Maps 3.0 saved places quick search fault

I've noticed the following error-
For example---> Options-> Favorites-> Spain (created folder by my self in favorites)
When I`m typing first letter for quick search of saved place results are shown correctly, but when I'm press "show on map" or "drive to" it goes to wrong (other) placemark in this folder.
This error has not been seen in the built in program folder named "places", here quick search is working as they should.

Hi voodoochicken, I just tried the seach function & it doesn't behave how you describe it, it gave me the option to select my favorite, like the previous poster advise you, reinstalling the firmware doesn't work pay a visit to the Nokia service point, good luck.

I have bookmarked or saved some places on Maps such as my home and other places I have visited.
Want to know if I format my phone or perform a reset, will I loose all these saved places or is there any way to manually backup them uysing any tool??

Assigned To column not working in the quick search of a list

Hi, I have a list where we have a column called Assigned To, but it is a single line of text column type. Search is working since I am able to find other values in the list.
Now, when using the quick search, it is not working or showing results in this column.
Could this be related that this column is a manage metadata column type as default in SharePoint?
I have created a new list with this value but, as person column type and it is not working either.
Any ideas?

Hi Javi,
Please check and make sure your custom "Managed Property" map to the crowed property generated by managed metadata column, and set the manged property as "Searchable" then start an incremental crawl or full crawl.
For "Assigned To" column(e.g. crawled property should be "ows_Assigned_x0020_To"), I enabled the "Searchable" option for the manged property, then start an incremental crawl, and then search the
user in "Find an item" and it worked, you can try.

I downloaded a reader file and it screwed up my Safari browser and the app opens with the Goggle Quick search which I can't get rid of

I downloaded a file to open a owners manual for a camera I needed. I had difficulty getting it down loaded and never could get the manual. I tried using my Safari browser and started getting this Goggle Quick Search file which opened in place of my Safari….I tried to close it and I can't. I did manage to get ride of the reader file.

You may have installed one of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates
if it's not already checked.

Manage My Places/Google Search in iPhoto has stopped working. I have always had my Look Up Places Preference set to Never. Any ideas?

I am running iPhoto 09 v8.1.2 and w/c 18th Nov Manage My Places/Google Search stopped working. I have always Managed My Places with my Look Up Places Preference set to Never. I have not updated any software in the past week. Any ideas?

That's not my experience Larry, although I'm not an expert. It was one of your earlier responses to someone else that made me check this preference out. However, I've set it to automatically and google search in Manage My Places doesn't work and the "find on map" option on the photo information tab doesn't work.
What does works with it set to automatically is if I enter "Merida, Mexico" in the photo place it will list a number of towns called Merida and I can select the Mexican one. If I enter "Calle 49, Merida, Mexico" it doesn't list anything but it does offer the "find on map" option. If I select this it loops.
I've checked my software updates and nothing on my Mac has changed in the time between this working and ceasing to work. I'm just trying to establish if anyone else has experienced difficulty with the google search under manage my places in iPhoto recently.

Quick Search

Is there a way to search for photos using quick search where I can look for the following keywords without having to bring up the HUD and checking a bunch of boxes.
i.e. Colin & Quinn or Colin & !Quinn

To make it look like I'm trying to "fix" the problem is there something
on the Quick Search side I can adjust to make the %20 go away?
This is IE 8 on XP Pro for all the users that won't use Firefox. I tried
"Restore advanced settings" and "Reset". I also told them to use Firefox
or Chrome.

As you can see from the image above, I have a quick search defined for 'am' which is set as a 'keyword' for an Amazon.com search. When I type the keyword followed by a search term it it displays an error page with a path to some resource in a .jar file.
Note the save URL does not include a %s. It used the previously document behavior of having any text that followed the keyword appended to the keyword URL.
When I add the %s to the end of the saved quick search URL, the quick search works correctly. This change confused me for a while until I dug into it and now I need to check and update all of my quick searches. :-(

When you enable search for anonymous user for the site collection, is it a team site or publishing
site? By default team sites are designed for intranet site so search on Team Site with default value will be prompted for
credentials because “OSSSearchResults.aspx” page is configued to publish results based on “LayoutsPageBaseClass(Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls)” class. The LayoutsPageBase Class Represents an application page (sometimes
called a "_layouts" page). If you want to do that in team site, you need to remove the “LayoutsPageBase Class(Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls)” from “OSSSearchResults.aspx” page, which is not a recommended way.
Publising Sites are desinged for internet site so “Search/Results.aspx”
is configured in a way where it can deliver search results for
anonymous users. If in your scenario it’s for publishing site, you need to ensure that the content which should appear in the search result is visible for anonymous user. (Follow the “Enable anonymous access for individual lists”
part in the link above)
You can also create a search center to see if the user can get search result there. Regarding the
second issue, you need to check the crawl logs and ULS logs to find the clue.

