I need to create an annual maintenance contract AMC for servicing the Photo Copiers.I want to create a service PO for this.I have already created service master for this. The AMC charges are 90,000 / year
I have to pay the Vendor every month. How do I map this in SAP.

Content server for Document attachment through "services for object" Icon.

Guys,
I have typical problem in installation of Content server for storing external documents.
We all know that we can attach the document in SAP using the icon SERVICES FOR OBJECT. By this we can attach the document to the specific object we want.
-Since my client wants only document attachment method not to completely implement SAP DMS, I proposed this method of attaching documents through services for object method.
-If documents are stored though services for object ,The attached document will directly get stored in sap database(correct me if I am wrong) while in DMS it ask you to select the storage location while u check in for any document
-By storing the doc thru "services for object " For long run when we store the documents in sap database our system will drastically get slow down.
-In this regard I have a plan to incorporate external storage server.
-Now I should know that how I should customize content server configuration so that the attachment through services for object will store into this content server I need to know how to define Client, Content Category, Content Repository, Document Area, Physical Machine, IP Address, Port. (OACT & OAC0)
I appreciate for immediate solution and Points will be rewarded for sure.

Don't Worry, its possible,
All attachments can be stored in SAP Content Server also, but through archiving process.
Set up a database storage system.
Preparation
Make sure that the HTTP plugin is active.
Transaction SMICM, "Display Services" function key (shift F1)). The list of services must contain a port other than 0 for HTTP.If not, you must adjust the relevant profile parameter.
Typical entry:
icm/server_port_0 PROT=HTTP, PORT=1080, TIMEOUT=900
Make sure that the /sap/bc/contentserver service is active.
If no user is defined, then use transaction SU01 to create a new user. Use the "System" user type.Assign
the SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles to the user. (Eg: HRUSER/PLMUSER/PPUSER etc)
Transaction SICF, select: default_host - sap - bc -contentserver. Select the function to display/change the service. Make sure that a user is defined.
Using the relevant data from the newly created user, maintain the anonymous logon data for the
/default_host/sap/bc/ service and save & activate the changes in transaction SICF. Double click on content server and give the user name which has been created (HRUSER/PLMUSER/PPUSER/MMUSER etc)
Check the system PSE.
Start transaction STRUST. Expand the system PSE. The system PSE must be "green" for each application
server.
Determine a suitable exchange directory.
The exchange directory must be accessible from each application server. If all application servers are running on the same platform (for example, Windows), one network directory that is accessible on all application server (for example,
server\share) is sufficient. You can generally use the global directory
(profile parameter DIR_GLOBAL).You can use the RSPARAM report to determine the profile parameters.
Setting up the storage
Create a table for storing the data. Using transaction SE11, create a copy of the SDOKCONT1
table. If you want to create the repository database, you can name the table ZCONT_DB, for example. Save the
table as a local object. Activate the table.
Create a repository.
Use transaction OAC0 to create a new repository.
Use the following parameters:
Repository Max. two characters, for example, Z1
DocArea: ARCHLINK
Storage type: R/3 database
Storage subtype: normal
Version no. : 0046
Contents table <table name> for example: ZCONT_DB
Exchange directory <directory name> for example:
server\share\
Make sure that the exchange list ends with a \ (or /on Unix).If you are using a variety of platforms, you must use transaction FILE to define a suitable logical file name and use this name. Save the settings.

