Mapi Logon Failed - Can't sync

I am getting failed Calendar syncs all of a sudden that say "MAPI LOGON FAILED". I installed the latest BB Link on Feb 24th.  I can only find this problem discussed a few years ago on this site. There seems to be nothing current on this. My Outlook 2013 profile is correct and BB Link is pointed at it.  My BB Z10 used to sync but now no more. Can anyone suggest a solution ?

Six days and no replys, I tried also but could not find any info except this old info which might be what you saw also.

  • Mapi Logon Failed

Just when I thought all was well.  That was yesterday and now today out of the blue I get this error on syncing Outlook calendar and contacts to my Z10:
"Mapi Logon Failed.  Please run Outlook with the profile "Outlook" selected and try again"
I have reset the setting and set up the sync again to no avail.
Once all started working yesterday nothing has been touched.
    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Okay, now resolved.
Somehow the files associated with the Desktop Account profile located on the Z10 got corrupted. Deleted that account profile and then reset the Outlook Calendar and Contacts sync on Link. then sync calendar and contacts and now all is back. There is no clue as to how the files got corrupted.

  • Authorization of my computer fails, can't sync applications

My computer is one of 4 authorized computers for iTunes store. I have downloaded some free apps and 1 bought app that I wanted to install on my iPod Touch (2.2.1).
    I have tried:
    * Deauthorize and reauthorize the computer.
    * Restore back to Factory settings of the iPod Touch
    * Clicking on each application under Applications and typed in my password. It responds that I have 4 of 5 computers authorized.
Nothing helps, it's like the authorization is not registered even if it says this computer is already authorized if I try to redo it.
The account I'm logged into is an administration account in Windows Vista so that shouldn't be the problem either.
    Any suggestions?
Edit: Maybe this should be under "Installing and Using iPod touch Applications" but I could find a way to delete it or move it.

I said "Authorization of my computer fails, can't sync applications " in the heading but I can try to explain some more.
    This is what I did
    1. Selected an app at iTunes Store i.e. Flight Control and clicked "Buy" (or "Get App" when it was a free app)
    2. Typed in my password for iTunes Store
    3. The app is now under "Software" in iTunes.
    4. Attach my iPod Touch via USB
    5. It sync automatically and a popup comes up saying "Some of the applications in your iTunes library including "Flight Control", where not installed on the iPod "Béatrice Karjalainen's iPod" because you are not authorized for them on this computer."
I searched for solutions on this problem in this forum and people suggested that I should reauthorize my computer bu deauthorize and authorize again. I did that. It didn't help so I continue to search for a solution. Someone said htat I could double click on each application under "Applications" and type in my iTunes Store password there so I did so. When I double click on an app it says "This computer is not authorized for "Flight Control". Would you like to authorize it? And the rest of the ordinary authorization info. I type in my password and press "Authorize" get the following as answer "This computer is already authorized".
I try to sync again, the same as before, my computer is not authorized.
I can't use App Store on the iPod as my wifi-function on the iPod seems to be broken all of a sudden. It just stopped working a couple of days ago. (And I have problems with the battery that is uncharged when listening to audio books within less then 2 hours).
    I run iTunes 8.1.0.52.

  • MAPI LOGON FAILED (MAPI_E_LOGON_FAILED) 0X80040111

    Hello,
    I’m running a test environment with Windows Server 2012 R2 / Exchange 2013 SP1 / Client Outlook 2013
    - This is all running on one server
    - Exchange is running in a VM  (HyperV)
I have installed Outlook on this machine (thus replacing Exchange MAPI with Outlook MAPI) all works fine.  After I uninstall Outlook and try to run any Mapi application I am not able to connect to my Exchange Server.
I have tried using MFCMapi, and even installed CodeTwo’s ExchangeSync which uses Mapi and it also failed.
I do have Mapi HTTP enabled
I checked Outlooks Connection status and it shows HTTPS to the Server.
Any ideas what could be blocking the Mapi connections?

Can you check few of the things like below...
Do you get OK response when you go to https://<YourCAS SErver>/mapi/healthcheck.htm
Run Test-OutlookConnectivity -RunFromServerId YourCASServer -ProbeIdentity OutlookMapiHttpSelfTestProbe and see if it successful or if any error, post it over here...
Do you find anything useful in the logs located in below folders?
                         %ExchangeInstallPath%Logging\MAPI Address Book Service\
                         %ExchangeInstallPath%Logging\MAPI Client Access\
                         %ExchangeInstallPath%Logging\HttpProxy\Mapi\
I hope you are using Outlook 2013 SP1 to connect via MAPI/HTTP.

  • Audiobook Fail: can't sync, remove, or re-download

I cannot get my iMac and Phone to handle audiobooks correctly since my last iOS update.
    iPhone 4S 7.0.3
    iMac OSX v 10.7.5
    iTunes 11.1.3
I have tried tips from other discussions with no resolution.
I have previously purchased Audiobooks from iMac and iPhone.  I have been able to listen to them and sync them.  I have only purchased from iTunes Store, and on listen with iTunes, so I am not expecting issues with file types from other vendors, etc.  The only other problem I had before this was with a single audiobook (Stephen King, Under the Dome) which would not save the listening point between sessions.
I am in the middle of the 3rd part of a book (Tom Clancy, The Cardinal of the Kremlin.  Not that it matters.).  Purchased from iTunes Store from the phone.
SInce the last iOS phone update, I cannot open the book (none of the 3 parts).  It still appears in my Audiobooks list.  I can listen to the other books in the list.
I cannot sync any of my Audiobooks, whether purchased on the iMac or iPhone.  I have selected and deselected all book options (books, audiobooks, sync all, sync selected, etc, etc).  Books are neither added nor removed.
I am unable to download The Book onto my iMac.  If I try to purchase from the store, it says "Use Store->Check For Available Downloads".  This says "all downloads are current".
I cannot re-download to my phone.  From iTunes Store it indicates the book is already Downloaded, and will not repeat the action.
I was able to delete all other books from the phone using "Settings->General->Usage->Storage->Musics".  The Clancy book does does not appear here.  When I open iTunes->Audiobooks, all three parts are visible.  They just don't open.
    1.  Any idea how to make my Audiobooks sync at all?
    2.  Any idea how to recover this one particular book?
Let me know if I can provide further detail.... JB

