Mapping connections

In the weblog /people/prasad.illapani/blog/2007/04/20/performance-tuning-checks-in-sap-exchange-infrastructurexi-part-ii it says:
Note that the outbound queues also does mapping requests pipeline step, where the number of mapping connections must match the number of outbound queues and the j2ee engine must be able to handle the parallel requests.
How to check the number of mapping connections that are available in PI box ?
thanks
kumar

Hi,
If you read the comment posted by Gabriel in the same blog then you will get the below ans;
>The mapping request is executed by the dialog work process which executes the pipeline program: PLSRV_MAPPING_REQUEST in the integration server, via the JCO Runtime connection (Tr:SM59): AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER which has a program id: AI_RUNTIME_SID.
>
>This program ID is created in the J2ee engine under the JCORFCPROVIDER Service. One of the parameter in this service has the Number of Connections. You mention the value here. This process is part of the Post Installation Steps during Installation of Integration Server.
Some times most of the questions/doubts are solved just by going through the blog comments.

  • Xcelsius xml map connection error [local xml file]

xcelsius 2008 SP1 (loaded by IT dept)
I am having issues with an xml map connection after I export to flash. The xml data file is local so the URL is (C:\Documents and Settings\..\Desktop\file.xml). It works fine in preview. I reasearched the topic and it all points to flash security settings but how can that be since everything is local. I'm doing this on my computer an nothing else.
Do i still need to change the flash security setting (crossdomain.xml) even when I am trying to access just local file? If so does that mean that I need to create one of these crossdomain files in my C: directory. Because that doesn't sound right.

Thank you Matt, this solved the issue!
This is a quick summary for those having the same issue in the future. (I know it helped me when I was using the search feature to have a follow up post from the original poster)
    - accessing local files during preview is a little different from accessing after you export to a swf file.
    - This is due to security settings on flash
    - when trying to access a local file you must add the swf file (flash) that xcelsius created to the secure list on you flash settings
    - Please read the short guide provided by Matt (above) for more details
    Again, thank you Matt!

  • Mapi connection behaviour between two sites-Exchange 2010

    Hello,
I have small doubt, need help from you guys,
    i have two sites A, B,  DAG is span over the two sites;
Both site has array Of different FQDN
site A has active copies, its PASSIVE copies are in site-B
i have witnesserver in third location
if Active mailbox database in Site-A fails, passive copy on Site-B will become active;  i guess
My question is ===>  without downtime or without MANUAL Task, will mapi connection goes to site-B copy ??? ,

    Hi,
In Cross Site maintainence we, have to work out mainly on Database Activation Coordination Mode(DAC) which avoids the split brain syndrome.
below URL's gives you clear vision on how we can do that and what it is for.

  • Message Mapping - connection time out

    Hi ,
I hae just created a message mapping and when I click on Test tab and load a payload in source and try to test the mapping , it gives me connection time out error from java...
What could be wrong ? Mapping involves an XML to IDOC .
    Cheers,

    Hello,
I think so (Experts, please correct me if I'm wrong). Before, we had a scenario in which the external definition was about 960kb. It really did post issues when testing in the message mapping itself. There are three options:
a.) Use less detail in your sample message mapping, in this way you can correct the error in the mapping itself.
    or
b.) Test in operation mapping, and then do the correction in message mapping afterwards. If the testing is successful, make sure that you don't click the drop down icon. Instead, export the result as a zip file and then extract it. (if this hangs, go for c)
    or
    c.) Test at runtime
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • UCCX E-Mail MAPI Connection Limit

Wanted to poll the userbase out there utilizing UCCX E-Mail. My question is did you complete the Exchange registry steps to set the MAPI session limit to 2,400 connections per user?
If not, what is your currently set at? Do you experience any issues?

    Hi,
no, actually it is just a simple SMTP session without any queuing capabilities.
    You have two options:
    1. (easy) set up a small SMTP server with queuing capabilities someplace near the UCCX server,
    2. (challenging) before using the Send Email step, make a copy of all emails, for instance, in a database, and make the same script delete this row when it exits on the Successful branch of the Send Email step. If for any reason the send fails, the email remains in the database and you can use any Python/Perl/**your favorite language here** script to periodically check for these rows and send them.

  • Can I stop Google Maps connecting to network/inter...

    Hi
    5800XM
Can I prevent this ? Unlike other apps (browser, OperaMini etc.), GoogleMaps just launches straight away.
Is this because it just uses the GPS on start up, or is it downloading data as soon as it launches ?
I can't find a setting within the app which makes it ask me whether to open connection or not.
    thanks

The actual ovi maps app can function reasonably well with no internet connection (limited POI's and basic address search) as long as the maps are pre-installed before you go.
The GPS performance could range from ok to totally useless depending on the location if A-GPS is disabled. What you are likely to encounter is a long wait for a GPS lock when you first use it in the US, could be over an hour. After that it may struggle to keep a lock being effected by tall buildings, trees, or other obstructions.
I strongly recommend you use the phone with an external bluetooth GPS receiver if you plan to use it without A-GPS. I've used the Nokia LD-4W and it outperforms the built in GPS and gives performance/accuracy that's more like a dedicated sat nav device. Other non-nokia GPS devices are compatible.

