Marathi font in SMARTFORMS.

Hi All,
I have to design one form in Marathi Language through SMARTFORMS.
In my PC marathi unicode script is installed and in microsoft word i can write in marathi
but in smartforms all the letters are in " # " .
Please let me know how can i write marathi font in SMARTFORMS.

Is it only when you come back to the PC editor that SAP has converted the characters (or in the preview), or is it when you really print?
For the printout, as already explained in the forum many times, the problem of hash characters is usually that the code page of the device type of the output device does not contain these characters, so SAP replaces them by the hash character. So just choose the right device type (ask your administrator if you don't know).

Creating the Standard Text:
Go to SO10
1. Enter Text Name. For example, ZABC
2. Text ID ST
3. Language EN
Click on Create.
And enter the Required Information and save.
To include a Standard text in SmartForm.
Follow the steps below:
1. Create a text node in the window.
2. Under general attributes select "Include text" as Type.
3. Specify the fields under Text.
Text Name ZABC
Text Object TEXT
Text ID ST
Language EN.

How to print true type font in smartform with ECC6

hi,expert:
I want to use true type font "Comic Sans MS.ttf".
I upload this font file by SE73 named ZTT2I.
In SE73.. select the Radio button "Font Families" And click on the "True type Font Installation" button. click the font attribute ITALIC。
Our print device is LP01 and driver is CNSAPWIN
when I create a new style in smartform using the font ZTT, in preview window the font still like other font.
Our system is IDES ECC6, SAP_BASIS SAPKB70014
Now when I create smartfrom in language EN adn logon with language EN,it can print correct style of that font.
But if the smartform is base on language ZH or logon with language ZH, the output is not correct.
why? How to solve it?

Hi,
Is the problem that uploaded true type font ZTT is not used when language is ZH? Did you update the chinese version of the style associated with the smartform? There is a separate style for each language version. So you need to log on in Chinese language and update the style with new paragraph, character formats. Then you need to activate the style and smartform for ZH langauge also.

the ABAP forum administrator take this question to netweaver forum.
Now when I create smartfrom in language EN，it can output correct style of that font.
But if the smartform is base on language ZH, the output is not correct.
why? How to solve it?

Change font in SMARTFORMS

Hi Experts,
I am developing a smartform for label printing.
for that according to the size of the label i have to adjust the content.
How can I change the font size of the entire content including the logo?
I tried to reduce the font size in the new style but it doesn't reflect in the print.
Please suggest how to proceed for this situation.

Hi,
To adjust the size of the logo, I believe you need to reduce the size of window.
To adjust the size of font, you need to adjust in pragraph formats & character formats in SMARTSTYLES t-code.
If the changes are not reflecting in the printout means, the printer you are using is not supporting the font style you are using.
Pls try with some other font style & size and then check.

hi anil,
goto transaction 'SMARTSTYLES' from the control bar .
in here u an set the font family , font size ,font style like bold, italic etc.
after setting the font use the same in smart forms .
note: assign the same in the transport request of the smart form cause if the release status is gone wrong then the font will cause problems.like if u r familiar with scripts u will understand..

Add new font in smartform - SE73

Hi All.
We want to use VERDANA font for our smartform. It is not available by default.
Can we upload it and use it? Our basis team says it has license issue. Is that true?
If no, how can we go about doing it?

You can of course upload a new font, and as I'm aware there's no licence impact.

Dear all,
Could it be possible to specify font "Verdana" in smartform print?
Our customer required that they want to print their invoice in Font type "Verdana".

Hello James,
If the font family 'Verdana' is not there then create the font family through SE73 transaction.After creation that font create one smartstyle and use that style in your smartform.

Once you have created the Smartstyle go to your Smartform and in the Form Attributes->Output options give the name of your Smartstyle.
Now you can use the paragraph and character formats defined in the Smartstyle in the text elements of your Smartform.

Draft font in smartform

Hi gurus,
I need to print an output in SF on DOTMATRIX printer.
The client is telling to use DRAFT font wherein it can easily print on dotmatrix output.
I coudnt find this font in our dictionary.

Hi,
call transaction SE73 and press button "Install truetype font". In the new window select a font name (or create previously one) and enter the path for the file with your draft font. Perhaps you have it in your computer. Make a search with windows explorer with '.ttf' or under c:\windows\fonts'.

Fonts problem with Smartforms...

Hi Gurus,
I have a problem with fonts in smartforms.
My smartforms fonts are working fine in testing server but not working fine in development server. We work like after development we transport the object to stage (Testing) & then to production. I see the last modifications done were 1 st may 2008 but in development the last changes are shown 7th July 2008. So what I think is the object is not completely transported to testing server? What could be the other reason please let me know ASAP.
