March 1st MSN Premium deadline problems

I already have verizon sub-account which works fine, but I have been primarily use MSN Premium Email and E-mail "names"
According to my account I have successfully created three new verizon sub accounts.  I have gone through possibly blocking scenarios for hours and hours, but the new sub accounts can't receive mail -- just the older sub account.
If all systems are go according to the set up of each sub account, whats going on?
I set them up using Googlr Chrome is the only thing different between setting up the newer subs and the older sub.
What am I doing wrong?

Are you able to log in with those accounts using webmail? When you try to send to them from a working address, do you get any bounceback/undeliverable messages back?

  • Move MSN Premium Folders on your computer from old hard drive to new

Recently my computer quit and I had to install a new one. The hard drive on my old computer did not fail so all of my files are safe and backed-up, but I’m having trouble moving my Verizon MSN Premium e-mail folders and files stored on the old hard drive over to my new computer. I’ve searched the Internet and Verizon help with no luck. The usual solution found is to utilize the Microsoft Easy Transfer tool, but it requires my old computer to be functional, which it is not. I understand MSN Premium stores e-mail in a data base format in a folder named either Db or Db30, depending on the version of MSN Premium, and I’ve located my folders and files on the old hard drive. I’ve tried to copy and paste the folders and files to the new hard drive, but still can’t see the transferred folders and files on my new computer. Verizon with MSN Member Center has been no help and the link https://membercenter.msn.com connects me with Verizon In-Home Agent where I find no answer to my problem. I’ve tried to call your HELP line, but unfortunately the parties on the other end have been no help and their English is difficult to understand. I have over a hundred e-mail folders and subfolders in “Folders on your computer” and over 1,500 saved e-mails that I’d like to retain on my local hard drive. I would appreciate if Verizon could provide me with the steps required to reestablish folders and files on my new computer. My old computer operating system was Microsoft XP SP2 and the new computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium. I’ve been able to establish new folders on the new computer, but no luck transferring folders and files onto the new computer. There are software options built into the Verizon e-mail, but it is designed to move OUTLOOK, OUTLOOK Express, etc. into Windows Live and not MSN Premium. I don’t know if the issue is in the new Microsoft security area of WIN 7, my misunderstanding of how to move the folder and files or what.

It is my understanding e-mails I've saved in folders on my local hard drive are not on the server.  Rather than leave e-mail I want to keep on the server I have many folders saved under "Folders on your computer" that are save on my local hard drive.

  • MSN Premium vs Windows 7

Upgraded xp computer to windows 7 (clean install). Lost my MSN software in the process. Downloaded "FIOS with MSN" to my desktop. When I try to run the installer, it stops and tells me my OS doesn't meet minimum requirements. Apparently doesn't recognize 7 yet. When I right click to run in xp compatibility mode, it hangs up immediately with " not signed in as administrator".  Not a life or death at this point, this isn't my main computer, but I'd like to be able to get my MSN email at this computer. Anybody know a workaround for this?

Actually the problem is that MSN premium was discontinued last year. It is no longer supported by Microsoft and since Microsoft no longer supports it, neither does Verizon. Even though Verizon's compatibility page says it is compatible, its not. And to top it all off, Microsoft likely will not make a patch for it as they have pulled all support for it.

  • Can't find the software for MSN Premium with Windows 7 64-bit

Got a new PC, using Windows 7 64-bit. Tried to download the MSN Premium software like I had on my previous PC.  It tells me my system does not meet the minimum requirements for MSN Premium.  I searched diligently but can't find where this problem has been addressed.  Thought I could download from the MSN site but it redirects my right back to the Verizon site.
    Any help appreciated.

You may want to call Verizon tech support. After I upgraded my computer to Windows 7, I called them & they gave me aURL for a web site where I downloaded & installed the MSN Premium software. I don't remember the URL for that website, but I had no problem installing and using the software. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit & it works fine.
Wont do you any good anymore. Verizon has pulled down the link. MSN premium has been discontinued by Microsoft. They discontinuted it when they started windows live. MSN premium is no longer supported by Verizon or Microsoft. Its a use at your own risk program and if it doesnt work, you are on your own. But all "official" download links have been discontinued.