  • OVI Maps Connectivity

1- I am not sure that I successfully installed the new OVI Maps version yesterday.  How can I check to see what version I have?
2- When I press the OVI Maps button, I get a small temporary message saying that I am connected to t-mobile, my provider.  Next time I go to Europe, I would like to use OVI Maps as my GPS.  How do I ensure that I am not permanently connected to a European provider which will run into the hundreds of dollars for a long period of connectivity?
3- When I tried the connection I was at home where I have wi-fi.  Why did the telephone no use the wi-fi connection which is the number one priority in the connectivity list?
4- Will OVI Maps not use a provider connection if I am outside my regular provider and instead rely on the satellite GPS function?
5- Is there any way to ensure that the satellite GPS function is always selected?
    Thank you.

Hi cai12, you seem to have your answers, but before worrying about your data charges in europe I'd check what they cost ? I went to Portugal using Vodafone last Oct and using Nav for a couple of hours, Facebook, Twitter and Pixelpipe only a couple of times a day, only put about £5 on my monthly bill (away for a week). Also to use maps with NO data charge all you need to do is to go to applications folder and select Location>Positioning>Positioning methods, and 'un-tick' everything except integrated GPS and in settings in the Maps application hit the spanner in the bottom left corner, open Internet and set Connection to Offline, and then you will use Zero data for navigation, but as already said it will take much longer for the GPS to get a lock on your position using the GPS antenna to find position on it's own,
    Good Luck

  • Drive Map " Connect as" option is disabled

    Hi
I've a strange problem with my group policies. I cannot set "Connect as" credentials for my drive map preferences.
Now what should i do ?

Have you installed  KB2928120 or KB2961899 on this server?
Due to security reasons, MS block the ability to store passwords on some GPP options:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2962486
You can try edit this GPP in other server without those KBs if you really need it and willing to give up security.

  • Maps connecting to net

hi i was wondering if anyone knows how to stop your phone from connecting to net when using maps on N95

You can change the online settings from within Maps itself. I use Maps 2.0, if you still have 1.2 the menu structure is slightly different, but something like:
Options>Tools>Settings>Internet then change the option 'Go online at startup' to 'Always ask' or 'no'.
I use the always ask settings so I don't have to mess about with settings if I'm updating licences or anything like that, but I never use the online option when navigating.
Also, you can switch off the A-GPS function from the phone menu:
Menu>Tools>Settings>General>Positioning>positioning methods, then untick Assisted GPS.

  • Purchasing map connection error

Hey guys, when i first got my N82 phone about 2 months ago i purchased purchased navigation for a week and downloaded the Australia maps. Everything pretty much worked fine.. at the time i purchased the navigation license using a WLAN connection.
Now when i try to purchase further navigation, and it tries connecting to the server, i keep getting connection errors, after the 'updating software' screen. I've tried using WLAN, mobile internet connection, and pretty much any other one possible.
Anyone got the same problem or a solution?
    Cheers

    Hi pratzz
One solution may be to try out Nokia Maps 2.0 here:
    http://www.nokia.com/betalabs/maps
It is a new installation so will require setting up a network connection afresh.
Another solution might have been to hard reset your N82 so returning to "factory settings" provided essential phone data is backed up first.

  • Ovi maps connecting to internet at start-up

I don't want Ovi maps on my N8 to connect to internet at start-up, All settings are unmarked at positioning. My servicepoint says, it cannot be done, to prevent Ovi connecting at startup with the latest update, Anna, 024.001
    Is this true or not?
I tried everything but I cannot get rid of it.

    thanks Hans for the advice.
Seems Nokia is so selfopinionated that they think that everyone must connect to the internet.
But if I want to, I like to know for myself if I like to be connected to the internet or not, I want to choose myself, not nokia.
I have had Nokia's for years and years but if the competition comes with a phone, with the same camera quality, I will never buy a nokia again. Same is with the OVI program, it misses the option to work around in my agenda on my pc via bluetooth. Lucky I found out that PC suite v7.1.30.9 does still do that with the N8.
And last but not least, bluetooth is not working properly, communicating with my PC and my car. 5 times out of 10 it won't connect with my pc. I've to disable and enable bluetooth on my phone and then it connects with my pc. In my car, it looses connection while calling, after 3-10 minutes.
To bad because I do like the N8, for the rest.
Think I'll wait for the next update to Belle, if it will come for the N8 and see what happens.
