Mapping with Scd operator set to type 2 reading source records two times.Records selected count being displayed at the end of execution is double the source record count.This possibly is affecting the performance of the mapping.
Is this a bug in scd type 2 operagtor in OWB 11gR2.How to rectify this umwamted double loop through the source data selectiom?

I think it is important to be aware that although Paris - 10gR2 - is not actually buggy (in this respect!), it is really quite idiosyncratic in exactly how it processes SCDs.
I followed up on your and Mark's comments, and did an in depth analysis of this topic. It is at http://www.donnapkelly.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/documents/OWB_10gR2_SCD.pdf
My conclusions are perhaps of interest to anyone considering doing SCD processing with Paris.

Yes, I want to split the message in eight messages output, because each input message "Obj" "Acum" "Des" there are eight classifications which should be 3 classifications in a new output record

Mapping with joiner operator cannot be validated/deployed - why?

hi guys,
i want to join two oracle tables with a flatfile in a mapping and output it into a new table (staging_table).
so i created a new mapping, imported the sources and drag-drop the joiner operator. i connected the the sources with the joiner and set the how to join in the operator properties. finally i connected the join-output with a new table.
problem: validating this mapping did not work!! the validating report did not even put an error or warning, it just says "wasnt validated".
anybody any idea ??

Hello,
I\m not sure you could combine within one mapping flat file and tables as a source. The thing is if you are creating a flat fileto-table mapping OWB will generate control file for Oracle Loader as a result.
Id advice you to cover your flat file with an external table, and this external table could take place of the flat file in your mapping. Everything will work fine.

Subcontract PP Operation - Set Requisition Type

All-
I'm working to find where purchase requisition type is contained for external subcontracting within a PP operation. Currently, the requisition being generated by the operation is for a standard PO type. I'm assuming that it is possible somewhere to alter this to instead produce a requisition for a framework PO.
Can anyone advise on where this setting is located?

However, I'm not seeing how this allows for tailoring of the PReq type for only a subcontract operation of a PP order. This looks to control the overall assignments for an order which needs to be maintained at it's current setting of PReq Standard. 99% of the production order operations utilize standard requisition type and should not be altered.
Again, this is for a single subcontract routing:
External processing for subcontract requisition is active within the operation. This is the requisition that absolutely needs to be framework type.

How to reduce reading and recording data time/ Visual C++, PCI 6024E and PCI-MIO-16E?

Right now I am working on a data communication programme. The time of reading digital signal and recording data is more than I expected, which is about 100 microsecond. I need to reduce the time. The software I am using is Visual C++ 6.0. I use two DAQ boards, which are PCI-6024E and PCI-MIO-16E. I have set the priority of Visual C++ to be realtime by task manager. The operating systme is Windows XP.
I am wondering how to set the interrupt of reading or writing data to be the highest and stop any other kind of interrupt.

The primary limitation you will encounter when trying to do high speed
digital I/O using your E-Series hardware is that the digital lines are
all software timed. This means that for each and every digital
read it is necessary for your software to issue a command to your
hardware, read a single point, then receive the response from the
board. This prevents you from performing digital operations at
very high speed. In general, I would say that 100 microseconds is
a very good response using software-timed digital I/O on a Windows
computer.
It is difficult to make a good recommendation without more detail about
what you are trying to do. You may need to consider switching to
a Real-Time operating system, or upgrading your DAQ hardware to a board
that will allow you to time your digital acquisitions on the board
itself. These devices, such as the m-Series DAQ or the PCI-653x
series, would allow you to use hardware triggers for your digital
acquisitions, change detection, and buffered data acquisitions to
reduce the software overhead involved in a rapid acquisition.

Document types displayed as folders when arranged by set to type

Hello everyone,
I have an issue with the finder since upgraded to Lion.
I use to open finder in column view with "Arranged by" set to "Type" and "Sort by" set to name. But the thing is that the titles/names of the document types are sometimes diplayed or behave as ordinary folders.
Look at the snapshot below (sorry it's a french one): in the left column, display is fine. But in the middle one, "Dossiers", "Contacts", "Documents PDF" and "Documents" are displayed as ordinary folders.
Note that the issue does not limit to the display. These non existing folders can be selected with my mouse.
Moreover, it happens randomly and I checked on a new Account: issue is still there.
So, as anyone observed that ?

Sorry for the late reply, but yes this happens to me quite often.
I have no solution to the problem, but it is rather annoying. Especially if you navigate from one column to another. The first file or folder does not get selected instead it is the "headline with the folder icon" that gets selected. Irritating and it looks terrible when highlighted.

Prod.Order Creation- Using Reference Operation set.

