Maploader errors?

I am importing mapping table for account dimension using maploader.xls file. There are 3 account mappings in the maploader.xls but when the file is imported no mappings are shown in the mapping table. I am not getting any error or warning or success message when import is done. Kindly advice me

Just to confirm the maploader.xls format - Upload the default maploader.xls available with FDM (after making changes of Location Name, LocationID, FDM dimension lables). Dont make any changes to the available mappings.
Let us see, if you face any issues.

    please advise...

    Hi tonysh
Which version are you trying to use as yesterday Nokia_Map_Loader_1_1f_Setup.exe would not completely download onto desktop?
    You could try Smart2go on:

  • Map Loader doesn't work at all!

I have read on the forum that you can load down maps to your N95 with Map Loader to avoid traffic costs.
I failed to do it regards many try.
I have a HP PC with Vista Business. I begin with upgrade of PC Suit on it (6.84) and I updated Maps software on N95. I downloaded Map Loader from Nokia Site (1.2) and started it. I get a message that I should use GPS once before I use Map Loader. So I did it and drive a bit of road with it. It worked pretty well, I didn’t try voice guides yet.
Thereafter I connect N95 by USB cable in memory mode to my PC and started Map Loader. I get the warnings screen as usual and after I choose OK I get error message, something like that: Unexpected error occurred, sorry for inconvenience, try again later!
I tried all I could without success, please help before I’ll get creasy :-)

You simply have to put your phone into the correct mode.
Connect your phone and select mass storage (NOT PC Suite). Start map loader and it will download direct to your card.Message Edited by selintra on 01-Oct-200709:22 PM
    Thank You for your concern!
I have read very carefully the error message, be sure of it. The problem was that when I connected my N95 via USB I get the choice: PC Suite mode or Mass storage mode and I choose Mass storage mode, precisely as you have suggested it. But it did not work! I was frustrated as I said before.
But it says DATA TRANSFER MODE, not Mass storage mode, doesn’t it?
I red the other post in this forum which describe how you put your USB connection port on your phone in to this mode.
Go to Tools > Settings > Connection > USB > USB mode = Data transfer
I did it and EUREKA! It works  And more! Now when I connect my N95 to USB port it ask me if I want connect it in DATA TRANSFER mode or not!
I do not know why it didn’t do it before, but that was my problem!

  • MapLoader 121 - only 1 country at a time?

Since I got a 4gb card I thought I would download more map data for my n95 last night. I selected Belgium, NL, Fr and UK. Whichever way I did it MapLoader didn't seem able to download more than 1 country. Whenever it got to the second it would report an "unexpected error". Is this a known problem with maploader? Is there any way around it?
(BTW, I have to change the download zip file to read-only, then extract the files, delete the apprpriate ones on the memcard nd replace them witht he unzipped ones. Whenever I try to do it the way iot should work it downloads the full map then errors without copying anything to the memcard.)
I could see that MapLoader was tripping up after 1 country by looking at the size of the zip file and swappingf tghe order in which I wanted to download countries.

    Forget it, got the answer

  • Nokia Maploader problem with N95

No i do not have a connectivity error with Maploader.
I cannot start the program at all. After installing. I click on the program then I see a splashscreen. And under the splashscreen I see a message saying That maploader is a program to transfer maps on your Nokia. Fine till then.
When I click OK I get a message Maploader doesn't work anymore: It has never worked!! And the program disappears
I tried both versions Smart2go and Nokia (both are the same)
I have Vista, I also did a reboot after install---> No Go
I tried WinXp SP2 compatibility---> nope not working.
I already opened Maps several times on the N95
don't really know what to do now.

Map Loader often fails for unknown reasons.
If you can put your memory card into a card reader, you can use AvMapsLoader by Andreas Vogel.
    - program: http://sites.google.com/site/avesomega/AvMapsLoader
    - review: http://symbianism.blogspot.com/2009/02/nokia-map-loader-alternative.html
If that doesn't work for you, just download the maps with your web browser and extract them to the map folder on your phone:
    - Nokia Map Loader Alternative: http://nokiamaps.site666.info
If your phone can go online by WiFi or if you have unmetered mobile internet you don't even need a computer to preload maps on your phone.
Of course you can also keep troubleshooting Nokia's own map loader until it works, but that can take such a long time that the alternatives are often faster and easier.
With WiFi and fast mobile internet all over the place Nokia should code a lightweight map loader for Symbian. There's no reason for not doing so, because downloading and unzipping map files really doesn't need hundreds of megabytes worth of Map Loader, PC suite, and .net framework. It doesn't need to take much more than a web browser (already present in Symbian), a zip program (already present in new versions of Nokia's firmware), and some code to make 'em work together.

  • Problem with maploader

i have an e50 nokia phone, i have downloaded and installed the maps app(smart2go) also have installed the maploader. i want to download some map just for information not for navigation, but the maploader does not find my phone, i have used the maps from my phone( i mean i have opened the application) help!!!!

