Mapping the R/3 Fields with InfoObjects

Hi Guru's,
I am working on CO-PA Datasource, i have the r/3 fields from which i have to map the info objects in BI. I found all the relevent infoobjects, but few left without mapping.I tried to find these fields from tcode:se11/rsosfieldmap but i cannot find these fields here also. Can anyone help me in searching the infoobjects for the following fields:
PAOBJNR,PASUBNR,HZDAT,KURSKZ,RKESTATU,PAPAOBJNR,PAPASUBNR,FRWAE,KURSF,KURSBK,COPA_AWORG,COPA_BWZPT,COPA_AWSYS,COPA_AWTYP .

Hi,
Search with the description of the field in infoobjects if not found then find the same in BI content, once you find the infoobject cross check with length and type of chars etc...

For the Primary Key Field with the combination of other fields

I Have a problem in creating trigger for the following
the problem goes like this..
i have a table with the fields
fld1 (varchar2(6) fld2(varchar2(20)) fld3 (number)
the fld1 is a primary key.
here in this table i am inserting the values ..
At the time of inserting the fld1 should get the part value of fld2
say if new value for fld2 is "SAM & CO" then
it should take the first letter and then followed by the sequence..
i.e., the fld1 is the combination of a
letter + firt letter of the fld2 + sequence
fld1 fld2 fld3
CS001 SSSSS 324234
CP001 PPPPP 5345435
CS002 SSSS 53543543
Here the Sequence should vary depending on the alphabet of the fld1
if P the the Sequence should be the next number of fld1 to P
i.e.,
if i add the value like this
insert into tname(fld2,fld3) values('PQQQQ',34343)
then it should be inserted as
CP002 PQQQQ 34343
I need the solution for this..

There are not enough details to be sure since you have not provided the mappings. From just the error, it looks like you are using the tableC.tableA_ID field as the foreign key in the ManyToOne relationship to A, but have marked it as insertable=false, writeable=false, meaning that it cannot be updated or used for inserts.
Either make it writable (set the settings to true), or add another basic mapping/attribute in the entity for TableC that maps to the field which you can use to set when you insert a new tableC entity. A simple example is available at

Middleware settings to map CRM Z table fields with ECC material master flds

Hi,
We want to create a Z table in CRM,this table willl have 2 fields External Material Group and Old Material Number.These 2 fields in CRM table are corresponding to same material master (MM03) fields in ECC.The changes to these fields done in ECC material master should be updated in CRM Z table.
I want to understand the middleware settings I need to do in order to map the ECC and CRM fields.

Hi All,
In R/3 there are tables related to different business like sales, mm, fico etc.
In the tables there are fields.
Now I want to map fields of R/3 to BI Info objects. Is there any way I can map. I want enitre list of r/3 mapped to sap bi
Example :
Tech Field in R/3 Desc. of Tech Field Tech Name of Infobject in SAP BI Desc of Infoobj.
VKBUR Sales Office -> Maps to -> 0SALES_OFF Sales Office

How to limit the I/P Field with 4 Digits

In my application i need to limit the size of the Input Field to 4 Digits.How is this possible?
Also can i limit the value according to my requirement,i mean in someother fields i need to limit the size by 8 Digits and so on.

Hi,
Open your WD project>Dictionary>Local Dictionary>Data Types>Simple Types-->Right CLick and select create new simple type
<name> and <package>
Now you can see your simple type in the editor and set the maximum length to 4.
save the metadata
Open your view and you can see a context tab.
Right click on Context node and select new value attribute
name it .
Go to the properties of the value attribute and select its type to the simple type that we created by selecting the button in the rightmost corner ...

Map the attributes to RFC from Form

Hi ,
I have a requirement of designing the form and taking those values and storing them into SAP System throw one of the RFC.
I designed the Form and connected to the RFC. But ! when I try to compile it , it shows that the required input fields should be assigned tot he RFC.
how to assign those value from Form to RFC

Hi,
I think the problem is you have not mapped the required input fields with the RFC inputs. To map the fields do the following steps.
1. Double click the link between input form and RFC
2. In Right side window, select the appropriate "assigned value" field for the particular input fields by click the 'fx' icon.

Regarding the generic datasource fields

I've created one generic datasource(Master data source), which contains exactly 8 fields. Afterwards that datasource is replicated in BW. According to that datasource, fields are created in RSA1. But those fields name and lengths are not name in BW.Is it problem or not? And another one thing is those fields are not belongs to one Master data source. Is it ok?

Hello Raja,
In BW side you have to map the fields with infoobject in transfer structure. The definition of (Properties) infoobjects which you are mapping must be in sync with the fields you are mapping.

Unable to map two date IO fields

Hi gurus
I am new to sap BI. I have a functionality to find difference between two date values using replacement path.
My flat file contains fields like Plant , material , created on , changed on ,amount.
While creating Cube, I have dragged and dropped OCALDAY , OCALMONTH2 and OCALYEAR in Time dimension.
Now while creating transformations I am unable to map the two date fields. Could somebody let me know how to achieve this.

