March Madness on Demand!!!!

OK, so I want to watch the tournament games on my PB, but for some reason they just won't work. I've already installed RealPlayer and Windows Media Player, but for some reason it always just says "Connecting to media" and eventually (after like 10 min) i just get an error message and it never works. It works on my PC's, just not on my mac. Anyone else having problems? Here's the link for the site ... http://www.ncaasports.com/mmod/welcome
PLEASE HELP!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

  • NCAA March Madness On Demand

This is driving me crazy. I'm on a MacBook Pro 13", 2.53 Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and I can't get this to work in any browser. The player pops up but no video, no matter what I click on it tells me to make a selection. Please, anyone help, I have a similar issue with ESPN360. I know my computer/internet is capable of this, I never have problems with NBC's Sunday Night Football player.

So I tried both the NCAA March Madness player and the ESPN360 player on the guest account included with the Mac, and they both worked. Can anyone think of any reason why this would be? Has anyone found anything on their Mac that has caused this?

  • March Madness 2014 application - streaming

Is it possible to utlize the lightening to HDMI conversion cable to stream the March Madness 2014 application to my TV.  I have ATV and airplay is not supported for this application.

If the developer has crippled Airplay on the app, I would think that you will not be able to mirror the app with a cable. Mirroring is often crippled on ATV or TVs at the request of the content owners as it is usually a copyright issue.

  • March Madness...???

What's the story this year with March Madness on iTune...?

I use camino and enabled Flip4Mac for internet content, and the live streams are working fine now. This is using the CBS sportsline.com MMOD site.
In a previous post, I suggested using camitools to emulate another browser, but this works better: do not allow camitools to emulate another browser--just use plain old Camino, and make sure before you launch Camino that you go to system prefs and enable Flip4Mac for internet content (first tab, first box checked). I'm on a PB G4, btw.
    Good luck.

  • I have the first iPad but I am not able to download the NCAA march madness app

I have the first iPad but I am not able to download the NCAA march madness app

what happens when you try?  Does the app require a higher version of iOS? If that is the case, you are out of luck as iOS 5.1.1 is the highest for the iPad 1.

  • HT4437 No AirPlay with March Madness Live

I have an iPad purchased in April 2013 and Apple TV purchased in October 2013. March Madness Live 2014 will not display video content via AirPlay or mirroring.  All other apps will.  NCAA tech folk say it's an Apple problem.  Ideas?

Other reviewers are also reporting that AirPlay is not provided in this app.:
"Another surprising omission is the lack of an AirPlay option for IOS device users with Apple TV. "
    http://thestreamingadvisor.com/2014/03/13/how-to-watch-the-entire-ncaa-tournamen t-online-with-the-march-madness-app/
so despite what the NCAA tech person tried to claim, the issue is with the app - probably due to their agreements with the networks and cable providers - not with your iPad.
    Regards.

  • Way to stream March Madness TV from iphone 3gs to iPad 1 via wifi or cable?

I would like basketball on a bigger (iPad)screen. I do not have access to TV at work. I can't tether because of the high data usage. I only want the iPhone's video signal I am already getting to get to (mirror on) the iPad. Any thoughts. THX

You are right, if necessary I will pay
Just was hoping to find something like Air Video that could send video or mirror video from the phone to the pad. Now that you mention it, maybe I could use software that puts my iphone screen on my MacBook (i know that exists)and just zoom the image to fill the laptop screen....tada....big screen.....thx for your reply

  • March Madness: silverlight and Safari?

Hi all, I am posting this question again since I got no answer on the Safari section of these forums - hope I am not obnoxious
I have been trying to watch MMOD on my Macbook, intel core duo 2GHz, 2Gb RAM, running OSX 10.5.6 and Safari 3.2.1
I downloaded and installed the Silverlight 2 plugin,
but when I try to get to the actual video page of MMOD, I only get a blank window while the browser tells me it has downloaded 100% of the page.
I have been trying to mess a bit with preferences without success.
The same exact problem appears on my Firefox...
    Any clues? Thanks in advance!
    Andreas

If by session you mean accounts, then the main account has corruption/conflicts. Create a new admin user account, log into it, and see if it works correctly there. If so, see http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9184045#9184045 for resolving the conflict/corruption.