OMG this fone (N95) is doing my head in. Im having PROBLEM with installing the smart2go into the fone. Ive downloaded & saved into a PC file however everytime i tried to intall it into the fone, a message popped up "Update error!". Could anyone please tell me what it means and how do i go about installing it.
Ive just had the fone for 3 days and im loosing my patience. The dealer told me i had to download the map before i can use the GPS by going to www.nokia.com/maps ... iIve gone into it and there are 2 free softwares for N95 NokiaMaps and MapLoader. The website recommended downloading NokiaMap first (which is the smart2go) before downloading MapLoader. ( We recommend installing Nokia Maps on your mobile device prior to installing Nokia MapLoader on your PC.)Ive tried MANY times for both PC Suites and Mass Storafe modes and it didnt work. So i decided to install NokiaMapLoader into the fone before NokiaMaps and it took ages. The downloading time was like 14 hours. and so i cancelled after half an hr waiting for 0.3% download.
Could you guys please be kind enough to show me how to use this thing n get the GPS works because its driving me up the wall. wts all the fuss about?? this is a duff.
    Thanks very much

  • Issue with FDM Maploader

    Hi,
We are using FDM 11.1.1.2 and we have to upload mappings through a maploader.
When we try to import the maploader file,it gives an error as 'Object Variable or With Bloack Variable Not Set'.
We changed the path in workbench to \\servername instead of local drive but we no luck.
I think maploader is not compatible with 11.1 version, several times we have faced the issue.
Do anybody has idea if there are any other changes required in maploader for 11 version?
    Thanks

  • Map Loader Error

    Hello,
i'm trying to use Nokia MapLoader but everytime I start the application i get a the following error:
"An unexpected error occurred. Try again. Sorry for the inconvenience."
my phone model is Nokia N95
    please advise...

    its definitely a proxy thing
I managed to connect with no problems at home - but found that the US map is over a gig! - as I'm on a 2mb connection at home, I thought I'd best use the 100g connection at work.....
but when I try laucnh the maploader at work - I get the unexpected error.
so last night I went home - fired up maploader.....but got the same error!
but after uninstalling and re-installing maploader I finally got it to work..
bit pants really as I had to leave my laptop on all night to download the US map.
nil marks out of 10 to Nokia for being environmentally friendly! - its a data file - why not just bung it on an html page for everyone to download?

  • Another Different MapLoader Prob

OK I've tried this the two different ways. Using the USB cable and using the Card Reader on the PC.
MapLoader loads fine initially and doesn't display any errors telling me it can't find the cards to write to. When I select the cities and say Download it displays the download screen and tells me its downloading 1 of 2 sections that I have selected. However it doesn't actually download anything. I have left it for around 1 and a half hours and it never moved. If I say cancel the download it gives me the option if i do or don't really want to cancel and if I say cancel it just hangs and you can't close the program without forcing it closed.
Now for the twist. I initially downloaded the Eastern side of Australia (hoping it would have Adelaide, SA in it, which it didn't) and I didn't have any problems during the first download. I have booted in Windows XP and Vista and had the same issue.
To make matters worse: If I take the miniSD card out of the phone all the streets are on the mobile memory. If I plug in the miniSD card it reads it directly off the card and not the phone memory which only has the Major, Major streets on it so I essentially have no map data. I tried locating the files on the miniSD card to remove them so it would read off the phone or download it over the net instead, but I couldn't find them.
Any help and or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi phoniclynx
With reference to memory card structure try this:
Put your miniSD into card reader on PC, enable see hidden files and look for something like "Private\20001f63\diskcache"
You don't say what model of phone you are using but as minisD it is not an N95. I know that when I put Maps on an N80, I installed .SIS on miniSD, started and closed application, so that directory structure would be created on memory card not phone memory.
I am guessing that when you originally started Maps, there was not a memory card in phone, so that directory was created on phone memory instead.

  • Maploader 1.1g problems.

I format mine MicroSD 2GB card and installed new Nokia Mapsloader v1.1g.
    I chosed:
    Europe
    China
    Hong Kong
    Taiwan
    Oklahoma City
    Japan
    Voice:
    Swedish
    Cantonese
    English (US)
    English (UK)
Now some of the swedish character displays with weirds character ex:
    Göteborg -> G^|teborg
Looks like it can't display the swedish åäö correct and replaced it with some weird character instead.
Didn't had this problem with maploader 1.0.
Also, when i ran the maploader, after a while it shows up an error message, about GDI+ error and i don't know what it's all about.
But downloading the maps + voices works fine, but i wonder if that GDI+ error that shows up had causing my weird swedish character displays on the maps?
Anyone know how to fix this, thanks!

    Hi dt888
I presume that your Windows NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0 are up to date, which Nokia software heavily relies on. This is not an uncommon event "Generic GDI+ Error when saving bitmaps or working with images"
The chances are if you deleted maps and reloaded, this error might not appear, however there have been other language issues recorded with Maploader v1.1 in the past; it doesn't show properly street and city names with unicode characters.
I might suggest at this stage "if it ain't broke don't fix it"

  • Windows Vista: Ipod Error Message, no longer read by PCs

    Hello,
I have a 5th generation black ipod video with 30GB of memory.
The other day I hooked it up to my laptop (Toshiba, 4 months old) that it's been functioning on with no problems whatsoever. This weird error message flashed twice about it not being able to sync because of some software problem.
Eversince then, the only thing I can charge my ipod on is the family treadmill in the basement (~_~) as no other computer in the house recognizes it. I can't even charge it through the wall sockets, either.
I have changed the ipod cord, still no luck. I've also reset the device about 3 or 4 times and uninstalled, restarted the laptop then reinstalled itunes. I would like to reset it back to factory settings but that's impossible as computers/laptops don't pick it up. I live very far from a Mac store...
What's a girl to do? I can't live without my Busta Rhymes and Wu-Tang Clan!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  • Error while offsetting a variable

    Hello Experts
I want to display the data for last 5 years in my query. So I tried using the SAP exit variable Current Calendar Year (0CYEAR) and the offset it by 5. However, I am getting the following error message for the query "System error in program SAPLRR12 and form REP_ASSIGN_INITIAL_OPT-01"
Any Help on this is appreciated and points will be assigned.
    Thanks

Thanks Chetan for your prompt reply. I have assigned points.
But I would appreciate if you help me clear my understanding of offseting a variable.
Say if the Current Calendar Year variable returns 2008, then will offseting that variable by 5 return me the data for years 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005 , 2004. Or, will it just return me the data for 2008 - 5 = 2004 only.
    Thanks
