Mapviewer 12.1 3   spins on URL login

Hi All,,
Installed new mapviewer on 12.1.3 WLS installation with FMW Infrastructure.
After installing Mapviewer, the URL to server  just keeps spinning...
meaning, it is redirecting to http://server:7001/mapviewer/faces/main/login.jspx
and it just spins and does not render a page.
Any ideas are appreciated
thanks

Did you follow all the installation steps inside this link http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/core/JIMPV/vis_start.htm?

  • How to change route url login home sap at .../irj/portal

    dear all,
    is possible to change login home page url sap portal with another file except loginPage.jsp
    how to route index page to another file jsp custom?
    and can you describe to me how route structure /irj/portal file because i will custom another file
    thank you

    Hi
    If you are trying to redirect the /irj/portal to a custom path then you can use the ICM parameter
    icm/HTTP/redirect_0 = PREFIX=/irj/portal, TO=/<yourcustompath>
    Either in your Portal app server or in your Web Dispatcher if you have a web dispatcher fronting your Portal.

  • Spinning beachball on login/authentication, but only when connected

    Since installing a new router (Linksys WRTP54G) and Airport Express (in WDS mode), I get the spinning beachball of death when logging in after sleep, switching users, or authenticating on a wireless iBook G4 (OS X.3.9). I've waited for many minutes, but the beachball doesn't go away. If I turn off Airport, everything works fine. I don't have this problem on my other wireless laptop (Powerbook G4).
    Below is an excerpt from the iBook system log in case it's helpful.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Big trouble spinning wheel after login

    Hi I just upgraded my PG G4 to Leopard...
    1. At first I couldn't login, when the login window show up a permanent spinning wheel made impossible to login;
    2. following instruction given in this forum I was able to remove the login step and finally Leopard loads;
    3. Leopard loads but on a home folder named "home1" instead of the "home" in which it loaded with Tiger. The old "home" is still present with all its documents;
    4. Once loaded a spinning wheel made impossible to use the system.
    SO what can I do in order to:
    1. repair the spinning wheel;
    2. Load the system on the original "home" with all my docs and applications?
    Thank you so much...I'm so down...
    F.

    Restart holding the Command and R keys so you boot to the recovery HD partition.  From Utilities on the menu bar choose, Install Mac OS X and reinstall OS X.  See if that fixes what is broken.

  • Directing url logins to Oracle apps

    Hi,
    If I connect to Oracle apps using this link:
    http://adedapo.gbitero.com:8001/
    and I want to access the same page using http://www.scm.gbitero.com or http://scm.gbitero.com
    What is the best way to do this?
    Is this the alias/ virtual host thing of the apache?
    Thanks

    I'm not sure about using both of those URLs, normally they'd be separate servers which I think is ok. Check the doco e.g. DMZ/internal config.
    One thing to point out is that it is not just one port that is used with Oracle EBS. Sure 8005 in your case would be the main port for HTML/OAF based pages within EBS, but you've also got Forms on (probably) 9005, plus if you use things like Discoverer, OEM and other products that run on separate ports then if they "have not been configured" then you'll have problems with those.
    I'm guessing you've got Firewalls that prompts your "have not been configured" statement. You'll need to look closely at the required incoming ports and allow them through firewalls (+ routers if necessary).

  • Problem Accessing Mapviewer 12c Administration Console

    I am attempting to install and configure Oracle Mapviewer 12c (v12.1.3).  The installation appears successful but after performing the installation, I am unable to access the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console.  The default Admin Console URL is http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer.  I can reach the URL using a browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE) but the admin welcome page will not display.  The browser just "spins it's wheels" as it tries to load the page. The image below is from Firefox
    Examining the browser's developer console (by pressing F12) while the page is loading, you can see it cycling through the login page repeatedly (see image below).
    My environment consists of the following:
    1) Server OS: Linux x86_64 (RedHat Enterprise 5.11)
    2) Oracle Weblogic Server 12c - "Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure" distribution
    As per the documentation, Oracle Mapviewer 12c requires specific dependencies that the Generic Weblogic Server installation will not provide (i.e. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/overview/index.html).  Instead, you must use the "Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure" distribution, to install weblogic server and all the required dependencies.
    The Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure distribution was downloaded from the Oracle ADF download page on OTN or from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.
    - Oracle ADF download page on OTN: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/downloads/index.html
    - JAR file fmw_12.1.3.0.0_infrastructure_Disk1_1of1.zip
    3) Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer Version 12c (12.1.3)
    - downloaded from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/mapviewer/downloads/index.html
    - JAR file is fmw_12.1.3.0.0_mapviewer.jar
    Following the instructions in the Users Guide for Oracle Mapviewer 12c E29624-02 (http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/core/JIMPV/index.html), I first installed and configured Weblogic Server 12c, followed by Mapviewer 12c.
    I made two different installation attempts:
    a) I installed Mapviewer Using the Universal Installer
    b) I Manually Deployed an Exploded MapViewer EAR Folder in WebLogic Server
    Both attempts produced the same results.
    Specifically, after installing and configuring Mapviewer, I could verify the version of Mapviewer using the URL:
    http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer/omserver?getv=t
    Accessing this URL immediately resulted in the expected response text string:
    Ver12.1.3_B140430.1010
    I could also successfully access the Weblogic Admin Console (http://[host]:[port]/console) and confirm the Weblogic is running, and that Mapviewer has been successfully deployed and running as well.
    However, at this point, if I try accessing the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console via http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer, the Console launch page does not display (as described above).
    At this point, I am asking myself why does Oracle's Demo site work (http://slc02okf.oracle.com) and mine doesn't.  I assumed Oracle's own demo site for Mapviewer was using Mapviewer 12c.  I based that assumption on the fact that Orqacle's Demo site (http://slc02okf.oracle.com/mvdemo/demo/oracle_maps_demo_v2.jsp) displays a header referencing Mapviewer 12c (see image below).
    However, when I queried the version URL for Oracle's Demo site (i.e. http://slc02okf.oracle.com/mapviewer/omserver?getv=t), I see instead that they are running Mapviewer 11g!!
    Ver11_1_1_7_3_B140717
    So, long story short, has anyone successfully deployed Mapviewer 12c, and if so, can you access the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console??
    Any and all input is greatly appreciated.
    Wayne

