Map Zones and Regions to the PSAs

Dear Experts
Request your advice on the below query.
My requirement is to map zone and region against the PSAs.
In our current setting PA is name of the company.
PSA is the geographic location - Now I want to maintain further indicators as Zone and Region for each PSA.
Is there a standard solution available.
Regards
Sanjay.

Hi,
You already taken company as Personnel Area & Geographic location as Personnel Sub area.
As further division of personnel sub area is not possible. You can do so in organisational management level.
In order to link the org units to P.A u need to add new fields in organisational assignment infotype.
You can control authorizations through structural authorisations.
Cheers

  • Zone and region fields ???

    Hi all,
I am preparing a report for the salary of the employee, based on selection screen parameters (Org. Unit) -pa0001-orgeh.
    Zone , and Region
But can someone tell where are these fields zone and region stored in the database???
LIke if we see pp61, and click on f4 help for the org. unit, then it shows a hierarchy, firstly is the zone and its corresponding id(orgeh) and then the region and its corressponding id(orgeh) and then the branch and its id(pa0001-orgeh).
    Hope you understood my query.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Tarun

Why do we require the reverse relation of rsign type 'A', what is the use of that?
So that all HR objects are linked in both way... depending on your reporting need you could start looking at org. structure from the bottom (e.g. from employee point of view) or top (Org. unit point of view)....
E.g, if you want to find the position of a given employee, better use the relation P->S (bottom up) than O->S->P (top bottom)since positon is not known...
What is sclas in hrp1001 field for??? Should it be 'O' for all, shall I use all these 6 fields, in the select query , if i chose to solve my problem by select queries???
Well why not just looking at his description ("Type of related object")....
Object O can be linked to another object O (then OTYPE = "O" and sclas = "O") -> this is the case of your zone/region...
But object O can be linked to an object S (position) (so OTYPE = "O" and SCLAS = "S") ....
    to summary:
    - SCLAS has the same meaning than OTYPE but for the linked object
    - SOBID has the same meaning that OBJID but for the linked object
Let's say you want to check if relation exists between zone and region:
    SELECT count(*) FROM HRP1001
    WHERE OTYPE = 'O'
         AND OBJID = ID(Region)
         AND PLVAR = '01'
AND SUBTY = 'B0002'   "(= concatenation of RSIGN and RELAT)
         AND ISTAT = '1'   "Active
         AND SCLAS = 'O'
         AND SOBID = ID(region).

  • SVG chart and region on the same page

    Hello,
I would like to know if it's possible to create an svg chart and and only refresh a region in the same page.
If it's possible, where I can find how to do this.
If I call an other page my data is ok. But When I refresh the same page my data is not good.
    Thanks

Go to Dropdown web item properties and choose your report and use Before Command and use OPEN_CHART_DIALOG. You may try with After Command also.

  • How to copy and paste in the Maps app?

I cant seem use copy and paste in the Maps app. Copy and paste works fine in all other apps but in the "Directions" or "Search" menus, I cant copy the text or paste any text in. Any Suggestions?
    3GS iOS 4.2.1

I think it can be a little misleading,u must trying copying a map from Google maps within Safari, not from the Map application itself. It was a little difficult to get it to work, What I did was copy the portion of the page right below the map (it wouldn't work for the map itself) and then drag the copy bars up to the map. i hope it works. www.mobilemediacity.com/iphone/mapmyride-2

  • When I create a new track and region, the new region copies the previous region contents; why?

In trying to experiment with new instruments included in 10.1. , I create a new instrument track and region, nominate the new instrument, and... I see that the empty region I just created isn't empty at all, it is filled with the notes created in a previous track, and no sound... is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?

You can highlight the URL in the Location Bar of a Tab you want to duplicate and use '''{Alt + Enter}''' or you can '''Middle-click the Reload button''' at the right-side of the Location Bar (no need to highlight the URL there).
Both of those methods will work whether you have '''''Tabs on Top''''' selected or not.

