Maps and location

Upgraded to 3G on Tuesday.
Found that the "find location" didn't work. The little cog wheel just went round and round for ever.
Spend 30 minutes discussing with O2 support on the telephone.
Ended up by them suggesting I took it back to the O2 shop.
The O2 store directed me to the Apple Store in London who exchanged the handset for a new one, but said they though the problem was with the SIM card. Tried the 3G with the old SIM card - same problem. Got new SIM card from O2 and still the same problem. The phoned Apple Support and the guy said to wait - it was a problem with the new software release and they were working to remove the problem.
How come no-one else seems to be having the problem ?????

Presumably you have Ovi Maps v3.06 (688) installed http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/ ovi_maps_installer_3.06_11wk23_b05_s60_5...
If you are not using a network access point for Assisted GPS positioning method, try going outside away from tall buildings, launch Nokia Maps and wait 20 - 30 minutes for it to lock on to position.

If you are referring to .pdf then two choices spring to mind:-
If you are prepared to pay for such application you could go to http://store.ovi.com/content/2579 on your 5800XM and install that way. There is also a free .pdf reader with less functionality available at link below:
1) Download International (9.4) (11.3 MB) from this link:http://sourceforge.net/projects/alternatedjvu/files/
2) Decompress .zip folder and select AlternateReader S9.4 1.08 (4) Release International.sisx
3) Send to 5800XM by Bluetooth (will arrive in Messaging > Inbox) or connect it to PC in "Mass storage" mode and drag it onto phone.
4) Either tap on "Message" or find file on 5800XM by going to Menu > Applications > Office > File Mgr. > find file and tap on it.
As currently writing this on a Mac haven't given you instructions to install via Nokia Suite installed on your PC.

A quick google search for gardening apps gave a surprisingly large number of hits. I saw at least three distinct garden planner apps (from $2 to $10) without half trying. These are mostly for iOS - iPad and/or iPhone - though there may be equivalents for Mac OS.
I suggest you hit the app store and start doing some searches. I suspect you'll find something appealing fairly quickly.

Your location is determined from a location database which contains the MAC addresses of routers and their physical location. A MAC address is a unique number which is built-in to all network devices when manufactured. The database is built and updated by actually driving around and mapping router locations.
Since you just moved the location of your router has not been updated in the database and when you use Maps you will see your old location.
If you go outside your house you can be correctly located because your iPod sees other routers which are in the location database. Note that you do not need to be connected to a router for your iPod to see it and obtain its MAC address.

ATT won't unless they are asked to do so by the police and unless a major crime is involved, the police won't request this just for a stolen phone.
If the iPhone is running iOS 6, sounds like you didn't have the passcode lock feature enabled. Nothing prevents someone from powering the iPhone off and the same for removing the SIM card.

I should clarify: I didn't know it fell out, but I check my phone often enough that there were only about 10 minutes between when I last put it in my pocket and then realized it wasn't there.
We asked everyone around us if they saw it, and like 10 people were helping us look. But my husband used Find My iPhone and the Prey app right away when we realized it was missing (again, at most 15 minutes from the last time I used it) and it was already in offline / "cannot locate" mode.

Why doesn't the map search locations and only drops pins?

I started a project in iPhoto and used the map to show various locations. It was easy to insert the locations as the map searched them for you. Now I only appear to be able to drop pins and label them. This is going to be very time consuming if I have to precisely search each location manually... Any suggestions?

How do you set the location of a phot if it has nort recorded the GPS co-ords ?

This discussion is about photos on the map pages in a photo book. You can drop pins on the map of a book to mark a place, but that does not assign a location to a photo.
While viewing a map in a book, ctrl-click a place on the map and select "Drop Pin".
Adding location data to photos is not supported in Photos. I hope, the next update will add this necessary feature.

For the time being, you have to add GPS coordinates to the photos before importing them to Photos.
You could, for example, first import to iPhoto, add the locations, batch change the titles and captions, do all the things that are not yet supported in the new Photos, then export the photos from iPhoto and import them to Photos.
Or use the free exiftool, if you like the Terminal.

Other convenient apps are Jetphoto Studio, Geotagalog, houdahGeo, there are many more ..
I use Jetphoto Studio, but it is not free.
If you updated iPhpto to version 9.6.1 before the update, you can still use iPhoto.
Just drag it back to the Dock from the Applications folder.

The main idea is to move the iPhoto app to the Trash, so Spotlight does not see it as installed, reload the AppStore, and then to try to download again from the App Store - from your Purchases tab, not from the main page, since you can neither buy iPhoto nor update it, but you can reinstall, if your AppleID is associated with it.

You will need to have location services on for maps and the other apps that you require location settings for.

