Mapping, pointing an incorrect url to the correct one?
Hi All,
Im in a desperate need to point, map, or do something to make one url go to the correct one. So basically, there have been 3,500 copies of flyers printed and gone out with an error on the url! Is there anyway to make the browser automatically open 'www.britanniastone.co.uk/tradequestions.html' when the url 'www.britanniastone.co.uk/tradequestions' is typed into browser??? Its is missing the html part of the url on the flyer.
Really really appreciate some help!!

How do I remove an incorrect apple ID from an iPad and replace it with the correct one?
How can I remove an incorrect Apple ID from my ipad and replace it with the correct one?
Hello Shy guy,
You can try this:
1. Go to the iTunes Store or App Store
2. Scroll down, there you will see Apple ID: "your email" (below Redeem and Send Gift)
3. Tap on that button
4. Tap on Sign Out
Now you should be able to use another Apple ID.

On several different occassions, I have hit the back button on Safari and it goes baack to a page several sites earlier. The URL displayed is the correct one (the one preceedin the page), but the page is not the one that the UL is saying it is - sometimes it is an entirely different domain. Any ideas anyone?
SassWith Safari open, press Command + Option + E on your keyboard (empties the Safari cachee) then quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, empty the cache more often.
BTW, the Safari 5.1.10 update is available for download > Safari 5.1.10 for Snow Leopard -
After 6 months of iPad bliss....My iPad has the incorrect apple ID how do I get it to use the correct one?
Settings > Store > Apple ID. Sign out and sign in with the correct one. Note that all apps are forever tied to the account they are purchased under.

When I'm asked to sign in I am presented with a non-valid sign in. My 2nd sign-in offering is the correct one.
How do I eliminate the first choice for sign in?*Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
*Highlight an entry in the drop down list
*Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

I have websites I use for my employer that require a password. The employer requires these be changed periodically. Always before, if I changed the password, about the second or third time I tried to log in and changed the saved password to the correct one, Firefox would ask if I wanted to save the new password. It is not doing this now. How can I get it to save a new password? It keeps putting in the old one.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.
*You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
*To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting <b>Firefox will: Use custom settings for history</b>
* Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.

It's asking for a password, i'm putting in the correct one and it's still not working. it says mail cant connect to the account "...."
please help!If you've activated 2-step verification, you need to generate an application-specific password in your Google account and enter it instead of the login password you use on the website.

My original Apple ID is associated with an email address that I no longer have access to. How do I reset the system to recognize my new email address as my primary point of contact and erase the other one?
If when you go to icloud.com and sign in with your current iCloud ID you see all your iCloud data there, you can safely sign out of the iCloud account on your Mac and choose Delete at all the prompts, then sign back in with the current ID. This only deletes the data from your Mac, not from iCloud. Your iCloud data will reappear on your Mac when you sign back in after a brief delay as it redownloads. If you have automatically imported your photo stream photos to your iPhoto library you won't lose them either (if you haven't, save them to your library first).
Again, only do this if when you go to icloud.com with your current ID you see your iCloud data there. -
When I got my ipod I made an account with iTunes right from my ipod.Yesterday, I made a password lock to get into my ipod and I couldn't get into it even though I did the correct one. Now it says"connect to iTunes" BUT I can't because I never registered on the computer. I've tried holding the home and sleep/wake button for 10 sec and then only the home for 5sec and that might have reset it, but it didn't help. If any of you guys know what to do so I can unlock it I would appreciate it VERY much.
If you haven't done so install iTunes on your computer. http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Follow the instructions here: iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore -
Have a wrong email address which keeps popping up as a suggestion rather than the correct one which is in my contacts. How can I delete this? iPhone doesn't allow me to get to it to delete it like I can in Outlook.
I'm very glad that helped!
It's good you looked in the Manual first. Certainly not everyone does that.
With Apple products, I've found that not everything is completely documented, but sometimes if you try something that seems like it should work, it actually does work.
That's how I personally learned about this feature.

My password no longer works, I have tried to change it but can not. I know it is the correct one because I have not changed it and keep a verification in a safe. It works a few weeks ago.
Had similar issue calling Apple seems to be the only way to resolve the problem. The issue can be resolved when you get to iTunes, since they are the ones that keep this info. They will ask you your security questions and your purchases software, music etc. Once they are happy with your answers they will get you back up. If you choose you could go the route of forgot my password etc. but I never had any luck with that. Just my 2 cents.

Finding which source is the correct one for a compiled class file
I have a compiled class (myclass.class) and 3 source files for it (myclass.java). Is there any method, utility, or software that will let me find which source file is the correct one?
I have about a 100 of these classes which have a lot of copies of the source and we don't know which source is the correct one. The compiled classes are deployed and working and cannot be replaced.
Thank you for your time!Thank you all for your suggestions but..
1. Recompiling the existing sources and checksum the compiled classes is not a full solution. In addition to finding the version of the compiler that was used and the version of the JDK libraries that were used, I do not know which switches were used when the class was compiled (e.g. -g will output debug info, etc.)
2. Decompiling: I could not find a good enough decompiler I tried jad which failed with some of the classes; I tries JDec which I did not feel I can fully trust the output (format was less accurate than jad). I tried jode which is limited to java 1.3.
3. Versioning: our project now is actually to move all the source to Subversion.
If there is a better decompiler or a way to ensure that a given source file matches the compiled class, please let me know.
Thanks in advance! -
iweb isn't recognizing my hosting password. Any help? I have reset it and am for sure it is the correct one.
Try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and try again.