I am creating a flat file in the same format as given in link.
Based on ur suggestion I changedon field changedon as DATS type and placed it in characteristic Infoobject catalog.
Now I map createdon field with OCalday and then changedon field with OCalday but it won't work.
My question is , should I create fields createdon and changedon as two separate KeyFigure infoobjects?
If any routine is to be written could u please elaborate on it?

Mapping of AD ou's with idm org

Hello guys!
When i reconcile from AD i want the users to be created in the correct organization. For that i need to map the user AD ou with idm's organization.
Maybe i can do it messing up with acoounts[$(RESOUCE_NAME)].identity in the reconciliation user form?, splitting the identity and then taking the ou name from there?
Any ideas?

I have the dn of the form for some users as:

for someothers i have:

Accessing entire payload to map to a target field

Hi,
     We are working on a scenario where in we need to map the entire payload (along with the xml tags) to a field in the target message structure.
     We explored few options like java mapping wherein we get the entire payload as an input stream , also tried to change the approach with sending the payload as attachment and then making it available for mapping using custom module.
     Request all to please come up with suggestions as to whether this can be done using graphical mapping or xslt mapping.

Use of mapping would depend upon the way u provide the input.
For graphical mapping, access the payload in UDF.
For xslt mapping, only when ur sender structure is a made with a single element, u can achieve this.
If u r sending an xml file with many tags, then to use it as a single field, go for Java mapping

Totals for the internal table field in alv

I have an issue in displaying the totals in alv.
I have an internal table with the three fields like below.
scrap_code_001 like afru-xmnga, " Scrap Reason Qty.
scrap_code_002 like afru-xmnga, " Scrap Reason Qty.
scrap_code_003 like afru-xmnga, " Scrap Reason Qty.
In the output table which i am passing to the fieldcatlog is having the three above fields with values 10,3,4 respectively.
I am looping at the internal table
loop at gt_grund.
gv_tabix = sy-tabix.
i_fieldcat-no_zero = gc_x.
i_fieldcat-do_sum = gc_x.
perform assign_alv_qty_format.
if gt_grund-grund is initial.
gt_grund = 'NONE'.
gv_text = gt_grund.

gv_text = gt_grund-grdtx.

But in the output I am getting the totals but it displays totals for all the three columns as 17,17,17 (summing 10,3,4).
How do I display total as 10,3,4 for each column separately.

Please check if value fields i_fieldcat-ref_fieldname and i_fieldcat-ref_tabname regard to numc or curr type.
EX: i_fieldcat-ref_fieldname = 'WRBTR'
I_fieldcat-ref_tabname = 'BSEG'.

Creation of logic group - any limitation for the Criteria Value Field?

I am trying to create simple logic groups in FDM (version 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.2.1). However, an error message displayed in the information bar.
Error: Error adding new record.
Detail: Data access error.
I clicked the "Add" button and created a logic group which contains *1,520* non-sequential source accounts in the Criteria Value Field (with In operator).
I have separated these source accounts with a comma and no spaces in between them. (Note: Operator = x, Value/Exp = 1, Seq = 0) I updated the grid. Then, the error message was displayed and the logic group creation was failed.
And then, I created a new logic group which contains only *100* non-sequential source accounts in the Criteria Value Field (with In operator).
I also separated them with a comma, no spaces and same setting. I updated the grid. And the logic group was added successfully.
Each source account contains 10 characters (alphabet and/or number).
I want to ask:
1. Is there any limitation in specifying source accounts (i.e.. no more than certain number of source accounts for each logic group) in the Criteria Value Field when creating simple logic group?
2. I am adding these logic groups by clicking the "Add" button one by one, is there faster way to do it (i.e.. upload an excel or csv file or source accounts specified)?

I would like to ask about loading the Logic Accounts with the template.
As instructed, I exported the excel out for the template format and updated the template with new Logic Accounts. Then, I imported the excel file in the "Import XLS" section under Tools. The excel file was uploaded successfully. (Note: I am using excel 2010 and saved it as .xls file)
However, there is no changes in the Logic Accounts and seem no updates was made.
I want to ask:
1. Did I import the excel at the right location (i.e. "Import XLS" section under Tools)?
2. Is there anything else I need to do after the file has been imported (i.e. delete the existing logic accounts or click another button(?) for this change) so the new list of logic accounts would become effective?
I would like to use excel to maintain my list of logic accounts for better control in the future.

Predefault "User Name" field with Login Name

Hi,
Predefault in "LS Medical User Verification" BC does not work. I tried to do the following but all did not work:
* Put a predefault value in the "User Name" field, System: Creator
* Create a calc field "SCR Login", calc value: LoginName (). Set predefault of "User Name" field, Field: 'SCR Login"
* Expose "SCR Login" in the applet. Field is blank in UI.
We are using the vanilla "LS Medical User Verification Applet" for user verification and we want to predefault the User Name field with the current user logged in. How can I achieve this?

Hi,
I believe Predefault/Postdefault will only work with NewRecord even and since the User Verification Popup Applet does not go to that event on load that is why it does not work.
Since the client wanted to default the user name with the current user logged in, we just removed the User name field from the popup applet and pass the TheApplication().LoginName() to the Authentication Business Service.
