"Mark in Sync" and then what?

I captured a Hi-8 tape with my D-8 camcorder (think 'DV Converter' setup) and the 1:40 master clip has the audio out of sync by about four seconds. It might be that the capture began on blank tape and it took a moment for the video and audio to settle down. I'd like to avoid recapturing the whole tape.
In the Timeline I locked the video track, dragged the audio into sync, and then picked "Mark in Sync", which got rid of the red complaint boxes. I want the slipped clip to be the new "Master" for the whole capture session. How to I preserve the slip/correction and return the clip to the browser? If I drag it back up there it seems to lose the new sync and the red 'slip' boxes return again. My goal is to 'start over' with the slipped clip and mark the scene changes on it.

The 'make subclip' command exists in FCE, but the new subclip is out of sync again.
Exporting the clip to QT movie, even without 'make movie self-contained' checked, works. I may 'print to video' anyway to create a DV backup of the Hi-8 original. Thanks for your suggestions.

What do you mean nothing happends? because after step 5/5 the sync is complete and it should go back to the normal top screen of itunes. Is this what is happning? of is it freezing on step 5?

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

IPOD recognized during SYNC and then disappears from My Computer

My IPOD is recognized during the SYNC phase and as soon as the SYNC phase is done the IPOD disappears in My Computer. I have tried restoring my IPOD, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, deactivated the save power on the USB hubs and other suggestions. There is no problem with it showing up in itunes or in the Device Manager. When I plug in my flashdrive it shows up fine in My Computer. I can unplug the IPOD from the cable and plug it back in and it will again show up in My Computer until it finishes SYNCing and then again disappears. HELP! I don't know what else to try!

Lost a 2 hard drives, have 7 k photos on a touch that I need to load on IMAC with a new hard drive, how do I do it. Just never went from a Touch to iMac. I have the cable hooked up and then what, I don't want to mess up,my last chance to save 7k pics!

(There were more photos than the 7k, but they were saved on other drives, thank goodness). 7K pohotos on the Touch are no where else, must be saved! Just never went from a Touch to iMac. I have the cable hooked up and then what, I don't want to mess up,my last chance to save 7k pics! New Aperture and IPhoto on IMAC with no other photos loaded on the new hard drive yet.

I'd ask in the iTouch forum where there are more iTouch users there than here and they should know how to off load the photos. It might take a 3rd party app.

I would like to migrate from Aperture. What happens to my Masters which are on a RAID array and then what do I do with my Vault which is on a separate Drive please ?

I am sorry, but I do noisy understand what happens to my RAW original Master files, which I keep offline on a RAID array and then what I do with my Vault which as all my edited photos ? Sorry for such a simple question, but would someone please help my lift the fog ?

Apologies, as I am attempting to get to the bottom of this migration for my wife ( who is away on assignment ) and I am not 100% certain on the technical aspects of Aperture, so excuse my ignorance.
She has about 6TB worth of RAW Master images ( several 100 thousand ) which, as explained, are on an external RAID drive. She uses a separate Drive as a Vault . Can I assume that this Vault contains all of her edits, file structures , Metadata, etc ?
So, step by step........She can Import into Lightroom her Referenced Masters from her RAID and still keep them there ? Is that correct ?
The Managed Files that are backed up by her Vault , are in the pictures folder of her MacPro, but not in a structure that looks like her Aperture library ? This means Lightroom will just organize all the Managed files, simply by the date in the Metadata ? Am I correct ( Sorry for being so tech illiterate ).
How do I ensure she imports into Lighgtroom in exactly the same format as she runs her workflow in Aperture ? ( Projects, that are organized by year and shoot location and Albums within those projects with sub-locations, or species , etc ). What exactly do I need to do in Aperture please to organize Managed Files to create a mirror structure of Aperture on my internal Hard Drive ?
There are a couple of points I am unsure about in regard to Lightroom. Does it work in the same way as Aperture ? Meaning, can she still keep Master Files on an external RAID and Lightroom will reference them ? If the answer is yes, how do you back up your Managed ( edited ) work in Lightroom ? ( Can you still use an external Drive as a Vault ? ) . Will the vault she uses now be able to continue to back up Managed Files post migration ?

In itune did you play any of the songs downloaded. If so plug your ipod back in an manualy check off to sync all music. If that doesn't work you might have to restore the ipod.