 Cross client table displayed as information, forget it
2. In field 'StSytm' you must entered 'Z1' as your system need, or anything that you need but you must configure HR Archive link too.
3. In field 'Arch.path' (direct above Spoolpath), entered path in your system, this real path in your operating system. May be you should confirm to your Basis consultant where exactly you could store picture files. So if you enter '/', your file exists at root directory at your UNIX system.
4. Choose 'File store' radio button

1. You have to create a number range for SAP ArchiveLink.
 IMG: Basis Components-> Basis Services -> SAP ArchiveLink -> Basic Settings-> Maintain number ranges
 (Trxn OANR). Create number range 01 from 0000000001 to 9999999999 without the external number flag.
2. Document type HRICOLFOTO must exist with document class JPG.
 IMG: Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP ArchiveLink->System Settings->Maintain document types
 (Table TOAVE, Trxn OAC2).
3. Document type HRICOLFOTO must be linked to object type PREL and Infotype PA0002.
 IMG: Personnel Management->Personnel Administration->Tools->Optical archiving->Set up Optical Archiving
 in HR. (View V_T585O, no Trxn). In the first two columns there are minuses, the third (Date) has
 a plus - don't put a flag in the check box.
4. Check which content repository (Archive) is linked to document type HRICOLFOTO and object type
 PREL. IMG: Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP ArchiveLink->Basic Settings->Maintain Links (Table
 TOAOM_C, Trxn).
Test
Test the repository.
Use transaction SE38 to start the RSCMSTH0 report. Specify your repository (i.e. Z1) and start the test.
The report must run without errors. If no problems occurred, you can use the new repository with Archive Link after you carry out the Archive Link Customizing. If problems do occur, check whether one of the related
notes helps.

NOTE:- Screen Shots are missing, i was not able to paste here, One more thing is we did this for uploading a PHOTOS into Content Server, Similarly you have to create a REPOSITORY and Z-TABLE to bring all the Attachments from all the selected Objects and then route them to the CONTENT REPOSITORY.

Hi Mario,
   Sometimes XI Mapping test may throw an Error if any of the other UDF is having errors.
   So please do the following and check whether you are able to run mapping test.
   1. Check all the UDF for any syntax errors/import stmt error etc.
   2. goto Edit mode and do some dummy changes (Like changing UDF Description etc) and activate and check again.

PSC 10 and Pass Through Services - Override the GO button

I have a couple of questions around the presentation of the service offer and the service form pages.
What I am trying to demonstrate for a prospective customer is a “pass-through” service where there is no order form but a link off the central PSC catalog to another website location. First off, if there is a correct way to do this please recommend it. This is what I think would be the way I would like to handle it:
     1.       Set the service to be non-orderable. This removes the “Order” and “Order on Behalf” buttons with a “Go” Button as shown here:
     2.       Next I would populate what was the HTML that describes the details of the service from the other website in the Overview from the service designer service presentation tab so that it displays in the Specification of the Offer page.
     3.       Next I would like the Go button to launch “pass-through” to the other web site. Currently it pulls up an empty form with the service description and a “Cancel” button. Is this possible?
     4.       Is there a way to control the layout of the content on the Offer Page and the Service Order Form pages? For instance, if I wanted to include the “More Details” from the service designer service presentation tab, would that be possible?

If you make the service non-orderable, but the user still has permission to see the service, he will see the service and the "Go" button. Clicking on the "Go" button is supposed to take you to the order form, which allows the end users to see the fields he/she needs to fill in, but does not have a "Submit" button.
I don't currently have a "Yes" answer for #3 and #4. There might be a way to do them. I'll look into it.

Assign mapping drive through GPO

We have a simple domain with forest level is 2003 and domain function level is 2008, all domain controller is 2008 R2. workstations are windows7 professional. We are tring to assign mapping drives through

Please try to log on twice continuously to see if the drive can be mapped successfully. If not, please check event logs in Event Viewer to see if some related events were logged, and we can run cmd command
gpresult/h gpreport.html to collect group policy result report to troubleshoot the issue.

Mapping runs through Deployment Manager but hangs in Process Flow

Hi,
I have a Mapping bound in a simple Process Flow.
The mapping deploys through Deployment Manager and runs. It currently processes no rows and takes a couple of seconds to do that. It completes with a Success message.
However, when I wrap it into a simple Process Flow...