  • TimeZone and Region

    Hello folks,
This is regarding mapping of Date, Time Zone and Region.
Currently our system receives an event. Our Current application captures the event reception time using Date constructor and saves it in DB. We also get the Region, usually Midwest or West. We have to convert the reception time using the Region field on the event.
Since our app servers are in Midwest region, the reception time stamp value will be Central even though the region from which the event is received is West. We need to translate the reception time based on the region, in above case to US/Western time.
Any pointers as to how to do this translation, so that it doesn't matter where our app. servers are running.

The java.util.Date data in the Sun VM is always in UTC (no daylight) timezone. Unless you are using a custom built VM or a different VM which doesn't do that, then that will be true.
We need to translate the reception time based on the region, in above case to US/Western time.
Any pointers as to how to do this translation, so that it doesn't matter where our app. servers are running.First I would guess you need to understand that you have one or both of the following problems.
    1. A display problem
    2. A storage/persistence problem.
You solve them independently. For the display problem if you need someone in Kansas to see a timestamp value for a timestamp created in Floriday you must first insure that the business (not technological side) understands what it is exactly that they want to see. Presuming that they ALWAYS want to see a local value (which in many businesses is not the case) then you do one of the following
    1. Deliver the data (not string) to them and let their VM display it.
    2. Have the client deliver a timezone to you as part of the request and then you create an appropriate string using SimpleDateFormat.
Note that option 2 is probably going to require a display format as well. Again however probably that requires business input.

  • Snapshot zone and dataset

    Hi,
I (try !!) to manage a X86-64 solaris computer. and I want to create à snapshot in a secondary zone..
That zone exist is ready and booted and I can login on it. So I use zfs snapshot koonytan/root/datatank to create the snapshot. And I got an error saying that there is no dataset for the snapshot. OK
I search for dataset and found in an oracle/sun documentation, that I have to use zonecfg to create the data set :
    zonecfg -z koonytank
    zonecfg:zion> add dataset
    zonecfg:zion:dataset> set name=koonytank/root/dataset
    zonecfg:zion:dataset> end
verrify, commit exit : no error.
Then I reboot the zone with zoneadm and I get en error "the zone koonytank" could not be verify. and the zone don't boot.
I have to remove the dataset declaration to reboot the zone.
So my question is : How to declare a dataset. I have heard of a flag in the global zone that will be inherited by the zone but I found nothing on that.
    I thank you in advance

  • Whole root zone and packages

I installed in my global zone the "Entire Distribution" of Solaris 10 and some software from Companion CD.
Now I would like install a "whole root zone" with a basic set of packages (like "End User Distribution") and without the packages
    from the Companion CD.
I can use pkgrm to delete the unnecessary packages in my whole root zone.
But is there a more elegant way to get a whole root zone only with basic packages?
    Regards. P.

The "easy" way would be to do a minimal installation in the Global zone and then install the required services in the local zone.

  • Mapping Node and Attributes

    Hello all,
I am using Process Composer for a process design.
I have a human activity and an automated acitivity.
    Human Activity                                                 Automated Activity
    + Type Code (node)----
    Type Code (node)
       - TypeCode (attribute)----
    text() (attirbute)
Above shows the mapping. Now I map the node and then i map the attribute. I save it.
The above mapping is for input mapping of the automated activity. Suppose if leave the mapping screen and come back, the mapping is automatically gone. Though i saved it. The TypeCode (node) is mapped to text() with an error (after i change screen. That will be error of course).
Have any of you faced any similar issue before?