    Wow!  That was it.  I was starting the Mapviewer server using 1.8.0_31 (the latest Java 8 JDK).  I switched it over to 1.7.0_75 (latest Java 7) and it works!  Big Thanks!
    The Mapviewer 12c User Guide states that you need "JDK7 or later".  I just assumed "later" meant JDK8 as well.  However, when I checked the certification matrix on My Oracle Support for Mapviewer 12c and JDK, it only shows Java 7 as being certified.

  • Session Time Out and Redirect to login page - urgent

    My problem is I want to display alert message and redirect to the home page when session expires.
    Iam using TimeOutListener in my application as follows.
    public PhaseId getPhaseId() {
    return PhaseId.ANY_PHASE;
    public void beforePhase(PhaseEvent phaseEvent) {
         FacesContext facesContext = phaseEvent.getFacesContext();
    HttpSession sessionx = (HttpSession)facesContext.getExternalContext().getSession(false);
    if(sessionx == null) {
         FacesUtils.sessionCheck = true;
    String ampee = (String)((HttpServletRequest)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest()).getAttribute("ampee");
    if(ampee != null && ampee.equals("ampee")) FacesUtils.sessionCheck = false;
    if(phaseEvent.getPhaseId() == PhaseId.RENDER_RESPONSE) {
         if(FacesUtils.sessionCheck){
         facesContext.getApplication().getNavigationHandler().handleNavigation(facesContext, "", "sessionExpired" );
         FacesUtils.sessionCheck = false;
    ExternalContext externalContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext();
              HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest) externalContext.getRequest();
              HttpSession session = request.getSession();
              if (session.isNew()) {
                   try {
                   String errorPageURL = externalContext.getRequestContextPath() +
                   "/index.jsf?errorpage=true";
                   externalContext.redirect(errorPageURL);
                   }catch(Exception e){
                        e.printStackTrace();
    here i have appended param errorPage=true...
    in jsp page i have used following code to get the param<% if(request.getParameter(errorPage)!=null && request.getParameter(errorPage).equals("true")){%>
    <script>alert("session expired");</script>
    <%
    %>
    Can any one help me how to Implement this?
    Do u know another way pls let me know...

    Consider using the Javascript setTimeout() function in conjunction with HttpSession#getMaxInactiveInterval(). The HttpSession#getMaxInactiveInterval() returns the remaining seconds of the session lifetime.
    Basic example:<script>
        setTimeout("alert('The session will timeout after one minute.')", <%= (session.getMaxInactiveInterval() * 1000) - 60000 %>);
    </script>I've given the client one minute (60000ms) extra time space to respond accordingly.
    Use this in combination with the following head:
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="<%= session.getMaxInactiveInterval() %>;url=login.jsf">which will redirect to login.jsf if the session is timed out. You can also redirect to another page of your taste, e.g. error.jsf or so.

  • Custom Login using the Pluggable Identity Management Framework

    Hi all,
    We are trying to establish 2 ways into our application:
    1. via a login form
    2. seamless login from an external application
    To achieve this we are trying to build our own custom authentication using the pluggable IDM framework.
    Basically if a secure page is requested, we want to check the header/cookie/request (don't mind which) for a key which is provided by the external application. If present, the key is validated against a web service provided by the external app, the identity is asserted and the user is entered seamlessly into the application. If the header/cookie/request does not contain a key the user is to be redirected to a login page, where they can input username and password which will be validated against our database.
    We've created a Token Collector and Token Asserter class, we've modified our custom Login Module to retrieve the identity created by the Token Asserter but we haven't worked out how to get the alternate login page working for users which don't come through the external application.
    Has anybody built anything similar? From the documentation it appears we should be able to achieve our goal using the pluggable IDM, but we're going around in circles a bit at the moment.
    Any help/sample code would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks.

