Marantz iPod dock not feeding video signal to tv

I have the Marantz IS201 iPod dock, which works fine for audio, and talks to the tv fine in terms of displaying iPod data on the screen. But when I actually try and play videos or photos, no joy - most I get is the little play arrow at top left of screen, for a moment. Anyone else have any experience with this?

Easiest way to do this now is with apple tv

  • K8n NEO4 bios update to 1D: audigy + pci modem = no start (not even video signal

I updated my old 1.4 bios (alredy updated once) to 1D. The system was running fine but i was preparing for dual core update.
After bios update the neo4 was like dead. Not even video signal.
I removed both SB audigy and pci adsl modem and it started as usual.
If i add 1 pci card only (audigy OR PCI modem) the system works, while if i add BOTH the cards it is dead.
Changing slots did not solve the problem.
System is running with defaults values.
Any bios setting? do i have to go back to 1.4, 1.5 or 1.6 bios to use an athlon 64 X2 4800+?
    Thx

  • Accurian iPod Dock Not Compatible?

I just bought an Accurian iPod Dock for my 80GB Classic iPod. However, it does not work when I try to connect it to the composite out in my TV. The iPod just says, "TV Out Enabled, Please Connect Video Accessory." I'm guessing it's not compatible, but is there a way to make it work? Or should I just return it?

There have been many many reports both here and elsewhere of the iPod Classic not working with 3rd party accessories.
It seems Apple have changed the way the Classic interacts with these accessories.
If you search the threads here you'll find many posts on this subject.

  • Ipod will not see video's as video

Ok, my ipod will not see the vids on it ad videos, but I can play them from the songs. My issue is if I made itunes update and see them as such them all the music no longer in my itunes folder disapears. I need a way to have my ipod recognise the video's on it as such, without killing my music collection.

It seems like others are having the same problem. Today I noticed my iPod won't play videos anymore either. I'm cruising around these topics to try to determine why. I already used the 'Restore' feature and spent about an hour copying stuff back to the iPod only to find that it still does not work.

  • New $400 iPod dock that plays video games!!!

I just spent $400 dollars on a new iPod dock that also plays video games. You can hook up your iPod via USB2.0 to a Xbox 360 and it works great. You can view your iPod contents through the Xbox 360 dashboard and play it through your home theater. You can also stream music off of your iPod while your playing a game. Too Cool!!

Hi, a year ago I build my computer, a gaming PC, and everything works fine until a few days ago, exactly one year after the build, I was on mi pc when suddenly all freeze out, the video and the sound I just had to press the shutdown button, when I start the pc again it just start like 3 seconds and restart infinitely.
After a web search I start to think that the PSU was the problem but after more research looks like the motherboard was the problem so I take out the battery and put it back and start the pc.
The PC starts again, but another problem begin after that there is no video signal. The monitor doesn’t show any image I try to disconnect the Graphic card but nothing I press the button of the Motherboard to reset it but still the same I can’t solve the problem but there is more, after the PC start it stays ON like a minute and then restart again but the second time no restart anymore.
    Any suggestion ?

So now you can boot with no auto restart, but without display?
You tried with IGD (on-board display)?
Maybe try another monitor or cable,
and use only one RAM stick w/ different slots to boot.

  • IPOD 5G NOT ACCEPTING VIDEO PLEASE RESPOND

I'm sure there has been multiple posts about this issues in the past but i need some help. When I try to connect my 5g to itunes it does not accept the video files but does accept the audio. I get a message that says "some of the files cannot be played on this ipod". What is goin on??
Can someone help me solve this problem or give me a link to past threads discussing and solving this problem?
    Thanks.

    My pleasure
    1. Fist you you to the Movies tab, uncheck the check box "Sync the following...."
    2. Click on the "+" button on bottom-left conner to add the movie. A dialog will open, search for your movie. 1 movie a time.
    3. It will do the rest of convertion for you.
    4. Look in to the folder where PSPWare stored the convertion files and take it (C:\Documents and Settings\....\My Documents\PSPWare\Movies)
    5. Go to iTunes on File->Add files to Lib and look for the movie file you just converted.
It should show on the Movies section of iTunes, and it will copy to iPod next time you plug it in.
There are some more configuration in converting movie on PSPWare if you want to try it (button "Options..."). If not then you still get nice movies on iPod.
Goodluck, let me know if you need any help. Cheers

  • 5th gen Ipod does not load video on Itunes

My 5th gen color Ipod recently began having problems when I updated Itunes software.
The video that is on my Itunes library does not transfer when synced to Ipod.
Video on Macbook plays but is not recognized by Ipod and does not load.
    Any help is appreciated.

Check your settings for sync. The default for videos are that only unwatched videos get synced.

  • IPod will not load videos or purchases.

