Marketing Calendar : Display Views
Hi All,
We are working SAP CRM 2007 , we need to hide some of the standard Views available in Marketing calendar drop downs.
I cant see any Options available in SPRO settings of Marketing Calendar also.
Any Inputs are greatly appreciated
Best Regards,
Chandu
Hello Chandu,
You can assign the view to the object type. for example: If you are not using TPM, then you assign all the unwanted views to the TPM Object.
Now when you search in the marketing calendar and since you dont have TP's in the search result, those views assigned for TP will be automatically hidden.
Since it is not recommened to delete any standard delivered entries, this is an option.
Thanks & Regards

Marketing Calendar display only
Hi experts,
How do you allow a user to only have the authorization to view the marketing calendar calendar in PCUI? At the moment, I am not able to even allow this particular user to have "view only" rights. The other users I am able to allow them to view and edit the marketing calendar in PCUI.
I have already tried to use the Search function in the Marketing Calendar and then attempt to get to the Marketing Calendar view by using the "Go To" button and then selecting Marketing Calendar but the function doesn't even lead me to the Calendar.
Have I missed out steps?Hello Chandu,

Marketing Calendar functionality
Hi gurus,
I have the iview called marketing Calendar in my portal, and the portal is connected to the CRM system. If I run preview on the iview a java applet starts, but the only thing displayed is a red X. I am just interested in seeing what functionality which is in this calendar. Does it need a lot of CRM configuration ?
Can anyone guide me trough rest of the configuration?Hi,
Marketing calendar display the campaign entries fro better tracking and visibility.
Yes. You need to configure few items for marketing calendar to work. Refer to the best practice document C22 - Campaign management at : http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv340/CRM_DE/index.htm
First make sure, you are able to access the marketing calendar via CRM online using the t-code CRM_MKTPL_CALENDAR.

Marketing Calendar - View only authorization

Marketing Calendar IView Problem - CRM 4.0 6.2.3
Our current environment is a NW04 portal instance. We downloaded the CRM 4.0 6.2.3 and imported the content. We have also set up a system and enabled the content to connect and expose information from the back end CRM application (4.0)
We have been working with the campaign manager role and its associated pages and views and have run into an issue with the marketing calendar iView. All other content exposed from CRM is working as expected and do not have any issues. On further investigation it looks like the iView is driven off a custom Java iView that is delivered in the par file - com.sap.pct.crm.mkt.calendar.par. We have also applied the support pack that has been provided but still have an issue with the iView.
There is also no special setup process mentioned for this iView and looks like we may have issues with the par file.Hi
i have installed Business Package for CRM on EP6.0 SP12, and I assigned campaing manager role and when i login with that user name, The following error is displayed..but all the other pages in that workset are working fine...
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : pcd:portal_content/com.sap.portal.migrated/ep_5.0/roles/com.sap.pct.crm.CampaignManager/Management/Calendar/com.sap.pct.crm.mkt.Calendar
Component Name : null
Page could not create the iView.
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
would just like to know, it this is the same error what u have seen and how did u rectify.please help me in this regard.
Thank you
BTW, i checked console_logs, default.srvr.trc.1 but i dont find any info there.. is there some otherlog file that i should check with..please let me know... -
CRM 2007 - Marketing Calendar - Applet Failed
Hi Gurus
When trying to view the Marketing Calendar, I get "Loading Java Applet Failed" message.
The rest of the screen displays correctly, just the Calendar itself does not display.
One of my colleagues has his PC set-up the same as me and it works for him, I've tried to mimic his set-up but still the issue remains.
I'm on I.E 6.0 Java version JRE 1.4.2_07
Maximum points for a speedy resolution to this.
Many Thanks
PandurangaHi Alexandre
Ended up logging as OSS message.
Applied notes: 1237477 & 1177590 as per recommendation.
Due to Proxy issues also had to update Exclusions in Lan settings.
Once this was sorted the Calendar did display.
Still a number of issues:
Very slow to load
Tends to crash after only a number of changes
Will deal with these at a later date.
Will award you full points as this is still the correct answer.
Many Thanks