  • Verizon Online current customers should be Grandfathered in with the MSN Premium services

You should not be forcing current Verizon Triple Play members to pay $59.99 a year more for MSN Premium with McAfee Anti-Virus and Spy Sweeper.  We have to protect our computers while using Verizon online or we won't be able to be online.  Current members should be Grandfathered in to the plan that includes MSN Premium.  The new proposed $59.99 charge for MSN Premium starting March 1, 2012 should only apply to new subscribers.

Are your MSN Premium addresses @verizon.net e-mails, or are they an @hotmail , @msn.com or an @live.com address? There isn't a lot you can really do unfortunately to keep a bundle that isn't offered as complementary unfortunately besides pay up. It was known a few years ago that Verizon was dropping the service and grandfathering the product to those who already have it. If you have a verizon.net e-mail even through it is through MSN Premium, it's a good bet you have nothing to worry about as long as your verizon.net e-mail remains the same. All of the e-mail will carry over to wherever you head off to.

  • Verizon Email to MSN premium email client?

When I had Verizon DSL, I had no problems.   I switched to FiOS 2 weeks ago, and up until yesterday everything was fine, but all of a sudden, MSN email client(MSN Premium) keeps telling me that my username or password are incorrect.   I've checked the POP3 settings, and as far as I can see, they are correct.    In so far as nothing is changed from when I used it with DSL.   So, what's going on?   I would like help with this because I HATE the FiOS Yahoo experience!!!!   I would like to remove it and NOT take the AOL experience either.  But I don't see where that's possible.  The only option is to change to the AOL experience. I don't want either.

    hbic3,
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the email switch to FiOS from DSL. Unfortunately, Verizon no longer has MSN as an option for a Portal Experience. The current choices are Yahoo!, AOL, or no Portal Experience. Do you currently have Yahoo! as your portal experience? If so, your only option is to call into FiOS Tech support and request assistance getting switched over to the AOL experience, which doesn't require that you use AOL. THEN, you'll have no portal experience and will be able to proceed on through Verizon normally.
So, in short, IF you have the Yahoo! experience right now (as your post seems to imply), you will have to switch to the AOL experience through FiOS Tech Support. Call 1-800-Verizon and request change over. Once you have been successfully changed over to AOL (pretty quick and easy usually), you will just not use the AOL features. They really consist of having a Verizon connection to an AOL account.
    Hope this Helps,

  • MSN Premium

I brought this up on the message board a few weeks ago and thought I had a resolution.  I recently moved and transferred my service, as well as upgraded to the 20/5 plan.  After doing this my MSN Explorer quit working and said my account was no longer valid.  This had happened to me three times before when I moved and each time it turned out my MSN Premium was reverting back to my old MSN Dial-up account and credit card even though I had FIOS.  In the previous instances I would call tech support and after looking into the problem they would get it fixed over the phone in just a few minutes.  This time when I called tech support I was told that Verizon was no longer offering the MSN Premium option and I would have to use the Windows Live option instead since I had changed my service.  I accepted this answer even though I wanted my Butterfly and getting the welcome greeting when logged on.  The other day a friend of mine upgraded to the 20/5 plan after I told him it was $10.00 cheaper per month.  His MSN Explorer is still working and I still think this has to do with the fact I started with the old MSN Dial-up service- and he didn't!  I guess I would just like to know why he can still use the Butterfly and MSN Explorer and I can't?????

