Mapping Deployment Has Error: Duplicate Database Link Exists

Hi everyone,
This is hopefully a simple question. I've been working with OWB 10GR2 for awhile now with no problems. My project finished and I moved on to another OWB environment, still 10GR2 and now my mapping deployments are having errors during the deployment. Each time I try to deploy the mapping, OWB also tries to create the database link, regardless of the fact that it already exists. It fails to deploy the database link but the mapping successfully deploys nonetheless. If I drop the database link and then deploy a mapping there is no error but then if I deploy a second mapping it comes back again (no real surprise here).
I tried to deploy the connector by setting it to "replace" and hit deploy. That was fine, but according to, OWB,even though I just replaced the exisiting DB link, it still didn't see that it was created. OWB still considered this connector as "New".
Does anyone know what I need to do to get OWB to stop trying to deploy the DB link with every mapping? How can I tell it that the DB link exists and is correct?

I experienced same issue a few days ago ... I'll tell you how I solved it.
I think the real problem is that the link gets never marked as deployed => so, it's deployed with every single mapping which is using it!
You can even try to deploy it on its own, and deploying process ends with no errors, but it is not marked as deployed ...
Why can't the link be marked as deployed? Where does the db_link come from?
The link is pointing to a location where you dragged from a table (or any object) to your mapping.
In my case, the location was first created and registered by another user before starting project development (with a new user).
I unregistered the location with the original user and registered it again with my user, than I could deploy it and got it marked accordingly.
It's never again apperead within my mapping deployments.

Google map does not recognize coordinates in links

When touching a google map link such as
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=37.749420,-121.958588
in any iphone application it correctly launches the google map application but does not recognize the coordinates. The very same link works correctly in pc based google maps. This looks like a major flaw which prevents using location links in iphone, yet I am surprised I did not find any discussion about this issue.

Well, it appears to be a bug in the Google Maps App. I tried your URL and got a map of the Indian Ocean. However, zooming the map as big as I could, I found a red pin in San Ramon, CA. It looks like the coordinates are located accurately, but the map is not centering on those coordinates.

Deploying a mapping creates a database link

I have one mapping where everytime I deployed a mapping it always creates a database link. How do I remove this and how did this happen?

Is the problem that you expect a local reference like SCOTT.EMP rather than SCOTT.EMP@DBLINK? Check the source and target locations for the tables in your mapping, check that the locations are defined identical in the host:port:service name? Did you define them with H:P:S? May be one has localhost the other a machine name or something.

Adding a Map link over an image with a Z Index setting

I have to add a map invisible link to a spot over an image on a page. If I look in the css file it is as follows

    z-index: 143;
    position: relative;
    width: 253px;
    margin-right: -253px;
The map must go over the image that covers this area. When I add the map I do not see the link. I would think this has to do with the Z Index how can I get the map to be on the top level without changing the Z Index or can I ?

the image on the bottom right of the Clarence major needs to have a hotspot on top of that so when clicked it links back to the index. I will not need it on this page but if you click thru the links you will see what I mean.

Hand Free Link when in Maps

When I get in my Honda accord and my iphone 6 links up via bluetooth, then use maps, it always defaults to giving map directions via the hands free link (honda speaker system). Each time I start a map I can click on microphone and tell it to use iphone rather than hands free link. Is there a way that I can set things up so that it always defaults to iphone? Also when I use google maps, I would also like it to use iphone for audio. Can't find out how to change this in google maps.
Also, is google maps more reliable than the iphone maps?

Just as a side question:
Have you ever loaded a tracklog containing different tracks belonging to more than 1 month?

Creating multiple links from one map image in Flash CS4

I have been tasked with creating multiple links from one map image using flash. Each link would go to the main website page with that location. I assume I could create a button for each location on the map but not having a lot of experience any help / tutorial you know of would be super helpful.. Thanks! If I was to answer the problem, I would be giving you what you asked not to be given... the solution. So I'll suggest that you start by researching the getURL() function. That is what AS2 uses for opening web pages.
As for coding a button, I'll recommend the following article for you... it will explain the proper approach to coding a button, which will give you an advantage over others who don't follow it, but instead use the way the article says not to.

Google is one of the best resources available for learning how to do things with Flash--it's the first place I go when I have a wondering. In general, if you type in the right keywords, you get fairly good search results. In your case, combinations of "AS2", "button", "getURL", "tutorial" would probably work well.

