Event ID: 419
Task Category: Logging/Recovery
Level: Error

Computer: MB04.domain.Com
Description:
Information Store (3548) mbx-archive1: Unable to read page 36249103 of database Q:\mbx-archive1\mbx-archive1.edb. Error -1019.
Database size is 1TB, is there anyway to repair it? any idea how many days will take for repair the database through esutil tool?
Please help
MD
Most likely not. What's done is done. Make sure the hardware is OK or you will end up in the same boat.......
Make a copy of the DB and all the logs before doing anything.
Then you can do the /P - and it will take several hours.
Make another copy
Once that completes, then do a /D to remove the cut page links. That will also take several hours.
fingers crossed....
You can also make a support case with us - if this is valuable data it's worth the cost!
Cheers,
Rhoderick

+ PSComputerName : eg-exchg-01.ABC.comHi,
This issue indicate corrupted database or corrupted logs. I suggest you to check and repair the database or check and repair the database log.
1. Check the state of database by following command: eseutil /mh "Path of the database"
Ps: Default path of the database is “C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Mailbox\Mailbox Database\Mailbox Database.edb”
Default path of the log files is “C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Mailbox\Mailbox Database\E00”
2. If the state is in clean shutdown, move all the log files from the Transaction logs folder location and then mount the database.
3. If the state is in dirty shutdown, check if the log files that is indicated as Logs required is available or not.
4. You can run Eseutil ml “Path of the log file\e00” to make sure that the log files is required is in a Clean state. This command will help you check the health of all the log files in the location.
5. If the log files are healthy, then try Soft recovery with the command Eseutil /r e00 /l ”Path of log files” /p “Path of the database”
Note:
Make sure you make a backup of the database before attempting any kind of repairs
6. Once the command completes successfully, then mount the database.
7. In case the required log files are not available in a clean state or missing, either restore from a successful back up or perform Hard repair with defragment.
Refer to this file about hard repair:

We have sbs 2011 standard. Yesterday. exchange public folder cannot be mounted. It show error :
An Active Manager operation failed. Error: The database action failed. Error: Operation failed with message: MapiExceptionCallFailed: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, ec=-501).
I run eseutil /mh. it tells me dirty shutdown. I then run eseutil /p. to change to clean shutdown. It still have same error. I try to use asiedit to remove public folder. It doesnot have delete option.
Please help
gary zhouHi,
I think you could look into the Event Viewer to verify whether there are some related errors or warnings included. I think it could be checkpoint here. At the same time, you need to run the Exchange Best Practice Analyzer to have a general health check of
your server.
Actually, you could delete the public folder in the ADSI Edit if you like,
Open ADSI-Edit and got to configuration
Navigate to this path:
CN=Configuration,DC=DOMAIN,DC=LOCAL
CN=Services
CN=Microsoft Exchange
CN=EXCHANGE_ORG
CN=Administrative Groups
CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)
CN=Databases
CN=PUBLIC_FOLDER_DATABASE
Just like a figure below:
Note: You need to make sure that there is no useful information included in the public folder database.

James

will it mount without Logfiles???
Thanks

bikramHi,
According to your description, your problematic database is in dirty shutdown state and your soft repair ends with errors. In this case, I'd like to say, the dirty shutdown state may be caused by that the required log files are missing. Thus, I recommend
you try the hard recovery by using Eseutil /p or
Eseutil /d /r.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259851/en-us
Thanks,

The error ocured on Exchange Server 2010 SP3 Standard Update Rollup 5.
Update to Rollup 7 does not solve the problem.
Eseutil 14.03 shows no errors.Move all the log files include all other files to another location and try to mount it.
Post the update

OK
all services is started correctly , i can stop & start normally , i could create new database & mounted ok
any help?You said the database is definitely NOT mounted correct?
the -1032 means something has a lock on the EDB file which would make sense if its locked
If its not mounted then do you have another session open somewhere trying to take action on the EDB, copy it etc?
Sometimes backup jobs can put a hold on a file, i.e. I have seen BUE do this and its quit aggravating because the job doesn't even have to be running
If you cant find what has a lock on the file and your are absolutely sure its not mounted then use this file unlocker utility

