MARCH 18, 2014 NEW UPDATE CRASHES

I've been anticipating the new update I was told would be today, and it was. After I updated it to Version 28 I opened FF and it immediately crashed. I sent in a crash report, and did that three other times. So now, sadly, I'm back to version 27 that stinks as well.
Anyone have any ideas as to whats wrong with it?? I checked my addons for compatibility and said they were fine. I did nothing different except update to newest version. Not sure what else to do. I refuse to uninstall anything at this point, although that seems to be the basic "advice" given here.....it never solves my problems LOL
So, what next?? And thanks for any help.

And no I'm not providing anything. Google the issue and you'll find this isn't a rare occurrence.

  • Photoshop new update Crashing

    Hi,
    I just installed the new photoshop update and now I can not select objects with the path select tool. I have to use the move tool to select the object then select it with the path tool and once I have the path selects and try to move an anchor point photoshop crashes. This has happened three times.

    1. Open the System Profiler by selecting About This Mac under the Apple icon select More Info. Does the System Profiler work and see everything?
    2. Open Disk Utility, select the hard drive and check the First Aid tab and select Verify Disk to check the hard drive.
    3. If it is OK then, Repair Permissions in Safe Boot

  • 1.1.5 new update crashing

    Loaded the new Aperture 1.1.5 yesterday and today all it can do is crash whenever I open it. What is to be done? Be glad to return to 1.1.1 but can't figure out how to do that - when I re-installed from the original disc, the update to 1.1.5 was automatic. Arrrrgh!!!

  • June 18, 2014 Muse Update crashes Muse

    Just upgraded to Mavericks OS so that I could install the June 18 upgrade. After opening Muse, I click on "Install Now" and Muse immediately crashes—several tries, with OS restarts. Fortunately, Muse opens when I decline the new install. Puzzled!

    I should clarify. I did not do anything pother than click on updating now and it crashes, but will open if I click on update later. I did not add or change anything system-wise before that.

    Hi there. Just wanted to report that the latest update now crashes my Z3 Compact whereas it didn't before. To reproduce, create a movie as usual and edit it, press on the "Music" button and it crashes with the good ol' "unfortunately...movie creator has stopped"....
    no amount of uninstall, reinstalling, clearing cached data, rebooting could alter this 100% repeatable behaviour. please fix as this is the main reason keeping me in the sony eco system. what a great app, BTW! just awesome. cheers!

    Actually, I know what's going on.  The problem is with all the text boxes containing images, being copied into phone version.  In other words; as long the images inside text boxes are in desktop version, they are okay but as soon these text boxes are copied into the phone version, it sets your muse to crash.
    To fix my problem, this is what I did:
    - I went back to earlier version when I had only desktop version (since muse wouldn't even allow me to delete phone version and crashed every time I attempted)
    - In desktop version; moved all the images out of the text boxes.
    - activated phone version
    - copied the content from desktop version into phone version and re-sized/re-arranged them as usual
    That's it.  Just make sure all the text boxes with images inside them, should not be copied into phone version.  You will need to strip out the image from all the text boxes BEFORE you copy them into phone version.
    Good luck and let me know if anyone finds this fix working for them.

  • Premiere pro cc 2014 new update terribly slow, previous versions available?

    recently updated to the newest version of premiere pro in the middle of a project. ( silly, i know) been experiencing so many problems. specifically lag in the program and rendering previews. ive searched all over threads and google for what could be causing the problem to no avail. also have tried uninstalling, cleaner tool, reinstalling. tried changing permissions. at this point i just want to revert back to CC or at least 8.01 but i cannot find any links or a way to return to a previous version of premiere. any help?
    Im using a mac book pro with osx Yosemite
    dual core 2.2 250gb ssd boot and 750gb 7200 rpm internal
    not the beefiest system by any means but it was workable, up until recently.
    im at my wits end with this.

  • Adobe After Effects CC 2014 just updated crashes on Mac OS X just updated too.

    I did both updates just now and this is what I get on start-up:

    Changing operating systems often has the potential for issue.
    Changing software versions comes with possible workflow issues.
    I don't know of anybody in an active post-production environment who would change both things unless they had other machines to fall back on in case something went awry with their upgrades. If you're just one person and you're not working under any deadlines, it's not risky at all. I just tend to think in terms of active post houses.

    You may be experiencing a Kernel Panic as seen and described in Apple doc. HT1392. If not, disregard.
    Bad or incompatible RAM is, more often then not, the cause of most Kernel Panics.
    Here's the most used site for Resolving Kernel Panics. Please do all the steps in order, even if you don't think you need to do a certain step.

  • Just upgraded Muse to the new 2014.3 update and now it crashes

    When trying to launch Muse it generates the 'Adobe Muse CC quit unexpectedly' crash report.
    I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Muse. Also updated Adobe Air to the latest version to no avail.
    What a pain! Seems like everyone else is having problems with this.

    I don't have a solution for the 2014.3 update problem but I've just worked out (after a full day of pulling what's left of my hair out) that you can roll it back to the previous version that worked (2014.2.1.10 I think it was).
    You would have to uninstall Muse first, then re-locate it in the 'find new apps' section of the Creative Cloud app. Click on the 'All Apps' drop down menu and select previous version, when you click on install this will give you the available versions to select for download.

    Hi everyone. Please be careful in updating the Windows 8.1 Latest updates that are released in Feb 2014. I guess the update for Windows 8.1 Security Update and Visual Studio Updates crashes down the boot for the Operating System. I reset/refresh the OS again
    and which is working fine when I roll back to the System Restore Point.
    I suggest you to create a manual Checkpoint before you update the OS. So that it will be easy to recover when you failed to boot the OS.
    Perform the Security Updates after that will recover the Store App too.

  • 2014.3 Update causing crashes and data loss

    I have recently update to Adobe Muse 2014.3 edition. Since then I have been experiencing many crashes, difficulty saving and file corruption. I was not sure if it was Muse or Mac Os errors until now.  I can confirm my Mac is in good working order.
    See attached screen capture for the latest problem - cannot save a file after making edits. Muse feezes on save.
    Is it possible to reinstall the previous version of Muse? I cannot complete work reliably with the new update.

    The update fixed the problem, however I am now encountering a new one.
    Uploading to ftp locations slows dramatically at about 60% progress, by about 70% progress I get the Mac spinning wheel, sometimes the transfer will progress incredibly slow, or Muse will freeze.
    Today I could complete an ftp transfer and muse crashed. See attached screen capture.
    I am now exporting html and then uploading va ftp app however when exporting I am still seeing a dramatic slow down at some point after 60%.
    I am also seeing the following message pop up in web browsers (see attached image). I have been seeing this message a lot since the first update 2014.3
    I thought these problems may be have related to my ISP, however I am in a different country now using two different IPS's but the errors still remain.

    First, create a separate login on your computer for your friend. Do this BEFORE you do anything else. Next, make sure iTunes is up to date. Then:
    1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under Preferences>Devices in iTunes.
    2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book, iCal) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
    3. Connect her phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
    4. Store>Authorize this computer.
    5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on her phone will be in her itunes library).
    6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
    7. Right click again and select backup.
    8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
    9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore her itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding her contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
    You should be good to go.
