loader option in FDM. I think, I'm missing some thing during the process. In the map loader template, I have the location name, location ID, filled the source column, source description column, target column and filled the sign column. when I'm importing this file, I get a error message. BTW I'm uploading this map loader.xls file from Map->Upload file option. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Map downloading issue

I notice that Nokia Support site mentioned that we can downloading Map easily via Nokia suite, but somehow there is an issue... I can only download the Map application ie Map loader and etc..  If I need to the Map, I need to use the Map Loader to Add Map via OTA or WIFI... but I cant use Nokia suite to add Map at all.. When I use Update software, I dont see any new map to be updated...  Is there a way to use the Nokia Suite to update the Map?

What is your Device and the Maps version installed on it ? Depending upon these ...when the phone is connected to PC.. In Nokia suite -->Maps you should see the list of available maps when the server gets connected. Then select the Maps / Voice Guidance files you want and select Download...

  • N97 and Realplayer probelms + Maps loader

    Hi Guys,
I have done a very unproductive google search and come up none the wiser so hoping someone here can shed some light.
I transfer video's to my N97 in mass media mode - I originally put them in sounds folder (copied all my itunes library there) and then moved them to the video folder (and music to music) however I can play them via file manager but they do not appear in realplayers list of video clips - and I can't get it to refresh the list - I have turned phone on and off multiple times, been through all the options but none show refresh.
I have added more films and some show in clips but others don't?
I have also updated to maps 3.1 and trying to use map loader to pre-load maps of the UK and Europe onto the phone - map loader on Ovi Suite always gives me a message saying either unable to find the drive (Maps open before and checked it has saved some map info) or it connects, downloads, starts to install and then tells me there is no space to install - when before its telling me I have 20GB free and its taking up less than 2GB??? I have set the slider for amount of space maps can take to 90%.
Anyone able to help me out here?
    Regards
    Alex

Hi Alex, I had a similar issue with the built in video app, but I've figured out how to get my player to load the new videos in the list, don't know if this would help you.
I noticed I have 2 files with the same file name (but different file extension) one is a .mp4 and one is .flv, seems like the video player is confused when this happens, it even ignores all other files from that point onwards.
As you might have guessed, after i renamed the 2 identically named files my videos showed up correctly.
    Hope this helps!

  • Map Loader error while loading catalogue

XM 5800, latest firmware, Maps 3 installed and working OK. I get "Error while loading catalogue for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic" whenever I start Map Loader 3.
Uninstalled/reinstalled Map Loader 3 several times.
Tried suggested fixes of deleting qf and cities folder then running Maps to recreate file structure.
Tried it on a Windows 7 PC with PC Suite and also a Vista PC with Ovi Suite. Same error message.
I am left without the ability to download any maps except over the air as I go incurring data charges.
So I may as well just use Google maps!
I see in the discussion groups this issue comes up for many different Nokia phones occasionally but I have never seen a solution.
    Anyone?

Just when I thought Nokia Care technical support knew what they were doing!!!!
About 4pm NZ time yesterday, after the Map Loader server had been working for about 3 to 4 hours and everything was fine. I got a call from Nokia tech support. I was on the other line so they left a message.
"Sorry, its not going to work because map loader is not completely compatible with Windows 7"
and my email support thread finally pointed me to a "Solution" discussion board entry detailing a fix for Maps 2. You had to download the latest version of Map Loader 2.02!!!!! That was really helpful considering we are on 3.03 and 3.0.28 respectively
So it all stating to work again may have just been coincidence and nothing to do with our support calls! :-<
Oh well at least its working. Now all I have to fix is the MTP USB Device driver failing.
    Cheers

  • "WAITING FOR DEVICE" problem for Map Loader 2.0.2

i'm sure many have had that problem, but doing a search on topics doesn't seem to produce an answer. if you have resolved that issue please post again your solution here
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Open Nokia Map application, go online whether through through your wireless network if your phone is equipped with or through your ordinary 3G or paid internet connection, downloading of very small amount of Data as about 300 KB is enough to "stamp" your memory card with identification file called QF file then the the solution is simply the following:
If your phone is hacked or you are able to access the following on your memory card:
    (Memory Card drive):\private\20001f63\diskcache
copy the file named QF from the above folder and install it on the root of your memory drive.
The excute Map loader (doesn't make difference whether PC suite or Data transfer) it will be identified and then you can download whatever Map you want.

