Hi, wonderwhynot. Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions! What were you doing with the phone before this issue started? Are you receiving any error message? What troubleshooting steps have you tried to solve this? BTW, where are you currently located & where did you purchase the phone?
Have you tried to reboot it? Press and hold the volume down & power keys? How about uninstalling & reinstalling the apps? Make sure that your phone has the latest software update:

  • Maps disappeared from my iPhone 4

I've just noticed that Maps disappeared from my iPhone 4 anyone know how to get it back?

You can't delete it.  Check all your screens and inside all your folders.  If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout, including Maps.  (This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may rearrange other apps to do this.)

    Hi QQF,
It is now under Settings>Privacy.....not sure why, but there it is!

  • Touch id disappeared from settings menu

afetr upgrading software touch id stopped working properly and O2 suggested a hard reset, which I carried out.  Subsequent to that the functionality has disappeared from the phone.  There is no touch id section under general in the settings menu, so no way to re-scan fingerprints.

I had the exact same problem.  Touch ID completely disappeared.  Just got back from Apple store.  Not a fixable problem.  They gave me a new phone.

  • Maps Disappear from screen N95

    Hi all,
I've got another topic running that I started when frustrated. This is a follow-on.
I've looked here at all the fixes for the NUMEROUS map problems with N95. This is what I'm left with,
I cleared the card and started again. Downloaded the maps (after running the Maps Application once). After I've down loaded the maps I open the application on the phone and great, there are the maps. Within 1 minute the maps disappear and my location indicator is centred on a green screen. Any search I try for locations is returned 'unable to locate'. I've looked through the memory card and everything is still there with no apparent changes, the phone just seems to *lose contact* with the map data.
Can someone PLEASE shed light on this. I've downloaded the same maps 5 times now trying to fix this.

    I found a solution here:

  • Maps on the SD card for Lumia 820

I've just ordered an 820, and now I see that apparently it's not possible to install maps to the SD card - is this true? So when what's left of the 8Gb is full with maps of Europe and apps and games, I have to uninstall something, even if I have 32Gb of empty space plugged into the phone? Please tell me you're going to fix this... I'm upgrading from a 5230 that was already an old design when I bought it, and I could store maps wherever I wanted. I know that microSD support has only just come to Windows Phone so I don't expect perfection right out of the box, but please consider fixing this, for me it's a major bug. If it's not going to happen I guess I should cancel the order and buy the HTC 8X, doesn't cost much more than the 820 and has double the storage, and now you released Drive+ for all Windows Phones...
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You are correct about not being able to install map data on the sd card. I travel overseas regularly and havent seen the need to download more than just the maps I need for the next few months and remove them when not required. This is because the data is updated a couple of times a year anyway, so even if I already have the data downloaded a few months previous, I'll probably need to redownload it again to get the latest updates just before I travel.
However, if you should want to download all the map data anyway, then the 820 is not for you and there is always the Lumia 920 with 32gb storage.

  • Icloud drive toggle has disappeared from settings

Now that I installed Yosemite I went to upgrade my icloud drive on my phone but the option is gone. Icloud does not work on any of the apps.
I restored from backup and still the same

Have approximately the same situation myself. Icloud drive disappeared completely from the icloud settings on my iPhone with ios 8.1.3 (after I have upgraded my iPad to ios 8.2 but maybe it's a coincidence)
Upgrading iphone to ios 8.2 did not resolve the problem.
The only thing that helped was reset to factory settings and initialize iphone as new device.
Restoring from backup introduced the problem again, so you are effectively stuck with a broken backup, forced to reinstall everything and configure all from scratch.
Not professional and not what I would have expected from apple.

  • When I access Visual Voicemail, my Personal Hotspot option disappears from settings.

Why does my Personal Hotspot option disappear when I access Visual Voicemail?  I need to reset network settings to get it back and then Visual Voicemail no longer works.
Also, does anyone know how I could disable Visual Voicemail and set the phone app's voicemail button to dial 901 instead? (as a workaround)

The iOS5 upgrade for the iphone allowed network operators to control the availability of the 'personal hotspot' feature. If your operator is one of those who charge extra for tethering (and most do) then by upgrading to ios5 you've facilitated them to remove the option for you.
Apple bowed to the demands of the opertators on this one.
I am with Tesco(O2) and as soon as I upgraded to ios5 I lost the 'personal hotspot' option.
I have the last laugh though; They cant control my Android phone so I put the Tesco mobile sim into that when I want to use tethering.
Get an Android phone or if you're in the UK use Three mobile who allow tethering.

Sorry to post this on ipad community and not on iphone, I couldn't find a way to delete the post

  • Can't turn of voice dialling from locked screen. Option disappeared from settings (I-Phone 4S)

I've just updated my I-Phone 4S to the iOS 7.1 and have lost the option to turn voice dialling off - this could be found in Settings > Passcode (Passcode Lock) > Allow Access When Locked > (then turn off the) 'Voice Dialiling. BUT I only see 'Passbook', 'Reply with Message' and a blank space where voice dailling was. I also have no idea where you can turn Siri off for good as that doesn't seem to be in the settings either.
If anyone has some useful comments or suggestions please post back!

  • With latest update, personal hotspot disappeared from Settings menu

How do I get the Personal Hotspot back on the Settings menu?

