Mark for Review Forum Feature hides posts after 5th time

Hi SDN and BPX Forum Aficionados,
The abuse button has another little known feature that has the potential to really improve the quality of forum content.
You mark a post for review by hitting the ! icon, select a category and please add a couple of words why and it gets marked for moderation.
If there are 4 other people that think a post doesn't belong to this forum, the thread automatically goes into hiding until a moderator has time to look at it and can take action accordingly.
It puts the community back into the driver seat. If enough people think a post doesn't belong it is gone. You have to be logged in to do this. See the [documentation|http://www.jivesoftware.com/jive/entry!default.jspa?categoryID=33&externalID=1321&fromSearchPage=true]
The threshold is set to 5 at the moment throughout all forums. Probably it will have to be fine tuned over time depending on how active a forum is.
This is going to be really interesting in 2008.

Happy New Year to everyone.
At the moment the poster doesn't get a message automatically. Once a moderator has looked at it and rejected the post, there is a possibility of an email being sent. We are looking into that.
It is true, we have to explain a bit more about the functionality of the Report Abuse feature.

Help! How To Use Oracle as SQL for a Forum with Related Post

I added an SMF forum on my [Tech Blog|http://oscarmini.com] using the sub directory forum. Now I want to encode a fresh forum using Oracle for the database instead of the usual MySQL. I don't really know if this is possible. If it is, then let me know if their is a script for this, and so I can ask other related questions too.
But firstly, is it possible?

I think Oracle have taken down all the sample applications.
As I recall it was quite controversial at the time. Supposedly they're upgrading them to the latest version of Apex - some of them were quite old - but obviously there's a gaping void in the meantime.

Vendor master marked for deletion

Hi Gurus,
I have the following issues related to vendor master deletion.
1. I can able to create PR, release the PR for the vendor after marked for deletion and also blocked in XK05.
2. It allows to maintain RFQ for the vendor marked for deletion and also blocked in XK05.
3. It allows to release PO for the vendor marked for deletion and it blocks only after blocking in XK05
4. It allows to post GR and IR for the vendor marked for deletion and also in blocked in XK05.
Appreciated your help on this.

the deletion indicator is a preparation for archiving.
However, archiving will check whether the vendor is still in use and must be kept.
A deletion indicator will with standard customizing not restrict the usage. The user get a warning message and this should him make start thinking.

Do you have a purchasing organisation. in the requisition? XK05 restricts the order creation, I do not know about any restriction in requistion creation or release.

This should not be possible if the purchasing block is set according to OSS note 67341

Thats correct, If the vendor was not blocked at PO creation, then system has to allow the follow on activities, explained in OSS note 129836
4. It allows to post GR and IR for the vendor marked for deletion and also in blocked in XK05.

Can't get rid of the "your document is being tracked for reviews" message

I used Adobe Professional for the first time to conduct reviews on PDFs. I used the "Send for review by email" option. Now I am done with the review, have incorporated the comments, have compiled FrameMaker files, and produced a new PDF. But when I open the final PDF, I still get the message that you are opening a document that is being tracked for review. How do I make sure the message goes away?

Basically, while I was trying to figure out how I was going to send my forms to people, I tested the "Send for review by email" function, just as the OP did.
Pretty sure that's what triggered my form to be stuck in this "Marked for Review" mode.
Appreciate any help y'all can give me.

OAS4081 on RH6.2 hangs after some time

I installed OAS4081 on Redhat6.2. It seems to work fine... for a couple of hours. After some time (ranging from several hours to one day, depending on the activity I think) the listener does not respond anymore. Even a 'telnet <host> 80 - GET /' does not return anything. There are no processes taking up cpu-time. Memory usage (using top) seems ok (150Mb total). The only way to solve, it to 'owsctl stop -s website40', but still some processes remain and need to be killed -9. Then restarting the website makes it ok again.
Also using 'vmstat 1' I have the impression that free memory is decreasing slowly (max 1Mb/5min). But when the website hangs, there is still enoug free memory (+200Mb).
If anyone has the same experience, or any tips, please let me know. We would like to use this website in a production environment.
I use only PL/SQL on an 8.1.5 database on a remote machine.

