Mapping log without SXMB_MONI_BPE?

Hi
I have a integration process that occasionally lasts for hours. For business users to be able to handle any errors in the process i have built in a "log" message that is update during the process execution - the message is not sent anywhere before the process ends. Everything works fine until in a message mapping occasionally the log message contents is lost. Something that I can not help (a XI bug).
I have managed to find the message with SXMB_MONI_BPE... finding the mapping and opening input messages. But a few days ago a situation arose where before mentioned transaction could not open the full "graphical" log of a process - the process lasted for about 3 hours and a time out is reached. So I am unable to open the mapping container where I can find the messages.
So the question is... Is there any other tools/transaction to find a message that was created in a business process and that has note moved out from it?
When I browse for some steps in the result listing of SXMB_MONI_BPE, then the item display shows only the time of execution and result of processing.
So is there (a/another) way to read a message from a process log?
Thanks for any hints...

Hi,
if you send many messages from this process you will see
the message in SXI_MONITOR - all of them
but processes lasts for 3 hours is pretty long...
maybe you can check the desing once more
and so something better ?

  • Capturing Batch Input Log without keeping BDC session

    Hi all -
Would like to capture the Batch Input log and keep it persistent in some manner (for example using an application log) without keeping the corresponding BDC session.  The reason for this is that any manual corrections to data interfaces through BDC sessions MUST be logged indefinitely for audit purposes.  The actual BDC sessions are HUGE and therefore precludes saving the entire BDC session.  My thoughts are user-exit'ing in BDC session either as a Batch Input Log is being created or when a Session is being deleted (NOTE: running ECC 6.0 which has new enhancement concept permitting extremely flexible user-exit'ing so exit points are NOT an issue and repair/core mode not required).  Anyone see any flaws with this approach or can recommend perhaps a simpler or standard approach so that Batch Input Logs are retained indefinitely whereas the Session is deleted?
    Many thanks,
    Pat

    Hi Pat,
    Why dont you try archiving?
For archiving, archive object BDCLOGPROD can be used. if archived, then you can read the archived logs using program RSBDC_ARCHREAD (also accessible from SARA->Read).
See some notes if it is helpful:

Also have a look at the Data Management Guide available at service.sap.com/data-archiving.

  • SM35P - Logs without sessions

    Dear All,
In SM35P (Batch Input - Log Overview), there are two options,
    1. Logs with session
    2. Logs without session
To my understanding, Session will be created with BDC (Session method). Please explain me what is meant by "Logs without session" & in what scenarios, these will be used & so on. Please throw some light on this query.
    Thanks,
    Vamsi

    Thanks guys.
Not sure how to use RSTS0030 - there appears to be no way to select individual entries once the list has been displayed, and clicking 'delete selected' doesn't do anything...
However, we have managed to clear these by doing the following:
Go to the "Logs without sessions" tab. Double click on each item and make a note of the TemSe ID.
Now open a new session (don't close this one) and run transaction SP12. Select Goto-> TemSe contents from the menu and enter the TemSe ID from before. Make sure that the date is set to a valid date. Click 'list objects'. Select the object and click 'delete'.
Now go back to your SM35 screen. Come back out so you are on the 'logs without sessions' tab then right click and choose to APQL consistency. It might take quite a long while to bring up.
Search for the TemSe ID(s) in the list, click the tick box for each one, and then delete selections.
Go back and they should have gone (may need to refresh).

  • How do I search and work in the map module without losing my selection

I'm going through my old photographs that predate geotracking and adding my best guess as to their locations via the  map module but I'm getting frustrated.
My biggest angst is the selections.  In the library module, I look around and find a set of photographs that were taken at the same place and I select them.  I then go to the map module and move found, sometimes search, for the place where the photographs were taken.  Now, I go back to drop the selection into the map and ... OH NO!!! .. there is no selection.  Double angst is I click back in Library and I'm scrolled all the way to the start of my group of photographs.
Deselecting the photos is the biggest UI mistake that Lightroom is making in this sequence.  I'm wondering if there is something that I can do to either prevent it or perhaps have a second method of a quick temporary group of photographs.
The other related question I have is if anyone has a suggestion of how to mark these photos as the type of GPS information.  e.g. it could come from the camera, it could come via a track log, or it could be just my best guess.  Perhaps that is already possible to determine.