I received my black 30gb video iPod for Christmas. When I opened the box everything seemed to work fine. The click wheel seemed a little laggy but I just dismissed it as a design flaw.
Having been without a working iPod for almost 6 months I was eager to transfer all of my music to it. When I connected it to my Macbook Pro and began the instructional process, I was informed with the following error message with something along the lines of:
“Some songs won't transfer to your iPod because your iPod software is too old.”
Now, seeing as I was about to embark on an eight-hour drive to my college campus, I was in no position to seek a resolution to my dilemma. It is only now that I am able to fully devote myself to the problem.
    The Problem
I have two computers, my Macbook Pro and a PC I built two summers ago. When I first received the error message, my first reaction was to update it. However, both the "Update" and "Restore" features are grayed out when I plug my iPod into my Mac. This prevents me from updating it or restoring it in any form on OS X.
Next I looked at the "About" feature under my iPod's settings and noticed that the iPod was configured for Windows. We did not intentionally buy an iPod formatted for Windows nor had we plugged it into a Windows oriented computer prior to opening it. The fact that it came to me already a slave to Windows didn’t bother me since I know that a Windows iPod can be read by both OS X and XP, but the fact that I could not update or restore my iPod still bothered me.
I plugged the iPod into my Windows computer to try to update it. I did to my surprise find an update but when I tried to plug it back into my Mac, I still received the same error. I even tried to reformat the iPod.
I have the most recent versions of Quicktime, iTunes, and iPod software known to me.
    Quicktime Player Pro 7.1.3
    iTunes 7.0.2
    iPod Software 1.2.1
None of my purchased music or videos will transfer. It is also interesting to note that podcasts, and self-loaded videos will ALSO not transfer to the iPod.
If there is any other information (including screenshots) that I can provide, please let me know as I would be more than willing to obtain them.
    -Thanks

yes itunes can convert movies into ipod playable format. to do this you have to do the following below
1)add the file you want to convert to the itunes library( file->add file to library)
    2) once you added the file right click on the file and select covert selection for ipod
    3) this will start the conversion and when thats done you will be able to load the videos onto your ipod.
mpg is not a playable format for the ipod. the videos have to be in quick time format.
but i wont advise you to use itunes to convert your videos. it takes too long when converting. try using a third party conversion programme like videora there are others try googling them
    hope that helps

  • 30GB ipod does not play videos, it loads but does not streams...

i have a 30gb 5gen ipod, ant it has a problem... it doesn't plays video. video clips i used were converted in itunes, so it had to fit the requirments. video loads ok, but when i try to play it it shows play sign in the left up corner, however nothig hapens, just black screen. when i push the forward buton it goes forward and i can see that the video clip loaded well, it's just not streaming, looks like it is on pause or something. i have tried to restore it, reinstall it... nothing helped
    please help!!!

Hard Reset the  iPod  as below- this does not delete or erase any song or data.
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the  next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON
    Then release the buttons
    Select your preferred language.

  • IPOD STILL NOT LOADING VIDEOS

It has been a week or so since being on the discussions pages. The problem that I have got still has not been solved. The main problem being that my IPOD Video will not let me put any videos on it. Note they where ok until computer crashed reset everything. Music gone on ok but itunes now saying my ipod want let videos on it. Somone said there was a problem with the new program which I downloaded. I have tried many different things no getting anywhere really fed up as videos not on ipod. Can anyone help??????
    Ta Emma

What you must do is: when in Itunes, on the left hand menu bar click on your ipod name while it is plugged up. The summary screen will show up, click on the music tab and at the bottom it will give u an option to sync music videos too. Check the box that says sync music videos, then click apply. After that you much sync your ipod again so the changes can process. And you will soon be enjoying your videos on your ipod.

  • Sony iPod Dock Not Compatible with iOS 4

I play a 3GS through a Sony HD-radio with a dock on the top. Upgrading the 3GS to 4.0 resulted in a popup that says "this accessory is not compatible with iPhone." It was yesterday - now it isn't. Apple: Did you break accessory compatibility on purpose? If not, will you please fix?
Message was edited by: Four to the Side

I invested in a nice expensive Sony wireless speakers sound system with an iphone dock. Worked perfectly until the stupid 4.0 update came out, and now it brings out the same stupid error message all the time and I can't play any streaming media, on the sound system, which was the main reason I bought the originally compatible sound system. Great job apple !! They are trying to expand too fast, and now they are producing mediocre products ! I am really upset about this ! I just want to downgrade the **** software back to 3.1 and then never update it again :?

  • Not Getting Video Signal

I just purchased an 80 GB Black iPod Classic today and I was told by the Apple salesman to also purchase the "iPod A/V Cable" so I can also view videos. It cost about $19.99 and so I purchased it. After syncing everything into my iPod, I get ready to play all of it back on my TV. I plug everything in the right color codes, except I only get audio. The audio plays back and sounds fine, but the video is non-existent. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to take this iPod A/V cable back?
Your help is greatly appreciated at this time. Thanks!

    Hello there.
I'm pretty sure you will need the new AV cable that connects to the bottom of the ipod. It 's confusing because the chart on this page makes it seem like the old AV cable will work too. I took mine to the Apple store and all seemed to agree that I needed the new cable out in 3-4 weeks.
    Anybody know if I'm wrong?