We haven’t managed to repro this problem yet – we’ve run it on a couple of different machines using 2.5 and tested it repeatedly and can’t get it to fail. So, we have some more questions:
* What mode are you running in? GPU,CPU or Flash?
* If GPU, do you only see this hang in GPU mode, or can you reproduce it in CPU or Flash mode?
* If GPU, what is the date and version number of the NVIDIA GPU driver you is using? (and is it up to date – new drivers can be downloaded here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us)
* When you hit "Build and Run" are you changing anything? (e.g. editing the filter code, changing modes, changing images etc.)
* Can you make the images you’re using available to us?

Io exception: Connection reset - after some time interval

Hi,
We are facing a problem in connection while implementing connection pooling using OracleDataSource .
Application is running with out any issue if it is called continuously.
If we call the application after some time interval, connection is being reset. We are able to get the connection instance but connection reset exception is thrown while calling callableStatement.execute().
If application called after application restart it is working fine.This issue is happening only for the first few calls made after some time interval.(after 1 hr)
After that call is proceeding without any issue.

Application is accessing 4 oracle databases and the versions are viz., 9.2.0.8,10.2.0.3,10.2.0.4 and 9.2.0.1.
Driver : ojdbc14.jar
App Server : tomcat

Forum (+ features?) for TextEdit?

Howdy all -
a) I'm looking for the appropriate forum for asking questions about TextEdit. I used the community serach box for identifying the appropriate community, but it gave no results in response to "TextEdit" or "Text Edit".
b) Is it possible to change defaults in TextEdit such as:
     i) size of new document window i.e. Zoom command;
     ii) %-zoom level;
     iii) # of recent documents in "File > Open Recent";
     iv) contents of header and footer?
I live and die by TextEdit because it meets most simple word processing needs (e.g. for meeting notes, course notes, lists, ideas, citations, study guides etc); opens damnfast; generally avoids all issues of compatibility when it comes to collaborations; offers better non-English language support than either Pages or Word (specifically right-left language and bi-lingual text support, e.g. Arabic & English on the same line) etc. So I am not really interested in changing programs over these issues unless the suggested programs do all of the above equally well (or better) and are cheap / free (!! - don't want to waste anyone's time here :-D).
I'm aware that one can create an application-specific shortcut for the % zoom-in found at the bottom-right corner [only visible in wrap-to-page mode] (> System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > "+" > TextEdit > zoompercentage% > Desired Short).
Similarly for the Zoom feature found under the Windows > Zoom (or the green circle in the upper right-hand size) it is possible to create an application-specific short cut; however, unlike its behaviour in other applications, it does not optimize the page for the % zoom-in selected. Rather, it optimizes the page size assuming one is working at 100%, only.
[[[ Side note for those who wish the green circle maximized the page size (i.e. full screen) instead of optimizing it (i.e. as large as the content requires, up to full screen): in many applications, if you push option-click green circle, it'll maximize the window. This doesn't work in all applications though, e.g. TextEdit! (I've tried it in Chrome, Mail, iTunes, Safari etc. and it works in all of them) ]]]
As for the other defaults mentioned, I haven't a clue. Any & all suggestions welcome and appreciated!
c) Despite its relatively good bilingual support, I have a recurring issue with TextEdit when toggling between English and Arabic keyboards. Every once in a while, when I toggle back to English, it changes the font to Lucida Grande, despite the fact that I've set the default to Baskerville. This seems to happen if I modify any part of the text created with one keyboard while in the other keyboard setting (e.g. if I have too many spaces after the last Arabic word and use backspace on the English keyboard and then start typing, the font changes). Generally if I just switch between the two without ever making mistakes (!!) it doesn't happen (or at least not often).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated (including where pre-existing TextEdit discussion might be found)!