File to File and then Call ABAP Program and pass file name and location

I am new to PI and am working on the following requirement and some guidance would help:
A file is picked up from a third party server using FTP and is put in an SAP server in a specific location. After I have put in the file successfully, I need to call an ABAP program and provide the name and location of the file for further processing by the ABAP program.
Although I am familiar with File to File, how can I add in the ABAP call with the filename and location? I do not want to pass any other information to the ABAP program.

I think I get what you're saying. This additional file would have the file and the path in it's content. I would then use this as a source (FCC?) for Mapping with the RFC. Right?

Actually it depends on the operating system on which your PI system is standing. For instance for Windows, you might try with the following as a start point (but I was not able to test it, so I can't guarantee it will do the job):
cmd.exe /C "%f %F > C:\target_directory\%DATE%_%TIME%.txt"
In case you needed more, try googling on "windows batch script" or similar.

I was having a look to Illustration of Multi-Mapping and Message Split using BPM in SAP Exchange Infrastructure blog.
The functions are not the same. I mean, yours and blogs functions.
Each function has two parameters, Name and node. Furtheremore, in the blogs' functions is using arrays and you don't.
So, the right code will be
1.selectnodeifA
for(int i=0;i<=node.length();i++)
if(Name.equals("A"))
result.addValue(Node);
However, if you don't need an advance user defined function as you want to process just one element of the node's queue, you will not need to use for sentence.
Something like:
1.selectnodeifA
// for(int i=0;i<=n;i++)
if(Name.equals("A"))
result.addValue(Node);

Tables in mapping losing location after import

Hi, I have 2 OWB repositories (lets say Dev and Prod). Both contain the same objects but reside on different databases.
If I make a change in a mapping in Dev, export the mapping and import into Prod, the table references within the mapping have lost their locations and I need to edit the mapping and point them to the correct locations.
Any way around this or explaination of why it is happening ?

Hi Paul,
try to import the mappings using "match by name" and not "match by universal identifier".
The default import mode is "match by universal identifier". If your location on prod has an identifier different from the one on dev, it will not be found during import.
If you import using "match by name", owb will look for a location on prod with the same name as the location on dev.

IMovie 09 Maps and transitions

I have a substantial size project which was developed on iMovie 06, I have played around with iMovie 09 but am not able to transfer the project at this time.
My question is this: There are a few aspects of iMovie 09 which I would like to implement into the project, most notably the Maps tool, this enables you to view various regions of the world and point to point locations.
Are there any current third party groups which offer solutions to maps and newer transitions which can be implemented onto iMovie 06?

I guess this hasn't shown up on other iMovie '09 users. The only thing that helped was to revert to an earlier version of iMovie '09 and never upgrade.
Which begs another question: on a machine that has two copies of Snow Leopard on two different bootable disks, why does one work smoothly with iMovie '09, 8.0.5 while the other absolutely refuses to load it, and can only work with iMovie '09 8.0 (717).
The failing SL has been replaced ( no change ) then brought up to the latest update ( no change ) and reloads + reupdates of iMovie '09 have been tried along with numerous other things like Repair Disk Permissions, etc.
What could the OS possibly be doing? I've zapped PRAMs and everything I try does no good.

company code have number of products and they are being sold in various locations. here management wants to get financial statement both product wise and location wise below company code. the problem is that their is no field to post for BA, profit center and segment in MIGO posting and Billing document in standard SAP
please inform me is it possible to get financial statement both product wise and location wise below company code. if it is possible please provide answer.

Financial Statements can only be drawn at Company Code, Business Area, Profit Center, and Segment levels only.
If you want to have product wise, then the same must have mapped / designed against the one otherthan companyt code.

HERE maps and HERE drive for Universal app

Hi All,
Is Here Launcher supported in Win RT apps?
Our requirement is to show the following in the map both in phone as well as in tablet
1. user's location on the map with lat/long
2. multiple locations on the map with (lat/long collection)
3. directions on the map with (source lat/long, dest lat/long)
4. live traffic updates
5. show different types of pushpins on the map with (lat/long collection)
Right now I'm launching HERE maps and drive in phone using uri scheme, but it is not supporting point no. 2 and 5.
In Phone, is there any other way to launch HERE maps/drive other than uri scheme?
I'm not able to find HERE drive in windows store, is it not available yet?
In Phone, is it possible to go the HERE maps directly without hitting HERE splash screen? I know we are launching another application so we dont have control over splash screen, but is there any way to accomplish this?

HERE Launchers API document, it looks like Here Launcher is not supported in Store app.

As far as I know, HERE Launchers API and Uri Schemes are the only way.

Yes, I can only see Here Maps in Windows Store now, so I think it is not available yet.

I don't find any explanations to talk about this in the above API documents, so I think it's not possible yet using official way.
