Maps Gone on E6-00

Help,  I was recently in Nokia Store and noticed that there was a Maps update available for my phone.  I don't remember which version I was running.  When I tried the update it started out with a screen that said:
"You are now getting several new map apps for your phone, and we also made you some cool new homescreen widgets."
Within a few minutes, the following error appeared:
"Sorry, we currently have network problems, please try again later."
I retried several times with the same results.  I tried the update again the following day thinking the problem was with Nokia's network but I got the same results.  I tried again the next day (now three days in a row) and got the same error. The next morning (today), I noticed that the Nokia Maps application is completely gone.  I have no Map application at all.  I am not talking about downloaded country maps, I am talking about the actual Nokia Map application and widgets.
I have tried to redownload the Nokia Map application from the Nokia Store several times but I get the same results as above with the same error.  How can I get the Nokia Map application back?  This is the only reason I stay with Nokia.
I am currently running:
E6-00
Symbian Anna (No, don't tell me to update to Belle)
Software Version: 021.014
SW Ver Date: 2011-05-26

  • Tracking option in Latest Nokia Maps gone

Hi everyone, Ive updated my Nokia Maps on N95. Used their 3 days free trial, and now the tracking option has disappeared from the route menu. On the old version you could plan a route from A to B, and instead of Navigating there, you could use the Start Tracking option. This seems to be no longer available. Now if I plan a route, it wants me to buy the navigation stuff. Has any one else had this problem. The maps app is practically useless now unless you want to buy a licence key.

I too was made a victim of Nokia's failure to inform 'Maps' users of the lack of Tracking capabilities in the latest version of Nokia Maps.
I couldn't have been more dissapointed with the latest installment of a program which i had previously been very happy with! My reasons are simply,
    1) I don't think the interface is accesible as that in previous versions of Nokia Maps
    2) The lack of tracking capabilities
Like so many of you in this discussion i updated Maps and found i disliked the update and wanted to revert back to the latter version, easier said than done but i managed to do it...
First I performed a Hard Reset (*#7780#): WARNING, i recommend backing up the phones data first, i found this out the hard way!
After setting the country, time, date etc i found that Nokia Maps and a number of other Applications had been replaced by another set of icons and were named differently, eg. Nokia Maps now couldn't be opened and was called Smart2Go.
To rectify the apparently worsened problem i downloaded the Nokia Software Updater which informed me that although i had the latest Firmware i could reinstall it - i did this and PROBLEM SOLVED!
I hope by sharing my experience others might have their problem solved. I think the solution lies in reinstalling the phones software on Software Updater.

  • Where has maps gone in  Mavericks

I can launch Maps but no window appears when using Mavericks 10.9.2. How can I fix this. Started today. Using all day yesterday.

    I have Software  OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)
How do I update to latest version of Mavericks??
OS X 10.8.5 is too old for Maps.
Moving to the current OS X version involves downloading and installing Yosemite; Yosemite is the OS X 10.10.* releases, of which only the first (.0) is available.
Here are the requirements for Yosemite, and how to upgrade.
There's not usually a reason to use Mavericks (10.9) here, as AFAIK any system supported by Mavericks is supported by Yosemite, and both are free.
I'm going to guess you did not wipe this system when you got it, and the seller probably also didn't wipe it, which means you're dealing with all the changes and differences and idiosyncrasies that the seller left you with.  That's your call, of course.  Wiping the disk will delete all data on the disk; all user files, all installed apps, etc.
You can certainly spend time on this and probably get confused or frustrated and dealing with stuff that's been purchased or downloaded by another AppleID, or you download and build an installer for Yosemite, then erase the contents of the disk, and install a complete and consistent copy of Yosemite, and be on your way with current software.
If you're not familiar with OS X (and you may already have seen this), here's an intro to OS X; the Apple Mac Basics site.

  • Crypto map gone wrong

We've noticed a very strange issue on our Cisco 3800 router.
The router is hosting multiple Site to Site VPN connections. All of the VPNs are working fine.
While doing some routine diagnostigs we've noticed that one of the VPN's crypto maps is not displayed correctrly as you can see in the image below.
I checked the associated ACL and the last entry is displayed correctly.
I also tried to recreate the acl to see if that will fix this.
Only this crypto map is displayed like this. All of the other are displaing just fine.
I noticed that if I remove the last statement from the ACL then the crypto map will be displayed correctly.
What could be the reason for this phenomenon?
Can this cause any connectivity issues in the future?

Access-lists, FW (ZBF, CBAC) and all other features work on SVTI same way they would work on a physical or other logical interfaces (with very few exceptions).

  • Pop-up accented letter map gone

Previously when I ran Mavericks, a long keypress would bring up the pop-up menu for accented characters. As I often type words requiring various accents, this was wonderful. I installed Yosemite Beta and things were fine, and then I upgraded when the release came out.
Since updating to 10.10.1, however, a long keypress now gives me character repeats, which is much less useful to me. My computer has been rebooted (more than once) and there are no available system updates.
I'd really like to get my pop-up menu back - help?

