Maps app button has disappeared?

Hello,
I hope there is someone out there that may be able to help?
I have a new iphone and the maps app button has disappeared? When i search the phone, i can find maps and it works fine, but how do i get my little button back on my screen. (yes i've checked it's not moved along and got mixed up with other app buttons). Do I have to reinstall?

Like Tamara said: Sometimes they have ended up on their very own screen.
Since Maps is a resident app, you'd likely have to do a Restore to re-install it. But best to a Reset first, if it is still lost.

A few days ago the 'update apps' button on my pc disappeared when I was syncing my phone. I've been updating straight on my phone. It's showing in my itunes on my pc that there are now 14 updates. Any suggestions?

I'm slightly confused by your problem.
The only "edit playlist" option is to Edit Smart Playlist, which allows you to change the rules for Smart Playlists, but that does not allow you to add or remove individual songs. Here's a screenshot of the different Playlist types:
To edit a Regular Playlist, simply drag the songs you want into it, or delete the songs from it.
If you highlight a regular Playlist and click on File, the Edit Playlist is greyed out and cannot be used. Frankly, I don't know why it's even shown.
If I want to delete the song Dap Walk from this Playlist, I simply right-click it and choose Delete:

Your toolbar? Mountain Lion is downloaded from the App Store, not a browser.
Launch the App Store then click Purchases from the menu at the top of the window.
You may need to click Store > Sign In (top of the App Store window) in order to view your purchases.

The App Store is a native iOS app and cannot be deleted. It can, however, be moved to different folders or home pages. Check all of your home pages and/or folders. You can also do a search of the phone, and it it resides in a folder, you will see the name of the folder to the right of the app in search.
You can also do a reset of the phone, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If this still does not seem to help you find the app, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.

Also make sure it did not get inadvertently moved to another screen or into a folder.
Pre-Installed Apps like the App Store cannot be removed or deleted.

- Have you used the Spotlight search feature to try to find the App Store app? It may be somewhere you can't find it.
- Restrictions could have been set to prohibit use of the App Store app by hiding it. Go to Setting>Genera>Restrictions. If it asks for a passcode then it is likely that the App Store app has been restricted.

I have installed Firefox 4 but the "New Tab" button has disappeared. I have searched toolbars etc. but can't see it. Any ideas, please?

My "New Tab" button has disappeared off the toolbar. I have searched the toolbar menus and "Customise Toolbar" but it's just not there. Back, Forward, Stop and Reload buttons are all there.

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar. 
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions. 
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible to the left of it. 
*If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" 
*If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar 
*If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Recently, my "edit playlist" button has disappeared all together when I right-click a playlist. I do know how to manually add to a playlist, but it's inconvenient. It's there when I click File, but I can't click on it. I've tried calling Apple, but of course, they wanted to charge me. I tried uninstalling iTunes, but it didn't help. I would very much appreciate any help on this matter. Thanks.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Am using Safari 6.0.5, suddenly my Yahoo mail account won't keep me logged in and the 'keep me logged in' button has disappeared. It is still there on Chrome so am assuming it is a Safari issue. It just happened suddenly. Have reset Safari.

I still don't understand what the problem that you are experiencing is. If you get to a page where yahoo is asking JUST for your password, and there is no box for username (it may have your username displayed, but not in a enter box), then you ARE "being kept signed in" You can verify this by instead of entering your password, go to www.yahoo.com home page, and it will say something like "Hi, Amber" This means you ARE signed in.
When you get that page asking for just your password, you are NOT being asked to sign in again. You are simply being asked to verify/enter your assword an Nth time. If you get that page right after entering your username and password, try clicking the "back" (previous page) button. It might just go to your inbox.
If this is the case, your problem has nothing to do with being kept signed in or not, the problem is that for some (unknown to me) reason, yahoo is asking you to re-enter your password, kind of like when your mac asks for your mac password when changing system settings. Yahoo does this as a safety feature when you go to account settings, and apparently abritary other times. I wish I understood just why I get it every time after signing in.
It could be because I have java turned off. It could be because I don't accept third party cookies. Maybe a cache file. Or a hundred other things... I don't know. It could simply be yahoo is scrooing safari users. I have glanced at the html, but to really understand it, it would take me days. There are over 25 places where username and password are in the html "source" code of the yahoo login page, and even understanding that may not tell me. In the past, I have seen code essentiall saying "if IE x.3.2" do this, if chrome do that, if mozilla do something else, otherwise make it next to impossible...."
My problem is not only I get asked for my assword a second time, but also (and only very recently) I do not get a prompt to save username and pasword. I have gone to yahoo help pages to try to figure it out, and I feel like I just run in circles. If one wants to send a question in, they have to answer half a dozen questions disclosing private information. And I pay yahoo $20/year. grrr
If when you are trying to access your yahoo mail and you are being asked to enter both your username and password, but didn't sign out of yahoo, then indeed your are not being "kept signed in"

I already had that done IE. I had duet already chosen as input and output etc etc.
The problem seemed to be the issue that was addressed by Eriksimon:
(( ctrl-click the track Header.))
Following that advice gave me a drop down menu which allowed the various buttons to be
checked and unchecked.

are nothing short of tragic. Perhaps Apple could start to give
out free ropes or razor blades to everyone who buys the program.
Not to say it is not much better that the other junk out there, it is,
the sorry fact is that that is not saying much at all.
