Map Viewer in Obiee 11G

I need to install map viewer in obiee 11g to show maps in dashboards. I have no idea about this, can any one help me.

Customize Filter View in OBIEE 11g

Hi,
Is there any way to customize the filter view? My requirement is not to show formulas that are used in Analysis in the “Filter view”. All analysis that we create should go with Filter Views at the bottom and Users should not see the formulas.
Example:
Column Formula:
FILTER (sales.sales USING products.product =’Electronics’)
If I filter the above column, it shows something like this:
FILTER (sales.sales USING products.product =’Electronics’) is Prompted.
What is need to show in the filters is the Title of the column i.e. Electronics Sales.

How to hide % measure column Grand Total value in Pivot View in obiee 11g?

Hi ,
I am facing a issue in obiee 11g .I am using a Pivot table to display the grand total of 3 metric columns eg: A , B, C out of which B is percentage so I need to remove the grand total value of the percentage column. We have to stick to Pivot View only. Anyone can sugest me on this?

Move B to rows section or cast to char in Criteria tab by keeping the B in Measures section only.

Need to eliminate Space between two Pivot table view in OBIEE 11g

Hi,
I have a requirement to eliminate space between two pivot table views. In a single report I have two Pivot table with two different column, I placed both of them one after another, but I need to eliminate the space between two pivot table views as if it should show as a single pivot table in OBIEE 11g.
Could anyone please let me know how I can do this in OBIEE 11g?

If I create narrative view it will be another view. And if I put that in between that two pivot view, it will show the space. I need to remove space between two pivot table within a single report so that it can appear as a single pivot view.

Selecting data source in physical view in OBIEE 11G when using sql server

Yes can. either you can select as SQL 2005 or ODBC basic also can
I hope your version less than obiee11.1.1.5.0, version 11.1.1.1.6.0 and above has update SQL 2008 in the data source selection list.

Unable to do Grand Total in Pivot table view in OBIEE 11g

Hello Experts,
I am totaly new for OBIEE 11g
I have created a report and wanted to do row wise total. Simple grand total in OBIEE 11.1.1.5 version. While doing the summation 'After'. I am getting a Window internet explorer Pop-up Saying the following.
"Are you sure you want to nevigate away from this page?
The changes that u made on this object has not been saved. Click cancel to return to the editor where u can save the object.
Press OK to continue or cancel to return to the page".
I tried both option, but non of the options are working.
Please provide me a solution on priority because client is on head.

Hi,
Its Permissions issue.can u please try to do it outside local mechine(just open IE8 then call the server url from outside ). i hope u tried inside server pc its limited permissions for logged in users thats why its not allowing to do edit the anaysis report.
let say u have DEV/UAT servers the application installed with some other users (admin group user or power user) while u r accessing and doing devalopment better to use outside browers .
Note: i have also faced same issues (IE8 browser security level permission in win 2008 server).solution u can just try to access the url from outside server.

Customizing Graph View in OBIEE 11G

Hi!
I am using OBIEE 11.1.1.6. In line graph data labels in graph view are coming on the line so some values are not readable, we have to show values always
How can we move the data labels above the line or below the line. I understand its differnt then in 10g where we use corda engie for graph & with help of PCXML file in POPBIN
we could customize the graph view. what is equivalent of POPBIN or PCXML file in 11g

how can we get that date range in the title view.

For repository variables:

Try this syntax in the title view it should work.

Hide the table view in OBIEE 11g

Hi All,
The requirement is to hide the table view and display only the export link on the Dashboard. This could be achieved in 10g by inserting display:none CSS style in each column property. Tried the same in 11.1.1.3, the data is hidden but it still shows empty cells on the screen. Any thoughts?

OBIEE 11g Title view Image position

Hi All,
Is there any way to change the position of image in title view in OBIEE 11g.By, default the image is coming on the left side..In my report i wanna display on the right side..

In order to achieve this, you will need a custom skin (you can modify the original file, but I would not suggest to do this!).
The controlling file for the GUI rendering with regards to the title view is in the msgdb. It's the /messages/standardviewtemplates.xml. Again: please follow the process to create a custom skin and put the modified standardviewtemplates.xml there.

Basically you switch around the order of Logo -> Title -> Help to Title -> Help -> Logo. This way you know what happens in the doce above and make it Title -> Logo -> Help if you want.
These changes are application-wide wherever the custom skin is used (or just applciation-wide full stop if you modify the original file).

Strange Error in OBIEE 11g

Hi Friends,
Currently, i was working in mapping feature in obiee 11g. For that i have added
<li>Necessary <spatial tags> in instanceconfig.xml file.
<li>Created a new datasource in the mapviewer and brought it to the online.
<li> After that i went into analytics page and under the Administration tab--->Manage Map Data-->Import Layers
<li> Soon after pressing it an import layers dialog box has to open, but instead of it for me the following error is occurring
There was an error with the server CallBecause of that, it is not allowing me to select layers. what may be the problem over here.

View maps on OBIEE 11g Dashboard

Hi All,
My Installation: I have OBIEE 11g installed on Windows Server 2008. My Database is SQL Server 2012.
My Requirement: Display maps in OBIEE Dashboard.
Firstly, from the various posts available online, I have understood that the OBIEE 11g MapViewer works ONLY with Oracle database. If this is true then I need another way to view maps because I don't have Oracle DB.
Can I have Google maps on my OBIEE dashboard ?
Any suggestions/advice will be highly appreciated.