  • Streaming ncaa march madness  by airplay with app

Apple TV is connected and shows up on TV. and I see ads, I get the audio but not the video

Not all apps are enabled for airplay, this is up to the developer to do.

  • Friday Fix: SXSW, New Devices, Spring Break, Plenti, App Quest 3.0 Winners, March Madness

Leeloo is ready for Spring Break. Are you?

How about having the digital life app able to use the landscape mode. It would be a great improvement

  • How to Improve Ability to Watch Internet Video?

I have noticed what seems to be a decrease in the technical quality of many videos I try to watch on a variety of different internet sites--from Youtube to sports to news and current events. Quite a bit of the video is just so choppy (is this a slow frame rate?) that it just looks like a few still pictures sequenced one after the other. I've even experienced choppy or slurred audio accompanying some of the video (I would think that audio should not really be a problem on the internet these days).
I have a cable broadband connection, roughly 4.5 MB/sec down and 450 kB/sec up and speed checks always seem to be OK.
I have the most up to date version of Flash, Flip4Mac and even MS Silverlight (I believe only the first gen. works with PPC Macs).
One interesting observation I have made, is that my son's iPod touch (connected to our home Wi-Fi network) has great looking (compared to my iMac), smooth frame rate video on Youtube and on March Madness on Demand (back during the NCAA tournament). My iMac is hardwired into our wireless router, by the way.
Is the current coding, formatting, whatever, of internet video just leaving my PPC iMac in the dust or is there something anyone can suggest (I know, the first suggestion is probably to get a current Intel iMac!)? I mean, if the iPod touch can play such relatively high quality video, then it's not pure processor speed, afterall I do have a 1 GHz PPC in this iMac.
Watching all this internet video is not essential, but it has become such an integral part of the internet experience that I'd really like to do something to improve the quality of the experience.
    Thanks,
    Steve M.

"(I know, the first suggestion is probably to get a current Intel iMac!)?"
Not from me! Never a problem viewing +"internet videos."+ on my PPC. Also make sure you have the latest versions of QuickTime, VLC Media Player and Perian (AVI and FLV support).
Make sure you repair permissions & restart your computer. Most times, this clears up video issues. Last resort, running repair permissions from your HD and afterwards run +repair disk+ from your software install DVD.
Another thing to check is your browser(s) Preferences plug-in mappings. In FireFox, it's location under the Applications tab. I do not use Safari so have no idea where their file mappings are other than somewhere in Preferences.

  • Using external monitor in vista.. im going crazy

    Hey
I have a MBP 15" alu with an 8600M GT graphic card.
    I have a Samsung M86 LCD TV.
I have a DVI to HDMI cable to connect the two.
If I boot up in os x everything works great with the LCD TV plugged in. But this is not the case in Vista.
In nvidia control panel it can detect the TV, but i can only set the resolution to 1024x786, but my TV goes to 1920x1040 (or something like that). This means the only resolution i can get my TV connected is setting the resolution to 640x480, and ONLY extend the desktop, not dualview or anything.
Ive been reading alot of posts on different forums (including this one) to try and resolve the problem but with no luck.
I have tried these drivers, but when i try to install it says i have no supported hardware:

    Please help!

