Markers/Comments/Tags/Labels dont show up on second computer

Hi Team,
My question:
Im in the process of editing a movie with many different sequences and have created numerous Adobe Premiere Project files (.prproj) via Adobe Prelude. When Im done adding those tags (or are they called labels or markers or comments or whatever in English?) to my footage, I export the Prelude project file (.plproj) to Premiere via the "File>Export to Premiere Pro" menu option and save it as Premiere Project file to my dropbox. My work mate can then open the Premiere project on her computer and see the tags in her time line to help her organize the footage for editing purposes. Although its not necessary, we even share the same folder structure on our external hard drives we work with (except for different drive letters until now, I just changed mine to match hers, it worked fine before though).
The problem is that I have created and shared a prproj-file like described above but my work mate cant see the tags I have included in the time line. I have used Encore chapter markers as well as standard comment markers in there but she cant see any in her Premiere Pro. This worked before with other files and I dont know what is different now. She can relink the files on her hard drive but doesnt see the appropriate markers.
Any ideas?
We are using Windows 7, I run Adobe Master Collection CS6.0.3 (my work mate also runs CS6.0.?) and work with Panasonic P2 footage files.

No its not stored in the media files (P2). The markers are actually stored in the .prproj files (Premiere Project file). I know this because other markers for a different project can be displayed correctly in Premiere by my work mate. We share the same set of media files (P2) on our hard drives. I add markers to my project in Prelude, export it to Premiere and save the project in a .prproj file. I then send the .prproj to my friend and she can open the project with my new markers on her computer with her harddrive own. Id did it yestersday for another sequence and it worked. I just dont understand why it doesnt work for the other project that I created before, its not because of a faulty project file either becuase I just recreated the .prproj file from a saved .plproj (Prelude project file) on my computer and send it to her as .prproj. It works on my computer but not on hers.
What is wrong?

Comments in iWeb Dont show up

O.K., when people leave a comment on my blog, it will show you the number of comments left. However, when you click on the post and scroll down to said comments, the only thing down there is a yellow box with text that reads:

Found the solution. I followed this guy's instructions, replaced the corrupt file, and all is well again.

Getting MP3 comments tag to show in iTunes

Hi
It seems when writing an MP3 Comment tag that iTunes needs the language to be specified with the correct three character code, or else left unused.
However Windows which I am also trying to support requires the language of the comment to be specified moreover the comment won't be visible
unless the specified language matches with the language Windows is running in. The solution for that is to define the language of the comment as xxx.
That means a messy solution is needed of writing two comments frames. Why I am asking here is to find out if iTunes accepts any three character codes for unspecified languge and if it could support xxx so that developers would not have to choose whether to support Windows or iTunes.

I can drag it to a playlist,
If it gets added to this playlist, it is in iTunes library.
Select it in iTunes, right click - Show in Finder to see where it is on your HD.
If it is not in the location shown in iTunes prefs > Advanced. make sure *Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library* is ticked.
Spotlight shows it residing in my Music Library,
What do you mean you *Music library*? There is no folder named *Music library*.

Transfer markers/comments to PP?

I have an m2t file already captured.   I want to use Ol CS5 to add markers/comments
that will import into PP CS5.   I've scanned the help, and watched one video tutorial
on Adobe TV but still can't get it to work. I've added the markers with comments at
spots in the clip using Ol and saved the Ol project. When I try and import the Ol project
into PP I get "un-supported file type".
Help?   Alternatives?

Please elaborate on what you mean by "log" and "capture." Those two terms get tossed around a lot in video, and it seems like everybody has a slightly different thing in mind.
Is the content on tape you want to get it onto the computer?
You said previously "there are no files in the OL project folder under "Clips." Did you record in OL? If so, when you load the project through which you recorded, do the clips show in the Project panel, and can they be played?

PSE 6 switching to a new computer - any way to import albums and tag/label heirarchies?

I've just switched to a new computer and have copied and imported all my photos over to it. When I imported the photos using PSE6, I lost all the heirarchies of tags/labels (e.g., people not in the people category, ditto for places, animals, etc.). Also, I've lost all my albums. Is there a way to export/import this information from my old computer before it goes to the recycling bin?

That is not good moving within Folder Location view should not produce missing files. This suggests you may have encountered one of the PSE bugs in handling hard drives.
I recommend letting this first attempt at doing a restore complete and then thoroughly testing it. Do File > Reconnect > All Missing to see if there are any missing files. Try viewing a number of your files in the Organizers full screen. And try importing a few dummy photos from the old drive to make sure you can have photos stored on both the old and new drives.