May be due to a corrupt book file?
I submitted a report thru the iTunes store regarding the inability to download the book onto the iMac.  While i have not yet received a reply, shortly therafter i was able to download to the iMac, AND delete/redownload to the iPhone.  The book now plays properly in iTunes.
Once it is downloaded in both places i will see if the sync function works.....

    Hello lenmin,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To help resolve this issue where you're repeatedly prompted to authorize with your Apple ID in iTunes when syncing, please follow the directions in the article below.

  • Pod Touch 32GB MTP USB device has failed to install and can't sync.

After updating iTunes on my Win7 64bit PC, when I plug my iPod Touch 32GB in, I get the error message "MTP USB device has failed to install" and can't sync. Yesterday, everything worked well.
    Need help, please!

Thank you. I removed iTunes, QT, Safari and related software, then applied a Windows update and reinstalled iTunes and related software. It solved my problem and let me sync my iPod.
    Thanks!

  • Can't Refresh Crystal 11documents due to 'Logon Failed'

<p>For reasons unknown, neither Crystal Reports 11 or 9 (u2026I have both on my computeru2026) will allow me to refresh my documents from my database.  I can open a document with no problem, but when I click the refresh button, the following pop-up message appears:</p>
    <blockquote>Logon failed.<br>
Details: IM003: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1114 (Oracle in OraClient10g_home2). [Database Vendor Code: 160]</blockquote>
<p>This inability to refresh is a recent phenomenon, and the last time I used Crystal 11 I encountered no such problem.  Also, I can access the database through other means, so the problem appears to be with Crystal.  Finally, another person in my office who works with Crystal Reports on the same database can open and refresh the same documents that cause me to encounter this error message.</p>
    <p>Can anyone help?</p>

Make sure whatever username you are using to run this report is not locked out.  Sometimes after 3 wrong password attempts the account will lock itself out at some companies.
Also go to Database - Log on or Off Server and log off all the current connection and then try refreshing the report.
If that doesn't work I'd look into your ODBC connections and see if they match what is on the server machine.

I try to sync my itunes with my iphon 4s 16gb but a message says that the sync fails can anyone help me?

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version.  You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes.  Or you can adapt to the new look.

Maybe you should get new friends.
I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.
iCloud: Erase your device - Apple Support
This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.

  • Can you sync apple maps

Can you sync maps between devices?

I use my phone and iPad when traveling around town.  I would like to sync map locations so I have my locations on both devices.

  • HD failed, now I can't sync my phone without losing content on my phone

My Dell laptop HD crashed. Dell replaced it and after I reinstalled iTunes I can't sync my phone. I have authorized "the new" computer even though it is the same computer just with a new HD.
When I try to sync my phone iTunes tells me that it wants to delete my applications and music from my phone and replace it with what is on my computer, which is nothing currently. How can I get my phone to sync with my computer and not lose any of my data on my phone?

By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with ONE computer at a time. ANY attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first deleted from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be defeated.
Your photos & music you ripped on your own will have to be extracted from your phone using third party software, as Apple makes no provision for this since it's expected that you maintain a backup. Your photos were reduced in resolution when synced to your phone to display on the phone. There is no way to recover their full resolution. You need to recover these photos & music before you proceed.
    http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/
Next, disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected, under preferences in itunes, which in Windows I believe is under the edit menu.
Next, go up to Store>Authorize this computer.
Next, make sure you have at least one contact & one event in whatever supported program you use for that purpose on your computer(Outlook, Windows Address Book). They can be fake, it doesn't matter.
Next, connect your phone. DO NOT SYNC at this point.
Right click the phone in the device pane & select "Reset Warnings".
Next, go up to "File", "Transfer purchases made on this ipod/iphone to this computer".
Your purchased music/apps will then be transferred to itunes. Music you ripped on your own will not. You'll have to restore that from your backup, which apparently doesn't exist, or use third party software already referenced.
Next, right click again & select BACKUP.
Next, restore your phone from the backup you just made.
This must be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content. Which is selected from the various tabs. You should get a prompt regarding your contacts & calendar asking to "merge" or "replace". Select "merge"
That's as good as it gets.
This is what's included in the backup you'll make & restore from:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
This is how to restore from that backup, as already referenced, when prompted to create another backup before you restore, decline as we will use the backup we made when we started:

  • MAPI login failed: Cannot sync DM with Torch anymore

I have updated DM software to OS 6.0 Bundle 2949
When i try to synch, i get the following error
MAPI login failed: please run outlook with profile "outlook" selected and try again
I have the correct outlook profile selected. I could synch my Torch with earlier versions on BB DM software
I have downloaded a new version of DM from the BB website.
Nothing seems to correct this problem
    Any advice?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I got it to fucntion by doing the following (Win7 OS):
    1.  Go to control panel and uninstall the BB 7.0 desktop software.  Suggest you save/backup whats on your BB just for grins.
    2.  Download a copy.  I found one at website http://www.4shared.com/get/9kFYRX-p/blackberry_desktop_software_61.html
    3.  I downloaded 6.1.0.35 which works fine with my Bold 9650.
    4.  Once downloaded, I installed the older version, adjusted the settings and it worked fine again.
    Good luck.