So I think I have finally discovered possible solutions to all of these issues myself and just thought I would share it in case anyone else was interested. The solutions are posted under each cited question below:

Right - this is it.
b) Is it possible to change defaults in TextEdit such as:

The default size of a window in TextEdit can be set under the TextEdit preferences for a new document (TextEdit > Preferences ... > New Document > Window Size). The potentially confusing / misleading units of "characters" for width and "lines" for height do not specify anything to do with the document settings, only the actual program window. Also note that you cannot (so far as I can tell) have default "Wrap to Page" selected at the same time.
     ii) %-zoom level;
I did not find an alternative solution to the program-specific shortcut outlined in the question.
     iii) # of recent documents in "File > Open Recent";
I found this one by complete accident - stumbling about System Preferences. Go to System Preferences > Appearance > Number of recent items, there there are drop-down menus for the number of recent Applications, Documents and Servers, up to 50. It is applied across the board. Am a little surprised no one on the forum suggested this!
As for the header / footer info, I was not able to find any means of controlling that info - only how to turn it on/off in printing.
Ultimately my solution for being able to open new TextEdit documents that are the appropriate size (i.e. easily readable & appropriate point size) was to deselect "wrap to page" default, set the appropriate window size for a document in 150% zoom as the default and set similar / related shortcuts for wrap-to-page & 150% zoom. Along with the increased recent docs menu - it means managing documents in TE is that much faster.
If anyone has other ideas / solutions to these or any of the other issues mentioned in the first post, I'd still be very interested.

PR Marked for deletion after Business Complete

My PR created from work order are marked for deletion after business complete and/or why is it being marked for deletion?

Technical confirmation is followed only after all confirmations and GR/GI and reservations posted which means that the work has been completed on ground.,The remaining Capacities, reservations, partial confirmations, Open PR's(Not processed into subsequent material documents like RFQ/Quotations, PO) Open PO's get cancelled as soon as you TECO the Work order. so this clearly states that all your PR's ad PO's are delted at TECOstage much before settlement and Business Completion is done.
If you want ur PR's not to get cancelled then you can lock the PR's and then TECO the work order. However this lock will prevent PO creation.The best way to do this is to give a user status and hold the PR from getting deletd. User status can be provided at PR or Work order level.

You have used Xcode 6.1 and it is a valid version, so you should not have any problem. Anyway, if there is any problem, Apple will contact with you to fix it before your app is published.

Posting block and Marked for Deletion

Though i can see that one by one through Vendor master but i need to give this in report format.

You can check old value and new value by using table CDPOS.
If you want to know the time and person responsible by using table CDHDR
In table, put table name LFA1/LFB1 and required field like for field SPERR (LFB1) is for posting block for selected company code and field SPERR (LFA1) is for posting block for all company codes.
If you want to know it for specific vendor, then given vendor number in Object value or leave it blank for all items.

As long as you bought the current version of Aperture from the App Store you can download it as many time as you like without any additional cost.
You need to make sure you use the same Apple ID when you log into the App Store as you used when you first purchased Aperture.

Entourage emails hare marked for deletion after read on iPhone

Hi
I have a predicament that I cannot find a solution to.
My friend uses Entourage for her work email on her Mac.
The email account is an IMAP account.
When ever emails are downloaded to the iPhone and read, the email on Entourage has a strikethrough and is marked for deletion. The email then gets deleted from Entourage, the iPhone and the server once email is check on teh iPhone.
The only way to stop this is to disable the account on the iPhone.
Teh settings on Entourage are NOT set in anyway to delete or mark emails for deleteion.
Any ideas?

There is no setting available with the iPhone's mail client to mark a message for deletion that has been read with an IMAP account, nor am I aware of the same for an IMAP account with any email client.
If the read messages remain in the account's Inbox mailbox and are not marked for deletion - which moves the messages to the account's Trash mailbox, something else is wrong.
I suggest deleting and recreating the account as an IMAP account on the iPhone.