Creating Connector series in a map chart using anymap

I am trying to create a series type of connector on the map region. I can create 2 points and a line connecting them using map series type of line.
Then I can attach data to those points using custom xml. However, attached data is assoiciated with points on the map. Anychart has a series
type called "connector" which creates a connection between multiple points. If I try to change series type from "Line" to "connector", Map comes up
blank. I think the problem is that Apex does not recognize the series type "connector". Does anyone have a work around to attach data to the line rather them points.

Create a formula field and store the parameter there.
Now put this formula field in "On change of" in the Chart expert.
e.g. I have a parmeter on country and I have a chart which shows the last year sales year wise for the countries.
I create a formula field and put the below formula:
stringvar x = {?countryparameter};
Now i put this formula field in On change of so when i run the report i select the required country.

Config. 2500 series for T1 link

How do I configure (2) 2500 series routers for a T1 link. I have a 3750 at the core and the necessary cards for the 2500's. The 2500's are currently set up for bridging but I want to route instead. Are there any sample configs that I can look to? Thank you.

Do you have MFT cards for your T1 or you will be using a T1 coverter. For both the options there is a different config.
If you have MFT card like , VWIC-2MFT-T1
Then, first you have to define the controllers T1 configuration and then configure the serial interface. An example would be :
router(config)#conrollers T1 0/0
(assuming the card is in 0 slot.)
router(config-if)#Channel-group 0 timeslots 1-23
router(config-if)#framing ESF
router(config-if)#linecode B8ZS
After configruing the T1 controllers, you configure the coresponding serial interface.
router(config)#int serial 0/0:0
router(config-if)#Ip address x.x.x.1 y.y.y.0
Do the same settings on the other side, you are ggod to go.
Please check the framing and line coding settings from you ISP as well.

How can I save to the same map every time when printing pdfs?
Finder points to the document map even when I chose a different map recently.
I often print series of pdfs from the print dialog box, I'd like to choose the map to save to and then have all subsequent pdf prints automatically directed to the same map until I decide otherwise.

Values not showing up for 3 digit zip code maps of states

I've been tinkering with an app that displays the US, with a query that shows how many folks we have in each state. The link takes you to a page that displays the state/zip code style map. On the map of the US, I can see the label and the value from the query for all states. But in the state map, all that shows up are the labels. I have the map set to show values, but they won't display.
I'm using APEX 4.0.1 in a 10.2.0.4 database running on Windows.
Any thoughts?

The Map Region columns (i.e. REGION_NAME, REGION_ID, etc) can vary for each Map source .amap file. So it's definitely worth referencing the AnyChart Map Reference Information when you're adding your map series query, to ensure that your query is referencing data that's actually contained in your chosen .amap file.
By default, the wizard will set the "Map Region Column" to REGION_NAME, as this the default AnyChart column. However, some maps, like the US State Zipcode maps, don't actually have a REGION_NAME column in their data, which is why you would need to update the "Map Region Column" on the Map Attributes page to your chosen column e.g. REGION_ID. In the case of the US State Zipcode maps, the available columns are REGION_ID, CENTROID_X and CENTROID_Y, as shown in this example: http://anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/users-guide/map_reference/United-States-of-America-3-digit-ZIP-Code-Maps-for-All-50-States-Alabama-Flash-Map.html?fromtree. You may not be aware of this, but when stepping through the Create Map wizard, on the 'Query' page, there's a Show/Hide region called "Map Region Information", which displays the AnyChart information associated with your selected map.

Nokia maps 1.0 - india maps, Maharashtra and Goa

Hi all,
I want to download india maps and specifically maps of Maharashtra and Goa. I bought a Nokia C2-03 (dual-sim) recently and have been trying to download maps via Nokia Ovi Suite 3.1.1.90 but it has been a failure.
The device itself does not have much memory but do have a memory card. Does anybody know how :-
a. I can download and install the Maharashtra and Goa map in the memory card ?
b. A link from where I can download the map. I did see this link given /t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/Maps-Data-File-size-discrepancy/m-p/1166517/message-uid/1166517/highligh... but unfortunately it seems for a different version of Nokia maps .
c. Am I correct in assuming its Nokia maps 1.0 . This I came to know via Menu > Maps > Options > About where it says Maps 1.0 www.nokia.com/maps/support

Welcome to the forum!
Unfortunately S40 devices use Nokia Maps 1.0 for which available mapping is a lot less detailed; presumably you have inserted memory card and opened Nokia Maps application at least once upon your C2-03 to initialise application? At this point Ovi Suite > Maps should recognise memory card and offer you maps to download but not always so.
That said Series 40 Ovi Maps 2.1 is variable in implementation and if device supplied with local maps installed upon memory card there doesn't seem an issue adding more maps but real issues if no maps with it sometimes.
