Mapping problem with Multiple destination values

Hi,
I recently started to work on SAP MDM as a beginner. I am posting this message to get some help to solve the problems that I encountered as I run the SAP.
For example, we can sub-categorize a 'Product' as Food>ProcessedFood>Frozen Food>Pizzas'. However, notice that there exist the sameNode name under the 'Commodity' as following two categories show.
Product>Food>Processed Food>Frozen Food>Pizzas
Commodity>Food>Processed Food>Frozen Food>Pizzas
The Node name, 'Pizzas', under two different categories has fewattributes such as A, B, C, and D. When I tried mapping these attributes at Map Field/Values Tab under the import manager, I ended up getting warning messages due to the overlapping.
The message says "One or more of the source values were mapped to multiplz destination values. Some of the mapped destination values may need to be unmapped before performing the import."
Does anyone have an idea to solve this overlapping problem?
I will really appreciate your answer.

Hi,
As per my understanding, there are two categories as shown by you
Product>Food>Processed Food>Frozen Food>Pizzas
Commodity>Food>Processed Food>Frozen Food>Pizzas
and you want to link Attributes with specific correct Category say Product not with Commodity. So in order to avoid overlapping, try using option Split Hierarchy. For more details Please refer below Article: refer page 11-15/20

3) I need to map ZTST01-FIELDVALUE to LINEDETAIL-VALUE, but only if the FIELDNAME equals "ZABC".
In my message mapping, i put an IF FIELDNAME = 'ZABC' THEN FIELDVALUE->VALUE, on context ZTST00. But because of the null value in line 2 of the Idoc, the value that is returned to the XML is "6", as the null value is disregarded and not in the queue of FIELDVALUE.
How can I put the correct value ("5") to LINEDETAIL-VALUE?

Hi William,
Simply go back to the default context ZTST01 (for both: FIELDNAME and FIELDVALUE fields) and it should be fine.

LOV problem with multiple return values.

I created a ViewObject and in it a transient attribute.
I create a ViewAccessor for another field and a LOV for it (default InputText with Lov Value).
In List Return Values I added also my tranient attribute in order to receive another attribute from the accesor VO.
When I run it from the Application browser I see my transient attribute emtpty even if the "source" attribute is not empty.
If I change the value from the LOV the source value changes bit the transient is still empty.
What's wrong ?

LOV Problem with multiple values

HI All,
I have a problem with LOV .When ever i click LOV after search button all values are displaying fine.
But when i get so many values i want to select only one vlaue that is not cmng to the main page ....Cursor is in running state always after that time out error is coming in my application .
This problem is coming with with only single value selection in lOV only problem with Multiple values retrival that time only...
(Iam using 11.1.1.3 Jdeveloper.)

I guess I need to mention that extract failed in 5 minuts before it with: VAM function VAMRead returned unexpected result: error 600 - VAM Client Report <[CFileInfo::Read] Timeout expired after 10 retries with 1000 ms delay, waiting to read transaction log or backup files. I don't know if it has ther same source as data corruption, could you tell me if it is?
Well, I created new extract, starting 2012-06-01 15:30 to check if there was something with extract at the time, but got the same error.
If I run extract beging at 15:52 it starts and works.
But well, I got another one today. Data didn't look that bad, but yet one column came with null value:( And I'm using it as a key column, so I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record again:(
I'm replicating from SQL Server 2008 to Oracle 11g.
I'm actually using NOCOMPRESSUPDATES in Extract.
CDC is enabled for all tables replicated. The only thing is that it is enabled not by ADD TRANDATA command, but by SQL Server sys.sp_cdc_enable_table, does it matter?
Could you please advise why does it happen?

The SCRP_CODE column has a NOT NULL constraint. The ORA-01407 error is telling you that you cannot update or set a value for this column to null because of the constraint. This has absolutely nothing to do with an index. You can use a marker/sentinel value in lieu of using NULL. For a numeric field, where everything is positive, a negative value (-1) can be decoded as meaning null. For a character field, a code such as NA can represent NULL.
This also has nothing to do (directly) with GoldenGate failing because of this error. The underlying SQL statement will fail everywhere, regardless of the tool or application. It is not a case of failing only in GoldenGate.