    Hello tsukiyuuki,
As the accents are working for me with OS X 10.10.1 I did some digging and found this.
You can add accent marks and special characters to some letters. For example, hold down the a key to type à, á, â, or other characters.
If you set the Key Repeat slider to Off, special characters won’t appear when you hold down a key.
OS X Yosemite: Set how quickly a key repeats
I tested it and yes, Key Repeat slider to Off stopped the popup accent menus. See if that works for you.
    Take care,
    Nubz

  • Incoming email stuck in SOIN and Internal recipient Blank

    Hi experts,
ERMS solution hsa been implemented in CRM 7.0 And I configured a new recipient in CRMC_IC_AUIADDR and SO28 transaction.
For some senders only,The internal recipients is always blank in SOIN transaction.Hence its not reaching agent inbox.
Actually incoming new emails are visible in SOIN without internal recipient tagged ,which is supposed to be tagged according to SO28 new recipient entry. But if i send them again from SOIN, the internal recipient is getting tagged and mail reaches to agent inbox.
I couldnt figure out why this not working for new recipient only and existing set up is working fine.
Did i miss any config settings? is there any SAP standard jobs to schedule to process the missing internal recipeint mails from SOIN
    Kindly provide your inputs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Shan

    Hi,
After going through your response, looks to me, I made a wrong configuration in CRMC_IC_AUIADDR, SO28 transaction.
Explained here the existing scenario, May be you can point out my mistake where mapping gone wrong.
In existing scenario,Lets say customer sends an mail from test(at)partnerdomain.com,As you mentioned, inside the network the receiving id is customer.mys(at)domain.com.The exchange server changes to customer.mys(at)domain.com and deliver to SAP system.
According to existing configuration, In CRMC_IC_AUIADDR, receving email is defined as customer.mys(at) domain.com and Map receiving e-mail address to ERMS workflow  done in transaction SO28 already.
The changes i made was , When customer logs on to company website and sends an enquiry to enquiry(at)domain.com. Which needs to be sent to same receiver customer.mys(at)domain.com.
For this,I made a config, defined receiving mail address as ENQUIRY(AT)DOMAIN.COM in CRMC_IC_AUIADDR and and mapped ENQUIRY(AT)DOMAIN.COM with new recipient.

  • MBP 5.1 TOTALLY  LOST BOOT ABILITY

    DEAR COMMUNITY,
My isssues starts making me lost hope here: I TRIED TO SOLVED THIS FOR MONTHS.
Hope someone out there can give me a solution and at the same time teach us all here.
    Device:MBP 15" Late2009
    MacOSX /BootcampWin7 /ubuntu
1)ONLY 1 USB port 2) NO dvd drive 3) Keyboard Mapping GONE  4) Partion MacHD and Bootcamp MIXED up.
Major Issue: Device Cant detect Boot System
Secondary Issue:Mac and Win7 partition is combined(cant boot mac, when able to boot to windows cant login(keyboard mapping\
TRIED: Most of everys recovery option in apple support KINDLY help me.

    FAIRULKA,
no, since you have a 2009 model MacBook Pro (Apple didn’t make a Late 2009 model, so perhaps you have a Mid 2009 model?), you’re going to need your MacBook Pro’s grey installation DVDs which originally came in the box with your MacBook Pro. If you no longer have them, then you’ll need to contact Apple directly to purchase a replacement pair — they’re not sold in the Apple stores. Once your internal DVD drive is working, you will be able to boot from the grey Mac OS X Install DVD to reïnstall its original version of Mac OS X, and then you will be able to reïnstall its original iLife apps from the grey Applications Install DVD.
The Mid 2009 models’ original version of Mac OS X will be either Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5.7) or Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6). If your grey Mac OS X Install DVD has Leopard on it, then you will need to purchase a white retail Snow Leopard DVD to install Snow Leopard. Once Snow Leopard has been installed, you can then run Software Update to get to 10.6.8, which will give you the App Store, from which you could redownload Mountain Lion gratis (if that’s what you currently have installed, and if you’ve previously purchased Mountain Lion under your own Apple ID).

  • HT5429 Why has the maps app gone so sour in IOS6 can I revert to IOS5?

Why has the maps app gone so sour in IOS6.The images at any reasonable magnification are colourless and so fuzzy as to be useless.I loved my old Google based system which even allowed me to look into my house window from the street view function.I wish I had never accepted the invitation to upgrade to IOS6 I would like to go back tithe old system

Google and Apple have apparently parted ways in the 'bundled apps' area.
If you don't like the bundled map app, then your option is to look for a replacement in the app store.

  • Nokia maps 3 month license for the N78? Gone?

My N78 was supposed to come with a free 3 month nokia maps license, I am not sure where is the license is since there is nothing in the box, only a card that say that I have a 3 (DAY) trail.
Nokia maps was working before, until I did a full reset for the phone (Not including the MMC) due to the problems it had.
and now navigation is gone ... it asks about purchasing it.
so how can I get the navigation back??
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Go through the puchase procedure up to the point where it asks you to choose a map pricing option, then press Options and select Update - this will connect to the Maps server and reinstate any valid licences that exist to the phone.
If that does not work, contact Nokia cia the Conact Us link and ask them to check your licence.