When you find the photos you want that were taken in a single location, select them and put them in a Quick Collection (press B)
Then select the Quick Collection and go to the Map Module with the filmstrip turned on. You will then be able to work ONLY with this set of photos that are taken in one location

  • When using a personal dropbox account, is it possible to use the mapped drive without downloading all my dropbox files to my hard drive as well?

When using a personal (not business) dropbox account on my mac book pro, is it possible to use the mapped drive only?  Currently I have dropbox mapped to my computer but it is also saving a redundant copy of the data on my hard drive.  My goal is to pull, edit and save files on the mapped drive only without having a redundant back up of all my dropbox files on my computer wasting valuable storage space.   Any advice out there?  Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't believe that is accurate, but maybe I am missing something (I am not a Windows user).
Looking at 2 explanation of how to map a Dropbox as a drive…
    http://lkeng.org/wp/?p=147
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5d8uvseVr5A
Both of those are linking to the 'local copy' of Dropbox. It is not a true 'network' drive as far as I can see (it still requires the local copy on the PC).
Another video suggests using another service to mount the Dropbox, but that is not using Dropbox anymore, it is going through Otixo…
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAIpm2qmglU
Dropbox does not provide easy to use URL's to mount as a network disk so I don't think this is possible on OS X.
    Dropbox's forum has this too…
    https://www.dropboxforum.com/hc/communities/public/questions/202133795-How-to-ma p-dropbox-as-a-network-drive-on-Mac?loca…
You may need to examine the Windows computers carefully - if they have Dropbox installed & running then all the files are stored on the local machine in addition to the 'mapped drive'.
It looks to me like people are 'redirecting' the local copy to appear like a remote disk just so they can address that path on other machines - each PC is being setup the same. You could create aliases on OS X, but it doesn't help move files off the machine.
Hopefully someone else will contradict me, but I don't think this is how Dropbox works.

  • Mapping executes without error, but does nothing.

I've created 21 mappings. 20 mappings work flawlessly and one gives me headaches!
The mapping is from type: PLSQL.
It's using an external table to access an 554MB textfile. The OS is RedHat Enterprise Linux WS release 3, Oracle 9.2.0.5, OWB 9.2 + latest patch.
When I validate the mapping -> everything is okay.
When I execute the mapping via OEM -> Success message -> in audit browser: 0 rows inserted.
When I execute the mapping manually -> Success message -> 0 rows inserted.
When I look at the target table -> 0 rows.
When I do "select count(*) from external_table_20", I get the correct count for records!
When I do "create table temp1 as select * from external_table_20 where 1 = 0" I get the correct table structure.
When I do "insert into temp1 select * from external_table_20", sqlplus blocks for about 10 seconds, but then there are 0 records inserted.
There are no errors in the kernels logfiles (no read, write or media errors).
There is no error message in SQLplus.
There is no entire in the alert file of the database.
    It just does nothing!
I drop the mapping, the target table and the external table -> and recreated them again (one at a time) -> Same as above. I can count the external_table but the mapping doesn't insert any data. I still can't insert the table on myself.
So, what can I do now? There is enough space on every tablespace left -> just in case I extended all of them to make sure there will be at least twice as much space as 554 MB (the size of the textfile).
Its ervy strange that there is not a single error message or warning!

    Art,
The external tables are tricky because if you make one trivial mistake when describing the records (such as a wrong field length or type), the end result will be that the query against the FT will return no errors, but there will be zero or some weard number of records returned. I suggest to check again the record description and to try to select from the external table (after it is deployed) from SQL plus.
Also, when configuring the flat file in OWB you can define the log file that will trace FT creation errors during deployment and a Bad file name that will direct the database to write records not fitting into the FT definition to the location specified in 'Bad file name'.
These configuration parameters can be of help when struggling with the issues mentioned above.

  • Value Mapping Log in Server

    Hi,
Whenever we execute the sceanrio with the value which is not specified in our Value Mapping Table we are getting this following error in our Log.
    The error is attached below.
Error During value mapping Thrown: com.sap.aii.ibrun.server.valueMapping.DBValMapPersistor$NoGuidException: Context = http://sap.com/xi/XI, agency = Slot, scheme = Appointment, and value = ALLDAY not found at com.sap.aii.ibrun.server.valueMapping.DBValMapPersistor.getGroupIdEx(DBValMapPersistor.java:656) at com.sap.aii.ibrun.server.valueMapping.DBValMapPersistor.findMappings(DBValMapPersistor.java:553) at
Can you please me in this situation as it si bit important.
Is there any way that i can make this error not shown in the server log.
    Thanks
    Suja

    Hello Suja,
you have to change the settings in the log configurator. Set the locations
    com.sap.aii.ibrun.server.valueMapping and com.sap.aii.mappingtool.flib3.ValueMapping
to severity "Fatal". After this these errors should not be inserted into the default trace anymore.