    Problem solved.
    1. The cardinality of the nodes was not matching.
    2. Attributes were matched instead of matching nodes.
    Thnks

  • GPO Security Zones and Content Ratings "Modify Settings" buttons are disabled

Task: Trying to modify a GPO so that specific users who logon to Remote Desktop Servers will have a lower Internet security level for Internet Explorer.
We have two Windows Server 2008 Domain Controllers, when I access the GPO using the Group Policy Management Console and Editor on either of the two Domain Controllers, then navigate to User Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Internet Explorer
Maintenance > Security > Security Zones and Content Ratings, the available "Modify Settings" buttons are both disabled.
I've read through several forum posts relating to this and the closest solution mentioned was to turn off IE ESC for Administrators on both Domain Controllers. I've done this and it nothing has changed as a result. Is there a way enable the "Modify Settings"
buttons, or is there another way to achieve the task mentioned at the top of this post?

    Hi,
We need to import these settings before we modify them.
To import security zones and privacy settings from our computer using IEM:
    Click
Import the current security zones and privacy settings
To import content ratings from our computer:
    Click
Import the current Content Ratings settings
Regarding how to configure Security Zones and Content Ratings, the following article can be referred to for more information.

  • Zones and SAN

I am planning on creating some zones on a V490 server. I would like to implement the zones feature of Solaris 10. Has anyone placed a zone on a SAN? Is it recommended to place the entire zone on the SAN or leave the sparse root on the internal disk and place just the zones applications on the SAN?

I am curious to what you have done here.
We are thinking of zoning a redundant SunFire 6800 to create a number of zones in one large domain. This way we can have more zones than just four domains. When I did the Solaris 10 for experienced sys admins training, Sun could not actually tell me the best way of attaching SAN storage to multiple non global zones. It did seem as though they had not really thought about it.
They did suggest attaching the SAN storage to the global zone and then presenting the storage as a lofs filesystem and then the zone could attach that way. Considering that zones only have so many rights, it seemed the only thing to do. Considering I have not tried this yet, what did you do?

  • How do i manage the PSA

Hi experts. Please let me know how the PSA is managed in SAP BI Netweaver 2004's. The SAP Library says that in the Data warehousing Workbench under the Modeling section, i should find a PSA tree and invoke its context menu for managing it, but unfortunately i cannot see this. I only have InforProvider, Source Systems, DataSource etc.
    Please assist.

    Hi,
Depends on what you what to do:
    1) To Manage the PSA - Click on Infoprovider (under Modelling). Then find your infocube, DSO etc., expand the dataflow downwards, e.g. Transformation -> Data source. Rigth-click the data source and select Manage. Here you will see an overview of the requests loaded into your PSA. Select one and click on the PSA icon in the bottom to display the data.
    2) To display the PSA tables -> look at the following post where I've answered that question :o)

  • Country key and region change

Can any tell that how i can change country key and region of plant after some material master data is maintained? In spro sap is not allowing to change the country key and region of the plant.fields are in display only

    Dear,
Go to OX10 transaction and select your plant - select details - once plant details displayed, click on address icon on (Shift+F5). Here you change the country in address.
But consider different impacts of country change - like tax calculations, Sales etc.

  • Nokia Map Loader doesn't recognize the 5800XM

Hello, I have a 5800 Xpress Music and I have downloaded some maps to it from Nokia Map Loader.
Now it is not working and in Nokia Map Loader it waits for the phone (it does not recognize it) when I connect it through USB.
In Nokia Ovi Suite it says that the phone does not work with Nokia Maps or that the maps and voice guidance and corrupted.
I went to make a trip with my car and the voice guidance worked properly.
I tried to download again the Map Loader and it installed the “maps_installer_3.03_1”. And Nokia Map Loader 3.0.28.0.
I have the firmware 50.0.005 downloaded too.
What can I do to download some more maps to my 5800?
I have looked for solutions in the forum but I did not find them.
    Thanks

It seems that there is something wrong with the files in your phone. Run a disk check of your card on your PC. It may fix the problem.
If it doesnt, you will have to manually delete the voice and maps on your phone and recreate the folder structure.
Delete the cities folder and qf file on your memory card. Turn off phone and remove battery for 5min. Reboot phone then open maps application. Wait for it to recreate folder structure. Then reconnect to Ovi Suite and redownload the maps.
If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar. Thanks.