  • The dreaded map loader error

    Hi,
I've just gotten a new N95 8GB and am trying to download some maps to my phone. I have run the maps application on the phone and successfully connected the phone via USB in data transfer mode. The problem is I am getting the following error:
"An unexpected error occurred. Try again. Sorry for the inconvenience."
I've searched everywhere for a solution but without any luck. Sompe people reported proxy/firewall issues but I am running from a home connection and even moved my PC coonected to my phone into the DMZ without luck.
Has anyone been able to solve this problem or should I give up and keep what is left of my hair on my head?
    grantonstar

I've been trying to get the maps via Nokia Map Loader 1.2.1. I just installed .net framework 3.0 and reinstalled with no luck either.
I've been using it with my home wifi connection but I want to be able to download a whole country so the map data is there for when I go out. Unless there is a way to pre-get a region or country direct from the phone?

  • Map Loader question

    Hi
I have a few questions about how to update maps and voice guidance data on my phone.
I have US maps installed on my phone.
Let's say they come out with an updated version of the US maps.
How will Maps Loader (s/w installed on my PC) know of the update?  Does the Maps Loader software on my computer automatically check for updates? I don't see any option for this.
Ok, let's say somehow I get the updated maps on my computer.
I understand that I need to use Maps Loader application on my PC to load the latest map data on my phone.
When I try to do that, why doesn't Maps Loader application show that I have a version installed already? When I open the Maps Loader app, it just shows what you decide to add on in the 'Selection' pane. Is there no good way of knowing what version of the country map you are loading or the version that is installed?
Also, is there a way to specify a name of a contact in your contact book instead of having to type out the whole address for the contact?
I have tried typing the name of the contact, but it doesn't like it.
    Thanks in advance,
    KG

    Yes that absolutely sucks.
So I would have to go through the exercise of deleting old maps data, downloading new maps data and re-installing this to potentially have the same version installed (if there was no update)..!
This and the following 2 issues are making me hate s60:
-not being able to snooze alarm, calendar reminders etc. when keyguard lock is enabled.
-not being able to get driving directions by contact..., so if i have to look up directions to a contact's address, i have to first goto contacts, pull up the contact, lookup his address, remember it and then type the address in Ovi maps!
Also, i have found that if i enable to key lock with a speficied lock code say 4 digit lock code, when i try to unlock the phone with the lock code, it NEVER recognizes the very first digit press, so I actually have to key in 5 digits for a 4 digit lock code...! **bleep**!
And I don't know about other S60 phones, but at least on my Nokia 5230, the built in email client only has 'Download Headers only' option, not the full message...., so once the headers are downloaded, I have to click on the email and then it pauses for a good 5-6 seconds while it is actually downloading the content of the email...., and then another second or two to open the email.......!
Oh and not to mention, I installed Ovi Suite first on my PC, it wouldn't even sync Calendar and Tasks with my Outlook. I had to read/research and figure out on my own that this is a known issue with Ovi Suite! I had to remove Ovi Suite and install PC Suite and now it works...fantastic work Nokia!
Seriously, this is a popular platform? I fail to see why...

  • Map Loader Bug Re. Lost Internet Connection

Don't really know how to alert the programmers behind the Map Loader software to a fairly major software bug.
If the internet connection is - even very briefly - interrupted for even a second, the Map Loader software gives an error message.
BUT - big problem - the map selection CLEARS so you can't resume from where you left. Nor can you see which maps had successfully downloaded while the connection was active, so you have to download the WHOLE list again.
Please update for the next release.

    D-Park,
    Welcome to the HP Forum.
If you were using MAC filtering on your router, you would know how to fix this.    If you do not know what it is, you do have have MAC filtering enabled on the router -- or you are not the router administrator.   So -- don't worry about MAC filtering or go find the router administrator and ask to be let in (you will need the MAC address of the printer -- get a print out of the network page from the printer).