How to include variable "assigned to" values in quick search

Hi!
The values available in field "assigned to" (agent inbox), vary depending on settings in PPOMA_CRM.
I can see different teams or even nothing.
When I try to define a quick search (TX: CRMC_IC_AUI_QUICKS), the field "assigned to" has two values: Me and My groups. Looks like this values are fixed, as they do not vary if I change my assignments in PPOMA_CRM.
Does that mean that we cannot define any other values in quick search, and that we have to manually choose them in inbox?

E72 - Contacts quick search doesn't work correctly

Hello!
I have over 1,500 contacts in Outlook and has successfully synchronized them with Nokia E72 (last firmware). But quick search in Contacts application simply doesn't work - I can find only few contacts - others just dissapear when I start typing correct letters.
I tried to kill the process of this app and restart Contacts. Voila, it works correctly! But then in 5 min. I tried again and got just the same problem.
Desktop quick search doesn't work too.
I've already tried to reload all the contacts in my phone - no results.
What would you advise to solve that problem?

The E72 Is from the most point of views a complete and very good phone.
But this bug drives me crazy!
Zam72 is completely spot on: Pathetic, Killer Feature, frustrating.
I've done som more testing:
Started with a quick search from home screen, found the contact I was lookng for.
Made a Mail for exchange sync. Same search, no hits. (thought I found the issue...)
Reboot, speed search work again.
New Mfe sync, search still works, repeated a couple of times, still ok.
Two hours later: Search still works
New mfe sync, search once again goes blank!
Now i'm noticing that when I open the contacts, I can browse the contacts, but if i enter a letter it first appears, but directly disapears making search impossible.
I'M NOT ABLE TO USE THIS PHONES CONTACTS!!!!!!
I believe this is related to Mfe synchronizations, but it's a random issue.
Yes, I've tried a *#7370# with no luck.
I'm not using PC-suite sync at all (no conflicts)
I'm not running other programs simultaniously.
I feel like a Beta tester!

Agent Inbox Quick Search with Custom Parameter

Hi,
In the Agent Inbox Advanced Search I added Created By as a searchable parameter. We'd now like to create a Quick Search for Created By - Me.
I see that we use view CRMV_AUI_QUICKS to define quick searches and that this view is based on the table CRMC_AUI_QUICKS. Obviously the field (Created By) that I added to the Search Object (BTQueryAUI) is not included in that table.
So, I suppose that I can append the new field (Created By) to table CRMC_AUI_QUICKS; but then won't I have to regenerate the Table Maintenance View so that the new field will be included in the maintenance screen? Won't this be considered a repair since the view is in the SAP namespace?
Will this even work?
Is there any other way to include custom search fields in Quick Searches? I guess I could code a solution in ICCMP_INBOX/AdvQuicksearchV but I'd rather not have to code quick searches every time a new field is added to the searchable parameters.

Case insensitive quick search of UCM

'Quick Search' in UCM looks case sensitive. If I create a file with title as 'Test File' it shows result in following cases
Test
Test File
But it can't show result when I search for
test
test file
Is there a way to make it case insensitive search?

Advanced and Quick Search on UIX Pages

Hi all,
I have run into a situation on pages where I have the advanced and quick search enabled. Here's what is happening. You click on advanced search and search for a particular attribute. This works fine. Then you click on the button for quick search so that the advanced search view collapses. If you go to another page within the application and come back to the original page, the page is displayed with the advanced search view, even though when we left the page it was set to quick search. Any one have any ideas why this occuring or a workaround so that it doesn't happen? Thanks in advance.

Susan,
Switching between advanced search view and quick search view is done at the client using javascript. Only once a search is issued by pressing the Go or Find button, a request is sent to the server, and we are able to save the "search mode" state.
In 10.1.3 we have solved this by using Partial Page rendering rather then javascript.