START ---> MY_MAPPING ---- s ---> END_SUCCESS
--- e ---> END_ERROR
.., deploy this and run it through the Deployment Manager, it hangs. I get the 'Execution in progress...' window with the moving graphic forever.
The Runtime Repository Browser Execution Report tells me that it is 'Busy', and if I drill down to the Process Flow Run Execution Report, I see an identical Start and End Time, an Elapsed Time of 0 seconds, and no other details (Execution Parameters, Activity Details or Error Messages).
Looking under 'Find Processes' on the Workflow Home Page, my workflow has no status in the Process List. Drilling down to the Diagram, I have a green line from the 'Start' element to my Mapping but the Mapping itself has no special colour.
I go back to the Deployment Manager and cancel the job - which it does and reports that it 'Completed with errors'.
The Runtime Repository Browser Execution Report now tells me that it is 'Busy' (with an information bubble), and if I drill down to the Process Flow Run Execution Report, I see different Start and End Times, and Elapsed Time of n seconds, a single Error Message 'RPE-01002: The operation was aborted at user request.', and no other details (Execution Parameters, Activity Details).

Hello Steve,
It's a little difficult to read the exact flow from your ASCII graphics.
However, from your description it seems your workflow task only has an outgoing success connector, and your execution was not a success. This will stop the execution of that branch of your process flow, since there are no valid routes to take. If you only have a single branch in your workflow, the process flow is stuck.
To expedite your hung process you just click on the task icon in the Workflow Monitor graph window that does not have a green outgoing connector, press the Expedite button and select skip.
Corollary: If you use conditional connectors, always use all 3 from a task. I not using all 3, have a very good understanding of why you don't.

Of the second and third scripts, the latter could perhaps be deemed the "most secure"; however, it might block more than you want. If you really want to use one of those, then I'd suggest using the second script. Otherwise, I'd recommend that you take a look here. (I only slightly examined the first script.... I do not understand the language of the comments, and I'm no iptables whiz. )
Also, note that you don't have to use an actual script to set up the rules; rather, you can save the rules you want to a file that will be read by iptables automatically (/etc/iptables/iptables.rules). Here's a modified version of mine:

Of course, there are benefits to keeping the rules in a script. For instance, you could then easily set the default iptables rules, allow all traffic, etc. Plus, some firewall-related things (such as the various echo commands in the scripts you provided) cannot (to my knowledge) be done by iptables alone.
If you already have a script that sets up the rules you would like to use, you can save yourself the hassle of creating a rules file by following the directions outlined here.

Even If we have large transcation on the oracle database But we can restart the database within minutes by using services.msc But It will take more time in command prompt(sql>shu immediate). So shall we assume here that services.msc is using shut abort command while restarting the database?

Problem in Viewing Application service methods through Service Browser.

I have an Application Service (ReadFundDetails) which contains some Operations
1> createFundAtSA
2> updateFundAtSA
But I cant see the operations under the Application Service through service browser.
I have deployed the project in two diff server. But the same problem persists in both the server. All the class files under the jar file have been generated successfully. There is no build issue. I have undeployed the project then build and redeploy but still the problem comes.
I have another project for which i can see the Application Service operations successfully.

CAF service browser is based on CAF Web Dynpro model which has several limilations. To check the operations working properly create a web service for the app service test from the wsnavigator.

You need to understand how IPMP is used within Sun Cluster. Start reading at

for a brief description. In a nutshell - the IPMP group is providing availability on the interface level for each node, so that a single NIC failure is not resulting into a service loss.
The IP adresses you configure directly (ie. via /etc/hostname.* setup) are always considered local to a given node.
In order to configure highly available IP adresses, which move between nodes and which should be used for the application you make highly available, you must use the SUNW.LocgicalHostaname or SUNW.SharedAdress resource types. Have a look at

Bing Maps REST route service - java classes

I am able to use the WSDL to generate the classes required to hit the SOAP Web Service. But it appears that the classes generated using the SOAP service do not match the classes used for the REST service. How
can I generate the Java classes required for hitting the REST Route Web Service. I am able to call the REST service and get an XML or JSON response, but having issues creating the objects with the data returned.