There are options you can set in the File > Restore Catalog command that control how folders are restored. See this Adobe tech note:

Assuming that your test above works ok, then you can redo the restore using the desired options.

Firefox 4 seems to action on some html tags that are included within a html comment tag which it should not.

Consider the following html code where I open a textarea and include a comment tag within the textarea. Within the comment tag (which Firefox 4 should ignore) I've included a close textarea tag. Firefox 4 (unlike FF3 and IE) closes the textarea.

Bookmarks sync erase new tags, labels and description on former synchronized bookmarks

on firefox 32.0.3
bookmarks synchronisation erase recent tags, labels and description during the sync.
this happen on already sync bookmarks on which we add some tags, labels and description, but not on new ones.
no error message when logging or unlogging.

Thank you for your question, I understand that after a recent sync to your sync account that there are Recent Tags, descriptions and labels missing. However it is only the older Bookmarks that are affected.
I have attached two screenshots to clarify to make sure I understand the feature that is affected:
# The first has the default recent tags and list of all tags.
# the second is an older bookmark visited 32 times that has all of the details after a sync.(However it never had a description or keyword)

Songs on my ipod dont show up the way they do in itunes

there have been a few cds that when I add them to my iTunes library work great, but once I put them on my iPod they dont show up where they're supposed to. For example, I have The Beatles' 1 album and it shows up in iTunes:
Artist: The Beatles
Album: 1
and when I get on my iPod there is no artist for The Beatles or Beatles, The or anything. But when I look in albums I can find the 1 album and thats where all the songs are. When the songs are played, it also says that the artist is The Beatles, but it still wont show up on the artist list. The same thing has happened in other ways, like one of my cds doesnt show up under the artist or album lists but I can pick the individual songs out of the songs section. How can I fix this? it shows up correctly when the song is actually plated, and on my itunes, but they arent categorized at all.
iPod 30gb

This isn't foolproof but there are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song is marked as part of a compilation or 2) it is missing an album name.
If the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. Compilations are stored in a separate folder in iTunes so the songs don't appear inside the normal Artist>Album folder which may be why this happens.
Also if tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in, in the absence of one you can just add None or Miscellaneous. See this link for more detail: I don't see some of my songs when browsing by artist on my iPod

I have exported my bookmarks to an external drive. I want to import them back and they dont show when i click import..

Yes, that is a JSON backup, so you need to remove the .html file extension and add a .json file extension instead.<br />
If Windows is stubborn and doesn't want to change the file type but merely changes the name to bookmarks.json.html then try to add quotes around the name when renaming or (temporarily) disable hiding the file extension.

Note that restoring a JSON backup will replace the current bookmarks, so you lose any bookmarks that aren't in the backup unless you first export the bookmarks to an HTML file.<br />

Aperture galleries on MobileMe dont show up on iWeb?

I have created some galleries in Aperture and sync'd them with my MobileMe account. I also have a website hosted on the same account but these galleries dont show up in iWeb when I try and link them? Galleries created in iPhoto show up fine and work as they should, its just the Aperture ones. They are visible however if I go direct into my MobileMe page and into the galleries?
Any ideas?

Im having a similar problem. I had had problems with my computer so i got a new one and downloaded the itunes store. But the thing is, even when i authorized the computer transferred my purchases and reset it by the menu and select keys, the new songs i downloaded to my ipod wont show up! If I understand the issue correctly, you have recently purchased a used iPhone and you do not see your Apple TV in the control center in order to AirPlay. To troubleshoot this issue please follow the steps outlined below.
Try these steps first
Make sure that you have the latest software on your iOS device and Apple TV.
Make sure that both devices have Wi-Fi turned on.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Network.
If you're trying to use peer-to-peer AirPlay, make sure that both devices have Bluetooth turned on.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Bluetooth.
If you don't see AirPlay in Control Center
When an AirPlay-enabled device is available, you'll see AirPlay in Control Center on your iOS device.
If you don't, try these steps:
Restart your iOS device and Apple TV.
Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Network. If your Apple TV is connected using Ethernet, make sure that it’s plugged in to the router you're using for Wi-Fi.

Speaker wire tags/labels

WE're about to switch our Home Theater around, and will be running surround sound speaker wires through the walls, instaed of those wire/cable channels, and it would just be great to have tags/labels attached to the speaker wires so that we will know which wires go to want input. I've had the orginal tape on my speaker wires for over a decade now. It's made it through three sets of speakers and 4 AVR's. It's cheap, easy, and effective. You could go buy a labeler or some 'speaker wire labels' if you want, but for something that's going to stay immobile and hidden you're really just paying more than you need for fanicer tape.
There's really no need to overthink this.