Problem with multiple Toplink/JPA apps in same server

Anyone have experence of running serveral Toplink/ EJB-3 Web apps in the same server (OC4J, alas)?
We seem to get a problem with the second app failing to initialise toplink, with an entity not found message. Each app runs OK on it's own.

Yes, they access the same datasource and most of the tables overlap.
We're thinking it might help to have common entity classes and put them in a shared library, but I don't know if this is relevant (setting up shared libraries complicates testing and tends to snowball, I reckon we need about 15 jars all told).
I''ve had some funnies on OC4J before which I think may be to do with it's use of ClassLoaders, for example I initially put persistence.xml in the libary jar with the data model, but for some reason I get the entity not found error that way. It only seems to work if it's in the classes folder.
For the moment we're getting arround the problem with multiple OC4J instances in the server.

Problem with multiple versions of documents being published with 001, 002, etc.

I am using Contribute CS3. I am having a problem with multiple versions of documents being published on the sever with 001, 002, etc in the name. So that I end up with 2 or 3 versions of a document on the server. Does anyone know why / how Contribute is doing this? Thanks for any help you can give.

Problems with multiple idocs in one file ( Inbound file )

Thanks in Advance for your suggestions.. Highly appreciated.
We have problems with multiple IDocs in one file.
We are using XIB ( Amtrix ) as Middleware to receive the files.
Curretenly When the file contains one IDoc then there is no problem. IDoc is created and everything is ok.
If file contains two IDocs ( for example two messages ORDERS and DELVERY ) then it is creating two IDocs but both IDocs contains ORDERS plus DELIVERY segements information. That is the problem. Some how SAP unable to differentiate the IDocs in the file.. But it knows that how many idocs are there in the file..because it is creating exact number of idocs.
We are using TRFC port ... Do I need to change it to File port..
When we have more than one idoc do we need set any parameter in the file ...

As of now , Middleware cannot split the file.
Thing is SAP is creating two Idocs with different message types. Problem is First IDoc contains ORDERS message type but also DELIVERY segments as well. Second IDoc with DELIVERY message tyoe but ORDERS segments as well... This is the problem... I think we are missing some field activation in file for EDIDC record.
As far as I know file port supports the number of IDocs in one file.. Hope TRFC port also supports that

Problem with multiple forms and subview

I have a problem when using NetBean Web Pack (JDK6, Net Beans 5.5, JSF 1.2).
1) I created a JSF page (hello.jsp) and a page fragment (header.jspf) inside Web Pack, and let the JSF page (hello.jsp) includes the page fragment.
2) The include instruction is outside of the "form" element id=main_form() of the first JSF page.
3) Inside the page fragment (header.jspf), I put a form (id=header_form) with some input fields inside the "subview" element.
4) When running the web application, the form and its children (id=header_form) inside the subview are not rendered.
It seems to be a problem with multiple forms on a page and the subview.
Do I use these JSF components incorrectly? Any advice?

Problem with multiple requests

I have a problem with the users submitting multiple requests simultaneously.
Let me put it this way:
1. User is on a tabbed panel with clear and search buttons.
2. User clicks on 'clear' button from any tab (request one). On successful completion, it should reset and load tab one.
3. Before the tab one loads, user again clicks (request two) on a different tab two. (Tabbed panel - server side tab switch)
4. As a result, tab two loads. Now when I click on tab one, the default values are not getting set.

Done with Request!Looking above its very clear that request two begins before the completion of render response phase of request one. I guess thats where the problem lies and users are not really interested in solution provided by me to use javascript and freeze the page until request one completes.
I would like to know if it is possible to hold a second request in the phase listener until the first request gets completed. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thus, you want to keep user/session-specific requests in a synchronized queue? You could put a lock in the HttpSession on start of request and remove it on end of request and synchronize the requests on that lock. You can use a Filter for this which is mapped on FacesServlet.
It's all theory and I've never done it, so I can't give a "safe" code example out of head. But googling using the terms "synchronized, lock, httpsession" gives lot of the same ideas, some with examples, under each this article: [http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/j-jtp09238.html].