The REST and SOAP services are completely different. The SOAP services were created about 8 years ago and the REST services about 4 years ago. The REST services have a bunch more features and functionalities. There are a couple of ways you can consume the
Bing Maps REST services in Java. The first is to manually parse the responses. Here are some examples:

Invoking CFCs that extend mapped CFCs through the flex2gateway

I’ve run into an issue with my CFCs and I’m hoping someone can tell me why this is happening.
Here is my setup in this scenario:
I have a mapping for my CFCs on my local CF Server where Logical Path /CFC maps to C:\ColdFusion8\common\CFC
The folder C:\ColdFusion8\common\CFC contains one file test.cfc. The file test.cfc is an empty component (<cfcomponent></cfcomponent>)
I have a proxy CFC in my webroot’s proxy folder at C:\ColdFusion8\wwwroot\proxy\pxTestMapping.cfc pxTestMapping.cfc extends CFC.Test which uses the logical path CFC referenced above pointing specifically to the file test.cfc.
I have created a service in Flex that works with pxTestMapping.cfc On load of the application I run a method HelloWorld from pxTestMapping.cfc. The helloWorld method just returns the string “Hello World”. I have a button that you can click to see the resulting string in Flex.
I can load the method directly in the browser and it works, I can also test and confirm that the Flex application works and the expected string does alert when the button is clicked. If I then go into the pxTestMapping.cfc file and update the string returned to read “Hello World Updated” and hit save, the CFC will error the next time I run the flex application. The error message states “Unable to invoke CFC – Could not find the ColdFusion Component or Interface CFC.Test”. If I then run the Hello World Method directly in the browser (http://localhost:8500/proxy/pxTestMapping.cfc?method=HelloWorld) The component does not error, instead it returns the expected string. From that point forward the flex app will also work, until I make another change to pxTestMapping at which time I will receive the above message until I manually access the webservice through a web browser. I have duplicated this issue on both my local development environment and on my staging server.
How can I get the CFC to invoke correctly after modification without having to directly access the webservice in my browser?

I started with an empty Data/Services view and clicked the link "Connect to Data/Service" I selected ColdFusion, browsed to the CFC in the ColdFusion Component section and used the default service name and package that it created. I clicked next, entered my login information and clicked Finish on the screen that showed the operations in the service.
I tried this with the original beta SDK, 4.0.0.10434 and 4.0.0.4904
The original issue described used the original beta SDK
4.0.0.4904 & 4.0.0.10434 errored with VerifyError #1014: Class IVisualELement could not be found, ReferenceError: #1065: Variable CrossFade_CrossFadeShaderClass is not defined, ReferenceError: #1065: Variable Wipe_WipeShaderClass is not defined, and ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable _2e124f77eedc07babaa6f5d7b8f173c364f54221c2a0cd01c6886c90f93a6fbf_flash_display_Sprite is not defined. Additionally, every time I edited anything, the Flash Builder app returned an error that said "An internal build error has occurred. Right-click for more information" which seems to require a restart of Flash Builder to resolve.
I didn't have time to continue trying to figure out what about my code, setup or plugin was causing all those problems with the SDKs, so I gave up with testing in them.
I attached the MXML file I used and the cfc I used in my tests.

Update key mapping via web service

Hi ,
I have a question about edit key mapping. The problem is that we create vendors in MDM and syndicate them to different ERP systems. To decide which system a new vendor/changes must be send to, I need the Edit Key Mapping, but the users do not want to enter this information manually and I do not see how I can create key mapping automatically.
We are working on a new solution where vendors are entered in sharepoint and updated in MDM via web services. I would like to know if one of you know if key mapping can be maintained via a web service.