  • I want to go back to OS 5 i do not care if i lose my saved data, i hate that google maps is gone and my email has changed too, ready to change from my 4s I-phone to go to a black berry

Coming from a Blackberry I was real happy to get the 4S iphone and loved it then an upgrade to OS6 crashed all hope that this will work for me , maps are useless and fustrating, im in sales and sometimes my car does not have the most current updates so i count on the phone. also my gmail is slower. i want to go back to os5 even if i loose everthing and have to put it all back. Is Apple does not fix this soon and add back the old app for Google with out me jumping hoops, ps i never want to see  Yahoo?????? again. then i will leave Apple at my first opportunity to go back to Blackberry. APPLE stop trying to fix what already works just allow your customer to choose which service they want, isnt that why you have apps to begin with choice.

    Hello!
I recently just downloaded the 'Waze' app as a backup for my Garmin. I've read a few reviews that seem to rant and rave about how good the GPS app is. It is community driven and maps are constantly being updated by users. Plus it has a few other fun stuff in it (something similar to Gasbuddy where you can owe prices on the map). But like the person above me said, there is lots of useful free GPS apps in the App Store.
Oh and I may be wrong but I remember reading an article about Google being slower about updating its maps system--ie no turn by turn voice, which many people have had complaints about.
    Happy Searching!
Ps - if you switch I wouldn't go to Blackberry.

  • Battery drain with ios6   apps crashing!   google maps app is gone. The Apple version is like asking a blind man for directions! Awful. As consumers we are caught up in the squabbles between Apple and Google, and we pay the price.

Does anyone else have battery life problems with the iOS6 update? Some of my other apps crash constantly, bringing my reading or workflow back to the home screen. The new map App is a disaster! Is there an online petition to have Apple bring back the Google map app? It is like asking a blind man for driections! Addresses, postal codes, locations, area codes and phone numbers in the Vancouver BC area are consistently wrong! AUUUUUGGGHHHHHHH!

As someone who spends a lot of time writing reviews (for vidya gaems ;P) I enjoyed your review. I am also looking at getting a new phone soon (I am saving up to buy out on refresh). I was considering th next iPhone but from reading your review I may consider this device instead. What I need to know is this. When the phone is in a phone holder which you have in a car for example does the screen get pressed at the sides? I don't wan't to open up Waze put my phone in a holder and it get cancelled out by what it thinks is a button press. Also, is the screen goign to be scratched easy? I am guessing there is no decent screen guards yet. I did buy some screen protection liquid that was recommended on these forums and my lumia still got scratched by about an inch or so.

  • Application - workspace mapping is gone !

    So,
I tried to update the app alias on the application attributes page, and got an error message teling me no page template is defined. Well, there is no option for defining it, so what to do ? I edited the www_flows table, the alias field, thinking I at least could change the alias and be done with it. Logging in to my workspace, the application is gone. Slightly panicking, I logged in as admin, finding the application, and assigned to workspace "Unknown". And no option to change it.
Now I'm really getting a little bit annoyed here. Admittedly, editing the table by hand wasn't the smartest thing to do, but why couldn't I change the application attributes in the first place.
I really hope someone have a solution to this, because there are several months worth of work here.
    peråge

    Peråge,
Manually editing the application definition quickly put you into unsupported territory. Manually editing the application is never ever supported or recommended by Oracle. Not only might you be modifying the application definition in some way that the HTML DB engine might not expect, you might also encounter issues in future upgrades.
To adjust the default page template in HTML DB 1.6, you need to specify this in your current application theme. The actions would be:
    1) Go to the Application Builder
    2) Click Shared Components
    3) Click Themes and Templates
    4) For the current theme, click the Edit icon
    5) Choose your default page template from the Page select list
    6) Click Apply Changes
    Hope this helps.

  • My maps app has suddenly gone BLANK, no longer displays anything but a creamy brown background and a blue dot, I've see other issues on other devices also, but not a single response from apple explaining how to resolve it.  Anyone else?

Before I left for Thailand, I didn't have a single problem with my maps app, however on return, I've found that it no longer displays anything in the main map screen, hybrid and sattelite still show something (but aren't accurate), but in maps itself, all there is is a blank screen. This not only affects maps, but all my other programs that are obviously linked somehow to apple maps are now doing the same thing... Nike Running, iSmoothRun, Argus, all now show my route, but it's overlaid over a BLANK map area.
Anyone see this? and know how to fix it?

I've done soft and hard resets, power off resets, I've deleted the three apps that are associated with maps and reinstalled them, the only thing I haven't done is a full restore, which from other peoples experiences I've see hasn't fixed the issue. So, I've avoided that because I don't want the 7.0.5 update (my 5S is a China coded model)