Dear Verizon and the Verizon Community:
I'd like to know why Verizon is taking away a service that has been part of our DSL plans since 2004.  I don't think it's fair to change the terms of service without making some effort to help customers out with the transition, to discount the service or to offer some form of compensation for the inconvenience.  I'm quite likely to cancel my entire Verizon internet and phone plan because I feel the terms of our contract have been breached.  It's also curious that I had a message from MSN about this change, but silence from Verizon on this topic.
Thank you in advance for your reply.
    Regards,
    Elizabeth

  • Msn premium butterfly disappeared

Sorry Im a newbie and first posted this message in the wrong forum area. Would really appreciate some advice.
I noticed some other people have had this problem but I don't know if anyone has solved the problem. My msn premium software is gone and replaced with window internet explorer and windows live for email. My software just is gone,at first I just could not use it the screen box was green, it had a message error 58. I just can not use it and can not download the program anywhere. Does anyone know where I can download it. I am using a Dell inspiron and I kept on resetting my computer back to an earlier date. It is all screwed up. I can't even use my CD/DVD. I don't know what to do. I lost 41/2 years of bookmarks and all my email because I had it saved on the computer not on msn. I don't know maybe it is still on my computer, but how do I get to it? Does anyone know how I could get back 4 1/2 years of emails all in folders on my computer and all my bookmarks using the msn premium software. I don't have the software and don't know how I can get it. Please someone, any suggestions. I really don't like this new browser but could survive if I could at least get all my folders of email and bookmarks would be nice too.  I do seem to have the contacts, so at least I have that, thank God. Any suggestions would be great.

  • How can i import my favorites from msn premium to mozilla firefox

I have windows 7 ultimate for my operating system.
I subscribe to msn premium which i use as my browser . I stored at least 1000 web pages in my msn premium favorites.
I would like to import my favorites into mozillas bookmarks so i can stop using msn premium.
I have internet explorer 10 on my computer

You can try using the following site to export your favorites in ''bookmarks.html'' format.
    * http://www.linkagogo.com/go/Convert?informat=msn&outformat=netscape
Should that fail, try third-party utilities.

Once you have a bookmarks.html, import it into Firefox.

  • Using MSN Premium with Mail

    Hello all.
I had to change ISP providers due to issues. I went to Qwest and signed up for their services. As part of that I get MSN Premium. Based on what I see on their website you can set up Outlook Express to send/receive MSN e-mails. There is no mention of any other mail program.
I downloaded the HTTP 1.49 deal and it did not seem to work. I have seen previous post that seem to allude to the fact that 1.49 may or does not work with Intel Macs.
So, I am wondering---am I missing something? Does 1.49 work with Intel Macs and has anyone successfully linked mail with MSN Premium?
    Thanks
    Michael

My understanding was that when you install 1.49 it was supposed to automatically show up as an account when you open Mail Preferences.
I entered the mail server info, username, password and etc. It does not work. I dont get any error message.

  • Cannot Close Hotmail Account Linked to Verizon (with MSN Premium)

I've been given the run-around by Verizon when I asked how to de-link Verizon with MSN Premium from my Hotmail account. After several bad pieces of advice (like switching to Yahoo - which I did but it did not delink my Hotmail from Verizon) they suggested that I contact Hotmail. I posted this message in the Hotmail forums but no response. I want to close the e-mail account in question but Hotmail says I cannot because it is linked to another service. As far as I know Verizon is the only service associated with my Hotmail account.
    Help?
    Thanks
    Paul

I have sent you a private message so we can get more information from you on the matter.

  • Unable to use MSN Premium for the Share function within Elements 10

I'm unable to use MSN Premium for the Share function within Elements 10 (it seems the program does not recognize MSN Premium for a valid email program for use within the Share function of Elements 10).  Is this something than can be resolved?

No, unfortunately. You will have to either set up the adobe email or else just use the attachments button in the MSN premium instead of sending directly from PSE.

  • Renewal of MSN Premium Internet Software

You ask for the last 4 digits of telephone # and also the 09 included. It only takes 4 digits, so how can I do both?

According to http://get.msn.com/ it's about 9.95 a month, or less with a subscription. Is there anything special though about MSN Premium that you really need, though? The Verizon bill however won't be going down as it's a partnership between the two companies, each advertising their own services by using each other. What you're really paying Verizon for is the pipe to/from the Internet, any resources needed to connect you and Technical Support if you need it.