    Can you tell why the page is not working? I mean, any errors ? What happens when you try to open the protected resource?

    Exception Message:
    java.security.AccessControlException - access denied (com.collaxa.security.ServerPermission server read)
    Though my esb console, orawsm,rule author, hw_service all are working fine. For your info I am using default file based security. realm is jazn.com
    THe problem I fetched since I registered soa_oc4j with OID. and then assign orabpel instance level security provider to OID. later I switched to again my default existing file based security without checking OID is working or not. I restarted oc4j container, soa_oc4j and restarted database.DOne everything but all failed.
    Tried all possibility gone in vain. My requirement is so urgent that I am dying for it.
    plz if somebody can come up with a solution It will be highly appreciated.
    domain.log gives me the following..

    Hi AJ,
    I have not followed the same. I have done to register OID from em console. and then simply changed the security provider as newly registered OID with bpel and hw_services.Is there any way to revert it back.*however I have found that the is_config.xml.BPM is missing from the <SOA_HOME>/bpel/system/services/config directory.*
    Later anyhow I have restored file based security provider to all the component currently running on my OAS. Here is the status of my jazn.xml file. Now I do not need OID at all.

    Hi Gokmen,
    Enhancement for clearing the design time errors by providing support for xsi:type is planned for the Shepherd release.
    The workaround for the Connection Pool errors is to define using the API.Below sample code can be useful for you.
    Create a class which implements SessionEventListener or extend SessionEventAdapter and override the preLogin(SessionEvent event) and define read and write connections in the method.Register the SessionEventListener with session(open the session.xml in JDeveloper flat editor->Options->EventListener->browse and Select the class).
    When application is run and preLogin() event will be called and connection pool is defined with read and write connections.
    package model;
    import org.eclipse.persistence.sessions.SessionEvent;
    import org.eclipse.persistence.sessions.SessionEventAdapter;
    public class SampleEventListener extends SessionEventAdapter {
    public SampleEventListener() {
    super();
    public void preLogin(SessionEvent event) {
    System.out.println("in the pre login method");
    org.eclipse.persistence.sessions.server.ServerSession serverSession=(org.eclipse.persistence.sessions.server.ServerSession)event.getSession();
    serverSession.addConnectionPool("testReadPool", event.getSession().getDatasourceLogin(), 1, 10);
    public void postLogin(SessionEvent event) {
    org.eclipse.persistence.sessions.server.ServerSession serverSession=(org.eclipse.persistence.sessions.server.ServerSession)event.getSession();
    System.out.println(serverSession.getConnectionPool("testReadPool").getMaxNumberOfConnections());
    System.out.println(serverSession.getConnectionPool("testReadPool").getMinNumberOfConnections());
    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
    Currently the session.xml shows design time error(as support for xsi:type is not there), but this will not block deployment or functionality of application.
    The workaround for the Connection Pool errors is to
    provide name element for the connection pool in session.xml after configuring read and write connection pools at session level as below
    <connection-pools>
    <read-connection-pool>
    <name>read-connection-pool</name>
    <login xsi:type="database-login">
    </read-connection-pool>
    </connection-pools>

I seem to be getting logged out of our App when switching between the serverfarms. Is there any way to fix this issue? My configuration is below.

    Hi,
    So when you come with " http url /index.html", you go to "sticky-serverfarm 7001_STICKY" and ACE must be inserting sticky "ACE_COOKIE-7001". Now when you get redirected because you match "HTTPS-Spend", ACE will loadbalance the request which will now come on HTTPS and insert sticky " ACE-COOKIE-SPEND".  That's why i guess you see two sticky entries. Now i guess ACE will keep the connection to servers in  "sticky-serverfarm SPEND_STICKY" or you see that ACE is not doing the same or you expected the ACE to send the requested to "sticky-serverfarm 7001_STICKY" even though it matches the HTTPS-Spend class-map condition?

  • MapViewer 11g over https problem - how to solve ?!?

    Hi,
    anyone able to access mapviewer 11 g deployed on standalone OC4J 10.1.3.4 over Https ?
    Namelly, the following link works:
    https://localhost/mapviewer/
    _but, going on the 'Demos' tab, and clicking on the 'maps and faces' link ( https://localhost/mapviewer/faces/fsmc/oraclemaps.jspx ) - produces the following javascript error:
    [Exception... "Access to restricted URI denied"  code: "1012" nsresult: "0x805303f4 (NS_ERROR_DOM_BAD_URI)"  location: "https://localhost/mapviewer/fsmc/jslib/oraclemaps.js Line: 6497"]Anyone able to access mapviewer (deployed on any server) over https ?

    MapViewer works over HTTPS with some minor configuration changes. First, you may need to tell MapViewer to return generated map image URLS in the form of "https://...", which is done in the config file mapViewerConfig.xml through the <save_images_at> element.
    From the error message it does seem to indicate maybe the JavaScript API (oraclemaps.js) is being loaded from "http://" while the web page itself is accessed via "https://" and browser thinks they are two different domains. Maybe you can change how the JS library is loaded in your page and see if that fixes the issue?