While creating a production order of particular order type,after entering the quantity and order finish date as today's date(05.06.2007),backward scehduling,it's showing no routing found for the material (as we are using REM-Repetitive manufacturing,we are having rate routing) ,and in the same mesaage box itself I choosed the Reference operation set(that I have created today) and entered the group no,and after entering its showing me an error as <b>Ref. operation set 50000008 is not valid according to the selection conditions</b>,
So I created a routing for the same material nd in MRP4 view of the same material under for selection method i kept blank(Selection by order qunatity) and tried to create Prod.order,and there was no problem,but if the same i'm trying to create using Reference operation set I'm not able to create the Production order.
Kindly give me a solution for this,Is there anything to do with order type dependent parameters of the particular order type?

Is your problem solved ?
One more solution to create a order with reference operation set,is to use a trigger point.
Once you create a reference operation set.
Use T.code co31 to create a trigger point, chosoe create order with reference & choose a system status eg: PCNF. & click the user parameter tab.
The system will aks for the reference operation set no & group counter.
Then assign this reference operation set to the routing operation.
When you do partial confirmation of this operation, this will trigger the generation of a order.

validity is ok

while creating PRD order

System is unable to find a valid Referance Operation set, for Production order. Various reasons can be
1. Order quantity not within the Lot Size Validitiy of the Referance Operation set.
2. Referance Operation set "Status" and "usage" problem, not valid or not relevant to production.
3. Referance Operation set must have got created with valid from today, but the order may be exploding the PP-Master data for a past date based on the basic start and finish date of the order.
Please check these parameters...there is no need to maintain OPJG. OPJG should be maintained if you want to allow order creation with default a single operation, in the event of system not able to find a valid routing.

repeat your source node. in mapping editor you can view queues by right clicking to mapped element.. selecting Display Queues option.. this will show u your values .
You can also select this Display Queue option for splitByValue option
for example
source--->splitByValue>target
Try viewing your queues to each this step... for splitByValue in display Queue you will see context inserted(grey colour) accodingly

I have a SOAP to SOAP scenario here Just PI 7.1 with EHP1 acting a bus no mapping nothing .
1) I have the WSDL file from the receiver system with multiple synchronous operations in it ..i imported the wsdl as External Definition .. i used the same the WSDL file to create the sender Service interface also...
when i created the service interface with the operation in it , i just gave the same operation name from the WSDL.this i followed for the sender and receiver service interface.
1)now the issue is do i need any operation mapping if the service interface has more than one operation ...?
2) I compelted the scenario without any operation mapping ..but i am getting this error ..Problem occurred in receiver agreement for sender -ICRM_D to receiver -EXACTTGETWEBSERVICE_D,http://ICRMtoExactTaetWebservice.com.si_os_ICRM_EXACTTETWEBSERVICE: No standard agreement found for , ICRM_D, , EXACTTARGEBSERVICE_D, http://ICRMtoExactarebservice.com, si_os_ICRM_EXACGETWEBSERVICE..?

How to design a mapping with a pre-mapping operator

Hi,
I want to design a mapping with only one operator: a pre-mapping operator that uses a procedure with no parameters (so there are no input/output groups). When I validate this mapping I get error VLD-1009: Mapping lines have not been created.
Question 1: how do I design a mapping if all I want to do is to execute a procedure and there are no target operators involved?
Question 2: how are pre-mapping process operators intended to be used? (apparently not the way I use one here)

One way of doing this is to jus add a constant and a target table to insert a value into a dummy target. (i.e sysdate into dummy_table) This way you can execute the procedure using a pre mapping operator.

if you mean speakers which you connect your ipod to using the earphone socket, then yeah. i've done that for years with all of my three ipods, and had no problems.

We have set up a new Operating Unit in Oracle Apps. Now when I am trying to create a new Customer in that Operating Unit, I am receiving following error:
ERROR MESSAGE:-Please set the Receivables system options for this operating unit and ensure that the MO: Operating Unit profile option is correctly set with an operating unit that is set up in Receivables.
We do have MO: Operating Unit and MO: Default Operating Unit set properly at Responsibility level for the Responsibility through which I am accessing this form.

Thanks again for the thoughts... Unfortunately, the only characters that I can use keyboard shortcuts for French are the é, ç and the á (it's better than nothing).
Outside of that, I have to switch keyboard layouts. I know of the accent grave ( `e ) that's nextdoor to the number one key... But it don't work... my translator thinks it's a typo... because it takes up a whole characters worth of space instead of sharing the space with the actual letter (vowel), like the other accents.
So I need keyboard shortcuts for:
ê Ê Ë ë è È
Ô ô Ö ö
à À Û û
I use these letters just enough to make switching keyboards back and forth a little irksome. Since the two keyboards have pretty distinctively different layouts and then we have the position of the A and M keys and.. well... see where this could lead??? LOL