ORA-01461 Error when mapping table with multiple varchar2(4000) fields

(Note: I think this was an earlier problem, supposed fixed in 11.0, but we are experiencing in 11.7)
If I map an Oracle 9i table with multiple varchar2(4000) columns, targeting another Oracle 9i database, I get the ORA-01461 error (Can't bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG).
I have tried changing the target columns to varchar2(1000), as suggested as a workaround in earlier versions, all to no avail.
I can have just one varchar2(4000) map correctly and execute flawlessly - the problem occurs when I add a second one.
I have tried making the target column a LONG, but that does not solve the problem.
Then, I made the target database SQL Server, and it had no problem at all, so the issue seems to be Oracle-related.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm unable to reproduce the problem you describe at the moment - if I try to migrate a TEXT(5), OMWB creates a VARCHAR(5) and the data migrates correctly!! However, I note from you description that even though the problematic source column datatype is TEXT(5), you mention that there are actually 20 lines of text in this field (and not 5 variable length characters as the definition might suggest).
Having read through some of the MySQL reference guide I note that, in certain circumstances, MySQL actually changes the column datatype specified either at table creation time or when interfacing with other databases ( ref 14.2.5.1 Silent Column Specification Changes and 12.7 Using Column Types from Other Database Engines in the MySQL reference guide). Since your TEXT(5) actually contains 20 lines of text, MySQL (database or JDBC driver .... or both) may be trying to automatically map the specified datatype of the column to a datatype more appropriate to storing 20 lines of text.... that is, to a LONG value in this case. Then, when Oracle is presented with this LONG value to store in a VARCHAR(5) field, it throws the ORA-01461 error. I need to investigate this further, but this may be the case - its the first time I've see this problem encountered.
To workaround this, you could change the datatype of the column to a LONG from within the Oracle Model before migrating. Any application code that accesses this column and expects a TEXT(5) value may need to be adjusted to cope with a LONG value. Is this a viable workaround for you?
I will investigate further and notiofy you of any details I uncover. We will need to track this issue for possible inclusion in future development plans.

Problems with multiple row operations in a dataTable

Dear fellows,
I have a strange problem, i want to do multiple row deletion in a dataTable. Can any one tell me a better way to do it. Because the way i am doing it, it is causing me strange problems. In some places it start working and in some it dont.
The way i am doing it, it has the following code:

.MSG files. Problem with getting requested values from crawled properites

Hi
I have a lot of msg files on my file server. I use SharePoint Enterprise Serach engine to crawl all these MSGs.
I would like to get extra managed properties out of these files. I am most interested in getting Mail:5(text) / Mail:12(Date and Time) / Mail:53(Date and Time) from MAIL category in Managed Properties.

Please be aware that I do not use Public Folders. These MSGs are exproted from Outlook and are stored on File Server not Exchange.
I tried to link Crawled Properties to new property however I cannot get any results back.

However I am not keen to write custom connector at this stage.
Is it possible to simply get "Subject", "Sent", "Received" info from msg file and then map it to managed properties.
Does SharePoint create any crawled properties which contain information about let's say "Subject" which then can be used to create managed properties?
I tried playing with "MAIL" properties however I cannot get them to work. I guess this is because the file is a msg file rather than mail which is stored in Exchange Public Folder.

Problem with multiple client numbers from a view

I have a problem with a view
Creates a view with a UNION ALL stmt

Create view vw_benifits
as

     UNAME,
     COB_MNTH_AMT
FROM
     STG_SAP_PA9211_TB
UNION ALL
SELECT
     null, -- no client number for legacy data
     PERNR,
     OBJPS,
     ENDDA,
     BEGDA,
     AEDTM,
     UNAME,
COB_MNTH_AMT
from
     LEG_STG_SAP_PA9211_TB;

The second table contains legacy data (LEG_STG_SAP_PA9211_TB). The first table now contains multiple client data (ie the client_num can be 201,202,250 like that.
Now if the users qery the view they will only get that clients data.
eg selet * from vw_benifits where client_num=250 results only client 250 data. But I want to add the legacy data also with that.
I don't want to propose
selet * from vw_benifits where client_num in (250,NULL) since the users will be confused.
Is there any other way to do this . my requirement is like
If they query
select * from vw_benifits where client_num=250, the data should include all the records satisfying client=250 + the records from the legacy data. The view need to be created like that.

But I am not sure this may work for me. Here my users may not be able to use that since they don't know Oracle.
I want to hide that details from them
They may just issue a statement like this
select * from vw_benifits where client_num =250
Or
select * from vw_benifits where client_num =400 . But both times I need to show them the data from the legacy table.