Is there a way to default the monthly calendar display
so that the current day always shows on top? ie, I want to always be able to see what's in the future 3-4 weeks, not what's in the past 3-4 weeks. The default monthly display is archaic--only allows you to see through the last day of the month. Suddenly today
is Oct. 30th, and I have a ton of projects lined up in November, but because I haven't been scrolling down every day, I haven't been aware of them every day. I realize there are other tools in Microsoft to help me stay on task, such as reminders and such,
but it would be helpful if I could always have the current day display on top of the monthly view so I can quickly scan what's coming up in the next few weeks.Thank you!
Right, I already have it in Month view. My question is a little more specific--I'd like for the current day to always display at the top. For example, today is Oct. 31st, so the current day is at the bottom of the calendar since it is the last day of the month.
I can view everything in October that I've already completed. What I can't see are the future weeks because we haven't hit November yet. I'd like for the current day to always display at the top of my calendar so I can always see what's coming in the following
three - four weeks (whether they're a part of that month or not). I've been to other forums trying to find the answer, and have come across the same exact question from frustrated users--but there seemed to be no solution. So I'm posing the question myself
in this forum. Do you know if this is possible? What I found from other forums is that Outlook defaults to a physical 'desk' type calendar format--so just as I'd use a paper calendar at my desk, I wouldn't be able to see the following weeks unless I either
flip the page to that month or I come to the first day of the next month, thereby tearing the the old month off and now only able to see the current month. That format is just so...paper...and archaic! Essentially I want the calendars to loop so it doesn't
even really matter what month it is--I just always want to see what lies ahead without having to scroll down. With our being in the Technology Age, I'd assume this is a logical expectation, but we may be stuck with the replica version of the paper-desk-calendar
format until Outlook programmers add this Technology Age feature in newer versions.
See, this month kind of messed me up because I have so many projects for November that start tomorrow and next week, but I haven't seen them until this week. I would have been better quipped--at least expecting them--had I been able to see all of those projects
since last week or the week prior.
If there is no solution to this answer, would you know how I can contact Outlook to provide feedback? I'm guessing a newer version is on its way...
Thanks again in advance! -
Modifying a Calendar List view
We have a InfoPath form library containing media items. Some of the items have start and end dates for which we have created calendar list views.
All of these calendar items display with 12:00 am - 12:00 am at the beginning of the display. I've seen posts about using the Event content type to hide start and end dates, but that does not seem to apply in this case. Does anyone know how I could hide
the useless times that are displayed in these calendar list views? i have attached a screenshot.
Thanks!
I should add that we are using only the start date for both start and end so that you are seeing when the item is first published, and not its duration. The times are unnecessary.
Leon BryantHi Leon, you can do this one of two ways- adding a content editor to the page with code or use SP Designer to remove it. See the following links for details:

Calendar displays 24 hours versus 12 hours
I somehow inadvertinly changed my daily and weekly calendar display to 24 hours. In day or week view, there are 24 hour segments. Does anyone know how to change back to a 12 hour display?
Hi Bob
Ok Try this one, now if a time was specified, it should be used:
$SiteCode = Read-Host -Prompt "SiteCode"
$SiteServer = Read-Host -Prompt "Servername (FQDN)"
$CollectionsToChange = (Get-WmiObject -Namespace "root\sms\site_$SiteCode" -Class "SMS_Collection" -ComputerName $SiteServer | Select Name, __PATH |Out-GridView -OutputMode Multiple)
foreach ($collectionObj in $CollectionsToChange){
try{
$collection = [wmi]"$($collectionObj.__Path)"
$collection.RefreshType = 2
if($collection.RefreshSchedule -ne $null){
$interval = ($collection.RefreshSchedule)[0]
$Interval.HourSpan = 12
} else {
$IntervalClass = Get-WmiObject -List -Namespace "root\sms\site_$SiteCode" -Class "SMS_ST_RecurInterval" -ComputerName $SiteServer
$Interval = $IntervalClass.CreateInstance()
$Interval.HourSpan = 12 #Update after 12 hours
$collection.RefreshSchedule = $Interval
$collection.put()
Write-Host -ForegroundColor green "$($collection.Name): $($collection.CollectionID)"
} catch {
Write-Host -ForegroundColor red "ERROR: $($collection.Name): $($collection.CollectionID): $($_.Exception.Message)"

How to show next instance of Recuring Event in Calendar List View
We have a calendar that we are using to display upcoming events. However we are unable to get a clean output of next instance date for recurring events such as paydays or monthly meetings. As opposed to showing next instance it shows the date
the event was originally put in the calendar.
I am guessing it will take a custom script, but I don't even know where to begin with that.Hi Swen,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display the recurring events as separated events in the calendar list view.
I recommend to create a Standard View, with Expanded Recurring Events for the calendar list,
and each instance of a recurring event will be showing in this view.

Best regards.

Calendar: Month view Needs Daily Items on Side
This is a "problem" on N8 and E7 and X6 (as far as I have noticed)
or probably all Symbian^3 phones....The Calendar month view simply shows a table of each month with dates sorted in columns of dayOfWeek.
This view takes up the full screen space.
I would like to request this view be similar to E72
1. When user select a date in the month -> another part of the screen would display the agenda of that date.I have the same think as I have upgraded my N97 to E7 couple weeks ago
the month view in S^3 Calendar is not forthright as that in S60 5th