Dates entred in my Calendar on the iPhone do not sync and then appear on iCloud on my Mac. Dates entered on the Mac sync perfectly OK on the iPhone Calendar. What is happening here?

ITunes freezes after a sync and then clicking to disconnect

My iTunes is behaving very strangely lately. After I've done a sync (with my iPod Nano 6th gen), which works fine, and then click the disconnect button iTunes locks-up. It displays the spinning beach ball but never stops and I can't quit iTunes without a forced quit. On top of that, if I try to restart my Mac, my computer will not restart/shut-down etc. without a hard stop (pressing the on-button until it turns off).
In addition, just this week I been getting a message that say "The selected movie won't play on your display", "This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)". This may be an unrelated issue but if you have any thoughts let me know.
Help! Any ideas as to what this may be? I've already tried to reinstall iTunes again (latest version). Thanks in advance for any help.

IPOD freezes while SYNCING - and then gets file error

i have a standard 40gb click wheel ipod, quite old, it works, but limited. The ipod just freezes while syncing now, it has been restored numerous times, but 2 not much avail, i can get one or two albums on there, then everytime i try and sync the ipod just freezes, and has to be reset. Every TIme i plug the ipod into my vista laptop it says, the says. SCAN AND FIX, ( because i couldnt get anything else to work i tried this ) and this is what vista told me

i was like woah, so i proceded to restore the ipod then it seemed to work, for a day. then went back to the freezing while syncing, then next time i plugged in the ipod, windows said the disk needs to be formated before it could be used, so i tried that ( cos itunes was doing sweet **** ALL ) and windows couldnt format it, and neither cos HP USB FORMAT Tool. so i reset the ipod, plug it back into vista, and behold, SCAN AND FIX COMES UP, so i click it, it fixes it, but only loads 1 album before it freezes while syncing again, i have the screenshots,it took 11 screenshots, to get the FULL MESSAGE, that vista chkdsk gave me, there was thousands of these "BAD LINKS IN LOST CHAIN at CLUSTER XXXXX Corrected" messages
im currently listening to Three Days Grace on the ipod, works GREAT, except if i try and put more then this ONE album on it, it freezes while syncing, and gives me the unknown file error. SO any ideas if this ipod can be fixed, cos itunes cant do anything, im assuming there is physical unrepairable damage to the HDD of the ipod and will need replacing if this ipod wants to be in full working order again.
The ipod is NOT under warranty either, so does any1 know where in Australia, it be fitted with a new HDD? Thanks

TV shows, syncing and then watching on iPhone

I have several tv shows on my iTunes, and I have checked them to sync. However, I don't know where to find them and watch them on my iPhone. ]

I have clicked on the orange iPod button, but there is not an option for TV shows.

If you want to delete albums directly on your phone then what iOS version is it on ? With iOS 7 you can delete individual tracks by swiping/dragging from right-to-left across them on the song selection screen, but you can't select and delete an album. If it's not on iOS 7 then you should be able to delete an album directly in the Music app. Though depending upon your sync selection it may get synced back when you next sync, so changing your sync selection and syncing may be better.
For the syncing of playlists, are you also deleting the music from the playlists on your computer's iTunes library, or are they still on there and are included in your sync selection so that your next sync puts them back on your phone ? If you also delete the song from the playlist on your computer's iTunes then it shouldn't be synced back - or just delete it from the playlist on your computer and then sync.

The problem is that EACH TIME I open Firefox 6.0 and now 6.1 I just installed it runs a compatibility ad-on check AND then opens the "what's new?" page AS WELL AS my home page in a separate tab. I then have to close the "what's new" tab to get to home page. I never had this problem with all other previous Firefox versions. Any thoughts or suggestions. Anyone else have the problem?
If I revert back to a version 5 will it keep my bookmarks? These versions 6,o and 6.1 are just a hassle to me. I run Windows XP home.

Are you seeing any error messages?
Check this thread out -> itunes has stopped working...here are the problem reports:
Try unchecking the Include videos option in iTunes, under Photos. You'll click the iPhone on the left side of iTunes, then click Photos across the top of iTunes to see the option.
If you still want to sync the videos, you can add them to iTunes as movies and then sync them. You may have to right click and convert the videos in iTunes before syncing to the iPad (depending on how the videos were created).
