Marker for Audio books in iTunes

Hi,
When you buy an audio book from iTunes Store you always get it as long audio file. 8 or 10 h. If you, in iTunes, could create a marker of some sort (as in iBooks). I have repeatedly lose track on where I was the last time. This would make listening to audio books on your products much easier. Because now it's not worth it, I think.

Just tag it to remember position in Get Info

I purchased an audio book on iTunes store and was charged for two and downloaded two of the same book.  How do I get my money back for the second one?

Try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so you may want to take a backup copy of it

  • HT203167 I have purchased an audio book from Itunes and paid for it, but it is nowhere to be found??

I bought an audio book from Itunes and cannot find it at all in Itunes!?
Worst ia that I cannot find a article to help me with my problem.

If you've downloaded it on your iPad then it should be in the Music app - when there are audiobooks on it you should get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so you may want to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File >Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) so that you can take a backup copy - it should copy over to the Books part of your computer's iTunes library

  • Hi, I have purchased an audio book on iTunes from an iMac and it does not show up on the cloud so I can't download it on my iPhone. Does anyone know why and how I can proceed to transfer the audio book purchase?

    Hi
I have purchased an audio book from iTunes with my iMac.
Now I wanted to listen to it on my iPhone so I proceeded to transfer the purchase and looked for the book in the purchased section of the store in the iTunes on my iPhone but it did not show up.
Does anyone know why and how I can transfer the audio book purchased on my iPhone so I can listen while away from the desk?
    Thank you,
    Sanya

Can you find the audio book by using the Search feature on the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync the audio book to the iPod?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Note you have to check the boxes in Books pane for the iPod in iTunes to sync books in general and another box to sync Audio Books.

If you haven't got a backup copy and if it's still in the store then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download (there is no guarantee that they will) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Did you copy your actual iTunes content from your computer before reinstalling iTunes, or did you just copy your iTunes library which only contains the pointers to your songs / books locations ?
You might, depending upon your country and if they are still in your country's store, be able to redownload your music purchases and your ibooks via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - you will need to delete the entries from your library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' messages) before they will potentially show with the cloud icon against them in Purchased for redownloading.
Or copy them from your backup of your downloads/library and add them to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library

  • I can not find audio books on itunes.

Can anyone help me please, I have purchased several Audio Books from itunes and now I want to sync them onto my iphone but i can not find them on itunes.

Sorry, but unless you're willing to pay for them again, you're out of luck unless the iTunes Store is willing to grant you an exception. As RG said, Apple has not been granted a license to allow redownloading of audiobooks. You can contact the iTunes Store here and ask:
    http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
but don't be surprised if they say "no", and it may take a couple of days before you get a response at all other than the automated acknowledgement of your submission.
    Good luck.

  • I purchased audio books from iTunes, but they will not sync and play on my iPad.

I purchased several new audio books from iTunes and they will not download to my iPad so I can listen to them How can this be?

    Hello Rex225
The best way to resolve the issue is to remove the music from the iPhone and then download the purchase again using the steps in the following article.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Archiving audio books in iTunes

I have a number of audio books stored in iTunes on my iMac. Books can be archived on iPad.  I would like to do the same in iTunes. That is, I don't want to delete the books, rather move them into storage so that I don't have to sort through 60 or 70 titles to find the most recent to transfer to my iPod. Can this be done?  A number of these books are missing titles. I would like to be able to add this information, so that I can sort alphabetically by title. Can this be done?

    >Select the file in itunes, right click - get info and add the names.
Thank you. This works for all but one title.
As for copying the books to an external drive or making cd's/dvd's.....that is something I'd like to avoid. Too much work, and I don't need to free space on the hard drive.
w/r/t archiving on the iPad...Certain apps allow archiving books...the Kindle app for example. It's convenient and books are easy to retrieve.
Re: Archiving audio books in iTunes

  • I was gifted 2 audio books in iTunes, but they are no longer in my library.  Have I lost those books?

I was gifted 2 audio books in iTunes, but they are no longer in my library.  Have I lost those books?  They quit showing up when I got a new computer.

Audio books cannot be redownloaded from the store like other iTunes purchases, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
How did you migrate the iTunes library from your old computer? Do you still have the old computer or a backup of the old computer? Then look for them in the iTunes Library there.
Any Audio book you have should be in your iTunes Library in the folder
    ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Audiobooks/
or whereever you have your iTunes library installed

  • Syncing audio books from itunes to ipad

i purchased 2 audio books from itunes for my ipad.  why will it not sync and transfer over?

    Configuration?

  • Audio books on itunes

I've just ripped (imported?) 6 CDs of an audio book and itunes has put it in alphabetic order of track - absolutley no good for a novel. How do I get it back to CD order and how do I prevent that happening again? TVM

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store - I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them that are requiring the one-time only download. You can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If they do then take a backup copy of it, and the rest of your downloads - even content that you can currently re-download there is no guarantee that they will remain in the store for re-downloading in the future, it's best to keep and maintain your own backup of your content.

I use my iPod for audio books.  How do I delete books from the iPod after I have listened to them?

    Hello ListenIt,
While the following was written for the iPhone, the process should be the same on your iPod Touch.
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.

  • I purchased audio book from iTunes store. It shows up in my iTunes library but is not uploading to my ipod Touch, even though my computer is authorized. Any suggestions?

I purchased an audio book from iTunes store. It successfully downloaded to my iTunes library< but will not upload to my ipod Touch, even though my computer is authorized. Any suggestions? Any and all are greatly appreciated.

If your iTunes is set on manual sync, then you have to manually drag and drop. Otherwise every time yousyncyou'll get all changes even if you don't want it.
