I can get padding to work, but not margin.... I expect it is something simple I am missing!

As for .quote2 you can use a negative value for margin.

Hello,
we do have a site where we need to deploy AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 and AIR-LAP1242G-E-K9 APs. We have two AIR-CT5508-K9 controllers with SW version 6.0.188.0.
AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9s work okay, as expected, we do not have any problems with them.
However AIR-LAP1242G-E-K9s do not, there is a problem with establishing CAPWAP tunnel with the controller.The AP is seen on the controller for a while, with 0 time up-time, cannot change any settings on the AP via controller, and after a while it disapears from the controller, apears again and this repeats.
The APs and controllers are connected to the LAN campus.
Controllers via two 1G links configured as Etherchannel to WS-C6506-E VSS switch with s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXI1.bin on it.
APs to WS-C3750G-48PS with c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE2.bin on it. 3750 is connected to the C6505 via two 1G links configured as Etherchannel.
Below I copied the log I captured on 1242 and the controller. Highlighted ones are the ones which I think might bring a clue.
I performed some troubleshooting steps.
- As we have some other controllers available over WAN, I tested the 1242 AP with 2100, 4400 and also with the same model AIR-CT5508-K9 with SW version 6.0.188.0 over WAN and this worked always okay.
- I wanted to be sure that I eliminate any kind of out of sequence packet issue, so I brought down all redundancy L2 links so that the L2 path from the AP to the controller was only through one leg links.
- I also brought the second controller down to eliminate potential issue with having two of them up.
- The AP gets its IP from DHCP configured on the C6506 switch, I am always able to ssh to AP, so the IP connectivity does not seem to be an issue.
- I have more 1242s, all behave in the same way. I also connected them to some other 3750 switches we have in the campus, always the same.
- As this seems to be maybe a kind of ssl issue, I tried to play with controller settings, like enabling Accept... options under Security/AP Policy,but this did not help.
- I also tried to reboot the controller, no improvement.
- The APs came from the factory, so in the beginning everything was factory default in them. They were always able to download the image from the controller in the very initial phase. I still do have some of them untouched, so I can perform any troubleshooting steps with the fresh one.
I can reproduce this, can also send debugging logs if needed.
Any idea on what could be wrong is highly appreciated.

Yes, I seem not to to be 100% perfect as for the list of troubleshooting steps I took.
I had already tried the two commands you mentioned. I tried again, this time with some other 1242, but these do not help.
Yes, I was already thinking that this could be in theory a licensing issue. The controller is bougth with 25 licenses.
In the beginnign I had one 1142 on it and tried to enable 1242s which did not work. Now I have five 1142s on it, as this worked okay, I guess it could not be a licensing issue.
I think that I can see in the log files that the machines communicate to each other, L2 or L3 paths seem to be working okay. I forgot to mention that I am using option 43 on the DHCP server, so the AP clearly finds its way to the controller. What's more both APs and the controllers are in the same VLAN, so they are in the same broadcast domain.
Below is sho ver from the AP. The AP seems to have Certificate type - manufacture installed, so I guess there should not be a problem with the certificate, especially knowing that the AP works with other controllers over WAN.
My guess these messages seen on AP especially "Invalid event 38 & state 3 combination" might tell us what's wrong.

Since iOS 4.2.1 Update - Document viewer Apps do not work right!
Before I updated to iOS 4.2.1 Air Sharing (Document Viewer) was working (so were all my Document Viewers), but currently, they do not work correctly. I have checked about three others...all have the following problems:
Since I updated (to iOS 4.2.1), all the documents open up to FULL SCREEN mode (which it had never done before, since the very beginning of the AppStore). Full Screen mode means that it looks like a Word Document on the computer, with the margins showing. This is rediculous for the screen of an iPhone or iPod Touch. There is no need to see the margins. Also, the font size is so small that it makes it almost impossible for most people without a magnifying glass. The document used to open up to a "zoomed in" view of the text. This allows the person using the application to actually read the text. This also allowed scrolling up and down easily. Now, with the new Full Screen view, to get the text large enough to see, you have to double tap (or spread your fingers on the screen to scale it big enough) on the text to read it. Then, when you scroll up and down, it sometimes scrolls side to side or diagonally (into the white margins), making reading cumbersome.
The other problem with the new view is that the font sizes are all messed up. The normal font (whether 9 pt. to 16 pt.) looks the same. The italic font looks bigger than the normal font, though it is the same point size. It skews the page and alters what the original documents looks like.
I have contacted the developer of Air Sharing to complain, but he said the following:

Thank you for the test file. I do see what you're referring to. We use Apple's built-in Office viewer for Air Sharing. This means to display files like .docx ones, we use Apple's viewer. It's possible they changed their viewer in the most recent iOS update to cause this change. Because it's not our viewer we have no control over how it displays such files. Other apps using Apple's viewer will encounter the same issue. I wish there was more we could do on our end to help resolve this problem.

