Mapping not working, but works in debug

Hi everyone,
Got a strange problem with a simple mapping. The mapping does a Truncate of the target table and then must insert in that table from a view. The view via a dblink. When I run the mapping in debug everything seem fine, it does what it is meant for. Then I run the same mapping from the design center or in a workflow, it does the truncate table but do not insert any row and return with success (apperently no errors). When run directly from the database it does fine.
How to find out where is the problem.

The mapping consist of 4 operators : a constant for the name of the table (the staging tabke) to truncate, a premapping (WB_TRUNCATE_TABLE), a view from the production side via dblink with the data to insert into a staging table.
a very basic mapping, then of course other mapping will load and transform into a target table(fact table).
If i run the mapping in debug in owb it does the job and data is inserted into the staging table, when run from the package generated in the db it works fine, but when i run from owb design center or in his processflow (at night) nothing but the truncate gets done.
By the way this mapping has always worked till I decided to test another view that instead of bringing back all the data from production, it returns a delta instead, so basically just a WHERE CLAUSE was added to the old view.