Thanks for your help with this. On Friday and Sunday, I wanted to watch the North Carolina mens college basketball games during the "NCAA Tournament" using "March Madness on Demand" (http://www.ncaasports.com/mmod) because they weren't being shown in my area because of other regional match-ups and because the score was so lopsided. I have "Windows Vista" installed in "Boot Camp" and figured that I would watch the stream in it because the game is streamed using WMV files which don't stream very well in "Mac;" even with Flip4Mac."
My goal was to hook up my "MacBook Pro" (15" Early 2008 with nVidia Geforc 8600M GT and 256MB of RAM) to my Samsung LN-T4661F using the "DVI --> VGA adapter" and hooking up the TV as a second monitor; I do it all the time in "Mac" without any problems. I tried using the "nVidia Control Panel," "Windows Mobility Center," and "Windows Display Settings" (inside "Personalize" after right-clicking on the "Desktop.")
I then tried going directing to "nVidia" to see if I could download drivers. All they told me was:
"The GeForce M series and GeForce Go series notebook GPUs use drivers that have been customized by the notebook manufacturers to support hot key functions, power management functions, lid close and suspend/resume behavior. NVIDIA has worked with some notebook manufacturers to provide notebook-specific driver updates, however, most notebook driver updates must come from the notebook manufacturer. Additionally, the desktop GeForce graphics drivers will not install on Geforce M series and Quadro M series notebook GPU's."
I then went to "OmegaDrivers.net" but those drivers don't currently support nVidia cards on laptops. Using the drivers that you found at LaptopVideo2Go.com saved me.
Sorry for the long post. I like to provide a full story for others than might be experiencing the same problem.
    Thanks so much!

  • Help Downloading Firefox

I tried to Download firefox in order to watch the March Madness on Demand on sportsline.com.
When I download it the following happens:
-It shows a white (disk?) with the firefox logo on it
-a picture similar to the "macintosh HD" picture with the words "Firefox 2.0.0.2.dmg" under it
-When I click on either I am led to a picture of Firefox > Firefox +> Applications
-I assumed this meant move to applications so I did
-When I moved both to App. Folder I still can't open it. I don't know what to do...HELP!
    MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

OS X applications are installed with an Installer or are distributed as a bundle via a Disk Image which is more common.
Firefox is distributed as a bundle.
When double-clicking on the downloaded disk image file, the disk image is mounted on the hard drive which looks the same as when an external hard drive is connected/mounted.
To install the application on the hard drive requires that you drag the application from the mounted disk image to your Applications folder which copies the application to the hard drive.
When finished, you unmount the disk image by dragging it to the Trash (the same as can be used to eject a CD or DVD or when unmounting/ejecting an external hard drive or with the mounted disk image selected, at the Finder menu bar go to File and select Eject (with the name of the mounted disk image included).
Then delete the downloaded disk image file or you can save this elsewhere in case you want or need to re-install the application.

  • Itunes doesn't list all of my recent podcasts. My show is Black Tribbles and it only shows episodes through March 2013, however we do at least two shows a week and they aren't listed. The feed works because the show update to my computer. Help please.

Itunes doesn't list all of my recent podcasts. My show is Black Tribbles and it only shows episodes through March 2013, however we do at least two shows a week and they aren't listed. The feed works because the show update to my computer. Help please.

    Your feed is at http://blacktribbles.podomatic.com/rss2.xml
When subscribed to in iTunes the recent episodes show, but the Store hasn't updated for some time.
There appears to be an issue with the feed. In the episode 'WRESTLING MARCH MADNESS: Final Bracket & Championship' of 31st March you will find in the 'description' tag the following line:
    4. KURT ANGLE
At the end of this line is an invisible character which seems to be wrecking the feed - although it works OK when suscribing in iTunes it won't load in a browser (and I also found the feed very slow to load, which won't help matters with the Store)
This sort of thing usually happens when you paste text in from a word processing application and manage to include one of the invisible control characters. I don't know how easy it will be do do it in Podomatic but you should delete that entire line and retype it to remove this charter.
You should keep an eye on the time it takes the feed to be accessed - if there is a long enough delay (and it was quite some seconds when I tried) the Store may well timeout and fail to read it. At the moment it's showing a cached version from the last time it was able to read it.