Please tell someone to fix this situation. I can provide you with information (and screen shots of before and after) to back up all my complaints. Thank you for listening.Ah, so that could be a good search term.
Things get a bit more weird though. I was looking through the commands in the drop down menu and saw under "Archive" this: "Put/Send the Apps you bought to this computer" (rough translateion in English) So I tried that out.
I could only do that by going to "Store" and (**** how to say that in English) "Allow" this computer to do that. This is weird as this is the same computer that I have always used for anything to do with the iPhone! I have now 2 computers that are allowed to sync, and it is one machine. Beats me!
At a certain point the transfer proces stopped again and again I was requested to "empower" this computer again, as out of the 65 apps now 21 were not allowed to be transfered! That did not work. It now keeps telling me that I have 2 computers allowed for transferring apps and these last 21 can not be put in the library.
I am a bit at my wits end!
But really thanks for trying to help out! It seems that 4.2.1 has some real problems when reading through the discussions!

WSUS not working completely, no MMC connect, all web services are not working
Hello all,
I have a problem not sure what causing it or what is the source of it as I am not into WSUS that much...
THe status is as follows:
I have 1 server 2008 sp2 RTM x64, I had WSUS 3.0 SP2 on it since a while, it was working fine until a week ago, when I started receiving the below messages in the event viewer
I have spent too much time trying to trace or troubleshoot this issue, but all I got was to check the registry and check permissions on the temp folder and other folders, I have done complete removal with the database for the old WSUS and reinstalled it
again but I got the same problem
Nothing strange and no problems happened on the server perior to this issue, it just happened...
Any help will be appreciated

Oh, well, I have red and followed the documentation exactly step-by-step on the technet library, and I can guarantee you nothing went wrong because this is not my first installation for it
When I told you about the old damaged installation and the new installation which is also failed and showed me the same symptoms as the old one, I was sure that nothing wrong with the WSUS itself, but rather it is something wrong with the environment
Answering to your above questions, the answer for all is that: that server is only used for WSUS, nothing more
Anyway, I have managed to restore the service thanks to your previous reply where you point to the CONFIG folder inside the NET framework folder, I checked the files in there, some were changed to the date I think has stopped the service, so I repaired the
NET framework 2, and restarted
It is working fine now and syncing with the update server

SetUncaughtExceptionHandler() not working
Hi there,
using java 1.5... and using setDefaultUncaughtExcepion!handler() and setUncaughtExceptionHandler() to trap all uncaught exception in my (big) program. I'm observing that my 2 handlers are correctly called when a uncaught exception happens... in most cases !!!!
I have one specific example where the handler is not called when the exception occurs. I checked carefully the properties on the thread and threadgroup to ensure all is correclty set... and everything sounds ok:

Additional point#1: the handler works well in all the other cases (main thread, EDT events etc...) just this case is not working
Additional point#2: I used setDefaultUncaughtExceptionHandler() (used for all classes) but it sounds I needed to use a setUncaughtExceptionHandler() on the EDT to have it working for awt.

setDefaultUncaughtExcepion!handler() and
setUncaughtExceptionHandler() to trap
all uncaught exception in my (big) program. I'm
observing that my 2 handlers are correctly called
when a uncaught exception happens... in most cases
I have one specific example where the handler is not
called when the exception occurs. I checked carefully
the properties on the thread and threadgroup to
ensure all is correclty set... and everything sounds
ok:

Additional point#1: the handler works well in
all the other cases (main thread, EDT events etc...)
just this case is not working
Additional point#2: I used
setDefaultUncaughtExceptionHandler()(used for all classes) but it sounds I needed to use
a setUncaughtExceptionHandler() on the
EDT to have it working for awt.
any ideas ? or someone got the same problem ?