    Loss of network connection
Ordinarily I would suggest you reinstall the Full Feature Software for the printer because the installation can resolve a variety of ills associated with a disconnected wireless printer.
Install Full Feature Software - Printer
You did say the printer lost Internet connection -- this is a bit different from losing connection from your home network.  You seem to be implying that your printer has lost its ePrint connection without actually saying you have lost ePrint.
The following document can help with both a disconnected wireless printer that is not cooperating -- even after you have tried reinstalling the Full Feature Software, for example -- and the document has a link to the ePrint Help and Tips documents that might help you if the issue is just one of ePrint and an Internet connection having to do with the printer and its connection to that service.

  • Map Loader Can't Load maps to 5230 on Mac OSX

When I start Nokia Map Loader application for dowloading maps on Nokia 5230 I get an error message saying :
The following errors occured while transferring files. If the error is not permanent, you can try starting the file transfers again.
config.cfg file couldn't been found. operation forbidden
config.cfg file couldn't been found. operation forbidden
I can't download maps on the phone because the region list is empty (it is not supposed to be).
This happens every time I try to use the Map Loader. There are screenshots of the same problem on another forum: http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/nokia-map-loader-fo r-mac/bugreport/configcfg-operation-forbidden
    Operating system is Mac OSX
    Thank you for your help.

Hi all my experience with map loader is similar and I'm hoping for dramatic improvements to enable me to successfully load maps to my 5800MX,  apols for the length of my post but I have just spent 12 hours trying to get MAP loader to work and have found and fixed a number of issues that I hope will help some people,  I have also found a no of shortcomings in the software and am hoping for Nokia to take note and apply some fixes.
    1. I got rid of the config.cfg error message by loading maps on my phone and changing the memory card location to drive E:  I then waited for a satellite connection and found location,  then connected to my MacAir running 10.6.4 OSX.  Prior to running maps on my 5800 I had the config.cfg errors.
    2. BEWARE that if you are connecting a phone that has not been synced using nokia  MMT before or one that was previously synced but had the music etc deleted (like my 5800 because I formatted the memory card) then initially the NMMT symbol flashes as if it is working,  BUT shortly after it will remain static and then the color wheel will appear when you float the mouse over the NMMT icon,  this can give the impression of a complete software lock upand in my case only after 2 forced quits and reboots not altering things I  decided to leave the MAC in this state  ,  low and behold some 40mins later NMMT started showing a status of music and photo transfer .  SO NOKIA please fix this your software appears to be totally hung but it is merely working so something needs resolution in my view as there really is no indication that the software is running and in "force quit" the software shows as not responding.
    3. MAP LOADER, - initially upon loading map loader it reported "phone cannot have maps or is not compatible" however this was because my default memory card (on the 5800 maps, settings ,maps, menu) was C: and I had not actually re-run maps after formatting my memory card (see note 1 and 2) . Changing the default memory location in maps on the phone to E: allowed map loader to run.  Then I had an issue that the map regions were not showing in the left column,  the software simply showed nothing and I had nothing to drag into my phone for upload.  This was resolved by getting a faster internet connection.  Internet Speed and Reliability - Now (still not resolved)  I have a faster internet connection I have loaded MAP loader and have dragged all of the relevant maps to the right.  I click on upload/download maps and the software stars the download process but takes an eternity to download maps,  last night I left the software for 7 hours and still no maps were downloaded,  In addition to this I have to leave my phone connected to my MACAIR the whole time I am attempting to download,  so I can't even download maps from nokia and upload them to my phone at a later date. I think this is due to my internet connection speed but I am using bittorrent to frequently download torrents which works fine so it cannot be that bad.  So MY REQUEST to NOKIA software development for MAP LOADER is can we please have some software that is designed to run on an internet connection that is less than 500K (it looks like you developed it on a 1GB LAN connection).  IE why do I have to connect my phone  for MAP loader to start in the first place  OR  Can't you put an option in the SW to allow the Nokia phone to be disconnected after downloading commences (ie if this is a licensing issue) so I can freely use my phone whilst maps are downloaded on my MACBOOK when Im not in the office  ?  Could you employ a capability like bittorrent in the downloader so we can download in portions when we have access to the internet  ?  Why is your MAP loader so slow ?  IE I happily download 100M updates to MACOSX and ITUNES over these internet connections but MAP LOADER just WONT WORK, OR works so slowly and cannot recover from slow internet connection states that it is unusable ?
    4. As I have a MACAIR I only have one USB port so was hoping to connect my 5800 with Bluetooth so I can run maploader whist I am connected to my USB mobile internet.  Unfortunately I was unable to get the MAP loader to recognize my 5800 via bluetooth ,  I loaded the software , chose use bluetooth and it continually searched with no connection found.  This is despite me having the devices paired,  I have used bluetooth connections for both isnc (calendar and contacts sync works fine) and for NMMT. NMMT recognized the 5800 bluetooth connection in the dropdown menu but MAP LOADER completely failed to recognize it.  NOKIA please allow a BT connection with the nokia 5800 so I can run this combination,  OR simply allow me to disconnect my phone whilst I am on the internet downloading my maps,  then once maps are on my local MACdrive I can just disconnect from the internet and uploads maps to my phone.
That's it, in short MAP Loader for MACOSX 10.6.4 seems unworkable in its current form unless your connected to an 8M internet connection or the Nokia development LAN.   Please fix ASAP