  • Will maps work without phone or 3G signal....

If I preload a route will maps still work even if I lose phone/3G signal? Stupid question I think, but I just want to make sure before I set off on a long journey which I know will be pants for phone signal. Thanks

Keep wifi and the mobile radio turned on and you should be good.
Location services needs those active to figure out the location without a nearby tower.
Also, Google Maps lets you save map areas for offline usage.

  • Using google map polygon without map

    Hallo
i use a polygon ( com.google.maps.overlays.Polygon) in a value object (fieldData) besides other data, later in the programm the polygons are displayed in a google map.
    new FieldData(".....","1",new Polygon([
                        new LatLng(49.70624852,8.17595987),
                        new LatLng(49.70634712,8.17589098),
                        new LatLng(49.7063722,8.17708855),
                        new LatLng(49.70627548,8.17720608),
                        new LatLng(49.70624852,8.17595987)]
i instantiate the value objects on programm start and i get this error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
         at com.google.maps.overlays::Polygon()
It seems like i get this error because there isnt a google map object existing at that time on programm start. so i changed my code to call this methode on programm start before creating my value_Objects:
    protected function initMap(): void
                        var map:Map = new Map();
                        map.key = "...................";
                        map.enabled=false;
                        map.visible=false;
                        addElement( map );
it works! but i dont like the code, i dont need that map object at that time and not in the main component. so i made it invisible.... isnt there a better way to use polygons without having a map-object?

  • Logging without Transaction Support?

Can I use the the logging system to provide durability without using transactions. I want to have a simple key/value store that can survive system and application crashes and will be multithreaded. I will only be updating one key/value pair.
    thanks

    Hello,
Transactions are required for durability. In other words if you want your modifications
to persist in the event of application or system failure the application will need to
make use of transactions. This is discussed in the, "Getting Started with Berkeley
    DB Transaction Processing" Guide at:

  • Alerts in case of XSLT Mapping failure without BPM

    Dear All,
We are working on IDOC - SOAP Scenario and mapping is through XSLT Mapping.
when the Vendor number field in IDOC is coming blank/invalid, the mapping should fail and an email alert should go to business.
This IDOC-SOAP is Asynchronous and not using any BPM. So can we raise a alerts withut using BPM.
I have gone through some blogs but I can see the alerts in Inbox but where as I want the alert through EMAIL.
    Any pointers are highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Srini

    Dear Srinivas,
When you want the Alert to be send through email, then you need to configure the required mentioned below.
1.In SU01 ,Assign the corresponding Email ID for the Recipient of the ALERT.
    2. In , RWB>ALERT INBOX> PERSONALIZATION--> Go to Time Independent Delivery and  check the Email option.
    3. Go to the transaction  code SCOT,INT->SMTP and mention the corresponding  Mail Host and Port in SMTP Address. Then select the set in the Internet of supported Address Types and give mail address in the Address area.

  • Displaying Jobs Status and Logs without using SM37

    Hello All,
First of all, thanks a lot for your time.
We're being asked by the Audit Team to remove tcode SM37 from our Job Roles. Although I agree with them that users should not have "change" or broad display access for the tcode, some of them need to check other user's Jobs status, as well as their Job Logs (which I have managed to restrict using auth. object S_BTCH_JOB).
My question is: do you know if there's any alternative way or a transaction different than SM37 to display other user's Jobs status and Job Logs?
We're providing SMX for user's own jobs, but I have not been able to find an alternative way than using a restricted version of SM37 for displaying other people's Jobs status and Job Logs.
    Best regards,
    CMPT

You can either create your own monitor locally ( see transaction RZ20) or develop it on your own (see FM BP_JOB_STATUS_GET).
If you want to use SM37 then you can add SHOW to S_BTCH_JOB but this might be problematic in combination with RELE (of their own jobs).
[SAP Note 568963|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/568963] will be able to help you further.
    Cheers,
    Julius
