Mapping of different SAP Clients

I would like to know that My Company A (SAP system) would like to buy New Company B (which is also SAP ) and Company C (Non-SAP) , we would like to integrate all these systems to get consolidated information ( especially financial information ) and we also do not want to disturb present individual companies.
Is there any approaches for consolidation of SAP Clients.

There are some tools for the same but then consolidation especially across geographies and accounting standards is not as easy as clicking a button and voila!!
Also does Integrate mean - a merger ? / a buyout ? and will the companies merge under one company name after that or exist as different companies ?
If they are going to exist a different companies - then you could look at a unified reporting standard between the companies that could be used to report consolidated data / BCS or on the lines of the same.
If it is change of company name and an integration in that perspective - it would become that more complex by way of legal requirements.
You could however try and see if the big 4 have anything on it - especially KPMG which does a lot of work on the SAP side of things also might have something.

Sender RFC adapter - Tight coupling to an SAP client

Hi ,
We are using a sender RFC adapter to receive a RFC request from SAP , process the request in XI and then send back a response to SAP.
Our requirement is that , this request may come from different SAP clients(client 100, 130 , 200 etc). Looks like RFC adapter configured under a Business System in XI cannot listen to calls from multiple clients and works for only one client. We get dumps in SAP when invoking this RFC from other clients.
Also i hear that the same program id cannot be used in two different RFC sender adapters, meaning i have to create a different RFC destination , create a different program id for each client in SAP.
Is there a way around for this issue ?

Hi Saravana,
you may try a little workaround:
configure your rfc adapter only with client 100
and try invoking RFC from clients: 130 , 200
on the client 100 first (with a dummy RFC on client 100)
and then from this dummy RFC on client 100 you can start your standard RFC with your rfc adapter
don't know any other way:)

i try to connect to cFolders-Settings using Portal Drive, but i need to switch between two different SAP-Clients on the same server. How can i tell the Portal Drive to connect to a specific SAP-Client?

The configuration is okay,
i try connecting to Service /default_host/sap/bc/kw/cfs. This works for standard SAP-Client 001. But now i try to connect to cfolders-Settings (Service /default_host/sap/bc/kw/cfs) for SAP-Client 421. Do i have to create an external alias?

SAP Client to the SAP Server: internal Error (-1102)[Message 131-183]

We are using Windows 2008 Server R2, SQL 2008 Standard, SAP B1 8.81 PL08.
When we trying to connect SAP Client to the SAP Server. There has internal Error (-1102) occurred. We can view the database on client, but we always get the same error message after enter the User ID and Password. We have checked the native client and it is installed and also opened the following ports: 1433, 30000, 30001. We have tried to open all of firewall, but itu2019s no use.
When I set a computer in to the engine room and set the network connection, this one can connect SAP Client to the SAP Server.
But when client connect to server by VPN, the IP address will not in the same section. Then We tried to set the IP address has the same network section with the server, but it's still disable.
I set a computer for SAP Server without firewall, complex network, virtual IP and no router in my office. And use a SAP Client which is in different network domain to connect to SAP Server by internet, not VPN, but the SAP Client still canu2019t connect to SAP Server. I get the same internal Error (-1102).
It can not only ping to SAP Server IP, but telnet to the port 1433, 30000, 30001, 445.
When I use a pc with server tools, it can connect to the SAP Server by the localhost license. But if I use a computer only install client and assign the server license. The latter one always got the error.
How could we solve this problem? Is there has another setting I am missing which might be blocking the connection?

Hi,
We are using VPN and using Terminal Licensing or Remote Desktop Conneciton.
The idea here is VPN will connect you to the network and when you are connected to the network
dont use the direct LAN IP connection use the Terminal Licensing to connect.
Again both are needed VPN and Terminal Licensing. VPN for the connection and if successfully connected
use or connect from Terminal Licensing or Remote Desktop connections.

Is it possible to do message mapping using different namespace message type

Hi all,
Is it possible to do message mapping using different namespaces message types
Example :
i am having message type MT_1 in namespace http://sap.com/abc
and second message type MT_2 in namespace http://partner.com/xyz
so MT_1 can be mapped with MT_2 or not having different namespace.

Dynamic scrap mapping in to SAP

Hai All,
I am having scenario like this... for finished product based on the order qty system should take different assembly srap percentage like. For order qty 0 to 100 it is 10% , From 100 to 200 it is 20% , from above 200 it is 15% like this. Is there a way to map this in SAP.

Did you try to maintain the Assmbly scrpe % in MRP1 view ??
Maintain the same and create the Production Order .It will automatically increase the Order Qty and you can find scrap portion and percenatge in CO02.
If you have already created PO and now maintaing Assmbly scarpe at MRP1 for FG , then call the Read PP master date before Goods Issu happend againt the PO (Status should nto be GMPS )

1)what is the differnce between ValueMappingReplication(Asynchronous) and ValueMappingReplicationSynchronous .
when we will use them.
2) Message type ValueMappingReplication contains Operation ,GroupId,Context,scheme,agency.
what is the meaning of Operation??
what is the use of group ID??
is this necessary to maintain all these values in Ztable and also source and target values ?? and use them in Abap aproxy logic??
3) is there any Message Mapping Needed.?? and Interface Mapping Needed to implement value Mapping replication??

In sync you will get the value mapping replication status back and in async you won't. In sync based on the response u can update again in case of any failure. If data size is large use async.