  • Mac Map Loader ceased to work

    Hello,
My computer is a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.5.8 with the latest versions of Multimedia Transfer and Map Loader installed. A few weeks ago, after an upgrade of the Maps app on my 5800, Map Loader told me I needed to upgrade my maps, and started to do it. It managed to delete all the existing map data on the phone but never managed to install any, after going through the entire process of downloading and trying to install.
I didn't do anything about it because I was due a phone upgrade anyway - now I'm using anN8 but rather than the issue being fixed, as I expected, it is still the case. The Map Loader tells me my current data is out of date (despite its consisting entirely of data downloaded in the last day since I had the phone) but fails even to finish the tediously long process of deleting it, much less installing new maps.
I really like the Maps app. Being able to pre-install maps over my home network before I go abroad is one of the major reasons I opted to stick with Nokia!
Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Ben

  • SAP Mobile Sales 2.0 delta load issue for Sales Orders

    Hello,
we have used Mobile Sales 2.0 with a Windows app for a while now. Our current issue is that sales reps won't see any historical sales order data on their devices.
    Background
Due customer requirements, we need to make small changes to customer master data attributes and reload all customers from ERP to CRM. Then we ran delta loads (MAS_PARTNER followed by all other objects) to DOE, in which virtually all 5000+ customer accounts were compared. The delta load ran for about 3 days (some performance bottleneck we haven't located yet).
During the delta load, data on devices was inconsistent. Accounts were missing and all transaction data disappeared. After the delta loads, all accounts and contacts are OK, save for a few. Data from activities (appointments, tasks) have reappeared, as they should. Only sales orders won't reappear. The sales orders exist in the backend and belong to active accounts and sales reps.
    Settings and troubleshooting so far
We don't have any limitations for sales orders in CRM Sales Mobile configuration.
We've run delta loads for all objects in transaction SDOE_LOAD.
    MAS_CUSTOMIZATION etc seem fine.
We've re-run initial load for sales orders from CRM.
In the test system, we've even reinitialized the whole CDS database on DOE and on the devices, then re-ran the loads.
    Checked steps suggested in discussion
SAP CRM 2.0 initial load issue
Historical sales orders (those created before the master data reload) exist in the backend, but don't show up on the device.
If I change one of those historical sales orders in the backend, it gets sent to the device.
If I create a new sales order in the backend or on the device, it is saved and replicated just fine.
To sum it up, it seems DOE is unable to identify the sales orders relevant for replication.

First Doubt i got clarify by my self as we can go with Unwired Runtime option .
But i still have doubt in :
    2. How can i Modifying the Main Menu for iOS.
i am able to customize the same for windows using files SybaseCRM.Configuration.xml file.
Same how can i do for iphone/ipad.