Unable to Mount Mailbox Databases
I migrated a hyper v exchange server to a new hyper v host. After the migration I am unable to get the mailbox databases to mount. The error message I receive when I try to mount is:
Error code: An active manager operation failed. Erorr the database action failed. Erorr: operation failed with the message: MapiExecptionAccess unable to mount database. hr=0x8007005, ec=-2147024891
The server is running on 2008 R2 Enterprise
Any help would be appreciated.
ThanksHi,
Maybe it is related to the TEMP & TMP environment variables, please try the below article to modify the temp folder. After that, please recreate the ActiveSync virtual directory to check the result. About how to rebuild virtual directory, you can refer

sql>alter database mount standby database; -
Unable to recover database after rman recovery and database open resetlogs
I am running Oracle 10.2.0.5 on OpenSUSE 9. I have been trying to upgrade the database to 11g, through dbua. I was getting stuck at one point during the Oracle Server install and the upgrade failed and I was forced to restore the database to an earlier backup.
Below is the current place that I am stuck. As you can see I opened the database multiple times and reset the logs. Now I am afraid that my controlfile and redo log backups are out of sync and i can't get them back on track. Before when I actually got the database recovered RMAN would immediately throw:
RMAN-06900: WARNING: unable to generate V$RMAN_STATUS or V$RMAN_OUTPUT row
RMAN-06901: WARNING: disabling update of the V$RMAN_STATUS and V$RMAN_OUTPUT rows
OPA-00600: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: ...
The database would open with ALTER DATABASE RESETLOGS but any query on non-system tables would fail and throw:
ORA-04045: errors during recompilation/revalidation of LCRS_DEV1.FACILITY_REF
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17069], [0x1158ED180], [], [], [],
I hope I have not dug myself into too deep of a hole here.
Here is the trace from my most recent attempt.

I have reset the database for the controlfile that I am using as backup and now I am not able to recover until the correct SCN. I am thinking that my recovery catalog is bad. ORA-011-2 cannot mount database in Exclusive mode
This is brand new both Oracle 10g and SUSE 9.3 install. The installation went fine, no errors. At the end I tried to verify the installation:
sqlplus /nolog
SQL>connect / as sysdba
Connected to an idle instance
SQL>startup
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
LRM-00109: could not open parameter file '/opt/oracle/product/10g/dbs/initmydb.ora'
SQL>
So, I figured the missing initmydb file must be in different directory so I looked for it, started new shell session and entered this:
ln -s @ORACLE_BASE/admin/orcl/pfile/initmydb.ora
$ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initmydb.ora
Now I get the following error:
SQL>startup
ORA-011-2 cannot mount database in Exclusive mode
This is third time that I am triyng to install both SUSE and Oracle from scratch and I always run in the same problem, so you can only imagine how I feel.Now after reading many documents I am even more confused. The thing is, now I can connect to EM and manage database, create tables, etc, which means the database is up, right? However, I am unable to verify the database existance in sqlplus.
First after I connect as sysdba in sqlplus, the console says "Connected to an idle instance". When I enter show sga sqlplus, the sqlplus displays 0. Startup comand will display error in the above post.
So, the bottom line is, according to the EM the database is up and running (I can use isqlplus too) but not according to sqlplus on the server itself. What'sgoing on here? I've been reading every single paper on Oracle's and Novell SUSE web sites and couldn't find anything about it. -
Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to migrate mailboxes from 2010 -> 2013 and I've com across an odd error.
I've put my skip limit to 5(for bad files), however this error seems to appear regardless. I'm not a Jets DB expert, but not being able to find a row seems quite serious. Any ideas?

From your description, if you specify a larger value for the bad items limit, this error will disappear. Then the issue should be related to the corrupt mailbox, such as the subfolder property and so on, you can use MFCMAPI to check them and then remove
problematic folders.
Hope this can be helpful to you.

Amy Wang

SrinivasHi Saini,
Thank you for your reply, I have gone through that thread. I have done all the settings required for MDM and DB2.
Only thing I havn't done is DB2 Client was not installed. Because our DB2 expert is saying that he has installed full DB2 installation and since DB2 and MDM are on the same box,
client software is not necessery. Is this correct..please advice.