The operation that you are going to perform. Below is the operations list and the contents to be set in the message for the same
Insert = all fields must be set;
Delete =all fields must be set;
DeleteGroup = fields GroupID and context must be set;
DeleteContext = field Context must be set;
DeleteContextGeneric = Context contains the starting part for the context to be deleted

no. system creates the value mapping table. you can take it frm there. no need of any ztables.

You will be sending the value mapping data from a sender system. If it can sent in the same format not required, otherwise you will have to.

Any adapter...depends on the sender system.

Best practice for C# WCF Webservice To Be Consumed By Many SAP Clients

Hi Experts,
I am making a web service for an online payment site that will push payments made to our customers SAP systems. I am reading through the documentation how how to get sap to take in the wsdl and that all looks pretty straight forward. While I am waiting for the SAP trial to install can anyone give me some pointers to get me started in the right direction for a web service that can be consumed by possibly different versions and definitely different instances of SAP at different companies.
I am looking to do something similar to what can be down with the Quick books web connector although I realize SAP is a much more complex piece to work with.
I am a very experienced .net programmer and really just need some high level directions from anyone who has seen something similar to what I am building.

Ya as I was typing my message I realized I probably wasn't going to need the .net connector since I want a very generic service that basically just hands off the payment details to SAP.
As for what is going to consume the webservice ideally it would be independent of the type of SAP being used since potentially serveral different SAP installations would be able to access the service.
For the first version I am making the service be consumed by SAP Netweaver 7 Trial version. My company has a few clients using SAP lined up already to use the service once it is working but I don't know yet what version of SAP they each run.
If that is not possible I will either have to make a separate webservice for each type of SAP or else go another route and perhaps send the data as xml to SAP and let it import it on its own.
Right now I am playing around with the SOA manager, is that where the SAP PI is or am I on the wrong track.
I'll keep posting to this thread as I go along so someone in the future doing something similar can benefit.

Mapping DEPB in SAP

We need to map DEPB in SAP. We need to record various info like expiry date, Purchase Value, Actual Value, Port. Also wee need to pay off the custom duty using the DEPB.

My client purchases DEPB from the open market which he uses to pay off the custom duty while importing the goods. Since it is purchase from the open market therefore he gets some profitability on it as well. eg. One DEPB number xxxxxx has a value of INR 100000 (ie this DEPB can be used to pay off the custom duty of INR 100000) but he can buy it in the open market for 80,000 INR. This means he has made a profit of 20000 INR on this individual DEPB license. Moreover since various information is linked with this DEPB like : License number, Port where it can be used, expiry date, bought from etc, we need to capture all these information somewhere.
And the client also uses these DEPB( normally they are more then one in most cases) to pay off the import duties to the custom authorities.

Users are not able to access two different SAP portals at a time

Hi Experts,
Users are not able to access two different SAP portals at a time, if users login the OLD SAP Portal then they are not able to access NEW SAP Production Portal asking user id's & Password while doing ECC & APO transactions.
If user clear the Internet Explorer cache then for time being they can access but its not the permanant solution.
Can any one please help me on this.

Question about SAP client setting when create new connection in CR2008

Dear All,
I have a question about SAP client setting in Crystal Report 2008 when I try to create a new connection use SAP OpenSQL(SAP Table,Cluster,or Function).
I have a SAP IDES environment with 5 clients.
While I try to create a CR standard report use SAP OpenSQL, I entered 800 into Client field in u201CUser logon credentialsu201D. The connection can be created and I can get table list. After I built a report ,I can not get data from IDES client 800, but I can get data from client 000.
I am sure client 800 has data.I checked client 800 table with Tcord se16.
I also did other tests and felt confused a lot.
Even inexistent client, such as u201C00u201Dand u201C8000u201D can be used for creating connection.
I just want to know how can I get data from client 800.

I am not sure about your suggestion clearly. What's your mean all the authorizations to use CR?
Maybe I should clarify my operations.
I logon CR2008 as administrator and created two SAP connections with different client.
There is a table named "/BEV3/CHBALLG" be showed in these connections.
I checked clients "000" and "800" both have data in the table.
I can use client 000 connection create report and get right data, but the report base on client 800 connection could not get data.
If change to another table,such as "/SAPDMC/LSOFIL", I can get data both form these connections.
I found one thing is very weird. Client "00" and "8000" do not exist in my IDES environment, but I can use them for creating connection.
May I have your further suggestions?

Different SAP mount points reaching to 99% full

Hi Masters,
Presently i am working on different Solaris implemented SAP Clients.
o/s --> Solaris
DB --> Oracle 10g
after reaching the threashold value server is throwing an alert message
say suppose
/Oracle 99% full
/USR/SAP 98% full
so what are the area do we have to look in to resoleve this issue specially on Unix platform .

Get into the filesystem /oracle or /usr/sap
Use commands like du -sg * , to identify which directory is taking the major diskspace
get into the directory , use commands like df -g . to identify where is the dir mounted to example (/usr/sap/trans , see whether its mounted to /usr/sap or is it a separate mount on its own.
basically identify dir which are mounted to /usr/sap and /oracle and are using the major disk space .
Major areas to look at /usr/sap/SID/DV*/work , look for core files and other logs there.
Do the same with /oracle , see whether /oracle/stage is mounted onto it and see what do u have in it , try to find something which you can remove from there..
See whether you still have old oracle binaries remaining even after upgrades .
These are some starting points .
Dont underestimate the fact that you might need to actually increase the size of the filesystem