So this is what I did to rectify the problem. First, do a Network Reset, this resets all network settings to factory, wait for the iPhone to reboot. Then, do a Reset All Settings, you won't lose data or media, but if you have a passcode on, it will be erased, but is easily fixed when it reboots, also note your iPhone's background will be reset to the "Water on Window" background, so you will need to change that as well, but that's about it. Wait for the iPhone to reboot, then go to Settings>General>Network>Personal Hotspot, and turn it on, then immediately connect a computer to it, then afterward disconnect, and it should still show up in the settings on the iPhone, and visible to any computer with WiFi capabilities. I just had this happen to me a few minutes ago, and this fixed it. Try it.

  • Yahoo mail not synchronizing on my Lumia 820!!!

My Lumia is just about 2 months old, and for more than one month now, i have been having problems with accessing new emails from my yahoo email account on the Lumia.
My Nokia Lumia 820 fails to Synchronize new emails from my yahoo email address. Infact, i can no longer access new emails from my yahoo email on the Lumia. I have tried linking my yahoo email to my hotmail email account, but it still does not synchronize emails from my yahoo email account.
It comes up with the error code: 80048888 or yahoo mail error code: 80072F30 or error code; 8007274C (winmo.imap.mail.yahoo.com)
I am getting fed up already of the phone because even after visiting Nokia care, they have not been able to profer a solution to it for after 1 month.
Unfortunately one of the major reasons for buying the phone is to be able to access my emails on the go, and with this problem, tha aim seems defeated already.
Can anyone profer a solution please.
    Thanks

    Hi mayfag2,
    Welcome to the forum!
We understand your frustration about what's happening with your phone. is your Hotmail account working fine?Is the issue happening with Yahoo only? To clarify, you're not able to retrieve new messages but you're able to send out emails, is that correct?
Try removing your Yahoomail account by going to Settings > Email + Account. After that, tap and hold the Yahoomail, and then hit Delete. And then, re-set it up. If you have the right mobile settings, you may manually type them to set up your Yahoomail account. Just go to Settings > Email + Account > Add an account > Other accounts. You may ask Yahoo to provide you the right mobile mail settings for your Lumia 820. Check this link for a more detailed information about setting up or deleting an email account on your phone: Setting up or deleting an email account.
Note: When setting up an email account, make sure that you have a stable Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. Test both connections first by browsing the web using the phone's browser before you set up your email account. Try also to access your account using a PC to verify that the account settings are updated.

  • Lumia 820 - Offline Map data on SD card

I have same problem on my Lumia 820. Other map applications also failed. After trying many quick options i then used Nokia Software Recovery Tool to reinstall the phone software (latest black version). Here Maps and Drive did then work but I found it was not accessing map files from the SD drive (settings back to original defaults). I then used Lumia Storage Check app to try and change map storage from phone to SD card. Then when trying to check the maps using the same app I found it would tell me overall folder size of map folder but not show me the list of maps stored.  I then went back to the Here Maps app and found it was again no longer working. Changing the default storage back to phone using the Storage Check app immediately solved the problem. Therefore it looks like the problem is caused by the Lumia Storage Check App and/or the SD card. My next step - and I know almost nothing about the technology here - I tried to clear the map files from the SD card in case they were corrupted. I could not do this as the files were write protected. However i was able to delete one subfolder. I then went back to Lumia Storage Check and again set map storage to my SD card and again tried to look at the map files listed using the app. To my surprise it started working and the list of country maps on the SD card appeared. Also the Here Maps and Drive+ appsare now working with the storage set to the SD card. Other mapping software eg Run The Map is also now working.  Given my explanation above perhaps someone with real technical knowledge can provide a proper explanation and solution.

Sounds like the memory card itself is corrupted. Please,
format your card via Nokia Lumia » Menu » Settings » Phone Storage » tap on the card » (at the bottom of the screen) format SD card.
install the latest version of the Lumia storage check beta …
open not the Settings but Nokia Lumia » Menu » Lumia storage check » (swipe right) Details » Maps change » Store maps on SD card
touch the button maps below and install the desired countries
This works here for my Nokia Lumia 820 with Nokia Black.

That page is not about map data but HERE Drive+ (voice guided navigation).

Obviously Nokia has too many models, even their own employees get confused. That is not intentional but a mistake on that webpage.

  • WP8 Nokia Maps Lumia 820 - Offline Maps Can't Dele...

    Hello,
I have a Nokia Lumia 820 with approximately 1GB of memory free.
I am trying to download an offline map (approximately 150 MB) but I am always getting an error stating: "Not Enough Room, you need at least 1,137 MB of free space on your phone to get this map".
I get the same message when I try to delete a previously downloaded map!
Anyone had this issue before? Any help wuld be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

One year later, this bug is still around: Nokia Lumia 1520 (1028.3562.1402.0001) with HERE Maps 3.5.486.8.
In our German section, there is a guess, this relates to ‘maximum memory use’ (quota) which we all know from our Symbian days until Nokia Maps 3.01. It looks like the quota is fixed at 50%. Or stated differently: If your map data is larger than the remaining free memory, you get this error. or stated correctly: If your remaining free memory gets smaller than your existing map data, you get this error.
    Therefore, my solutions are:
to remove a very large country like Russia or China,
(three dots, horizontal ellipsis) Options » Delete all maps, or
to use a memory card and Lumia storage check beta.
The beta version still works on my Lumia Black. Because the now included Storage Check does allow Maps on memory card, you still need that beta. And because you cannot search and find that app from the internal Windows Store, you have to enter the above link into the Internet Explorer within your Lumia – or you download and install the XAP file manually.
Consequently, to download the whole HERE world, one needs a 64 GB memory card.