Spry menu bar not working in IE
Hi there,
This is the first time I'm using Spry. Everything was fine until I tested the site in IE. My top menu moves position upon rollover and the submenu doesn't show at all. I looked at the forums and thought I would add the IE hack into the code, but upon doing that I saw that it was already there. I'm not sure where to go from here. Please help, many thanks in advance!
Update Note: I just noticed it says it's version 1.4. I did update to 1.6. When I check for Spry updates it does say I am using 1.6, but appears to be 1.4 in the css code. Any reason why?

However.... this created a few other obstacles. The background color, text color, text-transform, and all hover attributes are not working in IE. Confused I am.

SPRY menu bar not working in IE 9
Hey! I recently just finished building my very first website using Dreamweaver CS5.5! It looks really great and works perfectly in firefox and safari however the SPRY menu bar does not work in IE 8 or 9. Does anyone know what i can do to fix this without messing up how the website looks in firefox and safari?

<p>Integrated Sensors is the first company in the world to apply the high gain, high-performance advantages of low cost PDP-TV (plasma display panel) technology to radiation detection. Assistance pls: ~50% links not working on page, iWeb 3.0.4
I built a new page on a longstanding iWeb site last night, uploaded it (to my own domain hosted at Earthlink) and discovered that about 50% of the links on the page are not working, though all the links are formatted identically.

Here's how this page is built:
- Each visible box is a shape
- Within each shape is a text box with outline set to None
- Each link was individually cut-pasted into Inspector (I have double-checked that none of them pasted 2x.)
- I have checked that, in Inspector > Hyperlink, the settings for each link are:
- Enable as a Hyperlink
- Link to an External Page
- Open link in new window
Also, I have checked (Command-Shift-L/Command-A) that the boxes are in the Body of the page, not in the Header, Footer etc.
When I am in iWeb, all of the links work fine.
When I upload the page and check it at Earthlink, however, the links in the larger boxes (Scientific American, Self, Annals) don't work.
I cannot see any reason why this would be going on. Any thoughts would be welcome.Use the Inspector/Text/Text pane to adjust the inset margin to assure a uniform margin around the text in the text box. This screenshot is without any margin:

Layout adjustment sometimes not working
I'm in a bit of a panic here. We've set up a file that we're due to deliver to a client today, the file has multiple master pages with various margins.
Normally in this type of situation we turn on the layout adjustment so that the text frame moves with the margins when the new master is applied. Normally this works just fine, we use it all the time, but for some reason its randomly NOT working! i.e. the text frame stays the size it was.
There doesn't seem to be any ryme or reason to it, sometimes its a left page, sometimes a right page.
Any ideas?

KenYeah, I tried. Nothing seems to work all the time as is usually does.
I'll have to look again and see if I can find some correlation with the
pages that do not adjust.

DataTrigger is not working in xaml wpf

I want to change the Data templates dynamically based on some selection. Here I have used DataTrigger to which I have binded a property which is not working. I don't know why its not working.

Selecting datatemplate is a one off process.
When you're looking at the view, it's done.
I think if you used a contenttemplateselector you could force the issue:
MyControl.ContentTemplateSelector =
new MyDataTemplateSelector();
I very rarely use those myself though.
Personally, I would be inclined to just switch out the control for a new one with the appropriate template.
It's a view responsibility so doing that in code behind isn't even breaking mvvm.
Your code coverage might dip a little, but this doesn't look like a real app anyhow.
I agree with Andy, using DataTemplateSelector should be the right direction, please refer to this case to know how it works:

Image Map not working in Dreamweaver CC
I'm trying to create an image map over a jpeg but when I try to draw a rectangle over the image, a grey stroke gets placed over the image then moves with the cursor.
Here is the only code on the page. Any ideas as to why this isn't working?

1. From Design View, you are clicking your image to select it
2. You are then selecting the Rectangle tool from the bottom left of the Properties window
3. You are then clicking and dragging on the image in Design View to create your map area
4. DW puts a grey line around the image and moves it instead of adding the image map and area tags?
Run your page for code errors at http://validator.w3.org. I can't duplicate what you describe and DW will do strange things when code errors are present, it could be an error DW doesn't know how to fix that's causing the normal image map functionality to fail.
If you have clean code and are doing what I list above and it's still not working, it may be time to clear the program cache:Deleting a corrupted cache file
